541  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcointalk User Joust, attempted to scam my Sig campaign. on: August 30, 2015, 03:48:03 PM
It takes a lot to admit fault and wrong doing. At least he is doing that. Sounds like he just made a bad choice and is not like your typical scammer that disappears never to be heard from again.
542  Other / Off-topic / Re: whos Prepping ? for any disaster? on: August 30, 2015, 03:39:59 PM
Living in southern California almost everyone has an earthquake kit and water. It would just be stupid not to. They even tell you on the radio and TV commercials to have an earthquake kit. So I'm prepped in that way, but I'm not stock piling on bullets and canned food.
543  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: August 30, 2015, 03:29:54 PM
The problem with signature campaigns is that it reduces the quality of posts in the forum. For you sig guys, be honest: there are many times where you otherwise wouldn't have posted but since you have "work" to do you add a half-thought out comment and jet off to do the same on another thread.

That's not true in all cases.  I spent a year on this forum before ever joining a signature campaign. When I found out that they actually paid well and that I could get some extra BTC for posting on a forum that I already regularly post on then I decided to join. If the sig campaigns went away I'd still be posting and spending the majority of my time online on this forum.

Thanks, im using the network monitor on my faucet on the bottom just for show at http://bitcoinfaucetexchange.com

Nice, looks good, I like the color scheme!

Yes it looks good. Thank You again. Also thanks for the video on money pot it was very helpful.   Smiley

You're welcome! Dan put together a great script to make it really easy for anyone to start a moneypot app. There were a few things that weren't 100% clear during the setup process so I thought I would make a video about it  Smiley
545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto PLEASE resolve this debate? 1MB blockstream vs 8MB Gavin Blocks on: August 30, 2015, 05:14:30 AM
Yea right. People won't change sides just because Satoshi voices his opinion. People will say "oh well looks like Gavin already got to satoshi and that's why he supports XT", or "Satoshi wants to keep everything under his control and that's why he supports core".

Also as I have mentioned before I don't think Satoshi will ever get involved in this debate or any others.
This is an experiment to him and he needs to see absolute proof that a decentralized system like this can work out issues.
If he were to get involved it would show that bitcoin is not ready for decentralization and requires a central figure to make decisions.
546  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Faucet+Dice - 200 Sats Every 3 Minutes + DICE! 50% Ref Commission! on: August 30, 2015, 05:09:24 AM
Added a verification tool for the dice rolls. http://coinables.website/verify
This will make it easier for people to verify their rolls. Just input the secret and the roll and it will handle the SHA1 hash for you!
547  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Exploiting Bitcoin Network Flaws on: August 30, 2015, 04:27:42 AM
Is OP talking about double-spends?  You can temporarily "gain" money this way.
Or is OP asking if there's a way to create bitcoins out of thin air? Not anymore, that flaw was patched Wink

No preview of widgets. I use Firefox

Hmm, that's odd. I'm using firefox as well and I tested it in all the other main browsers and it's working.
You have to press the [Get Code] button before the preview appears.
549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: August 30, 2015, 02:11:43 AM
yup just adding .01 btc every week sometimes a bit more if there is a sudden drop, my price average is about $232

You are pretty lucky to have an average price like that.
There are people who have purchased coins in the $600s and are not sure when they will break even.

Did someone say my name??
Wink
Yea I'm one of those people that was buying at $800 plus. I was buying on the way up and the whole way back down. I'm glad I never went all in and just kept to steady monthly buys. I should do the math one day and see what my price average is.

This is a very competitive industry and people are afraid to trust someone with this sort of implementation.
Most people that are looking to buy these scripts don't know how to develop themselves so they have to trust the developer 100%.
You should strongly consider providing the code the another developer here free that could act as an escrow/inspector that will validate there are no backdoors or exploits. If you can get a reputable member to give them their word of approval you'll have a better response.
Sounds good.
Would you be willing to do this?
If you can find someone to check over the code for me that would be great as well. There has been no reported problems or bugs with it so far and I have tested it pretty well.
I always install it for the user and recommend them to test over all the bugs, when I install I do a quick skim for sql injection and if the bets work ok and how the different web servers handle it, but its all been good.

As a developer I wouldn't mind looking at it to make sure there are no backdoors. I could hash the build of that code so people who buy it can be sure they are using the same version that I reviewed.  I'm not a hacker though so I would be unable to do the checking for exploits part. There are some people here that offer hacking services to test your site or scripts robustness.
I will prepare the codes and can send them over tomorrow. I guess I could zip them and then you could compare hashes with the ones I send them. My code is quite easy to follow and is generally organized.

Yea however you send it to a buyer so that they can compare the hash of the one I review versus the one you send them.
I suppose I should mention my strong suits are PHP, mysql, javascript, html and css. So if it's coded in nodeJS, Ruby or something else I'm not the person to review. But based on your demo sites it looked like it was mostly PHP.

554  Other / Off-topic / Re: what do you think will happen in september 2015 on: August 30, 2015, 12:59:05 AM
Oh man, how many apocalypses have we had now?  What was it... just December 21st 2012 was the Mayan doomsday, nothing happened. Then there was another in like March 2013 that didn't happen. When did Terrance Mckinnay's time wave zero end? So many of these doomsday predictions with no result.  The best one so far was that huge asteroid DA14 that supposed to get really close to Earth on Feb 2013, but instead the Chelyabinsk Event happened. A completely "unrelated event" they say... I doubt that was a coincidence.
555  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Investments on: August 30, 2015, 12:53:14 AM
I'd be careful investing in any bitcoin related product as they all come with risk to loss of principle. If you decide to take that risk here are some suggestions:

- You can convert to CLAMS and invest on Just Dice, I got pretty decent returns there for a while.
- BTCJam, I haven't used them in about a year but I was getting good returns by investing in A and B credit individuals.
556  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [bitfinex] 7h35c4mm3r'5rh370r1c [bitfinex] on: August 30, 2015, 12:11:30 AM
How can clicking close multiple times be viewed as bad "behavior"? Finex should correct this if they don't want to be viewed as a scam site. If he is closing his position and some bug in their system turned it into a long and started making random orders on his behalf it's obvious that finex is at fault not the user clicking the button more than once. Insane!
557  Other / Meta / Re: Where to make this post? on: August 29, 2015, 11:57:42 PM
So you are a developer and looking for funds to get off the ground? You can take out a loan on BTCJam if you need BTC to get your website project started. It will be hard finding any investors here with your low member rank. I've used BTCjam for investing and borrowing, but it's been over a year so things might have changed.
558  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 29, 2015, 11:46:29 PM
Are we nearly there yet?

Yup, bitstamp and bitfinex are moving upward with great rocket forces. If this pattern continues we will reach Titan any day now.   Smiley
559  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: looking for developer as partner on: August 29, 2015, 11:41:18 PM
Please provide more information about your project.
If you are looking to start a new silk road you will get a different people responding than if you want to create gambling site, or faucet or just sell stuff for bitcoin. Makes a big difference.
560  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is safer? Blockchain.info with 2fa or freshly wiped online comp w/ multibit on: August 29, 2015, 11:22:25 PM
Private key control is the only thing that matters to keep your coins secure.

Trusting a third party with your key is not something you want to do. I'd rather go with MultiBit.

You could use Blockchain.info and export the private keys, but nothing stops them from transferring your funds using your private key before you realise it.

The un-sacred succulent is right. It all comes down to owning your keys and the way you store them.
Personally I dislike multibit, it has many glitches AND I would not store any notable size of coins with blockchain.info either.
I prefer COLD storage and out of the two, multibit would be the only option that offers a cold storage method.
