541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - February 24 on: February 24, 2024, 12:59:08 PM

Ancajas doesn't have good timing, and he looks tired now. Inoue is very disciplined to still keep his game plan at work; the counter-punching is working well for him, and the fight has just ended. What happened was the most unexpected, and that is Inoue won via KO, that body shot though. I think Ancajas is done here; he is not the same anymore, even a boxer that doesn't have a high KO rate has knocked him out.

Sorry for the lost bets, guys. That's gambling; at least the fight wasn't boring because Ancajas was really attacking and would always want to go for a kill, but his timing is off, and he doesn't have the power to KO the champion.

In round 3 I thought Ancajas was very slow and his timing was off, Takuma Inoue may not have his brother's power but he has his brother's speed, Ancajas missed a lot of big shots Takuma is beating him and he caught Ancajas with a lot of counter punches, it was not a boring fight and anyone can go down anytime when they exchanged blows until Ancajas was hit by a kidney punch.

Two great Filipino fighters just lost because of the body punches tonight this is indeed a bad night of boxing for the Filipino boxing fans, Takuma landed a perfectly timed kidney punch and we all know once you are hit with a kidney punch it takes the oxygen out of the body, and every effort to stand is futile.

Now we only have Casimero to carry the Philippine flag in boxing, ever since Pacquiao retires in boxing there's no new prospect, it seems the great era in Philippine boxing has ended because of these two losses, another Filipino fighter remaining now is Mark Magsayo, who just scored a knock out against Avelar in his featherweight debut.
I just hope there is still good fights remaining for Ancajas this is a bad year for Filipino boxers.
542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Outcomes of insighting gambling for a source of income. on: February 24, 2024, 12:03:48 PM

Just in, he is on medical attention after he slumped as a result of loosing a borrowed fund meant for a business re-startup after the gamble made him squandered his previous business.
At his regained to a normal state of health, he explained that he thought he would be lucky to win at the stake so as he could expand his intended business with a bigger capital.
At a point I don't see any business oriented ideal in this Friend because $1,000 ls good enough for a start of lucrative businesses.

This is two heartbreaks in a row when you loan money and plan to use it in gambling to expand your business and you happen to lose it and because of the loss you suffer from a deep depression that results in hospitalization, all of these happens because of your greediness, your greediness thinking that you can expand your business if you can double your money and you can pay the loan if you can win.

People should be satisfied with what they have and they have to contend with what they have and work their way up and not rely on gambling for a quick profit, the money that should be for business is for expansion if your friend just proceeds in using the money for their expansion they could have triple the amount and pay off the loan and further expand their business.

Now he is on a loan, and he cannot expand his business for lack of funds, the hard lesson here is never never take a loan to gamble, you are pressured to win and because you are pressured to win you can make careless decisions that will result in losing all your money.

Undercard has started, unfortunately, for Filipino boxing fans, Jonas Sultan lost via knockout to Riku Masuda in round 1
This a sorry loss for Jonas Sultan he just lost to an unknown guy with a record of 3-1 before the fight, this is Jonas Sultan first knockout loss of his career and it hurts considering he is on a good run he just out from a unanimous decision win against Frank Gonzales in Liverpool England and for the record, Jonas is one of the few fighters who has beaten John Riel Casimero, Jonas is a veteran of many championship fights and its very unfortunate that he lose to a guy who has only 4 fights, who can be considered new in professional boxing..

Sultan was seen shaking his head while heading to the dressing room I wonder what would be his future now because of this loss.

This was the shot that hurt Jonas It was a straight left kidney shot at the same spot Gervonta landed on Garcia

544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Gervonta Davis - Frank Martin WBA Lightweight Title Date to be announce on: February 23, 2024, 03:34:34 PM
I need not create a poll here obviously Gervonta Tank Davis (29-0, 27 KOs) will be a heavy favorite against Frank Martin  (18-0, 12 KOs) this is for the WBA lightweight title.

Frank Martin was supposed to fight Shakur Stevenson but he turned down that fight and now he is in a bigger fight against Gervonta

Although Frank Martin is a heavy underdog in this fight he has a good resume, he beat tough opponents so he has a chance to upset Gervonta if Gervonta shows carelessness and underestimate Frank Martin

Davis is a former titleholder at 130 pounds who also owns wins over Mario Barrios (at 140 pounds), Leo Santa Cruz (2020 KO of the Year) and Rolly Romero. Davis also scored a ninth-round TKO victory over Hector Luis Garcia last January.

Quote
Gervonta Davis and Frank Martin have struck a deal to fight for Davis' WBA lightweight title in late spring/early summer, sources tell ESPN.
The matchup will headline a PBC on Prime Video pay-per-view.

Davis (29-0, 27 KOs) is ESPN's No. 2 lightweight and No. 8 pound-for-pound boxer. The power-punching southpaw held the WBA's secondary version of its lightweight title, but Davis was elevated after undisputed champion Devin Haney vacated his four titles to move up to 140 pounds.

545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble with what you can afford to lose can actually make a good investment on: February 23, 2024, 02:39:33 PM

Put this in places that if you keep those money into investment do you know how much you would gain by the end of the month or year without even you making such profits while gambling but yet we kept preaching the word "gamble with what you can afford to lose" why not some people use that same money to go into bitcoin investment or any other investment that could help their lives rather than wasting them into gambling and even secure a better winning themselves.

Gamblers are aware that you need to invest to secure your future, and they also need to unwind or have a diversion many investors prefer to enjoy their time in casinos many big businessmen in our country are patrons of physical casinos, some of these businessmen talk about their business or do a deal inside a casino while they are taking rests.

We should not judge people who gamble because we don't know them personally, it's their money, and it's their choice what to make out of it as long as they are responsible gamblers, some gamblers are successful investors, not all who gamble are irresponsible people who do not know how to invest or run a business, one of the owners of one of the biggest mall in our country, frequent casinos so how can you say to him straight that he should not gamble and instead put it investment when he is already running successful companies.
546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Do You Phase Or Are You Slowing Down Your Gambling Activity When.... on: February 23, 2024, 01:32:06 PM
I'm talking about religious activity..

The Christians have the Holy Week and it lasts for a whole week.

The other religions I did not mention have activities or festivities that their followers and believers must observe.

Did you slow down or are you taking a vacation? how long is your vacation before and after the religious activity?

In my case, I usually slow down and stop all my gambling activity, two weeks before the religious activity so I can fully reflect on my religion, and after the religious activity, I usually take a week before I get back to my normal gambling activity.

You participation in this discussion is appreciated.

547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: February 23, 2024, 12:06:54 PM
Every day, thousands of dollars enter or leave the treasury of casinos, and we always hear about a gambler who wins or loses a large sum of money.

The thing that caught my attention is that the casino never loses. The money that you win is not the property of the casino, but of another player. The casino is in the process of recycling the money that the players have invested. There is always a winner and a loser, and when you bet with an amount of money, you bet against the money of all the other players. If you win, they will pay you from their money, and if someone else wins, they will pay himBTCBTC from your money.

So the casino remains the biggest beneficiary, right?

You just have to check the Gambling section of this forum to see the new casinos creating their announcement not to mention all the new casinos that prefer to promote on advertising networks and casino review sites.
The casino industry is a multi-billion dollar industry, two decades ago online casinos did not exist but now they are the top online businesses that generate multi-billion profits it's a steady climb of these online businesses, every businessman's dream is to create an online casino and to have a slice in the market I think the conception of Cryptocurrency have helped the popularity of online casinos.

Gamblers will continue to gamble and there are new gamblers daily looking for a casino to play, they don't care if they can make money from gambling all they want is to play regardless if they win or not, so between gamblers and casinos it is obvious who's winning between the two.

Quote
In 2019, the entire industry grossed $45.7bn worldwide, according to a Statista survey. A year later, this figure jumped to $55.1bn and continued rising. Statistics show global online gambling revenue has grown by an average of 20% in the past four years before reaching $95bn in 2023. Statista expects the entire market to continue seeing double-digit revenue growth in the following years and hit a $117.6bn value by 2025.

The guy is a popular gambling video streamer with 8 million followers.

And if you look at all the content and post on his page AkoSiDogie You will see the majority of his content is all about streaming of local gambling sites.

For every video he created and posted on his page, he had a link to one local gambling platform I like to believe that like all the other gambling streamers he is being paid to promote the platform where he is playing he has 8 million followers and he has a good interaction with his viewers making him a very good promoter of local gambling hub.
I'm sure there is a deal between the gambling platform and this streamer most likely a sponsorship deal I checked some of his reels and found out that once he loses on one of his videos the next video shows that he can regain his winnings.
These streamers are not making huge losses because there are no reports of streamers losing turning into a beggars because of his losses and they always manage to regain their losses.

Some streamers are faking their streams with fake money, and fake streamers check out this article

Meron na ba dito na nagresign sa trabaho at nagfull time na sa Bitcoin investment at iba pang pagkakakitaan sa crypto?

Enjoying life while young kahit enough lang ang ipin or ipon hard now then enjoy later once matanda na basta ensured na financially?

550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun and not a way of making money on: February 22, 2024, 03:19:21 PM
There's a lot of debate about gambling whether is it for fun or a way to make money, this is the exact definition of gambling.

When we go to a casino, or a lottery, or a horse betting station, or challenge a friend for a bet, we are betting or risking our money for a chance to double it so the act is a motivation for us that we want to make money from gambling.

And on the part of having fun, it is betting your money that you can afford to lose, it's not fun anymore when you put your money intended to pay a bill it's impossible to have fun doing that, your wife is going to despise you if you do that.

We all want to make money from betting it is just human to hope to make money from risking his money, all casinos are created to invite you to take a chance of doubling your money, but they don't want you to use your savings or money to pay bills which is they always remind players to only play what they can afford to lose and they expect their players to take heed of their call to gamble responsibly.

There's a thrill in playing in a casino and you want to go home still remembering that thrill and not the money that you lose intended for food, you will just hate yourself for doing that and you will forget all the fun you have.

551  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don’t play gambling with drugs or in half sleep on: February 22, 2024, 12:47:11 PM
I had a friend who use to play the gambling only when he consumed drugs,Sometimes he use yo win the money. But most of the time he loss the funds, when we have a chat on the weekend we shared our experiences. The reason of the loss in the drug consumption is the gambler will play the game without any hesitation to take risk. The gambling is the risky game, the gamblers who take huge risk some times make the huge multiple of betting dollars. But the risk doesn’t make him win, because the meaning of the risk is the possibility of losing and winning.Every month we meet each other, the odds between us is gambling.

I'm sure it is a prohibited drug and not a prescription drug, prohibited drugs like Marijuana or cocaine will cloud your mind and if you become high you will lose logic and do whatever you want to do, It is a high risk, and they could lose a lot of money without being aware that they are depositing money that they are not aware or suppose to use, they have no control of their action and they might end up broke without even knowing why they are broke.
Taking prohibited drugs while gambling are two deadly combinations and it's your ticket to getting broke

Quote
My friend also added when he had huge winning in the night games without drugs,he had an habit of playing the gambling at the earning morning after wake up.It doesn’t mean an addiction,it was his dedication towards the game. But the sad part is he will loss sometimes if he wake up in the few hours sleep. When he had shared this I had advice him not to do the gambling in both in drugs or early morning games.Because we should not play the game at the early morning, because we are beginning the day.If the game give the loss in the early morning, the entire day will goes in a negative vibe. The new gamblers should take it as the lesson to avoid loss in gambling.

I gamble early in the morning but after taking a hot coffee if you're half asleep and still in dream mode you cannot decide and you have no control over your betting this is like throwing a stone in an open field and hoping you'll hit something and there's also a possibility that you misplaced a bet and you miscalculate your bets like betting only $50 and you end up betting $500.
You should only gamble when you are attentive to your bet because how can you enjoy something that you are not aware of what you're doing?
552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: February 22, 2024, 10:49:12 AM
^^ Just typical for a promoter to say this kind of statement and it's either will backfire on them as Francis or someone from his camp reads it, might motivate them to knock Joshua out. Or AJ is really in good shape for this fight and will show it here.

We are entering the last week of February, and we all know that how time flies.

Francis Ngannou is still 4:1 underdog.

Joshua wants to be in the best shape of his fighting career because fighters that have floored and beaten him, Usyk and Ruiz their power is nothing compared to Ngannou's, and Joshua has no recovery power when hit by big punches, as shown on his fight against Ruiz where he spit his mouthpiece failed to response to the referee when asked if he wants to continue, he is easily frustrated and disoriented when hit by big punches.

Joshua may be the favorite in this fight but he has excess baggage brought on by three humiliating losses and Ngannou has nothing to lose because this is his second fight and he can always shift to MMA if something does not go according to his plan in boxing but for Joshua, if he losses the fight that could be the end of his career and it's going to be a tough climb, he cannot lose on this very important fight this is possibly his last chance to regain a heavyweight title and a chance to fight Fury for the title Greatest heavyweight champion of all time

JOSHUA CLAIMS NGANNOU IS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE OF HIS LIFE
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: February 21, 2024, 03:41:20 PM
The poll is very interesting as of now here is the result of the poll

Anthony Joshua by KO   - 4 (14.8%)
Anthony Joshua by decision   - 6 (22.2%)
Francis Ngannou by KO   - 15 (55.6%)
Francis Ngannou by decision   - 2 (7.4%)
Draw   - 0 (0%)
Total Voters: 27

The majority of the voters of this poll believe that Ngannou will knock out Joshua and that includes me, I still believe that Ngannou is on the right track in his training, and it seems Joshua's manager Hearns is fully aware that Ngannou is favored to win the match that he releases this statement, this is to make it appear that Joshua is in top shape and Ngannou is in big trouble.

Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou: Eddie Hearn Gives Update on AJ’s Shape, Warns Former MMA Star

I don't think this will scare Ngannou and its a bad tactic it will just motivate Ngannou to be at his best because Joshua has a lot of weaknesses, once he hurts Joshua, he will become timid and just become defensive just like what happened to his match against Ruiz and Usyk.
For the record, Ngannou was never been knocked down or seriously hurt in all his matches and I don't think Joshua is the first that will hurt him.

555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wednesday had been my bad day to gamble. on: February 21, 2024, 12:55:18 PM

Anyway, some will say it is just a superstitious belief but what if it keeps on happening?
How about you? Do you have that one day when you feel like you are not even winning whatever you do or whatever game you play?

You're lucky that you have one bad day, my rate is 4 out 2 which is 4 days of bad days and 2 days where I have a small luck, but I have no particular day where I have bad luck or good luck, mine is varied sometime I have 3 straight days of bad luck followed by one bad luck, and there was a time I have a long streak of bad luck.

We don't have control of our luck when it comes to playing in a luck based games, the best time that you can do when faced with a streak of bad luck is to stop and take it easy, and I don't believe in superstitious either, I remember when I was so active playing on Mine games I create patterns where I eluded the 4 bombs I  triple my bankroll for four straight days but on the fifth day and onwards the pattern did not work anymore I just keep losing.

I figure it must be the house's edge, you really can't figure out a winning pattern when playing in luck-based games, all efforts are futile to set up a winning pattern, so don't believe people you see on YouTube or some newbies posting here selling their no lose gambling methods, it's fake and they are just going to scam.

A couple, who had been dating for a mere three months before they won an eye-watering $1.9 million dollars, split soon after.

Source: https://www.news.com.au/finance/money/wealth/lotto-war-i-won-19million-lotto-with-my-girlfriend-then-she-dumped-me-out-of-the-blue/news-story/c1f568efd16ff7f0aa0efe72652cabe5

Based on the situation of this couple, regardless of them being split soon after the winning, I think the best thing to do here is to cut the prize into half so that tensions between the two parties will de-escalate and avoid any confrontation or emotional turmoil and stress that sometimes end up so badly on both of them. Ego clash won't bear good results that is why we need to keep ourselves calm and fair with others especially in a situation like this.

All lotteries around the world have ruling in case there is a dispute on the ticket , it is clearly stated that
Quote
“The National Lottery Rules for Scratchcard Games make clear that only one person can be the owner of a ticket and that only the person whose name and address is written on the back of a winning scratchcard can claim a prize.
“This means that a prize can only be paid to one person and this is always communicated clearly to prize claimants.

So whatever agreement they have about the winning it should be on paper and the holder of the tickets gets to decide whom she will share his prize on this case it looks like they do not have a very strong relationship that when an issue like this comes up they have a disagreement the man has a case because the money that was used to purchase the ticket comes from his pocket but she can claim that the money was a loan for her to buy the ticket.

I don't think it will stand in any court where the lender of the money that was used to purchase for the winning ticket has the right to the winning ticket.
if the court will rule in his favor then any employer will ask his employee that won millions in a lottery to share his winning because the money comes from his
pocket, the rule is who bought the ticket whose name is written in the back deserves the prize regardless of where the money comes from.

There was similar scenario that made headline where a man give his friend a set of numbers to bet and it happens that the winning set of number hit the jackpot, and the giver is asking a 50% share, the court denied his claim because, the winner is the one who decided to bought the ticket, his name was behind the back of the ticket, regardless if there 's someone who gave the winning numbers.
557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: February 20, 2024, 03:11:25 PM

Well, we will see if Ryan could give him some competitive fight. This fight based on the experts is just one-sided, and despite the popularity of Ryan Garcia, he was given +370 to win. That's a huge insult to his capabilities. However, as you said, for Ryan Garcia's supporters, they'll take it as an opportunity.

If you're a fan of Ryan Garcia it is an insult, but if you're a bettor that's a fact, backed by stats, analysis, and past performance of both fighters, no doubt Ryan is a good boxer but on what level? In boxing, there's a level to this and it was proven in his fight against Gervonta that you don't give a fighter an A level who is making his first legit championship fight against a fighter who has over 10 championship fights, the discrepancies is pretty obvious.

In this match, Haney is the A-level here, in boxing or any contact sports there is a saying " To be a man you gonna beat the man" Haney did it twice against Kambosos where he wrestled the crown, and Lomachencko who is considered to be one of the pounds for pound great so Haney is considered the top favorite here.

For Ryan to claim that he is King Rye like what fans like to call him, he needs to convincingly beat Haney, which I doubt he can because his offense is pretty obvious, he sets up the jab so he can deliver the right hook, something that Haney can easily read.

And another thing, Garcia has never fought a fighter who can shift from a normal stance to an unorthodox one effectively, Haney may not be a knockout artist but he is one boxer who can make a good boxer like Ryan an ordinary boxer.
558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Wins: Your Money Was Returned to You. on: February 20, 2024, 01:57:32 PM
There have been saying that before you win a game in gambling, you would have lost enough funds and that means you didn't win any new or extra money to yourself but the casino return part of your money which you have lost before to you.
It depends on the gambler. A chronic gambler easily forgets his losses and rejoices when he wins. He is fixated on winning and forgets the amount of money he lost he never calculates his losses all he cares about is his winnings he knows the amount that he wins but has no idea of his losses. A responsible gambler knows this fact, which is why he keeps it as additional bankroll for his next session.

Quote
Some will still say that what about those who have not playing gamble before and they won in their first day in gambling. Well those people newly converts to the gambling system will still dash the casino company that win again because the first time win is always to lure them to the system and making them to perpetual adoration to gamble.
This is why many consider beginner's luck as a curse because you have become motivated and overwhelmed with your winning that you begin to think  that you have luck in gambling and you can win over and over again, but this is just an illusion, they will hold on to that believe until they accumulate huge losses and regret it, I always caution all my friends who just started to gamble to not be confident when they're experiencing early winnings because its an illusion that will soon catch them.

Quote
And I don't think someone in the gambling industry has as a win win gambling history. Or you wins are bigger than the loss. And all the experiences I have in gambling I have not seen that and also those of my friends who are gamblers have not to me that they only win and there is no loss record in their gambling history. And all the ones I have seen and known, the loses are more than the wins. And when I carefully look at the argument I also accept the assertion that what you win was part of your loss. Is that true? Make your input.
If it's playing in casinos we seldom see gamblers whose winning percentage is higher than their losses, some brag that their stats are great but they do not include all their losses, but it's different if it is a lottery, it is extremely hard to win a lottery, you have a better chance to get hit by lightning twice than hit a lottery jackpot.
Casinos are profit-driven platforms don't deceive yourself that you could make it your cash cow, it's the opposite gamblers are their cash cow so treat gambling as an entertainment platform so you can cut your losses and free your mind.
559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Taylor vs Catterall - April 27 on: February 20, 2024, 12:13:18 PM

Saw the feed on my social media, about the press conference.

https://twitter.com/HotBoxingMinute/status/1759616800541802668

Josh Taylor looks old to me, sorry for his fans here. But the press conference is funny as hell, everyone has to say something bad against each other including the trainer of Jack.

You're just stating the fact he does look old it has something to do with his training yes this is one of the evidence that Taylor is trying to cut weight he needs to maintain a weight that is nearest to his ideal weight a week before the weigh-in so he can make the 140 in a gradual manner, so instead of being in his natural weight during the training and just to drastically cut weight one or two weeks before the fight.

Taylor is doing it right, the 147 weight two weeks before the fight is an ideal weight he can easily make the cut and rehydrate in time for the fight, what happened in the press conference was expected because Caterall cannot accept the defeat it was a very controversial win considering that all titles are at stake then, it's a big frustration for Caterall and he shows it in the press conference.

Not only that, there was a slapping incident at the press conference, Caterall just could not control himself from Taylor's taunt it's only 7 days before the fight the thrash talk will continue I just hope this time they will settle once and for all who is the better fighter I hope Taylor can make the weigh-in I like to see his move and his movement in the weigh, you can easily tell if a boxer will struggle in the ring, the weigh-in is an indication.
here is the video of that slap

Romero is known as a bully inside and outside of the ring, but I don't think he can bully Pitbull in this fight, the last time he did bullying was in a fight against Gervonta he tried to be impose his bullying style and machismo against Gervonta but that's really what Gervonta want because when you're a bullying type you will always open up your defense if he tries to bully Pitbull Cruz he'll get knocked out just like the way Gervonta knocks him out.
The only way to fight a fighter like Pitbull is to frustrate him and use a strategy like what Gervonta did hit and run and take cover, it's going to be an interesting and action pack fight between the two,  and Romero should think of better idea on how to tame the Pitbull his bullying tactics will not work this time

I think everyone want's to bully their opponent even before the fight, maybe to sell it or just used the mental game here. The thing with Pitbull is that he doesn't speak English, so Rolly or even Davis that time can bully or trash talk as much as they want but it might not be effective though.

But I do agree that this is going to be an action pack fight. Both have solid hands, and we will see who's going to land it fight and how will they react to each other's power. Pitbull though is still the favorite going into this fight although he is not a champion.

Not all boxers are like that, Pacquiao has no history of bullying his opponent, and not all boxers can be bullied sometimes the one you're bullying will be motivated to destroy you just like in the case of Lennox Lewis and Manny Pacquiao.

HAtton when he Bullied Pacquiao he was knocked out cold in their match, after that knockout, Hatton was never the same fighter that he used to be, the same thing happened to Tyson against Lewis, Tyson showed the worse bullying a person can give to another person, but on the night of the fight, Tyson suffered the worse defeat of his career, and after that, he was never the same boxer again.

One of the characteristics of bullies in boxing they have total confidence that they can beat the guy and once they are badly defeated their confidence in the ring is greatly diminished, and their performance is never the same again.
On YouTube, you can find a lot of videos about boxers whose bullying has gone wrong, there are a lot of risks in a boxer bullying another boxer the bullied fighter is motivated to destroy their opponent and the bullies are pressured to beat the one he bullied and once it backfired he is done.

In Rolly Romero's body language, he is afraid of Isaac Cruz because the guy can hurt him and is merciless in the ring he tries to be funny by comparing Isaac to a chiuwawa but it will not work even if Isaac Cruz cannot speak English he always have an interpreter, this could become another a bullying gone wrong if Isaac destroy Romero, he already has one against Gervonta when he said that Tank is going to get knockdown in round one
But look at what happened check this video I hope Rolly already watched this video so he can shut his mouth against an opponent like Gervonta
