No,no you just get the letter pieces and you arrange them yourself. They are not pre-arranged.

I don't understand how these types of things are safe when the person who makes them has access to your private keys.

Maybe we should just ask Rob, and see what he says?

@ traderman:
Then this one should be closed Smiley Scattering information should be avoided.
And please double check the Announcement on actuality of information (like poloniex listed GRCX as GRCX now, paper wallet generator not working for GRC yet etc.) and actuality of links.
When you post it, Ill also review it!

Quez

Nice post, maybe we should just start a new thread for POR-GRC? Should I start one?
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Gridcoin (GRC) - first coin utilizing BOINC - Official Thread on: March 09, 2015, 07:00:26 PM
No they won't! You have to do it from your own wallet.

Poloniex will do the conversion for those that have GRC there, right?
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Gridcoin (GRC) - first coin utilizing BOINC - Official Thread on: March 09, 2015, 02:46:05 PM
Grcx has to be switched to the new GRC by the end of April, otherwise you will loose them.

1) is there a save paper wallet for GRC ?
2) If there will be updates in the client- will the GRC on my paperwallet always be valid?
3) If I had some GRCX in a paperwallet the would still be valid? ... I suppose not.

Thx

558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Gridcoin (GRC) - first coin utilizing BOINC - Official Thread on: March 03, 2015, 11:31:25 PM
You need to have coins already in your wallet to stake. how many coins do you have?

need a little help setting up my Gridcoin Research mining.

I would like to use my running Boinc to get Gridcoin (not mine Gridcoin by GPU directly).

BOINC is up and running Leiden Classical, all working fine 3 days now
Now I installed the Gridcoin Research Wallet, entered my Boinc email address on first startup and edited the gridcoinresearch.conf file to make it find my Boinc installation.
Huh?

cpumining=true
email=myemailadres@live.nl
addnode=node.gridcoin.us
addnode=gridcoin.asia
UpdatingLeaderboard=false

do i need more in a conf. file?

to get credit to wallet ?
