561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effects of introverts against successful investments on: September 14, 2023, 01:30:35 PM
Oh yeah. behold I got my wishes granted even beyond my expectations as she has gifted me  a pair of K2 boots, a Gucci foot wears (Pam's) and a HP laptop/capacity 4GB/250HDD.

No offense, I don't want to say you are lying, but I kinda get why people in here don't believe your story, because they cant actually verify any of that. For me what's really bugging me is that, you are investing in Bitcoin, so you should be doing a lot with your laptop, but there you said that you are buying a Designer Flip-Flop, a Gucci, while using an 4GB Ram Laptop, I am not sure if that laptop would be able to be used for work nowadays, 4GB ram will run out only to watch a single youtube video, with windows 10/11 on it. I mean that's really weird how could you invest in bitcoin while using that outdated laptop, do you use your phone all the time, maybe you have like a flagship phone, or a tablet?
562  Economy / Economics / Re: Human Capital, An Intangible Asset for a Company's success. on: September 14, 2023, 11:06:35 AM
I always admire companies and businesses, big and small, that heavily invest in human capital. A happy, healthy, and satisfied worker will always be a lot more productive than a worker who is underpaid, overworked, and is only keeping the job merely for the reason that he/she needs to eat three times a day. That's regardless of working hours.

In reality, big companies are doing it until they need the employees and once there is a way to cut short their expenses on salary, no big company hesitates or is willing to lose their profit instead of firing people so there is always some dark story behind every company we may or may not know.

But as you said if they keep the employees happy the results will be more efficient but I am afraid of what the future holds for us, especially with the development of AI, people are gonna lose their jobs and they have to prepare themselves for it with an alternative revenue stream.

Very true, anyone who has worked for a company knows that in most company they don't really care about heir employee, all they care is profit. Everything that company do for their employee is so their employee can generate much more profit for the company. All those companies will not hesitate to just dump any employee if they aren't considered as profitable anymore. After all, the 'Human Capital' or 'Human Resources' is the easiest resources to be exploited.
563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Common Bitcoin ideas on: September 14, 2023, 11:00:40 AM
This brought me into thinking how do we make people understand Bitcoin properly in order to prevent them from being scammed and end up disliking the crypto space. Is introducing them into Bitcoin talk enough ? If no what else more can we do easily to make them actually get the idea of Bitcoin.

To answer your question, in my opinion, first and foremost, find the right person/people, if you just pick random people who doesn't actually need bitcoin, you will be forced to sell them Bitcoin as highly profitable investment because that's the easiest way to make anyone interested, and that will give them the wrong idea and motivation to get into Bitcoin.

If you actually want to introduce people to Bitcoin, find someone who actually needs Bitcoin as currency, maybe someone who do international transaction, they will be interested if you tell them there is a new kind of currency that is not controlled by any entity, the transaction is seamless and the fee is quite low.
564  Economy / Economics / Re: If the global economy collapses what's the first thing you do? on: September 14, 2023, 10:51:55 AM
If global economy collapses actually happening I don't think Bitcoin alone can help, sure the ideal situation should be the Bitcoin price surging, but there are other possibility especially if the bad economy continue for a little bit longer and people decide to cash-out their Bitcoin to fulfill their needs. All that being said, at least until now and where I live, I don't see any major sign that the global economy collapses is happening anytime soon.
565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: percentage of your income you dollar cost average in bitcoin on: September 13, 2023, 02:30:15 PM
what portion of your overall income do you keep aside for the purpose of dollar cost averaging in bitcoin, and what methodologies or criteria do you employ to establish this allocation, thereby guaranteeing a well rounded strategy that aligns beautifully with your individual financial objectives and your level of comfort in dealing with financial risk?

For me and for now I only allocate 10% --I fix the value in USD but thats around 10%-- of my monthly income to buy bitcoin, not much, but I can be consistent and I think that's more important, consistency is the key for DCA. But I have a plan to increase it to at least 15% next year. By the way, being consistent in doing DCA is quite challenging for me because I am a freelance designer, right now I got a contract so I still got a semi-stable income, so I can still consistent, it will be much harder if I got no contract and my income is based on the project I got monthly.
566  Economy / Economics / Re: for anyone interested in how much their personal data is worth on: September 13, 2023, 01:42:48 PM

I don't why you say do not worth much but actually those data is what companies and scammers needed since they can use that on any studies or for scammers to crimes they want to do. That's the reason why we need to be more careful handling our personal data so that we cannot leak it anywhere. To bad for us if we give it unconsciously to criminals since expect to get a lot of problems or spam messages coming from them since they might attempt to compromise us especially if they see that we are a big catch for them.

Wait, I think it's not that kind of data, it's not our personal data, not like phone number, home address, email address, .etc. I think it's the data that website and social media can get and sell it legally, like our preference of food, or entertainment, so it might be used for targeted ads, not like for hacking or such, or am I wrong?

I always thought that because I am very not important person, no one want to stole or collect my data, but I never that my data would be so worthless. I mean it should at least be $1, company can make at least ten times the money if they send me the right ads. lol.
567  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Importance of inviting Newbies to Bitcointalk on: September 12, 2023, 02:22:03 PM
Well if the person is already know and interested in crypto or Bitcoin but they never heard about this forum, then I do agree that inviting them could be beneficial for both the forum and themselves. But if you inviting random people, like you shill the forum to just anybody, even to people who don't really interested in crypto, and then you tell them about the 'benefit' they can get in this forum, then you will give them the wrong motivation, those kind of people either will only stay for a week or two, or even worse if they stay longer, they will tend to just spamming this forum.
568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of advice is worth giving such people? on: September 12, 2023, 02:15:23 PM
I would say that just let them give up, got hacked multiple times in a row, especially if the hacking method done to them is just the same, meaning that they never learn. For anyone who want to invest in Bitcoin or crypto are required to learn since it's a fairly new thing. I mean, the first hack should make them realize that they did something wrong and then fix that, for example if they save their fund in a custodial wallet then it got hacked, then they should move to a non-custodial wallet, or even better a cold wallet. But if they didn't and they got hacked then the best advice is just to give up, forget about Bitcoin, and find other types investment.
569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do we benefit in lies in forum on: September 12, 2023, 02:05:29 PM
I saw most of replies said that most of users lie so they could get some merit, it's not wrong, but there are other reasons too I think. Some user just need to fulfill their weekly activity quota, or signature post requirement, they lie so they can have some context while writing some reply, without lying they might don't have any topic/opinion so they can't reply to the thread. Also some people are just pathological liar, it's just their habit, they just lie without any agenda.
570  Economy / Economics / Re: Teaching My Nephews About Wealth Through the Game of Monopoly on: September 12, 2023, 02:00:12 PM
There are recipes here that are ready for failure, including:

 - You spend all your money and don't save.
 - Do not think about investing, but rather about buying luxuries.
 -  Unbalanced mentally or physically.
And if we check ideally we will discover that the rules of success are so numerous and saturated with almost each financially successful persons drafting out his/her own narrative to success and this stems confusion if anyone decides to study them to become successful.

But for the rules to avoid failure the rules are few, simple and short. And it's easier to be successful by following the simple rules to avoid failure, than  follow the saturated lists of rules on how become successful..

I do agree that avoiding failure is much easier than following required step to be successful, but if we only avoiding failure the best we can have is a mediocre life. It's like we are playing not to lose instead of playing to win. The step to be successful is harder because it's required more effort, and demand more strugle, not everyone can do that.
571  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful messing around with default settings. on: September 10, 2023, 12:55:29 PM
If that happened to me, I would also be confused how to fix that, I don't know if such feature is actually exist. I also have similar experience when I missed-click and I ended up changing my setting for Quick Reply, I accidentally remove the quick reply box from the bottom of my screen, I sort of panicked, and I need about 1 hour to fix the setting. I barely touch the setting other than Profile Information to change signature and avatar ever since.
572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lump vs DCA with real data on: September 10, 2023, 12:47:40 PM
Both strategy can never be compared as apple to apple, it's very different strategy with different purpose, that applicable for different people. Sure, you might get far more profit with Lump, but you need a do a deep flawless research and you need to enter the market at the very right moment, an off timing would have huge impact, especially with a very volatile market like Bitcoin.
573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can everyone in the world have bitcoin. on: September 10, 2023, 12:38:41 PM
If the question is whether or not Bitcoin is enough for every person in this planet, then the answer is of course yes, a simple supply and demand rules if everyone wants bitcoin the value will increase so even owning a few Satoshi is enough for monthly expenses, so it will always be enough. But if the question is whether everyone can have a bitcoin, for now probably not, there are some countries that Bans bitcoin, the people definitely shouldn't own Bitcoin, some area don't have any supporting market/exchange for Bitcoin so owning bitcoin is pointless, some area doesn't even have a reliable internet connection so may doesn't even have any idea what is Bitcoin.
574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your actual dca strategy? on: September 10, 2023, 12:32:11 PM

There is DCAing when the market is going Up and DCAing when the market is going down, well I have been investing since last year now and my DCA on Bitcoin only happens when there is a bigger dip and so far it's my best plan yet.

I don't think that's how DCA work, or you may use the term DCA incorrectly. Dollar Cost Averaging, means that investor should invest the same amount of money consistently, regardless of the market condition. This work with high volatility assets Bitcoin included, this strategy usually used by retail investor, they usually spare some amount of their monthly income to buy Bitcoin. If you are not invest in Bitcoin on the same amount every month, or buy different amount of bitcoin based on market condition, then that's not a DCA.
575  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What did you do After Reaching your Bitcoin Goal? on: September 10, 2023, 12:23:34 PM
I don't get what you mean by goal, is it the amount of your fund or is it the profit you made from your investment. I don't know if we have the same understanding about DCA, but as far as I know when you do DCA, you are supposed to invest the same amount of money into an asset regularly, regardless the market condition, I don't think there is any goal to be set in DCA.
576  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin and get rich quick syndrome on: September 09, 2023, 02:22:01 PM
Bitcoin can get you to be rich quickly if you are extremely very lucky. Only luck could do that nothing is certain, anyone who want to certainly get rich over night need to do either something criminal or violate some ethics while doing their business. But I kinda get how people think that Bitcoin is an easy and quick way to get rich, the volatility of the Bitcoin price, is insane especially with the bull market on 2017 and 2020 was crazy. Some people with very few understanding about crypto market and blockchain will claim and spread that bitcoin is an easy and quick way to get rich, and some naive and dumb will believe that, without doing any research and buy bitcoin hoping to turn their thousands into millions overnight.
577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Faruk Ozer, turkey crypto whizz sentenced to 11,196 years in jail? Wow! on: September 09, 2023, 02:09:50 PM
this man is the worst, the Turkish citizen are desperate because their money is over-inflated and they try to survive this disaster moving to crypto. This man exploited those desperation and took advantage of it. I know some of us might judge the victim on how they can be so blind and can't see the fraud that those perpetrator has done, but trust me when people are desperate, they can trust even unbelievable opportunity.
578  Economy / Economics / Re: Building wealth it's not just one time Luck on: September 09, 2023, 02:02:52 PM
Building wealth is always a long run, doesn't matter what industry you are in, not only crypto, in any business. The only way to be wealthy in a quicktime is by over-exploiting, and violating ethics. Many people could became rich, but only small amount of those rich people could become wealthy, a one-time luck could get you 50 Million, but keep those money and use it to build wealth is something that required a lot more than luck.
579  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My decision on bitcoin on: September 09, 2023, 01:57:14 PM
This is the advice that I would always gives to people who are asking when to buy Bitcoin, do your own research. Bitcoin is definitely good investment, but the market is not always in a good condition. By doing your own research you will be more confident in your investment, you won't easily give up and cash out your Bitcoin when the market turn red. If you buy bitcoin solely because of other people advice, when you loss some value on your portfolio, you tend to blame it to other people, you doubt your own investment, you validate your loss by selling your Bitcoin, while actually you have no problem if you are holding your Bitcoin a little bit longer until the market get better.
580  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Unfortunately, this problem is increasing yearly on: September 09, 2023, 01:51:48 PM
So, I suppose that those 75 ETH and 0.7 BTC are stored in an exchange wallet because SMS 2FA is involved. Storing that much of fund in exchange is already very risky, the hack wouldn't happened in the first place if those fund were stored in a hardware/cold wallet. Exchange are only supposed to be used for exchanging cryptos, not storing a huge amount of crypto in a long time.
