Hi Patrike,

here is a screenshot:

You see the balance is completly wrong calculated, but not all the the time, sometimes it is correct. No new bug, this is happens since pool balance update.

Thanks Patrike for the new update, the graph is a new update i have been waiting for, i love it. helpful to find some failures and so on. Do you plan to improve this feature in the future? I have some ideas  Cheesy
And maybe a graph for diff, price and hashrate from coins in the coinstab.

I also have problem with temp reading of my Antminer T17 with custom firmware, but temps show in same way as the original firmware.
Thanks for the screenshot. I will try to reproduce this.

Thanks for the feedback on the graph as well. Next I think there will be revenue and profit as well. Thanks for the suggestion about coin graphs as well.

Can you please send me the API Report for this Antminer (via PM or mail)? Please also let me know the name of the firmware. Even if the API is compatible with Antminer T17, it might be that this miner identifies it differently, and then Awesome Miner doesn't process it like an Antminer T17 with Bitmain firmware.

Hi Patrike,

i have many problems with new mining software, the download needs to much time. If i download normal in browser it needs 1 sec, if i start to download it over AM, it needs up to 1 hour sometimes to start it again. Mostly at srbminer multi, T-Rex or Teamredminer for me. But this happens sometimes, not every time i tried. So i canīt reproduce this  Huh
Hi,
Can you please check the Remote Agent log file and verify that it's the actual download operation that takes time, or something else?
When a download is initiated you will see "Downloading file". Example:
2020-12-11 10:39:31.691 [008] []Downloading file: https://github.com/trexminer/T-Rex/releases/download/0.19.3/t-rex-0.19.3-win-cuda11.1.zip?u=67792375

As you can see, Remote Agent adds a random parameter (?u=67792375) to the URL, to prevent any caching. If you make a download speed test via the web browser to compare the speed, please add something similar to avoid caching.

When a download has completed, you will see "Download done". Example:
2020-12-11 10:39:42.238 [008] []Download done: C:\Users\test\AppData\Roaming\AwesomeMinerService\t-rex-0.19.3-win-cuda11.1.zip

In this example it was a 10.5 second download for 22MB. Do you see very a very long duration between these two log lines?

What I can see from time to time is when a new mining software version is released, it typically results in slower download speeds when many users are hitting the Github download sources.

Hi Patrike,

if i checked many scenarios and i add random parameter to my download in browser. Sometimes it download normal and sometimes it slowdown to 1kb/s. But i think this is problem with github or other hosters. So i think all ok at the moment.

Can you take a look in Nanominer and verushash? Can you add it to the standard definition. I added it manually, but i canīt see cpu temp, hashrate is only show in performance colume, nothing in cpu or gpu tab. And W/h is not shown for CPU and Nanominer.

Another bug:

Poolbalance Nanopool XMR -> Balance 0,66 xmr -> Balance in Euro 116000€ for example

I think there is a problem in calculating the right Balance in €/$. But sometimes, it show the real Balance in €/$.
Thanks for all feedback.

I've added Nanominer VerusHash and also made sure it's correctly reported for CPU mining. The API doesn't report per-core hashrate, so it will show up as a single CPU device. You will be able to see the temperature. This will be in included in the next release, planned for tomorrow.

I wasn't able to reproduce the balance issue. Is it the top level "Nanopool" line where it's incorrect or is it also incorrect if you expand the sub nodes and look at each wallet address?
564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: December 16, 2020, 02:39:10 PM
Patrike for coin Grin_CR29 (coockarooZ29) the coin statistic data will not be show. Not in default mode and not if i overide coin properties from WTM Api  https://whattomine.com/coins/293.json
Thanks for the report. I've pushed an update for the calculation and it should automatically be picked up by your Awesome Miner during the day.

If new virtual grouup will be created for selected miners, the total Hashrate, power consumtion, reward, etc. The total value on top line will be show not for miners in virtual group, but for all miners. Like in TOTAl group.
When you view the virtual group on the Groups tab, it will display the hashrate and details for only the miners in the group. If you open the virtual group in the miner list, it will only apply a filter to view the miners part of the group. The total numbers being displayed in the miners list is however still for the total number of miners.

Can I display the total miner uptime of a week or month?
I use my Gaming computer for mining and want to log how long my miner is running. as I use it for other stuff too, itīs not 24/7.... are there any statistics included that I can read?
Yes. Please right click on the miner and select Mining History.
566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: December 16, 2020, 01:48:40 PM
In Main TAB/ Miners I can see all tempetures (one by one) on columm STATUS. On Colum PERFORMANCE I only can see the total os hashrate. To see each one hash (by GPU) I have to go to GPU TAB after select the miner.

Is there a way to see one by one ? (so i did not have to select the miner to see what GPU is low hash)

Please, is it possible? it will help a lot..
This feature is currently not available. I can add this to the "Information column" (configurable in the toolbar Appearance -> Information column) in the next release. You will then be able to add "Device hashrate" (not available today).

Hello Patrike. It has been quite some time since I've had need to post any questions, or problems. Your software works so well there is hardly ever an issue and I thank you for that! I am however having an issue with the latest update. When I click on update and restart Awesome miner the program shuts down with the miner windows still open (GPU and CPU), but Awesome miner never restarts by itself. If I wait like 10 minutes and then restart Awesome miner manually when it comes back up the update is not applied. As a side note I also have to reenter my registration code. This part has happened to me from time to time for several updates (being forced to reenter registration code), but it wasn't a big enough deal to bother you with, however I mention it here in case it is related to the failing update. Thanks so much for your help in sorting this out.

Hi,
Can you please check that your user folder isn't made read-only by some security software you are running? If that's the case, it could explain some of these issues you run into.
Please make sure these two folders have write-permissions (they should have that by default):
%appdata%\AwesomeMiner\
%localappdata%\AwesomeMiner\

If you still run into this problem, can you please send me your Awesome Miner log file. Please send via:
https://www.awesomeminer.com/contact
Thanks!

Unexpected exit of mining software. Possible cause: Incorrect configuration or crashing software
Diagnostics completed

AM started wrong miner, must start G-Miner and mine Cortex, but always tryed to start T-Rex. What happens with remote agent after updating? How to repair? I am not fisicaly near miner.

I am not understand, why AM constantly try to start wrong configuration. I have changed miner soft in profit profile, looks like ufter update somethig go wrong with configuration.

Patrike please help. Big problem!

Upd: T-Rex 0.19.3 defenitly not work with AM 8.1.12   i am on Linux Driver 450.80.02 and 455.45.01 (But driver version not important for this problem)
I can start miners as Managed Miner, but if i try use T-Rex i get this restarting loop and crash. Now i must change Profit Profile for all miners and algo where T-Rex is used. Or wait on next update

Upd: Update has corrupted a Profit Profile data for some miners, only copy of Profit Profile from normal working miner have solve problem of corrupted data. But if i invistigate a corrupted Profit Profile, the data wich set for algos looks absolutly normal. this corruption have impact on Profit switching of course

upd: Found another thing. If miner configured as Managed Miner and you try mine Eth on Niceahsh with PhoenixMiner 5.3b, you get disconnected.

upd: i have try to start miner directly from terminal window with following comand string:
/root/.config/AwesomeMinerService/t-rex-0.19.3-linux-cuda10.0.tar_1/t-rex  --no-watchdog --pci-indexing -a octopus -o stratum+tcp://cfx-eu.ss.poolflare.com:3366 -p x -u 0x1975ae1c8a11F232CC49c4DBdeC8e4E1Ee197d3E.2080TIRS-02 --api-bind-http 0.0.0.0:4028
and all works super. Looks like after update something go wrong for T-Rex miner on the AM side. Other mining programs work without problems. I have cleared mining software over AM, but that not help. I have try to use ConfigData.xml file from backup before update, that not help too. I have no idea how to solve this problem. Will try to reinstall AM.

Upd: reinstalling of AM not help. I have put in rig other USB with AwesomeMinerAgent 8.10.0 and started AM, same problem. Looks like problem on the AM v. 8.1.12 main programm side.

Patrike, where user can find a archive for old versions of AM. In this situation like i have now, maybe this is only sollution to downgrade the AM version.

Next problem found: Unable automatic download of MiniZ miner if rig OS is Linux.

Upd: T-Rex 0.19.1 works on AM 8.1.12 without problem.
Upd: Update T-Rex miner to 0.19.4 not solve this Base64 problem. But looks like the problem on the T-Rex miner side.

Upd: Have tested starting T-Rex 0.19.4 from terminal window with command string:
/root/.config/AwesomeMinerService/t-rex-0.19.4-linux-cuda11.1.tar_1/t-rex  --no-watchdog --pci-indexing -a octopus -o stratum+tcp://cfx-eu.ss.poolflare.com:3366 -p x -u 0x1975ae1c8a11F232CC49c4DBdeC8e4E1Ee197d3E.2080TIRS-02 --api-bind-http 0.0.0.0:4028
and T-Rex started without problem. Where is a problem now? T-Rex or AwesomeMiner side? Using T-Rex and AM different base64 libs? Was base64 lib upgraded recently? Is base64 lib functionality compatible on different OS now?
Hi,

A few comments:

1) Please use T-Rex 0.19.1 for Linux at the moment. I need to make a change in Remote Agent for the latest T-Rex version to work correctly. Awesome Miner launches some mining software on Linux in a way where their console output isn't buffered, to be able to grab the console output. There is some change in T-Rex 0.19.3 that is breaks this concept and I will have to modify Remote Agent for it.

2) Awesome Miner will automatically ensure "PROTO: 4" for Phoenix Miner with Nicehash Ethereum and this works fine when I'm testing. If you use the diagnostics, can you verify this parameter?

3) For the general issues with the profit switcher can you please send me the Awesome Miner and Remote Agent log file and let me know the time where the profit switching decision wasn't executed correctly?

Thanks!

Update: 4) The Miniz web site now introduced CloudFlare. I will provide an alternative download location from Miniz in a mining software definition that soon will be made available.

Anyone having issues with Awesome Miner not showing up after this new Nvidia update?

As soon as I updated Nvidia, I went to restart Awesome Miner and it pops up in my taskbar at the bottom of the screen but no app ever shows up. Did a few reboots, uninstalled and reinstalled but the problem persists.

Thought maybe its my system but I went ahead and tried to manually run T-REX but that is also having issues with this driver from the forum thread and error reports I just seen. Seems I can only get NBMiner running manually for ETH mining but no Awesome Miner at all or many other standalone miners.
I've tried out the latest nVidia 460 drivers and at least Awesome Miner starts and shows nVidia GPU's.
1) Which nVidia GPU do you have? I've only tried with a 2000-series GPU so far.
2) Can you please send me the Awesome Miner log file?
%localappdata%\AwesomeMiner\AwesomeMiner.log
You can send me via:
https://www.awesomeminer.com/contact

At the moment I am just running 1x 2080ti and 2x 1080ti's. I am having all kinds of issues with other software since this update, basically some apps....Awesome Miner included will load but not draw on the screen. So basically you can see it in the taskbar load, see it also over in the quick launch bar on the right but you click on them and nothing pops up. I am running on the latest Windows 10 20H2 version, could also be the issue, I figured try it out but maybe as usual this is another bugged out windows deployment.

Let me grab the log and I will send it to you guys, appreciate the help. Looking at it...seeing a bunch of failures but I am not up on what could be the cause. Have even my antivirus off in case but its always had an exclusion to all folders AM needs so don't think that could be the issue.

Thanks for the log file - I will get back to you on the support request you sent.

I did notice that Awesome Miner is unable to read the nVidia fan speed on the latest 460.79 drivers. I've made an update for this and a new release will be made available later today.

Hi Patrike,

New Miniz miner version out 1.6x
I've pushed an update for this one yesterday. I also noticed their web site was unavailable from time to time yesterday, probably because the high traffic following the new release.

Yes i see.
I add -avg1 180 to have the real hash showing in Awesomeminer. This option change the 3h average in 3min average.
Another question is, why AM only show whole numbers for hashrate and the MiniZ api gives for example 17.45 and AM show 17.00. Can you change this?
I've made an update to make sure Awesome Miner display the hashrate more exact, like "17.45" instead of 17 as you pointed out. This change will be part of the next release.

The API is currently not providing both the current and the average hashrate. If both of them were available, it would be possible for Awesome Miner to display.

Using awesome miner firmware, I have a target temperature set of 77 C.  My fan runs very quiet, temps creep up to 77, then fans kick on full blast for 3 seconds. Temps go back to 72, and quiet again. Repeat every couple minutes. It's very annoying because I usually have my L3+ running in my house.  Can you fix the logic to work like Blissz silent profile (fan will slowly increase speed until stable at target temperature). And then don't decrease speed until there's a delta of 2-3 degrees AND 1 hr has elapsed since last increase (to avoid constant changes in fan speed). The key is reducing changes in fan speed as this increases perceptible noise (your brain drowns out white noise perfectly unless it's constantly changing).

Right now the strategy of jumping to 72-77 deg with fan going from 900 rpm to full blast is very bad for electronics in terms of thermal cycling, and bad for airflow since I have multiple antminers connected to same exhaust area (so if one is randomly going to full blast it will backflow to others that are barely at speed). Need them all nice and stable!

Edit:
Did more testing
It appears that no matter what you set your target temperature to, when it hits 77 C, max fan speeds apply and temporarily override everything for 10 sec.
Set target to 80 C, it will only get to 77 before applying max fans, dropping temp back to 72
Set target to 77 C, it will still get to 77 and apply max fans
Set target to 76, it will be ok at first with gentle fan increases, but then barely jump into 77 ...and jump to full blast
Set target to 75, it will be ok most of the time...gentle fan increases to 75-76, and more rarely bump to 77 and then go full blast still.
Set target to 74, it will sometimes overshoot to 75-76, but small fan increases will stop it from hitting 77, so we're always nice and quiet. Adjustments are still +/-200rpm which is noisy and over shoots the low end.
Set target to 70, it makes very quiet, minor fan adjustments (+/- 20rpm), I like this! Perfect behavior. But I wish I could have my system stay warmer (76 C range) with this small adjustment behavior because I prefer slower 76 C fan load compared to to 70 C fan load.

So I think I found the fix: Undo the 77 C hard coded max fan speed. Since the default target is 65, adding 12 to 65 = 77.  If I change target temperature, change max fan speed override to (target)+12.  So if I set a target of 75, don't start overriding fast fan speeds until it approaches 87.

Hope that makes sense!

Also if fan check is on, the antminer will restart when hitting 77, and the tuning page says "Fan Err! Disable PIC! Fan1 speed is too low 1770 pwm 100". If I disable fan check, the error goes away and no restart happens. Very weird since this shows up when fans go faster.
Can you please let me know the configured temperature for "Chain disable temp" (the overheat feature)? Please also try to increase this value.

The firmware will try to make sure you are at least 10 C below this temperature and can increase the fan speed if needed. By increasing this temperature limit it will be less likely you run into a high fan speed.

I had Chain disable temp blank (so default 85). Changed it to 95, but still having same problem. I set target temp to 77, it gets to 78, fans go on full blast for a few seconds, it's then at 72, fans go super low back to 900rpm, then it creeps back up to 78, fans go on full blast again.

Thanks for the update. We will use your feedback and comments for future improvements. As for today, there are not really any additional parameters to play around with other than those you already used.

Any updates on this fix? The bug is harmful for silent setups because the fan is constantly going to Max at the wrong temperature.

This is what my settings look like:

But fans go to max at 77 C, which over corrects temp back down to 70 C, and temp never gets to 79.

Also, if I set a manual fan speed, the fans still go to max at 77 C.  In that scenario I don't want max to kick in until something like 85C or whatever I set the overheat protection to.
Thanks for the feedback. The problem is identified and understood and the next release of the firmware is planned to address this fan behavior.

Hi Patrike,

New Miniz miner version out 1.6x
I've pushed an update for this one yesterday. I also noticed their web site was unavailable from time to time yesterday, probably because the high traffic following the new release.

I also tested T-Rex (cuda 10.0 and 11.1) and Gminer, both are not working with the new Nvidia driver. The latest stable is 457.51. The windows version doesn't matter, tested with 1909 and 2H20. Its all the same crap.

The other question is, why you update to newest driver? It is not need, newer driver donīt bring better performance. So stay on the driver that is working.
Much people talk about problems with nvidia 460 driver, because there is something changed, some files moved to other folders.

I do some research today.
It looks like there are many reports out there about issues with the latest nVidia drivers (v460). I noticed that Nicehash recommended all their users to stay on the previous driver versions due to all the mining related issues.

I will take a look and see if I can find anything else. It might be that this driver release simply is broken and nVidia will give us something better in the near future.

Patrike,

When using "Run mining process with Administrator privileges", srbminer-multi just shows a blank console. It still mines, but there's no visible output.

Yes this can happen on many different miner in AM, not only srbminer-multi.
I've improved this for SrbMiner multi and Miniz miner.

@Patrike
Can you take a look in MiniZ miner. AM used the 3h Average hashrate for reading and not the realtime hashrate. Maybe you can change it and add the 3h average as average mining speed, like teamreadminer.
I've looked into the MiniZ API response, but it only includes a single hashrate. "speed_sps" (Solutions Per Second) and Awesome Miner will report this as the current hashrate. The MiniZ web interface do report two hashrates like you point out, but for some reason I can only see one in their API.
