The Snowman Hunt catches my interest. So if I understand correctly, clues will only be posted on X/twitter? Is the challenge centered around who finds it first, or are there additional elements that come into play?
562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using AI for betting predictions on: December 01, 2023, 08:13:51 PM
<...>
It is even crazy to think and know that there were people who are really that even believing and they do ask AI on whats the next movement market of Bitcoin
and other altcoins. hahaha. There's no such thing on this world that could really be able to predict on what would gonna happen in the future and this is why
it would be always better that you should really be not relying yourself into these things.

Yeah, good point.  It's pretty ridiculous to think some AI bot can foresee what Bitcoin or other cryptos are gonna do.  I guess maybe as a game to guess the future, but folks trusting it to guide investments probably ain't smart.  Same thing with sports - no computer program can reliably call winners and losers.

It's only better to ask a friend rather than asking ChatGPT. From what I have heard, it doesn't even have the latest database of information (only till 2021), if I'm not WRONG.

Well, it really depends on which AI language model you use.  ChatGPT ain't the only game in town anymore.  Nowadays there's all kinds of options out there - GPT-4, Google's new Bard thats supposed to be better at context, and specialized bots too.  They all got their own strengths and shortcomings.
563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Joy of forgotten Bitcoin accounts... on: November 30, 2023, 09:57:11 PM
To my surprise, the account was still funded with coins that I deposited almost 5 years ago... and it was worth considerably more now... than what it was worth back then. (I think the Bitcoin price was around $7000+ at the time)

Honestly, you lucked out big time in this situation.  I mean realistically, if folks leave their crypto forgot in some online account, they're pretty likely to lose it.  I'd say take em off there quick as you can, from those digital wallets and whatnot, even if we're talking small amounts. Stick 'em in your own personal wallet where you won't lose track.
564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin story on: November 30, 2023, 09:38:26 PM
Stories definitely grab kids' attention, so telling the mysterious tale of Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin's creator, would get them hooked.  So you can capture their curiosity about who this masked mastermind was and how they invented something so groundbreaking.  I bet picturing this cryptic character dreaming up their big brainchild would fire up young imaginations.

Though people here make a good point - there's probably childrens books or comics on Bitcoin's origins already floating around online.  Even if there aren't, making up our own fun kid-friendly tale of how Bitcoin came to be could be a cool creative project.  It might be interesting to try spinning this compelling yarn into a unique tall tale for young readers.
565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using AI for betting predictions on: November 30, 2023, 09:12:50 PM
Should AI be relied on for sport betting predictions?

AI models can struggle making predictions outside the data used to train them.  Historical patterns may not capture new or unexpected events.  While fine for some applications, complex bets with many variables pose a problem.  Each additional game increases variables.  More ingredients in the mix, harder to bake a cake and  can AI get better at this? Maybe someday.  But no guarantees.

Lots of factors feed unpredictability.  Team chemistry, injuries weather.  An ill-timed gust alters the flight of a field goal.  Chaos sneaks into the complex.  So while AI keeps improving, beware overconfidence.

Well now, it seems Duelbits is preparing for a merry Christmas celebration! Just imagining myself opening those big money and cryptocurrency prizes makes me grin.  I'm truly looking forward to what you've got planned!

Is the site loading normally now? Seeing a blank screen.

The site is loading normally for me now. If you are still seeing a blank screen, it could be due to browser cache. You can try clearing your browser cache or trying a different browser to see if that helps.
569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Original USD value of a BTC transaction on: November 28, 2023, 06:08:12 PM
Is there an easy way to view how much the transaction value in USD was at the date/time the BTC transaction happened ?

A bunch of blockchain explorers out there let you see the dollar value of transactions.  Wallets like Electrum can do it too.  For me, I like using bitinfocharts.com to check this stuff out.  It's cool 'cause not only does it list the transaction amount in dollars, but you can also see how much your profit is compared to what that BTC would be worth today.  And I'm a sucker for their little transaction graphs they have and  definitely comes in handy to visualize profits if youre investing.
570  Economy / Gambling / Re: Guide for newcomers Start a fun and profitable gambling entertainment journey o on: November 28, 2023, 05:15:02 PM
My guess is that we are running out of fresh topics to talk about that is connected to gambling and so we try and be creative and even get dumber so we can squeeze out more potential topics to talk about kind of like smashing the rock to find a drop of water. I guess when you are trying to be something here in the forum, you take your chances and do what you must do.

Yeah, it seems we've discussed all the popular gambling topics.  We've wrung this forum dry, leaving us grasping to wrench some last vestiges of interest from an exhausted well.  but I suppose that's the way of things for a gambling site after so many years. and  New ideas feel rarer than a royal flush these days.
571  Economy / Gambling / Re: Monk.gg - Crypto's Homegrown PvP Casino on: November 28, 2023, 03:37:17 PM
I am intrigued to know to your point of view of your casino name, "Monk.gg". This is the first time that I saw a casino incorporating "religious terms" to their actual business name, in your case, "Monk".

I get how the name Monk.gg may seem a little odd for a casino, what with the religious meanings behind monk.  But I actually think it's a pretty cool name and.  It has a certain mystique about it,  it suggests that the casino is a place where you can go to relax, kick back and get away from the grind of daily life. In fact, I believe it works nicely for a casino, considering the focus on mindfulness and discipline that monks are known for.  And besides, the term "monk" doesn't have to be exclusively religious. Monk can also be someone's last name, for example.

Our customer support can be reached in our Discord server by making a support ticket - and we haven't received any tickets since this post was made. If you have any concerns open a ticket there, thanks.

Is this the only way to get in touch with your customer support?  Don't get me wrong - I dig Discord.  It's great for gamers and chatting and stuff.  But for getting help with a problem on your website or account or whatever?  Seems like kind of a hassle. And not everybody even uses Discord or knows how it works.

So yeah maybe keep Discord around for community stuff.  But y'all should really look into adding email and live chat support too.  Just more options, ya know? It'd make life easier for your customers.  And happier customers means more business for you guys.  Think about it.
573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do I find a Balance Here? on: November 27, 2023, 09:11:44 PM
You said you want to hold your bitcoin long-term?  That tells me you don't need that money anytime soon.  If that's still the case, Id say stick to your guns and keep holding.  Maybe look into some other ways you could scrape together funds for those businesses you want to support.  But if you've got no other choice, do what you gotta do without beating yourself up over it.  Although if you just want to help grow the whole Bitcoin economy in general, seems like there oughta be other ways to pitch in that don't interfere with your long-term investment outlook and

We all have different reasons for buying bitcoin - whether it's to get rich quick or because we really believe in its potential or a little of both.  Point is, only you can decide what works best for your situation.  But don't stress it too much either way.  Ten years from now well look back at these prices and laugh.  Or cry.

I know that A-ADS (formerly Anonymous Ads) is one of the oldest Bitcoin advertising networks, and as far as I'm aware, they are still active. I don't have information about the quality of the ads or the earning potential because I don't personally use them, but I think you should check them out.

575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: November 25, 2023, 04:07:09 PM
Well, seems to me the answer here's pretty darn obvious.  The so-called "high rollers" almost always come out on top more thanks to their wallets bein' so much fatter.  I mean when you got all those extra zeros in your bank account, you can toss down some preeetty sizable bets without breakin' much of a sweat and  lets you take more risks too knowin you got that cushy cash pillow to fall back on if luck turns sour.

And frankly, if money's already so tight just makin' ends meet prob'ly aint the brightest idea to be throwin' what little extra you got at games stacked in the houses' favor.  It's about making your money work for you, not the house.
576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: November 25, 2023, 03:54:07 PM
I can certainly relate to the struggle of chasing losses when gambling.  It's a slippery slope that has trapped me in the past as well.  In the heat of the moment, with emotions running high, it's easy to convince yourself that you can win back what you've lost if you just keep playing and  however, that rarely pans out.  More often than not the hole only gets deeper.

Ive learned the hard way that it's critical to set a strict budget and stop as soon as you reach it.  Win or lose.  Walking away at that point takes discipline, but it saves you from financial and emotional turmoil down the road.  Gambling should be fun, not a means to financial gain or a way to claw your way back to even.  Approaching it with that mindfulness helps keep things in perspective.  Enjoy the thrill of the game, but keep your head clear enough to disengage when the time comes.
577  Economy / Lending / Re: Help !! on: November 25, 2023, 03:01:15 PM
Thank you for your answers. I'm really in despair, because I can't withdraw BTC until I pay these contributions.

What are you talking about? Someone is asking you to pay taxes before you can withdraw money (btc) from an account? These kind of pay us first things tend to be scams, designed to siphon money from folks through slick promises.  you're a fool if you've already paid any money to them.

Tax was 0.35 BTC including contributions. I only sent 0.32 and they said it was not enough. I said that I would make up the rest, but they said that I have to pay the full amount.

I wish I could say otherwise, but chances are you'll never see those funds again if you already sent them over.  My advice? Don't send anything else their way and  walk away and take it as a tough lesson. Going forward, be very wary of platforms asking for upfront fees like that.  Legit ones typically dont operate that way.
578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with crypto because taxation makes no sense? on: November 25, 2023, 11:14:37 AM
Yeah, I guess some folks want to gamble using crypto coins and stuff to get around annoying paperwork and having the Man watching their money.  But don't forget Uncle Sam and tax people all over still say that money you make from Bitcoin gambling or whatever is still taxable, like assets, so if you win big you better be ready to pay up.

Tax laws around gambling winnings can definitely be tricky, that's for sure.  Personally, I'm not a huge fan of having all my personal information out there for any organization to see either.  At the same time, we do gotta follow the law whether we like it or not and  my approach is trying to find a happy medium - being above board with reporting winnings when I have to but also using anonymous payment methods when I can to keep at least some privacy.  It's not a perfect solution by any means, but it helps me sleep a little better at night.  This stuff can definitely be frustrating to navigate though.  Perhaps someday well see regulations loosen up a bit to allow more financial privacy.  A guy can dream, right? In the meantime, just gotta play the hand we're dealt as best we can.
579  Economy / Gambling / Re: Introducing BC.Game Support Team: Building Trust and Transparency on: November 25, 2023, 10:56:36 AM
I don't really think there's an issue with BC. game wanting to take a more active role in this community and address some of the problems that have piled up.  It's definitely better than just ignoring all the complaints and allegations thrown their way.  Having someone dedicated to maintaining open lines of communication isnt unreasonable.  Not saying it'll fix everything, but props to them for trying.

At the end of the day communities are built on trust.  If BC. game makes an effort to hear player concerns, they could start rebuilding bridges.  Im willing to give them a chance rather than write them off.  But words have to turn into actions at some point or it's just talk.
580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can old generation cause the habit of gambling in young generation ? on: November 25, 2023, 10:44:31 AM
As someone already mentioned, healthy communication is so important when it comes to getting kids to focus on school instead of games.  What I've found works is to set specific times that they're allowed to play - maybe after homework or only on weekends.  Making those rules clear upfront stops the arguing later. It also helps to talk with them about their goals and dreams and how getting a good education unlocks opportunities.

The key is explaining it in a way they relate to, not just barking orders to study more.  And also realizing some gaming in moderation is normal and ok too.  I think it's all about balance.
