581  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: August 02, 2017, 11:23:53 PM
If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.

I will choose the bitcoin to be stored in the long run, because until now the bitcoin price will always rise on the bitcoin cause it as the basis or benchmark the price of another coin, like the dollar as a benchmark other currencies, if gold is stable and the price is rising A slight drop, so I think less good if to invest
i think yes long term investment is the best option because in long term investment there are more chance to make more money without involving any risk. while in short term investment there is always risk of losing money. in fact in short term investment when the price of bitcoin start dropping we comes in panic and start selling our coins even in lost.
That's wrong, any kind of investment involves risk whether it's long term or short term but it has different approach required.
If you want to make more money and benefit on your skills you need to invest for short term and long term, it will bring good return if you
are good in both.
582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: August 02, 2017, 11:21:32 PM
I don't think there will only be one crypto being used exclusively, it will consist of an ecosystem with multiple cryptos with competing features. BTC I belive is here to stay as it was the first and has that brand name recognition behind it (even though it may have inferior features compared to other cryptos in the market). If cryptos become mainstream the masses will start flocking to Bitcoin as really it is the only one they know about or heard about.
Bitcoin is more popular now because there are altcoins that are existing as well, the ICO alone are generating a big
amount of contribution from the people and most ICOs requires BTC to invest and that makes more demand which will
eventually make bitcoin's price increased.
583  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: August 02, 2017, 11:05:33 PM
In my opinion,If bitcoin posses a stable price i will hold it and consider my bitcoin as my long form of investment or my savings. I will hold it until i need it on my future needs. I will surely look for a better opportunities that will give me a better profit.

But bitcoin is the best opportunity that we have met and known, why would you look for better opportunities? There might be good opportunities that can be good for you. And with the price of bitcoin, I can't say if it will be popular if it had a stable price. But because of it's anonymity, transactions and with the blocckhain technology, it will still be popular.
Correct there is nothing better than bitcoin, you can earn more money with altcoins but you can lose more money as well so I think bitcoin is the better overall investment since it does not have those risks and you know it is going to be around for a long time and the same cannot be said about altcoins.
Bitcoin and altcoins offers the same opportunity to us but everything requires timing.
Although bitcoin is now the most popular but if you look into consideration some alts as well you can see there are
altcoins that grows more than bitcoin has achieve today.
584  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: July 28, 2017, 12:31:36 PM
Yes, I like trough
Because bitcoin  has popularity in all the countries  of the world.
Of course bitcoin is now the global currency of the world. With it's characteristics that it can convert any currency in the world and it can use anywhere we want. Bitcoin is different any currency that why many of us are already use and continue to embraced what is good about bitcoin. We need a money that can use anywhere we want to use, buying goods and paying for services bitcoin is the answer to this and there are places that already accepted bitcoin as payment.
As bitcoin is getting more popular more businesses are now also using bitcoin.
I would say it's becoming a global currency now as anyone who knows how to use it has the chance to use and enjoy
the benefits of using it. This is quite a unique currency because most people also viewed this as an investment.
585  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: July 28, 2017, 12:16:57 PM
This thread was created in the wrong section. This should be in the Economics sections. Anyhow, to answer you question: A stable price would most likely end up attracting even more people to Bitcoin. One of the major 'cons' that it currently has (for people who consider joining) is that it is very volatile and that you might end up having much less money (e.g. in USD) the day after you've bought some Bitcoin.

Your in the Economics Section, I dont think so, if the stable price was lower that we usually I think it may not satisfied people for a long period of time then eventually end up to create another cryptocurrency.
Price of bitcoin is not stable but it satisfied people who uses it especially the investors, I don't think those who has a big
volume of bitcoin will ever want to see a stable price. If that happen, they will not gonna benefit in the pump and dump game anymore.
587  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Falling...Is it Panic Time? on: July 27, 2017, 07:08:51 AM
According to my friend preev.com, as of press time, the value of Bitcoin is standing at $2,351. Though I would say that this still considered as a feat, some are worried because it almost reached $2,800 again after the correction that happened days ago.

I have read that the decline can partly be contributed to newcomers especially neophyte traders who still have to be well-versed on the market...and can easily be ignited to do panic selling once they can fell that anything can be wrong.

Against this backdrop...are you holding on to your Bitcoin or transferring it into another digital currency?
It is true that bitcoin dropped to 2,351$ but now it is already resume and pumped the value a couple of days passed.
Actually, we don't need to be panic even the price goes down because it will surely 100% go back to its original price.
I am not surprised with that anymore, I have been trading for almost 3 years and I have seen it regularly.
At first I did panic but eventually I fully understand that it's just like a game and if you are weak you will lose in the game.
Check the price now, some might regret because they are weak.
588  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [helping thread]Tanong mo sagot ko on: July 27, 2017, 06:53:50 AM
No idea sir, but to make sure hindi mawawala ang pera mo juts refrain from transacting those date.
kang makikitang ways to be safe.
589  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: ANO MAS OK "INVEST SA BTC OR MAG SAVE SA BANK" on: July 27, 2017, 06:47:33 AM
tayo patas at walang restriction dito.
590  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Kaya Pa Bang Kumita Ng Maganda Sa Pinas? on: July 21, 2017, 02:01:10 AM
Yes for me, because opportunities here are everywhere we just need to work hard, i believe naman na walang yumayaman ng hinde pinaghihirapan, so for me if you want to become successful in life work for it and be committed.
Dapat ganyan tayo mag isip, think of the opportunities hindi lang dapat trabaho ang nasa isip natin dahil magiging dependent
na tayo diyan in the future.
591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy more bitcoin or wait for August 1st? on: July 21, 2017, 01:52:50 AM
Why wait for August 1?
You see this week BTC is like crazy
Every fall is a chance
Grin Grin I see it only 1 night bitcoin ride very high if you already bought bitcoin yesterday you can sell it now. I hope there is no significant change in 1 august because we don't know what happens later and anything can happen. but just in case I prefer to see the market first though I'm passing the current moment with a high bitcoin price.
Haven't you feel the uptrend yet? I think that August 1 FUD is already over and bitcoin is going to $3,000 soon.
The split will not happen and segwit will be successful.
592  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: July 21, 2017, 01:33:49 AM
I think it is a great idea to start teaching kids about cryptocurrencies in general and bitcoin. However, it greatly depends on the age of the child. I would suggest first teaching kids on how to properly save money as well as spend it. This would have to be the main focus as these are the basics of how to properly use any type of money.  I do not think that primary school kids should be taught in cryptocurrencies, but high school kids - definately. Cryptocurrencies will turn to become the main transaction method one day, so why not get a head start?

It's complicated for children to know crypto currencies, they have to know the basic or what really the world is adopting now
so they can compare and be responsible when using bitcoin. They will eventually learn once they are matured enough because if
they understand they might make bitcoin as their passion.
593  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: July 20, 2017, 09:41:55 AM
In my opinion, work while playing BTC is better. You can have 2 incomes My experience is indeed greater income from BTC than income from regular work I did not choose one because both of them benefit me
Having a job is good but if you are just earning a little amount then I guess you need to sacrifice your job
and focus your time with bitcoin. There are a lot of opportunities you can make by focusing on bitcoin if you will just continue to seek for
progress, in the end you will realize you must have quit earlier.
594  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: ANO MAS OK "INVEST SA BTC OR MAG SAVE SA BANK" on: July 12, 2017, 02:06:47 AM

595  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Philippines (Off-topic) on: July 12, 2017, 01:35:14 AM

596  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin worth? Welcome to discuss on: July 11, 2017, 05:32:16 AM
Someone has said bitcoin is of no value, in my heart I think they said is wrong, I always think that bitcoin is valuable, but I didn't understand what is the origin of the value of bitcoin, why accept more people, its value will rise? If you have other ideas, please discuss.
This is very simple question and I think no need to elaborate it. Just to think only that if bitcoin will increase and has potential in the future it will really become a high value in the near future. So, if this things has no value at all, I agreed you are right! this was only no value to those people who believe in bitcoin.
We may have different purpose in using bitcoin but we all know it's worth.
For me it has already became a passion because I quit my day job just to focus on my journey with bitcoin.
Here, there is not limit of opportunities and we will see the outcome of our real effort so it's really good for me I chosen that decision.
597  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin now the strongest currency in the world? on: July 11, 2017, 05:24:10 AM
I think it is not the most powerful currency in the world right now. But in the future it may become the strongest currency. Bitcoin can beat the US dollar and other currencies, even dominating the stock market
What is your basis, fiat is the most powerful because it's back by the government while bitcoin is not fully back by the government.
Also, they have different definition as currency, fiat is the legal one.
598  Economy / Economics / Re: Holdings of gold vs Holdings of btc on: July 11, 2017, 03:37:05 AM
Does anyone have any idea how many people are using gold as a store of value vs btc?  And how long do you think until we have the same user Base as holders of gold?
Both of them had their own edges, they're not the same especially in terms of volatility. The volatile of bitcoin compare to into Gold are much more aggressive, therefore holding bitcoin is much more good and better to choose.
Gold is safer and guaranteed profitable but for aggressive investors bitcoin will fit for them, I invest in bitcoin
the moment I understand it's purpose and it's potential in the future and now I can say I will still hold this even if I have a chance to invest with gold.
599  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: July 11, 2017, 03:24:28 AM
This is my simple investment scheme on cryptos . I don't hold btc for a long time so those with potential growth with still low price altcoins mostly where I put my assets. It is more flexible but also volatile as it is today where altcoins get massacred day by day . But there is still hedge method which is very effective and easy to do. That once the market is on the bull run again I just go back .
For me I am more on holding it for long term because I am not really that good in monitoring the market actively.
I believe even though it's volatile and there's a lot of things that's happening like the FUD bitcoin will still recover and continue its success.
600  Economy / Economics / Re: crypto is the future, make money of it on: July 10, 2017, 02:24:28 AM
Should not be so much excited about it, we can loose the money too if world turns upside down. It's not just having thought that bitcoin is great performer today and it will be in the future as well. I am guessing bitcoin should be considered in the present situation only for investing into it. I know every one says long term investment and all but who knows about the future.
As long as it is profitable there is nothing wrong with it. I just want to see how long these companies keep fulfilling their promises and if they could fulfill what they envisioned then those companies will be successful in the long run.
That’s right. As long as bitcoins keep fulfilling investor’s demands, they will dominate the world and I believe the companies will never ever break their promises. The world will soon have legal digital currency in the form of bitcoins. So I strongly believe that everyone should invest in bitcoins to have bright future.
In some countries bitcoin is already legal but the government set the rules therefore there is a limitation in using bitcoin.
The system itself cannot be controlled but they are focus on exchanges by regulating it, meaning we have to comply with the
law if we are holding bitcoins.
