581  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What could make an exchange to seize users assets on: April 25, 2023, 12:18:53 PM
Guess what? Very few people read that, and I don't think people are interested to know what is hiding behind their TOS.
Goes right back to my point about: Laziness and greed.

When the likes of Voyager and Celsius were offering 80% interest or whatever ridiculous, obviously unsustainable percent they were offering, people signed up and threw their bitcoin at them without a second thought. Even when I posted repeatedly about how these platforms' Terms of Service clearly said that they would be lending and spending your coins without any kind of protection, collateral, safety nets, etc., people in those threads didn't care. And then when these platforms went bankrupt, almost everyone who used them was surprised to learn what was going on behind the scenes, despite it being clearly spelt out in their Terms right from day one.

People don't care until it is too late.
They simply beleive in what majority is doing and are lazy but the greed factor constantly drives them to these platforms and deposit their funds with them forever. The 3AC meltdown and voyager becoming bankrupt was a lesson for these people that they are actually using your money not thier own funds so at last it's your loss but still they keep repeating the same shit and having their funds with these centralised platforms. They simply don't care to look at these details where they clearly mention about that your funds are their and can be used according to their wish while you can't have right over it.The coinbase SEC filing also disclose that user funds are not liability but company's assets which can be used to pay off debts in case of bankruptcy so what else do you expect from them? But as usual the percentage of these people is huge until it happens with them.

Already posted both of my predictions, but BTC screwed me by going below the $28K range recently. Bad freaking luck!
And we are just three days apart from the final day while bitcoin has again showing red signs which can turn the game as prediction have been made based on this analysis but we all know it is unpredictable game about which we can't do anything. So hope another round of investment could push it back again to $28k or high as it can easily go 7-8% upwards in a single day.
583  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: April 25, 2023, 11:54:05 AM
Merits should be dependent on the post and not the user who made the post. A quality post judged on your subjective standard. Your suggestion would limit newbies from getting merited cause they are new and not yet famous or trustworthy.
Right the merits are given to posts made by users not dependent on their rank and it should always be the same. The newbies who are making good efforts and contributing well to the forum should be recognised in the form of merits giveaway while famous members are already getting attention. So whosoever posts you find useful you can give them merits as there's no justification about it but it should be given to deserving posts not to someone you know if they haven't made that quality post.
584  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: April 25, 2023, 11:40:04 AM

I guess they don't read ToS or FAQ before they have problems with their accounts like suspension, lock, ban, can not withdraw their money. Like some people store their cryptocurrency on centralized exchanges and consider their accounts are like non custodial wallets and completely safe. They don't follow those exchange blogs, Twitters and don't know about policy changes like new requirement on KYC. At the end, when their account is restricted, they complained.

I think it is very similar with gamblers on gambling sites as most of them don't read ToS and FAQ. I don't too honestly but I will search with some key words to find information, rules about important terms which can affect my account and my money.
That's the problem with most of gamblers that they don't follow the T&C and then say the casino haven't told them earlier while everything is mentioned in their conditions which we have accepted. The KYC is now becoming common and you don't need to be updated through twitter about it as one simple search for particular casino would give you all details about them.So make sure you have all things clear beforehand.
585  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: April 25, 2023, 11:28:19 AM
~ Nevertheless if you join in any contest always lower your expectation because even many people compliments you for a well done artwork, the decision is still on the judges and we know they have different taste on what artwork for them did stand out. Well, the winners are all great artists indeed.

That's right. People around me, in real life, often say "You gonna win this time! Your art is amazing!". But some of them don't even see the works by other contestants. Many people submit their entries in the very last day, and then it becomes clear that actually competition is tough. I take part almost in all Roobet art contests and when the thread is closed I always can spot couple of works that in my opinion have better chances than mine.
Many artists have their posts reserved and then submit art at last days but you have to be creative in your own way as each user has to present a different artwork. But the level of competition has gone up in all these years because of more people participating and existing members polishing up their skills even more but you should not loose hope as at some point maybe our art also got picked up by team and people who says you will win become right.
586  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: About shit coins on: April 25, 2023, 11:16:49 AM
Shitcoins are often characterized by their low market capitalization and lack of liquidity.
Not exactly because when the coin is initial stage the demand is low so the liquidity is also low along with the market cap but that doesn't categorise it under shitcoin. Some coins with liquidity like the meme coins which comes under temporary hype but have nothing to offer are sort of shitcoins so it has different aspects.

One of the most significant issues with shitcoins is the lack of regulation in the cryptocurrency market.
The whole market is not regulated and there's no Central authority monitoring the bitcoin system and this is what makes the decentralisation concept more useful and famous. There are many coins with centralised chain of authority but bitcoin serves the true decentralised system to holders.

While some shitcoins may have legitimate use cases, the majority of them are created solely to make a profit for their creators.
When a coins has potential and utility it cannot be termed as shitcoin and this term generally goes with altcoins that have nothing to offer and will not give returns to holders. They can give temporary profits to users but in reality they are just created out of thin air to mainly benefit the creators and whales who have major supply and can manipulate the market by creating pump dump schemes which is why it's advisable to stay away from them.

When you are getting influenced by these paid influencers who are just shilling out and promoting these scam shit coins you are already on the way of losing money. They are getting paid for what they speak and youtube has 90% of these crap which has nothing in their content but only advertisements.

So there are many people who fall for such things because the greed factor is always present there along with unawareness of the market because you are blindly following the advice of these people and don't care to read why you should put money into it.

I know why youtube suggested me that video, because: my that youtube feed is full of make money online video and that scamming video was trending so youtube suggested me that i like these type of video or not.
Be careful for what you search on internet as you would come across many such videos claiming that you can earn thousand of dollars without doing anything but they are clickbait just to earn views from you and when you open them up they would recommend you to download fake apps or invest small amounts in scam projects because they have been paid for it but in reality you would not earn any money but will also loose what you have. You can earn with some skills or doing some work that's it and believe in this not fake YouTube videos.

And I like that you value fun part even more than money. That's how it is for me, and it's nice to see that you are not alone. Smiley
These decent wins also makes our day happy as we are not expecting these wins so yes we must feel good about such wins.We should take some part aside from it rather then gambling it all and when we have some considerable amount we should withdraw it but these small wins make it big.

~snip~
Just a advice that resize the image as it looks too big according to your post so you can adjust the height or width anything to make it fit to the screen and keep the rules of the thread.

Thank you both for the kind words.

Although I think that it was also luck involved (the stars have aligned right), the achievement had its fair share of hard work.
Luck factor might be there but it has helped you to write such useful posts and sharing information with all the members that has made it possible for you to reach this milestone of 6000 merits entering into 6k club with other members so congratulations to you on this one.
590  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: April 22, 2023, 02:17:04 PM

I wonder how many spins have been made or money lost before hitting this one. Indeed a huge win from this user, I do think this ind of bet amounts are likely on auto spins as I am doing it in the past as well but haven't got that same multiplier though, a 500x is huge for me how much for a 11kx, that would likely be the greatest win I could ever imagine and would take more spins again before hitting it. Congrats to this winner.
It doesn't matter how many spins you have or how much you have wagered to hit high multipliers and winning good amount because when you place a bet you only hope to win out of it so if outcome is profits then we should be happy.Although we wager a lot and might not recover all of it but even if we get something back and big sometimes we are lucky in this gambling game.
591  Other / Archival / Re: [Merit] Help newbies and those who have a little left to the next rank on: April 22, 2023, 02:01:35 PM
Can I apply it I am newbies
As per the rules newbies can apply with zero merit but in your case you don't have any posts to get merits as all your posts are bounty reports so it is not regarded as merit worthy posts so you won't get any merit according to me.This section is different and merits are mostly given to some good quality posts or if you have made some useful posts but bounty reports are not part of it.So engage in different threads if you want merits.
592  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me in choosing wallet before I make mistake on: April 21, 2023, 04:31:25 PM
First of all if you have heard from someone Binance then definitely it's not a good advice and they are preferably directing you towards these centralised exchanges which can anytime restrict you from withdraw your own coins so how come do you classified them in safe category?

There are many good wallets but depends on which coins you want to hold like for bitcoin good choice is Electrum wallet as it's non custodial and your keys never leave your wallet without anyone having access to it but if you prefer more security then hardware wallets are the choice you have but you need to spend funds for buying it.
593  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: April 21, 2023, 12:51:13 PM
You need to accept the terms and then only you can register your account and it's same in most of the platforms you sign up for your account. They have given you time and chance to read all the conditions and then only tick the box.The fake casinos can take advantage of these things as many ignore it and they can have some worse things and can freeze your account later on so be careful with these things and we should not drag this topic more and focus on Rollbit discussion in this thread only.
594  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 #1 VIP Crypto Casino 💠 Come in and explore our new design ✨ on: April 21, 2023, 12:38:54 PM
Lucky you for meeting the requirements and claimed the reward. You should put the note that KYC is required because no one bother to read the screenshot if they are excited to see the promo code on telegram.  Cheesy
If they have set requirements for KYC related accounts then you have to follow the process if you want to claim those freespins and maybe till the time you do it the code will be claimed by all the people as there's rush always for these things. But they are doing it on telegram most of the times but if you are not comfortable with KYC then you should look for other promotions that have less requirements.
595  Other / Meta / Re: 786 posts merited (by me) in just under 13 minutes–What’s got over me? (v 34.0) on: April 21, 2023, 12:25:45 PM
Create merit for yourself by giving it to those who want to receive it.  It's almsgiving to make this forum a better place.
And how do you create merit for yourself? You can only earn merits by your useful and quality posts unless you are a merit source who is getting monthly allocation apart from what you earn to distribute on the forum. But what you want to say? We should give merits who want to receive it because everyone wants it to rank up but only to those who deserves it there is big difference in both the terms.
596  Other / Meta / Re: What is the advantage of Wearing signature avatar on your BTT profile? on: April 21, 2023, 12:12:00 PM
You know in truth that this forum platform is the only one that has seen if it can provide an opportunity to those who are active here that you can earn cryptocurrency depending on the rank you have here that you will not find in other forum platforms.

Just like your question about the signature campaign, when you use or wear the banner code of a new campaign project here in the crypto space, you have the opportunity to earn via promotion or ads that your rate depends on your rank here in the forum, now if you are a Full Member and above you can wear an avatar, and those below FM cannot.
It's the most active bitcoin and crypto related forum with lot of member base so the projects also find it as advertising source for their growth and mostly they are crypto related so they also find Target audience from the forum. The members are earning for the signature and avatars they are wearing but you also have to make contributions not any spam posting. The junior rank members can wear signature although there are few campaigns which accept lower then Full rank members and junior cannot wear Avatars on the profile.
597  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: April 20, 2023, 12:44:03 PM
If I send merit to someone and later discovered that the post does not worth it...Huh
The chances of this are very rare because you merit a post after you have read about it and you liked or it has something useful according to you so the post automatically becomes worthy according to you. When you click on the merit you are redirected to a page where you enter how many smerits you have and what are you willing to send so then also you can think about it.

But as you are saying that you find it is not worthy later on how do you decide it afterwards? The content of the post remains same you have merited and overall it can't be reversed so make sure you do the right thing in starting only.
598  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: April 20, 2023, 12:32:29 PM
In fact, if you are lazy to read casino rules, you must fight against them. in the sense that the gambler must be willing to read every entry into a casino that he just found out about and then read the important sections on KYC, VPN and which countries are prohibited by the casino.
So that gamblers have no reason to be lazy to read, while there are other, easier ways to read the gist of all the problems that often occur in casinos, and I think all gamblers can learn this.[/left]
When you accept the terms you are showing them you have read all the terms and are comfortable with it whether it's KYC related or VPN or any other but after that if you say casino is not allowing you to withdraw funds without KYC or freeze your account because you were playing from prohibited country using VPN then how come you raise a accusations against them? So you must look into it once without being lazy to read the terms.

Am expecting BTC to continue remaining bullish in the near future and I hope I am right.
Was also expecting that we cross $30k barrier but the resistance was not strong and prices again tumbled a little taking it to $28k which is why we say this is unpredictable game and the prediction is difficult to make but still we have more then a week so hope it goes up towards the previous range of $30k but will see who's the lucky guy this time with boosted win.

Hello ratimov I hope my rank will be up.

Rank: newbie
Amount of merit: 0
Profile Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3532309
You have applied as per the requirements mentioned in the OP but as a suggestion I would say to write more constructive posts as I have gone through your post history and out of 22 posts almost are one or two lines not so much good or sharing something useful. The merit giving authority is with @Ratimov but just guiding you to be more effective that you gain merits in future also.
