Only 2% of premine is for dev fund. And that = 40mil. 1% is for bounties = 20mil. Total 60mil. I already mentioned the accounts were currently combined. 20mil is used for bounties over the next YEARS. No one here reads  Huh

A fix for block-lock, sendmany bug, merged-mining, and rescan/corruption issues has been put together for pool partners to test.

Where? I did not get a notification yet

Please don't pull from branches we're waiting for Syscoin.me to test for us before we release to the full network of operators. Thanks for you patience as we verify thoroughly.

Also to those who don't know math... premine is based on total coin supply to be minted. Not total supply at any given minute.  Roll Eyes

After all issues got fixed price will be up soon, the issues are able to be fixed, so what are you worry about , I don't understand why so many guys sell their coin under ICO price.

could u tell me any issues have now?

I mean if there are any issues, DEV will fix them ASAP just as they did before.

We have 4 issues impacting pools we are working to resolve- wallet rescan hangs, the daemon will lock up when sent rogue blocks, and sendmany fails after one of the following preconditions causing headaches for pools and then enabling merged mining. We are actively working on this right now and will test with a pool tonight before providing another update.

Everyone- I have deleted a number of posts with vulgarity and comments unrelated to Syscoin. Please keep things on topic, and please keep the conversation adult and civil or replies will be deleted and if uses continue- i will request moderator ban. Thanks for keeping it civil.

We are testing fixes now.

well, i wasn't vulgar at any point, was i? You are provoking your special "syscointhead is censored - thread" - you know that, right?

No I'm not. Either you were vulgar or they were, and there was vulgarity in the quotes. I deleted the bickering between you and the other user. All of it. No one got special treatment. Now lets get back on topic, please.

When are the merged mining issues going to be fixed?

We are working on fixing all remaining issues right now / tonight. Updates to follow.

Transparency:

As promised: DEV WALLET. Currently contains DEV + BOUNTY funds and we have been using some funds for bounties- we're started paying them out!  Grin

And their job is to develop a coin, not to subsidize you. That's what you have a mommy and a daddy for.

Mommy and Daddy, really. Grin They didn't need 1000+ BTC to develop, you can do that without funding. Many developers build a coin without any funding. It's not their job to just "develop a coin", they went deeper due to requesting money from investors. Thanks for your input though, have a great day.

And many developers take a 1% premine, wait 2 days, dump it all and then clone another coin and repeat. Don't forget audacious roadmaps that never materialize (anon! marketplaces! magic! pixie dust!). You're right, that doesn't take any effort. That is not Syscoin.

Your Twitter bio says you're partners, yet you don't know if they spent your BTC or not? I think Moola indeed has to clarify something here

We are not myopically focused on the rewards here (but we do need them to keep goin) and we have faith in the product we're producing.

Moolah is our partner and we trust them. We did agree that a decent portion of the 250btc could be applied as buy support at their discretion given the launch issues.

Good Work Dev.
Keep up the spirit and hard work, there is still many who support s the coin :-)
Were mining from the start, but now buying when still cheap :-)

Thumbs up From Denmark

Thanks! And a big Hello to Denmark! Love crypto, such a global community  Cheesy. You don't get this kinda of community in many other contexts.

Dev that is all well and good but wasn't the 250btc given to you on the pretext of setting up buy support, which you didn't do then had to send the money back?

I beleive this was confirmed by moolah rep.

No. There were issues with the launch that is why we returned it. It has absolutely nothing to do with us setting up buy walls or not. It was merely a portion of the total owed us upon delivery, the rest was scheduled to be delivered after the network was running properly for a certain amount of time and then we ran into issues the next morning. That is when we returned the BTC to Moolah. Nothing to do with buy support.

It is my understanding is that Moolah used BTC from the fund AS buy support but I will let them clarify this point. If this is the case then when the team fixes the last remaining issue with the daemon (merged mining, sendmany cmd), they will be receiving some portion of BTC and some portion of SYS that was purchased using the BTC owed to the team. We have until 18:00 GMT 8/20 to deliver these fixes.

If the team is getting additional SYS we plan on holding it, we're all about holding Wink
592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 19, 2014, 08:44:03 PM
The DEVs don't have any BTC.  Moolah hasn't released any to them.

THIS IS TRUE.

MOOLAH SENT US 250BTC DIRECTLY AFTER LAUNCH.

WE RETURNED 250BTC (-15BTC used for early buy support) DIRECTLY TO MOOLAH AS SOON AS ISSUES APPEARED AFTER LAUNCH. BLOCKCHAIN PROOF: https://blockchain.info/tx/53b1c79d56a641ae2694d8858eb722339b8f492d12f5bb15e7de1b510e921300

... guess that makes us the worst scammers ever  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Working hard to earn it back and then use it to take Syscoin to the next level. Operating right now completely out of pocket and had no plans to be in this situation (launched with zero funding) so doing our best. Lots of devs have seen the code and are contributing time for free- we want to reward them, and onboard more.
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 19, 2014, 08:36:34 PM
Got to say how refreshing it is to see devs delivering on promises, easily contactable, problem solving, and so level headed in the face of so much unsubstantiated fud!
There may be hope for the altcoin world after all. Well done!

 Smiley THANK YOU Smiley

We are working very hard to do things right moving forward and learning from earlier mistakes. Syscoin is very unique and even though there were some issues- this is a huge codebase to launch, and we're incredibly excited to see its potential realized as people realize its stable and can be built upon.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 19, 2014, 07:13:12 PM
Just bought my first SYS.

 Grin Welcome aboard!
595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 19, 2014, 06:31:06 PM
Devs,

I agree with whale123 pretty much all the way across the board. But please don't put up any BTC support until major issues are ironed out a bit more AND the fud subsides a bit AND the weak hands have worn themselves out for the most part.

BTC subsidy too  early will weaken the coin early on, and the people who need the handouts this soon probably shouldn't be playing in any market unless and until they have a good comprehension of RISK and can do math in their head on-the-fly.

Give BOTH sides of the issue some serious thought, then weigh it out please.

Very well stated. We made it clear that this big of a shift in coin-code would come with some wrinkles. I agree that the seasoned investors hold. We will weigh both sides.
596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 19, 2014, 06:29:27 PM
Devs, please read this carefully.

I've been with this coin from the beginning (posting in this thread since April, following Dano since February MEOW relaunch).
So... no FUD intended.

There is no doubt that the coin has some innovative concept.
There were also some issues at launch that all of us are aware (you luckily managed to solve those issues).

Unfortunatelly, problem is that altcoins are mostly not about technology, but about community's sentiments. And unfortunatelly, there is too much dark clouds above Sys community. We can debate if it is deserved or not but the fact is that there are many people here with negative attitude, which might be a threat for the coin.

Some people bought after launch or were waiting to buy but were disappointed with the launch issues (which were already fixed).
Also, there is many people who invested into ICO and now have worse starting position. This is especially dangerous - we have tu understand, that we have peple with 1500 BTC worth of coins who are pissed that they believed in the coin as one of the first and yet they are on worse position than all the rest. It seems that syscoin believer lost this round and guys who were late to the party are going to win. We can not let that happen. We don't want army of unhappy people. As soon as you get those escrowed BTC's you should definitely use it to set 1500 BTC buy support at 518 satoshi. Maybe some people will decide to exit, but probably most won't just because of that action, helping to protect the price. You don't have to do this, but please, listen to me - you definitely should do this. People won't be listening to innovation news unless they won't feel safe about the price. Sorry, that's how crypto works. I know you pot lots of effort into this coin and it is your dream to make it successful. Don't let this mistake stop it from happening. Protect the early investors who were with you from the beginning and you will only benefit.

Thanks for the meaninful comment. You make a good point and we are working as hard as we can to get that escrow fund released. We need it not only to add buy support but also to pay developers. We have a growing number of developers helping us out for free and they deserve compensation. Presale buyers have had a chance to exit and some got out at 1k satoshi making profits and all that. We are still here working to increase the value,  but have very little to work with "funding wise" until we get that fund. Soon as we have it we can start making a lot happen.

I asked earlier but didn't get an answer.

I tried to create a alias but the Qt complained error:
Error creating new alias: "Error, transaction creation failed "

Now I tried second time but still doesn't work. I've got two 1.002 transactions that are stuck. How can I cancel or remove them?

Did I do something wrong? I first made a syscoin address for receiving payments. Then I pressed the "new alias button" and I did put the alias there.

Have I understood wrong what aliases are (shortcuts for payment addresses?). There is no info of them on the OP or website.

Edit: these fees seem to be collecting confirmations forever. One has already 54 confirmations. Do they ever end? The sent to: is blank.

You need to activate the alias after new, for example:

aliasnew "MYALIAS" ~ 1SYS at current fee schedule pricing
aliasactivate "MYALIAS" 12437y9c0dd7e0 "ALIAS VALUE" ~ 5K sys ""

Fees move down on a sliding scale. This is the fee price discovery schedule we communicated prelaunch. It lasts 90days then we'll implement dynamic fees.

somehow alias registration is 5k+sys. a bit too expensive

It was 1SYS + 0.002 transaction fee yesterday.  Huh
i was expectingn1,sys tbh. it didnt say a price. big.mistake

That's super harsh just taking your coins without a confirmation of the price or "are you sure" warning or anything. Sad

We have logged this as an issue and will be addressing it. Definitely not user friendly.
599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 19, 2014, 05:56:17 PM
When will the market work?
And I mean the buttons and not some shitty command lines.
When will we get notifications when we have to pay something?

Market works now- you want QT improvements those will come this week as soon as we can get the funds released from Moolah. We need to pay devs.

when will pay the bounties? Cry

There are a few (3) issues we need to address before everything is totally 100% working. We're doing this today. Then we pay bounties. Been trying to mitigate all this FUD too.

somehow alias registration is 5k+sys. a bit too expensive

It was 1SYS + 0.002 transaction fee yesterday.  Huh

You must aliasnew + aliasactivate in order to lock in an alias. If you aliasnew without activate someone can still grab it from you by aliasnew+activate before you. Price of aliases is high in order to discourage abuse. Please see notes about 90day price discovery schedule posted here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1x8dv0pGyRCeT8aXIEQpgNiq0ENxJKwEO_PmZqnxJERk/edit?usp=sharing

I think point most here are missing, they had 8 months, yes 8 months to develop and deliver the code. There is no sorry excuse about number of lines or some innovative feature which couldn't be trusted before it got released. Shit is also yellow in color, doesnt makes it gold.

See my note above about "posts from accounts created recently". If you participated in the presale you have SYS and can sell if you so please. The price is still right around presale values, its almost like a refund.

Dev team is still working hard and coordinating with pools, exchanges. Services ARE WORKING.
