581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do any people gamble under the age of 18? on: May 02, 2017, 02:16:40 PM
I want to know if anyone here gambles or have gambled under the age of 18, I feel like there are many kids who do this and I am interested to see how many people actually gamble under 18, if you have any friends that gamble or have gambled under 18 include them.

EDIT: I mean mostly kids online, its hard to be a kid and gamble physically. I feel like the gambling rate for kids is increasing a lot and is gonna be a problem in the future, especially with the CS:GO situation.

EDIT2: Another question to ask, is what is your opinion on the topic of kids gambling, do you think it is a growing problem or a problem alone for that matter?

EDIT3: What is the best way to counter this problem without websites having to know your exact identity?

Another question to ask, is what is your opinion on the topic of kids gambling, do you think it is a growing problem or a problem alone for that matter?
- In my view on this matter,  it is true that kids gambling now was growing problem, I think some of the country
are also facing this kind of a problems which is not good actually Because they are just a kids and young.
Who's to blame for that, I guess it is not the progressing technology should be blame, instead blames are all to the parents or guardians for failure to do their job in monitoring their kids.

I disagree on blaming the parents or guardians for not being able to prevent underage kids to know about gambling. We all know that the technology has improved so fast that some parents or older people can not keep with the modern technology while young people can and are able to learn many things with it.

For me, it is not right to put the blame on our parents since we are capable to decide on our own. I know that they are the one who should be guiding us but that does not mean that in every fall we make, the blame should be put on them.

585  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Earthquake hits Manila on: April 15, 2017, 05:51:06 AM
I'm also from the Philippines. I was in Pasay when it happened, and you can really feel it. Let's just pray that none of the earthquake gets worst. Keep safe guys! x hugs

Philippines sits close to the Pacific ring of fire, so there is always the probability of a major earthquake striking the country. Perhaps the government should put more emphasis on making sure that the building codes are followed.

Yeah, you are the right that the Philippines is located near the Pacific ring of fire. It is also the reason why storms occur frequently in a year.

587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: April 15, 2017, 04:10:49 AM
Hello everyone as the title says ^
Do you store your bitcoins online or on a wallet on your computer, perhaps cold storage?

I store my bitcoins on an online wallet. This wallet is where all my earnings from signature campaigns go.

588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if someday the network internet totally dead . on: April 15, 2017, 03:47:14 AM
what if someday when bitcoin has become the main payment instruments in the world. and how when the Internet network paralyzed. it means that we all can not perform various financial transactions? , is there any solution ?

Use cash.

A very straightforward answer.  Cool

You have mentioned that bitcoin just became the main payment instrument, this can mean that other currencies are still accepted for performing money transactions. I agree with him that if ever internet network is paralyzed, using cash will solve your stated problem.  Smiley

589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: April 15, 2017, 03:29:19 AM
What would you do when you're talking to someone but then he suddenly talks about his hatred on Bitcoin, what would you react to it?

I've never actually experienced anything like this before, I just want to be prepared when it happened to me.

I something like that happen to me I would not react badly about it. People have their own opinions and beliefs in life, it is better to respect what they say than to push yourself to convince them on what you think about bitcoin. If this situation ever happen to you, meeting someone who hates bitcoin, the best thing to do is to respect what he says in order to avoid any arguments.

590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Gambling Movie on: April 15, 2017, 03:08:12 AM
All movies about gambling so which movie will win. My 3 choices for Two for the money, Runner Runner and 21. You must see Al Pacino's performance in Two For The Money movie. Really epic.

Some movies are old classic. ''Old but Gold''

Maybe we can bet which movie will take more vote Smiley i bet Two For The Money and 21 movie.

Rain Man, King of Gamblers added.

I would vote for 21. I am really amazed on how they planned to take the house down by using math skills in playing the games. I always believe that winning gambling is based on how lucky you are. You may use strategies on the game or by simply playing but winning is equal to lucky chances. I like how my idea about gambling was suddenly altered because of this movie.

591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: April 15, 2017, 02:30:00 AM
Guys I know that there are previous posts and polls regarding the highly suggested source of bitcoin but things always change do I want to know what is the current best source of bitcoin nowadays. Please participate on this poll and kindly tell us why that's your choice. Thanks in advance and God bless us more Wink

Somehow, I wish that joining signature campaigns is also on the choices but since it is not I would vote for trading. I haven't tried it or have my own experience in trading but I know some people who have gain profit by doing it. I also asked them about this with mining and trading as the only choices. They said that they would still go for trading since it is much easier to do than mining which is very expensive to afford for.

592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How casinos slots attract players to play ? on: April 15, 2017, 02:15:25 AM
How big casinos like crocozino.io ,  fortunejack.com, mbitcasino.com attract their players ?
what makes you come to play ??

I play games on casino sites for fun. I like playing poker and many casino sites offers great features to play this game. I also like the idea of having fun while earning which is what playing on casino sites can give. I am sure that many players are also like that and the casino sites are very beneficial ways to experience that idea. Also that casino sites offers promos, bonuses and attractive features which make us come back and play.  Smiley

593  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Question: Growing small amount of BTC? on: April 14, 2017, 03:28:05 PM
Hey everyone,

I've been loosely following bitcoin over the past year or so and finally decided to see if I could earn any of my own back in February.  I've read a few recent threads here, and I have to say, contrary to popular opinion, I managed to earn 0.0025+ satoshi only using faucets.  I lost 0.0005+ satoshi due to changing network fees and fumbling around to find a wallet that would accept small deposits (xapo!).  I then lost another 0.001 satoshi getting caught in the bitcity.biz scam.

Needless to say, once bitten, twice shy.  Rumours around the 'net say you have to have a thick skin to engage on this board, not sure if that's true in this particular newbie forum or not, but just saying the rumours I've heard.  I actually thought maybe those rumours could be of some assistance to me.  When scammers are not tolerated, its easier for helpful info to rise to the surface.

I am experimenting to see if it's possible to earn a decent amount of satoshi on my own without affiliates as I am a terrible marketer and most of my friends don't appreciate affiliate systems in general.  So if I can do this on my own, I will be blogging about it and hopefully helping others do the same.

Based on what I was seeing over the past two months, various investment platforms will begin as low as 0.001 investment.  The two that seem to be above board according to some sources are Coin factory and AdmiralBTC.  Would anyone agree, disagree or suggest something more reputable?  At the moment I have the bulk of earned satoshi over at freebitco.in since they began doing the 4.08% annual interest.  Got my first 11 satoshi in interest this morning.

Step one was to prove to myself that one could indeed earn enough satoshi to begin building it.

Step two is to choose the safest, most secure method to do the growing while continuing to earn more satoshi.  I would love as many honest responses as I can get on this one.  I'm not much of a risk taker and I agree with the slogan: invest only what you are prepared to lose.  As I said, I've already lost 0.001 satoshi trying to figure this out.  That's a lot of faucet hours! (first .001 took just over a month, second .001 took exactly two weeks, a few hours here and there each day as I could spare)

Step three is to grow the satoshi via investment and earnings to a level where I can use Xapo's debit card to do things like pay for groceries or buy gas.  Although that brings me to another question:

Xapo and another wallet both deal only in btc, USD, or in the other wallet's case, also Euro.  Neither deal in CAD, although Xapo does have a CAD wallet that auto-created for me when I created my account.  I live in Canada.  So exchange rates would have to happen at the point of sale rather than at the wallet.  Is there a wallet out there that offers a debit card going from BTC to CAD?

I look forward to hearing some helpful advice.  You never know, I might just cite you in my blogging about this adventure.

Wow! You must be that persistent to be able to earn that amount through faucets. I have also tried earning using faucets but got disappointed in the end because the sites I have used was not paying. I suggest joining signature campaigns if you really want to earn bitcoin.  Smiley

595  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Possible to Mine Bitcoins Using Desktop? on: April 14, 2017, 03:11:40 PM
For everybody answering yes, yes but, yes with special software, yes with x number of PC's,... i leave following calculation:

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Non-specialized_hardware_comparison

1 PC with a new CPU and a decent GPU, having both the CPU (all cores) and GPU running 100% for mining, the above link quickly shows that the hashrate will be <3Gh/s (GPU) + <0.2Gh/s (CPU).

It should be obvious that there is overhead, and that not everybody will run a PC with XEON's + an AMD 5870x6 GPU, but let's assume we have 10 PC's with such hardware. The total hashrate would certainly be lower than 50 Gh/s.

Let's assume you're stealing the electricity from the cybercafé...  Tongue, so you have no extra costs... Now let's punch in the numbers at a calculator:

http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculator/?h=50.00&p=2600.00&pc=0.00&pf=1.00&d=422170566883.83700000&r=12.50000000&er=1042.04050000&hc=0.00

As you can see, even in this utopian example, at current diff, block reward and price, you would make a measly $11 A YEAR running 10 PC's equipped with XEON CPU's and a really good GPU 24/7 at 100% (both CPU and GPU).

Now, let's conclude this topic by saying: NO, there is no way you can mine bitcoins using your computer... Not if you have the hottest gaming PC around, not if you steal resources from a cybercafé, not even if you install a cpu miner in your schools computer lab. The only thing that will happen is that you'll get suspended/fired/sued.

The only way to mine BTC is having a really, really cheap electricity rate, and using the latest ASIC gear. Everything else is a waste of hardware, power and money.

I really thought that mining bitcoin would be equal to expensive hardware with high requirements and a specialized software to be used. Thank you for this broad explanation. You must know a lot about mining bitcoin to be able to explain it like this. Good job!

596  Economy / Services / Re: Let your Facebook account make money while you sleep on: April 14, 2017, 03:04:48 PM
And who the hell would able to give his facebook and all personal details and stuffs on a stranger? and also I didn't catch out on what would the purpose while you would required these kind of account and next to that the person who claimed that was paid is also you and that's already an obvious thing and now you got negative trust, you do really deserve that thing.

I agree with you. Giving personal details to a stranger is a foolish thing to do. The ad really catch my attention but after reading all the questions posted and seeing how he answered them I eventually lost my interest.

597  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a place to get updates on the latest trading info? on: April 14, 2017, 02:53:56 PM
So I know that everybody probably wants this kind of information and few people want to deal it out, but I was wondering if there is a place that that I could get updates on the latest trading info (things like promising coins coming out, updates getting pushed, sudden hype, etc).

Nice topic and nice job for starting a thread about it but I can see that there are choices to gain information about trading. It is either doing your own research or taking what other members have suggested. I am torn between these two since I have read from this thread that resources online are sometimes unreliable and that I should not also believe some of the suggestions in this forum. I hope someone would suggest a legit site about trading bitcoin. Thank you.

598  Economy / Economics / Re: New here: Tut for people interested in earning bitcoins (legit) on: April 14, 2017, 02:06:01 PM
Hi good day!

However, I wanted to earn bitcoins while searching in the internet there are tons of faucets but only few are paying up and its a total waste of time. I've heard of signature campaign and am interested but don't know how to start. Minning and loaning requires investment which I'm afraid to invest or it would be gone by the wind in one blow since I don't have any knowledge of how bitcoin works. So if there is someone willing to give like a tutorial I would really appreciate it...

Do you believe in god? If you do, why do you believe? (give a few reasons)

I grew up in a Catholic family. All of my relatives are Catholic and I value my religion as I value my family. I can only think of many reasons why I believe in God but I am going to tell you that faith is the only reason I need to believe in Him. I hope that this would be respected. Thank you.  Smiley

600  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Earthquake hits Manila on: April 13, 2017, 10:22:51 AM
An earthquake shook parts of Luzon around 3:09 p.m. Saturday.

The tremors were felt in Metro Manila, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Cavite, and Zambales, based on first-hand reports of netizens online.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology has yet to issue a report on the quake.
The quake followed Tuesday night's 5.5 temblor that hit Batangas City and other parts of Luzon, which generated more than 40 aftershocks.

http://news.abs-cbn.com/news/04/08/17/quake-felt-in-luzon

Felt this earthquake. I was typing #714 and posting when I felt the ground shaking . Hope forum members from the Philippines, especially from the mentioned provinces are ok. Be safe everyone. Kiss

There are chain messages that are spreading like wild fire on sms as well as chat on messenger. The rumors is saying that a big one will hit Manila and other parts of the country. After reading your post all I can say is that the Filipinos must stay alert always and keep updated with the events. They must coordinate with the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office in their locality for an earthquake warning and announcement.

The chain messages really spread as fast as it could. I don't know if it helps, but for me this chain messages only adds to the discomfort we are already feeling. I am scared and worried for all Filipinos especially to those in Batangas who greatly experienced the quake. I agree with you that we should always stay alert and be updated with the events. I just hope that are government is prepared if the Big One happens.  Sad
