61  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / How secured are Trezor Safe 3 ? on: April 25, 2024, 09:04:31 PM
Eventually, I got my Trezor hardware wallet. Upon setting it up, I discovered it doesn't have a battery, means it has to be connected to the apps or website in order to create seeds. Though I shut off my Internet connection, it doesn't feel good to me. As I can remember Ledger create seed itself even not connected to the apps. So I have a concern about Trezor security. Are we sure the apps won't pass the seed to Trezor when it is connected to the Internet? Or apps couldn't read data from the Trezor? First time with Trezor, so I need to understand how it does work actually. If Ledger were open-source, then I would like to use Ledger. I like Trezor just for being open-source.
62  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Samourai wallet website seized by DOJ, developers arrested on: April 25, 2024, 08:52:34 PM
Day by day, it will become very hard to hide ourselves as crypto users. We often want to increase privacy due to security reasons. Everyone, we aren't criminals here, but everyone likes to increase their privacy. But the fucking centralised government, which always wants to monitor us, doesn't like our privacy. So all the privacy services on the crypto will be identified and action taken against them. Already, many mixers and similar services have been seized. It's an ongoing process to break our privacy.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin is fungible? on: April 25, 2024, 08:38:09 PM
There is a local proverb in my country: "Money won't be tainted." So no way is Bitcoin tainted; mixing Bitcoin doesn't change anything except increase privacy. It's always fungible; we can trade or do whatever we like with our Bitcoin. The money could be used for any purpose, but that but that doesn't mean it's tainted when used for crime. The way we spending money won't be tainted but money itself won't. So Bitcoin is a currency that exists online. It can't be tainted and is always fungible.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please, I urge you to buy bitcoin! on: April 22, 2024, 08:48:01 PM
^^^ With 8 billion people on Earth, that's (on average) 262500 satoshi's per person. Plenty enough to do business with.

Cool
Perfect answer.

However, Bitcoin is still accessible to everyone, and anyone can accumulate it. Likely, you bought Bitcoin and want a quick pump. A lot of people in the world still don't know what Bitcoin is. Only a few people are aware and are accumulating as well. More people coming to Bitcoin means more value.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying more of the Dip on: April 22, 2024, 08:40:33 PM
If you can remember the dump last week, I keep accumulating altcoins. Though it was high-risk, without taking risks, we can't make money from crypto anyway. So ultimately, we have to accumulate crypto at a low price in order to make profits. So currently, I am making profits from my accumulation. I am just waiting for a good time to sell them. My average cost for purchasing altcoin has exceeded. A little pump now could give a good return.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now that Bitcoin halving have been completed, what next? on: April 22, 2024, 08:24:20 PM
Halving ended, and hype for the halving ended as well. So, as expected, Bitcoin didn't react during halving. Because Bitcoin has already been pumped so hard due to ETF hype. So generally, we can expect healthy growth for Bitcoin now. From past history, we have seen Bitcoin pumped after the halving. So Bitcoin will start getting new investors and will start growing in price as well. Likely more institutional investors, we need to pump the chart from the current zone.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Panic for the Halving Hike of Tx. It will come Down Again. on: April 22, 2024, 08:14:06 PM
Are you talking about the large number of transactions on the Bitcoin blockchain? I don't think this transaction happens for halving; it might be due to ordinals transactions. However, a few transactions would occur from the Bitcoin investor's end. Because everyone thinks there will be pumping and moving their coins into exchange. So there is a small possibility of increasing Bitcoin transactions due to halving that isn't noticeable at all.
68  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Safe 3 New Hardware Wallet on: April 22, 2024, 08:03:31 PM
Eventually, I received my new trezor Safe3 wallet. It seems using the Trezor wallet is a bit more complicated than the Ledger wallet. And not much coin support like BNB. For that, you need to use a third-party wallet like Metamask. It seems they are not allowed to use mobile devices for setting ledgers. Otherwise, ask for setup through the Web version. Though turning off the Internet works during setup trezor, I don't feel secure with the Web version. So I have to setup trezor through my computer by tomorrow. I will update you on it by tomorrow.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin transactions fees gone high and will be be increasing day by day? on: April 21, 2024, 08:01:38 PM
Ordinals messed up the transaction fees. On the other hand, since block rewards have decreased, transaction fees would go a bit higher as well. Miners could manipulate transaction fees also by creating dust transactions, because eventually transaction fees will go to them so they won't lose anything for a dust transaction. If you notice a lot of dust transactions, then imagine miners manipulating.
70  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tornado cash founders charged with money laundering/sanctions violations on: April 21, 2024, 07:32:06 PM
No, it wasn't directly from the mixer. My clients mixed and received his address. Then he sent it to my Binance. I have provided a screenshot where I talked about sending funds to my clients. So the fund was from my client's address, not from Mixer.
That is surprising, as far as i know or thought i did, centralized exchanges wouldn't ask for verification on the source of funds if after mixing you go through a few hops before depositing it into their platform. In this case it was from tornado cash -> wallet -> binance, i would think that would have been enough, but maybe the client should have gone through a few more hops. However, goodluck and i hope you get a good resolution with binance.
Today I received mail that Binance enabled my withdrawal for cryptocurrency. But they are temporarily restricted from using their platforms for trading and p2p trading. However I am happy that at least they allowed me to withdraw my funds from there. It doesn't matter if they don't want to allow me to use their platform. I still have hope since I haven't made any mistakes there. They need more than 15 days to let me know their final decision about account restrictions. I am going to withdraw all the funds into a hardware wallet and unlikely trade in centralised exchanges.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you increasing your bitcoin investments because of today halving ? on: April 21, 2024, 07:25:06 PM
To be honest, I haven't accumulated any new bitcoin. I am holding a small amount of bitcoin and have a target to sell it. During the dip a few days ago, I accumulated a few top altcoins and am waiting for a pump. Unless I make profits from there, I don't have the intention to accumulate more bitcoin right now. But yes, I have some reserve funds for emergency cases; in case Bitcoin falls unrealistically and dips too much, I would use my reserve funds to accumulate Bitcoin.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DO NOT BRAG ABOUT YOUR BITCOIN on: April 21, 2024, 07:18:08 PM
The situation is quite bad in my country. We even can't share that we are related to crypto because cryptocurrency is illegal in my country. So there is no question about sharing our holdings with anyone else. However, personally, I don't share, even with my nearest friends, how much I hold. I like to maintain maximum privacy when it's related to cryptocurrency. I just believe in myself and my family. But my family also doesn't know how much I am holding right now; they just know I am involved with cryptocurrency.
73  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin halving security tips for first timers. on: April 20, 2024, 09:14:18 PM
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with the community. It would help newbies prevent fraud. Halving does nothing except reduce block rewards. So nothing special there in Halving event. Its true, many scammers would try to drain your wallet in various ways. So we need to be very careful. However, Halving has ended, and everything is normal now. So don't believe it if you hear anything like a giveaway or free money about Halving.
74  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Currency/cryptocurrency exchange Obmify on: April 20, 2024, 09:08:44 PM
Brand new monitor without true reviews. It's very easy to manipulate online reviews nowadays. So I can't trust online reviews. However, it seems OP wants to promote his monitor service. I will ask to create a proper and official announcement instead of advertising this way. And you must improve your website and services as well. You should let people give honest reviews on this forum. For me, Best_Change is the best monitor for currency exchange.
75  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tornado cash founders charged with money laundering/sanctions violations on: April 20, 2024, 08:43:34 PM
Usually I don't store funds for exchange, but those funds are there for daily trading. Still, they allow trades but disable withdrawals.
Did I understand correctly, the funds you are talking about were sent directly from Tornado source to Binance?
I know of earlier cases where Binance requested verification for funds deposited directly from the mixer, while it was not the case for mixer -> wallet -> Binance. It is the same starting address where the funds came from.

No, it wasn't directly from the mixer. My clients mixed and received his address. Then he sent it to my Binance. I have provided a screenshot where I talked about sending funds to my clients. So the fund was from my client's address, not from Mixer. But still, I haven't received any resolution from Binance. My account is still under investigation. I am waiting for their response before making an accusation thread.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Runes push fees as high as 900/vbyte or $196 US on: April 20, 2024, 08:37:18 PM
I admit that due to high transaction fees, Bitcoin has become unusable. It has become quite impossible to make any small payments in Bitcoin due to over-transaction fees. Mining rewards have decreased, and now miners will increase the fees somehow as well. Ordinal has made everything difficult right now regarding transaction fees. Due to a lot of ordinals transactions, the Bitcoin network has become congested. Bitcoin developers must find a solution. Otherwise, day by day, Bitcoin will be far from its goal. It would just be treated as an investment asset.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you stopped using bitcoin for small transactions completely ? on: April 19, 2024, 09:04:01 PM
To be honest, yes. I have stopped making small Bitcoin transactions. A few months ago, I worked for a client to buy a domain. Previously, I bought a domain with Namecheap through Bitcoin, and as usual, I tried it. During that time, I was asked to pay $50+ fees for $50 transactions. So it's totally useless to use Bitcoin there. I had to use my card to purchase the domain name. So usually we can't make small Bitcoin transactions in this situation unless transaction fees become law. A few days ago, I also used LTC to make payments. I forgot where, but besides Bitcoin, there were options for LTC as well. So it does require only small transaction fees.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did I spend my Bitcoin on? on: April 19, 2024, 08:56:34 PM
Whatever the reason, it seems it has gone. So you can just waste your time searching for history. It can't recover even the funds sent to the scammer. It's been a long time, and it might have mixed everything. So it's useless to find where the funds have ended up. I know you regret how and where it was spent, but the truth is, you can't change your past. Focus on the future and learn from the past. I am not sure how much Bitcoin you have been holding, but try to treat your holdings in the right way.
79  Other / Meta / Re: Email used to create this forum? on: April 19, 2024, 08:12:30 PM
It's funny that you claimed to be the creator of this forum but don't know what the email was for creating it.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5493499.0

However, it seems you had some bad intentions behind looking for the email that was used to create this forum or host it. Do you want to hack and claim you are Satoshi? Just curious.
80  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you tried Pre-Market Trading? on: April 18, 2024, 09:17:02 PM
First time hearing about pre-market trading. It seems sometimes I need to spend time on the trading discussion board. Otherwise, I would be a back-dated trader, though I am not a trading expert. However, for me, it does need a more in-depth explanation. It's actually hard to understand. Especially, I am wondering from where the seller will get tokens. Likely from another exchange or Dex? If so, it's more risky for both buyer and seller. Because it's quite unpredictable about newly listed tokens. So it's kind of gambling with your funds.
