Hardfork launch at the end of February, Fidelity launch in March. So big whales going to pump already? When we can expect growing?  Roll Eyes
Big investors will likely buy BTC when it starts rallying again ETH going up this year is something even I is looking forward, but looking at the price and the coming fork that might reduce the supply by 33% surely it will make a difference.
This is not a hardfork and it will not reduce the supply stop lying to tje people. This is upgrade and this will make the inflation inflate with 33% less by reducing miners reward, this upgrade will not reduce supply where did you read such total bullcrap??

Point of fact: it is a hardfork. Blocks produced after Constantinople are not compatible with blocks produced prior.

Anytime you want emissions to change outside of the protocol, you need to hardfork to make that happen.

Emission rate is reduced by 33%. In turn, this reduces circulating supply (compared to what it would have been without the change). It doesn't reduce by 33% (that's just dumb math), but it will be reduced since less ETH is being pushed out.

ETH developers are trying to get rid of miners and leave only asics to mine it's easier for them and they get paid by bitmain you are blind if you don't see that, they delayed the anti-asic code implementation "for further testing" yeah right what a joke they'll never implement it. How are you dip buyers keep on buying someone must pay for devs vacation all these symposiums they attend all the time are expensive guess who's paying.

lol noob alert.

Somebody participating in Poletia? I just want to try, but I feel responsibility. Because that very important for project.
Additionally, someone participating in bug bounty?

Somebody who want know more about Decred, please read the Decred Journal: https://xaur.github.io/decred-news/
There is support 5 languages now!  Smiley

Yes, lots of people are participating in Poletia. Lots of good comments and feedback on every proposal.

Don't worry, in the end, your vote is only as big as your wallet. Not to belittle the responsibility...

This is ideal timing be strict on our position, not to be manipulated at any cost. Ongoing ETH breakout is looking great, setting up nicely here. Here, the market is very tough to predict that's why fall may be inevitable. But, price is cheap, so ensure at the end you regret the chances you didn't take.
Investors who can take advantage of bearish market will get returns in later bullish one.
It's a hard time for investors, but as the saying goes: There are challenges, there are also big opportunities
Ethereum, in reality, have brought great chances for us this year.
Just curious about what will happen after ether gets its block decrease and do these speculators will take it as a serious thing. POS, Scalability fixed, i hope this one will try to implement anti asic miners too.

Without bullish and all of these coins that you have bought during the crash will be useless.

Asics are for PoW coins, not PoS. Once Serenity goes live, Ethereum doesn't need to worry about that.

DEVELOPERS EXIT and took for 10$ kKkkkkkkkkkkk

where are those addresses with such a movement? let us see them on the blockchain
They didn't happen lol. trolls gonna troll bruh
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: January 27, 2019, 11:29:46 PM
They more I read the pathetic posts and loser promoters in this thread, the more I see ethereum is long lost cause that was a stupid idea to begin with and doesn't have a hope in hell at contributing anything to this world other than trading scams.

Consensys is another toxic scam to stay away from. The loser behind this is in bed with Saudi Arabia, one of the most corrupt and controlled places on the world. and guess what they want to do, those queer prince's and kings want to build 150sqf smart homes for people and a smart city based on crypto currency and no ownership of anything and only leasing. Sounds cool right. Enjoy your box to live in and your smart wallet.

Eth $7 - $20 by this time next year.

lol sounds like someone bought in right about a year ago, huh?

Take your silly baseless butthurt elsewhere bruh. It's obv you're just trolling here.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: January 27, 2019, 11:27:44 PM

thanks for sharing. There are great maths behind ethereum 2.0. The tables he has shown are really simple and easy to understand. "The user must first acquire 32 ETH.."

Is it the final calculation? i have seen and read some whitepapers related to the ethereum 2.0 and how much ethereum needed to staking in the network is not yet determined. There will be a chance for that to be changed again.

Yes, it is determined. 32 Eth is current spec.

Around one year, Crypto-kitty has still played important role on the Augur network and its returns.
https://www.ccn.com/this-cryptokitty-loving-ethereum-user-has-made-almost-50-of-all-augur-predictions-market-profits/
Nearly 50 percent of Augur's profits come from Crypto Kitty.

You didn't read the article, did you? Cryptokitties has shit to do with Augur. Augur's profits don't come from cryptokitties, that literally makes no sense.

The guy who has made nearly 50% of Augur's profits so far also happens to own a few kitties. That's it.

A doubt, for these forks does not need the acceptance of the ETH community?
In my opinion, I don't call them as any kind of fork from Ethereum, not soft fork, not hard fork.
I tend to call them clone fork because they simply use open-source codes of Ethereum, copy them all, then create their new coins, new clone-forked coins.
I raised a discussion there:
Upgrade or hard-fork? Is it time to stop over-misusing the term hard-fork?

The  fork that will be executed, it seems that there will be no division of the blockchain, it will only be improvements in ETH.

And there's no reason to think that there will be contentius hard fork, it's just an upgrade, of course there's going to be a fork, miners need to mine blocks with the new code in them

Mining won't be possible in new upgrade on the ETH blockchain it will switch to POS mode from POW. I think you should have to read the documents and updates carefully.

uhhh...no. Constantinople fork does not include a switch to POS. Blocks will still be forged via PoW. PoS won't be coming until Serenity fork.

Is it true that Ethereum hard fork has been delayed? If yes then do we know a new date or block number?

Ethereum hardfork is delayed due to some security reason and now it will be at 7,280,000 block which will fall somewhere between 26 to 28 Feb. This is a good news as we do not want any flaw in Ethereum block chain.
This will also give investors more time to accumulate more coins before the hard fork.

There's no reason to accumulate coins before the hard fork. There is no coin split happening.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: January 16, 2019, 03:15:37 AM
I agree calling the fork and replace it with the proper term of 'upgrade'. It's true to be an upgrade for eth's network and usually what crypto folk will think of with 'forking' is that it will create a new coin. But at this moment, it's more of an upgrade so I think it's plausible.

And it's really unfortunate people think that with the term fork. Because, before all these shit coins were created from minority communities and scams, people still understood fork to mean what it was: a breaking change in the protocol (an update).

Now the "crypto community" has been crazy diluted with weak-handed muggles who are just here following hype...and can't seem to distinguish an upgrade from a contentious hard fork.  Cry
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: January 14, 2019, 06:58:50 PM
I think noobs don't understand this isn't a fork; it's a network upgrade.

If software app is changed so that it doesn't have backward compatibility it is called hard fork. So, Vitalik's ethereum is not a software app anymore. Well, what is it?

A change can be upgrade or downgrade. How do you know this particular change is not a network downgrade?

he asked a question and you asked him a question as well i wonder who is the noob? LOL

anyways the hard fork is a radical change to the protocol that makes previously invalid blocks/transactions valid (or vice-versa). This requires all nodes or users to upgrade to the latest version of the protocol software A softfork don't require any nodes to upgrade to maintain consensus since all blocks with the new softforked in rules also follow the old rules, therefore old clients accept them..
imagine you sending 10 million usd to overseas money actually isnt even transfered so fast as we think even paypal doesnt do money transfer this faster for even 5 usd... because everything works on credit and debt money being physical cant be send so fast you could actually travel to another country faster then your money gets to that country And this is not what we need for the future regardless of what you multiple X for the crypto prices because right now you are buying everything from FIAT money which is issued by goverment and slowly it will turn into cryptos that will have nodes from the goverment either way we will have things issued by govt but we will have inflation rate to less then 5% which happens 100% every 10 years..

This is well known. Others who are new to crypto all understand "fork" as something that means there will be 2 chains after some point, with new coins to claim somewhere.
Vitalik also proposed a terminology change to help make this concept easier for noobs: "network upgrade" means a fork that upgrades the protocol. Not contentious. "hard fork" or "fork" is a protocol change to indicate contention...meaning another client (allegedly) would be released to public.

short ethereum best deal because fork will destroy coin
fork is destroying eth that's why eth price is falling down frok is about to 4 days ago but price of eth is 125$ todays
in near fork price could go more down but there is another thing price could sudden up after fork.
i thought near fork price of eth will rise but i was wrong now i bought eth at upto 150$ and right now i am in going loss
just hope for price rise of eth after fork or at the time of fork
How can you not understand? Fork does not destroy the value of the coin and in no case the Ethereum coin. The entire market is controlled by manipulators, large players.

I think noobs don't understand this isn't a fork; it's a network upgrade.

Damn muggles...

You need to wait for the middle of January to find out just whether there will be a new update to Ethereum, or there will be a separation and the Constantinpole coin will appear

You are still among early adopters as with this upgrade with Constantinpole hard fork Ethereum is going have a new beginning. Don't look just at price but at the coming stuff and features which are totally new and fits quite saying new era is starting again. That is how I watch it now so each upgrade here will always be new beginnings one after other in future as well.

No, it's an upgrade, not a contentious fork. No one is expecting the chain to split.

YES! I agree with Vitalik; the terminology needs to be noob-friendly.

Ethereum Miner Linzhi Calls Out Project Coders for Proposed ASIC Ban

https://www.coindesk.com/ethereum-miner-linzhi-calls-out-project-coders-for-proposed-asic-ban
I don't know why but i will support this news. ASIC just like a plague to the whole of crypto. Bitcoin gold has become an example how worst it is.
Just waiting for that to be implemented and ASIC will die.

It just highlights one of the major weaknesses of PoW as a consensus model. There are certainly pros and cons to asics though.

Does someone know why John Carvalho would say that "Decred is an absolute joke". I respect him, and his views on Bitcoin. But I saw his comment on Twitter, and would like to know the legitimate reason why he believes that.

Is there bad history between him, and Decred, or its developers? Is it because he does not believe in on-chain governance?

Gembitz, do not bother trolling. You are in my ignore list.

No reasoned maximalist fits into your bill here. Monero is tolerable mostly because they actually make unique design decisions and provide some confidence for privacy value. Same for Grin, but I have a feeling Grin will be a dud or short-lived. Decred is an absolute joke.

He's covertly shilling Decred. Everyone knows it's the shit. Cheesy  Grin

A pretty interesting article from Coinswitch on 05 january :

"Ethereum Hard Fork Jan'19 | Know Everything About 3 Upcoming ETH Hard Forks"

https://coinswitch.co/news/ethereum-hard-fork-jan-19-know-everything-about-3-upcoming-eth-hard-forks

It is very good description of the upcoming upgrade. I might accumulate more ETH in the coming days.

That's a bad description.
Here's better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfg408lSAj0
It was made before EIP1283 was added to the fork as well tho, so it doesn't have info on that one.
