Hey, I tried to find the info in the available FAQ but didnt find anything, so i'm trying here.
What will happen to the (PoS) 'live ticket' currently owned when this vote end (440ish block away!!)?
Are they simply refunded?
The same as any other ticket called to vote: you get the vote ticket reward + original cost of the ticket. It wont all happen as soon as the voting period ends though.

I want to create new wallet in Paymetheus. After hitting continue when Paymetheus first starts, I get a popup saying "Connection could not be established with 127.0.0.1" Any suggestions?
You must click on "decred" and not on "paymetheus standalone" Ya I'm an idiot...noticed it a bit ago. Thanks for the help!

Using the cli, is there a way to get my seed for an account I own?
I'd like to start using the Paymetheus wallet. I've always used the CLI wallet so far, so how do I migrate those accounts/wallets to Paymetheus? If I choose the restore option, it asks for a seed. How can I get that seed through the CLI? Bump!If you lost your seed when you generated the wallet, it's no longer possible to recover it. You can move your coins to webwallet, create a paymetheus wallet from scratch, take a photo of the seed and store it in a safe place and then make a transfer of your coins to paym. You can also copy and paste the wallet.db file from the cli to paymetheus, but it isn't recommended to use a wallet that you no longer own the seed. Damn! Ya...I don't remember seeing a seed, but shit was a flurry that long ago. Ok, well thanks for the info. I've got a ton locked in tickets right now, so I guess I'll have to wait on those funds to be released before I can move them to new wallet. I want to create new wallet in Paymetheus. hello, i need an advice. I have some ETH , and 0.8 btc. do you think its better to sell my btc for ETH ? thanks for any answer lol that's the age-old question, isn't it!? Which one will perform better? Which will have better returns? Which will be #1 market cap in long term? Which will have "mass" adoption? ... ... Why's the sky blue? lol you are right, but i think eth will rise better than bitcoin (its a total noob idea ) No, not at all! Many believe Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin. I'm not sure about "overtaking", but I agree: Eth will likely be worth more than btc in the future.

Also looking to buy some but nowhere to buy with dollars or euro's?
Unfortunately, no Only entry (that I know of) is through BTC.

I have system with following components: i7 4790k 24gb ddr3 ram asrock z87 xtreme4 mobo 5 TB External HDD (USB3) (I can buy internal hdd if recommended) SSD 960GB
With this system I'm also using gpu mining. So I wonder if I can mine burst using hdd and other algos (using my gpus) at the same time.
Yes, you for sure can. It's what I do: -~50tb for Burst - i7 5930k for XMG - 1080ti + 980ti for DCR/FTC (while not gaming). With that 1 comp and well under 1k watts, I can diversify my earnings pretty well

Eth is going to run into the same scaling problems as Bitcoin and we've seen one ICO bring down the network this week. IOTA is the future boys.
This is precisely the problem being solved with next set of hf's to enable PoS and sharding. Only question is when it will finally get out of dev/test!

Hello I just start mining burst with 2x8TB HDD and blacko miner a few weeks ago. I start on burst.ninja but it whent down. Then I go to pool.burstcoin.de but It stop working like 2 days ago. And when I go to pool.burstcoin.de It redirect me to pool.burstcoin.uk. So I tryed to change the .conf with pool.burstcoin.uk. But always the same problem the miner wont start. So I think there is a problem with the pool. But I dont understand when I go to pool.burstcoin.uk website it show peapole mining on it. So what is the best pool with 2x8TB maybe better an EU pool ? I am really dissapointed about all this pool problem and I read that some pool creator are bad.
Let's see your .conf. Sounds like a common problem when the .conf isn't quite right for the pool you're trying to connect to.

The potential Ethereum is getting clearer to people! Just as Bitcoin stayed! There will come a time when Ethereum will not depend strictly on Bitcoin for value! What's not the case and what will happen if there is PoS?
Doesn't that worry you its unlimited supply and inflation may keep prices low? Or does no one care about that? After PoS implementation a 0.8 % - 1 % annual inflation rate will be introduced to ensure the validators incentive and low tx fees. That inflation would not even be enough to cover for the lost and burned coins, so sorry but your statement is completely wrong and ignorant. Even if there are no lost coins, 1% annual inflation is ridiculously low in any economic model if you know a thing or two about economics and currency. Therefore Ether will not be currency. Stable coins on Ethereum will be the currencies and ether will simply be the fuel to run the network. If everything runs smoothly (which I highly doubt by the way) those 200 $ per ether would seem like peanuts. There would be a huge squeeze on the price probably hitting crazy highs before people realize that you don't need expensive fuel in order for the system to work. At a certain point the price of ether will most probably be on par with the price of Bitcoin - that is before the second dotcom bubble which will be even bigger and history will remember it as The Great Crypto Bubble Burst of 2020. They have been talking about POS for a long time now and still nothing. Just talk. right now there is unlimited supply. They are just pumping out coins and then once POS price will crash. When does POS start? Please check out the Github (and other info sites:official forums, slack, etc.). Clearly, progress on PoS has been much more than "just talk". This is really the last place to be looking for updates on such info.

ETHc is the original ethereum. ETHf is the centralized pump and dump coin that has unlimited supply. ETHf is too expensive now to serve its original purpose to be the fuel for smart contracts. ETHc is the way to go for every smart contract platform!
This is only true from the viewpoint of an ETC fanboi.

I see a lot of Big whales talking about some flippening that would happen between eth and etc teaching eth level, is this a réal thing ?
Compared to eth, etc doesn't provide anything to the market. That's why all projects and ICOs are happening on the eth chain, not the etc chain.

Solo staking tip! I tried staking with the default config for the last couple weeks, but never got any tickets using the auto buyer. After some tuning, I did get it to start winning ticket auctions. Here's what I changed: ; the ticket prices swings up and down by 2 or 3 times, so the default 1.25 prevents you from bidding ticketbuyer.maxpricerelative=5
; when ticket prices are low, the fees are higher than the default config max ; so pick something higher than 0.1, but not much higher (0.2 is good but still often too low to win any auctions) ticketbuyer.maxfee=0.34478
; avoid buying tickets when the prices are too high ticketbuyer.maxpriceabsolute=50
There's alot more to consider, and I think the staking guide could use alot of improvement. I've only just gotten started so I'm sure others have better suggestions. Otherwise pool staking is more reliable at this point. Luckily this should get easier once the vote completes and the new stake difficulty is implemented. Ya I was thinking the same. New algo should eliminate those peaks and dips in difficulty, making the variance from period to period much less.
