How will you do that if you don't have any BTC? All you have is ETHf. All you can do is sell ETHf now at 0.051 and buy later at 0.031. You can lend some BTC on polo (0.01% rate isn't too bad). Just guard your margin with some more ETH. Maybe wait some more days with the BTC fork coming on 25th to see how things play out. That's what I'm going to try... Ready to hold the ETH till end of the year if needed. Till end of year?? That's not much time at all. If you really believe in Eth, I suggest considering much longer timelines...2-3 years. |

Is there any news about changing to proof of stake instead of PoW?
It started with the Byzantium update. Next in turn is Constantinople one; but the complete PoS change will not happen in less than ~1.5 years from now (at least this is the official info in etherium blog) And what do you mean by "started"? They made some early technical preparations for the change or is it something else? Metropolis update was broken into 2 distinct and separate hard forks. Byz was 1 of 2. Something like 9 EIPs were implemented. Const hf will be 2/2, completing the features/functionality outlined for Metropolis. Just google the subject and you'll find lots of info. |

seems that you are using the command line version of decred you could try the version with Decredition for a less challenging experience  anyway for the dcrctl a batch file is the solution, create a .txt past insied the code below and rename it to .bat Thank you! Decredition is much easier  But I have 2 more questions: Am I right that I need enough DCR to buy a whole ticket which is about 71 DCR right now? Which pool is recommendable? Did the price actually go up pre-fork because some thought they would get a new coin out of this? That would explain why price is going down now(no new coin), I mean the fork was a success so price should be rising.
No, anyone who follows Eth knew it was only a hard fork, not a chain split. Market price is volatile. It's not a perfect 1:1 correlation to how successful the tech is; certainly not within a timeframe of a couple days... |

Guys, based on your experience, how usual is to have a ticket vote less than 28 days? I've purchased my ticket 35 days ago, and of course no vote yet  Based on y luck it will vote around the 100 day mark ... ~1/2 your tickets will vote within 28 days. I've had both extremes: ticket votes within a couple days, and ticket votes after a few months. It truly is a lottery! |

It will go even lower. BCH and ETHf will go lower in 1:1 parity. This is the fate of forks - the BTC and ETH forks! With any luck, it will drop to Etc's price! I'd drop several btc if that were to happen.  |

Yup, that email clarified a lot of things. Do you think that eth can hold it's ground?
ETHf is overpriced. ETHc has better chance of doing that. And what makes you believe ETHcopy is superior? Because the reality shows otherwise, as we can clearly see... ETHc is superior because: it is cheaper fuel for smart contracts does the same job as ETHf will remain on sound ground when ETHf transitions to POS Bad arguments all around: - fuel price is dynamic, and adjusts according to load. In any case, fuel price can be manually set in the popular wallets. Besides, this is a moot point, as Etc doesn't have nearly the same transaction volume on its chain as Eth does. You can't compare apples and oranges
- "does the same job"....yet 0 projects have been successfully funded on the Etc chain. I'm not sure what "job" Etc is doing well so far (that Ethereum isn't).
- POS enables mass scaling. Can you point to a roadmap/EIP for Etc's scaling solution?

That guy already resolved his issue a couple pages back I think. But no, you cannot "overwrite" transactions. That's called a double-spend, and is a common attack vector that's well guarded against. |
