This year from ETH you can wait and above 1k $

That is too optismistic. I think between $500 to 800.

I hope so it will move to $1k nobody was expecting this kind of growth in very short of period now everything is possible with Ethereum.

Eh, by that logic $1m is around the corner. Nah, I think 500-800 is much more realistic for the next ~12 months. Especially considering the Ethereum economy at the moment...

Ahahah, ETH will crash hard, when ICO explosion ends. And when all past ICO will dump their ETH) So i think now ETH price is little high, than it must be.

Agree , bubble ICO will hit hard to ethereum . But after crash in a few years I think it comeback and go to 1000$
ICOs will hit ETH community hard even harder in middle term, as Crowdsale platforms with careful ICO selection are emerging, they will draw the most promising ones, shitty ones will exploit ETH contracts even more extensively.
Unless, ETH Alliance will launch its own similar ICO QA service, it's a very straightforward for them, indeed, ETH platform has everything needed already.
My bet is in 5 years, ETH and its rivalry will send BTC to neverhood.

Yup. I don't think EF should be worrying about quality of ICOs though. Let them just work on Ethereum. Other professionals can lend experience and time to "proofing" new ICO projects. In fact, this is already happening with Cofound.it, the same guys behind ICONOMI. So far, they've been quite successful.

Wink Sorry for stupid question. If I want to invest on HDD to mining Burst at this time. Does it late? Any future or equip return after done volume of Bust mined. How long Burst will be mining done?
Thanks  Grin  Grin

it's never too late because if burst goes to 60000 sat, you can speed up your roi!!!
to get some forecast about your ROI DATE, plz check here:
http://burstcoin.biz/calculator
good luck!

That's a terrible argument for investing in Burst. Sorry to "burst" your bubble, but Burst will never hit 60k sats. The supply is simply wayyy too high, and the only "locking" mechanism for supply is through the AE (which even this is flimsy, as people can "unlock" their funds instantly if they wanted). Don't get me wrong, I've been mining Burst since nearly genesis block, and fully expect it to appreciate in value. But you need to be realistic, especially when talking to someone new to the project.

Good reasons to invest (btw):
  • Very low entry costs
  • Very low ongoing expenses (nearly free in terms of electricity)
  • Mature chain and community
  • Integrated Asset Exchange provides on-chain opportunity for investments/projects

There's still ~10 years I think before Burst blocks won't pay a block reward.  Cool

Wanted to buy yesterday but my funds are stuck on poloniex

What's your opinion on the price action?

It's only going to go up. Now that voting is solidly in place, more and more people will realize that not only do DCR hodlers get to trustlessly and irrevocably vote on the future of the chain, but they get paid (and well compared to pretty much everything else with this low level of risk) to do it! I have >90% of my DCR locked in PoS, and every month I'm happier and happier about that.  Cool

Russian President Vladimir Putin Discusses Using Ethereum with Vitalik Buterin
At the 2017 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin. Putin also spoke about Russia’s economic reform and the digital economy, while the central bank discussed bitcoin’s taxation and its own digital currency.
Source

Being on economic forum where the prime minister of biggest Nation Idia with highest cryptocurrency potential is present as well many big companies, but having only the meeting with putin, dictator fo a country with GDP less than Cryptocurrency market capitalisation, is simply evidence of Buterin's incapacity to convince anybody serious that ETH is useful for their real business.

Criminal regime of russia is trying to hide their money from US and EU sanctions and ETH and many ICO last time are the way they found - anonymity and uncontrollable.

If ETH's hope based on durty money from russia and china, then one need to think twice before supporting such a durty coin.

You're taking away more than is there. The point wasn't to try and "sell" the coin for government use.

What path does Paymetheus store the blockchain at on Windows?

user\appdata\local\dcrd\data\mainnet

Shit...the contents of that folder is quite different than from
Code:
\AppData\Local\Dcrd\data\mainnet

Paymetheus is taking forever to sync. Is there somewhere I can download the blockchain and then paste it over to Paymetheus path?

try to close the wallet, delete data folder and restart.

This will download a new blockchain and synchronize.
If you realize that it's stucked, just restart

Fixed and already up to date. Thanks!

Bancor ICO unveils new problems with the Ethereum network

http://blockchaind.net/bancor-ico-unveils-new-problems-ethereum-network/

somebody know why Pos should help eth netowork scalability?

The PoS implementation being worked on isn't the simple PoS that's been seen before. It will include the idea of sharding, which EF researchers believe will make for infinite scalability.

Is that more difficult to do than the conventional PoS?

Well, have a read, then you tell me Cheesy

Yea I got a response from team-burst.us
Individual drives will be faster than Raid 0 as the miners are multithreaded and can read both drives simultaneously.

i can confim this
i'm mining burst with 8 thread each one disk...
i reach 450Mb/sec and more...
this is the right way.
No RAIC conf could be better.

Ya, I peak ~850mb/s with 12 threads/13 disks. Can't wait for those 18 core i9's to be released Cheesy

Bancor ICO unveils new problems with the Ethereum network

http://blockchaind.net/bancor-ico-unveils-new-problems-ethereum-network/

Absolutely misleading title. None of those issues were "new", nor were they specific to only the Ethereum network. Any network that suddenly sees 10x+ normal transaction volume in such a space is going to hiccup. We all know what's been happening to btc lately. And people buying more shares than they should because of sending the payment multiple times...I mean, that's not an issue with Ethereum network. That's an issue with the investor. fomo

worth read

I was wrong about Ethereum

https://medium.com/@WhalePanda/i-was-wrong-about-ethereum-804c9a906d36

......Supply: the tokens that are available on the market, right? But with every ICO there are more tokens that are being “locked up”. Obviously the projects will liquidate some, to get fiat to pay for development of their project, but they also see the rising price of Ethereum. So at that point greed takes over and they think, totally understandable, “We should probably just cash out what we really need and keep the rest in ETH, that’s only going up anyway it seems.”
And obviously there are new coins being mined, but if you look at the amount of ETH these ICOs raise, at this point, it’s just a drop in a bucket.

Demand: You have the normal investors (who are already very late to the game at this point… as usual), but the buy pressure that these ICOs are creating is crazy and scary. Take TenX for example, it’s an upcoming ICO at the end of the month. The cap is 200,000 ETH (at current ETH price of $370) that’s $74,000,000 for a startup. Here’s the best part: it’s only 51% of the tokens. Effectively giving it an instant $150 million valuation (if it sells out, which it probably will).
Another example is Bancor, a friend of mine runs a trading group, he collected 1,100+ BTC to put into Bancor. This needs to be converted into ETH before the sale starts. These are decent size players, but not even the big whales who participate in these ICOs........

Meh, can't say I agree with his analysis.  It's quite narrow-minded (to be expected from someone with his background), and doesn't accurately describe smart contracts.

Usually there's no problem mining with different card types. No u can't crossfire different types of cards, but for mining, why would u want to crossfire?

For using different cards in my rig I don't have to use crossfire??  what I have to do then??  do u have a guide for me??

lots of guides out there. Just google it. Sounds like you need to do some research before you go blowing thousands on building something you don't understand fully.

is it possible to continue plotting once i stopped plotting for now? plotting takes a long time, i wonder if it is possible so my computer can take a rest after some time and continue plotting. thank you for your answers

Unless you have issues with overheating or some such...why would you need to let your computer "take a rest"? I promise you, it doesn't get tired of working and no one is checking to make sure it got lunch break lol.  Cheesy

But yes, if you're using Xplotter to plot with (cpu plotter), you can close the program and resume plotting as long as you know what the last nonce it created.

Reason behind this recent increase may be few upcoming crowdfunding campaign which will be kicked off over the next few days. It really doesn't matter what is the reason important thing is Ethereum is gaining more and more from market and growing fast than one could imagine. How many projects are in pipeline based on Ethereum for the rest of the year to help it become more valuable.

Do you have a tipp where I can find all these Crowdfunding Campaigns in a "table" together?

Thanks
