61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔷🔷 [ANN] 🔷🔷 ITO of RICH TOKEN on Waves Platform (Initial Token Offering) on: October 17, 2017, 10:30:24 PM

Your project has nothing to do with this one basically...

That's what your 'team' wrote him, that was a quote.

And I don't see reason for cooperation, why should we lift a dead project of another team?  Roll Eyes

BOAT needs it's own strategy, just put your energy in your project is my advice.  Cool

i think you misunderstand, i'm merely talking cooperation in the naming of our various projects and that's in everyone's best interest, best to avoid confusions so you're traders don't trade ours by accident....etc etc

it already appears most your crew be in favor of your coin changing its name slightly....which would work for everyone.

Pirates!

Can be honest about the current situation, I've created the website (beta 1.0). I am trying to contribute as good as I can.

http://doubloonboat.com

- Created a fund for twitter campaign
- Created a fund for Bitcointalk signature campaign

But I have to wait for a green light of the dev and the namechange probably before I am able to continue promoting, HARRRR!

The 11th of October the dev published this message in the Condensate (RAIN) Slack channel.

"Hello,

Can you please change the name of your project to BOAT or something other than Doubloon? We're getting ready to re-announce Doubloon soon and have multiple whitepapers associated with it.

http://docdro.id/GYEk2YB

As you can see our reddit has been online for 4 years now. We're only waiting your project name change on Bitcointalk and coinmarketcap so that we can reannounce the project.

https://www.reddit.com/r/doubloon/

Thanks
"

The namechange that was requested months ago apparently  is still necessary, personally I don't mind a namechange, it's a matter of being decisive.  Smiley

I am able to put a lot of energy and effort in this project to help the dev. The namechange needs to be implemented first.

The ticker would stay BOAT, I suggested:

- Treasure (BOAT)
- Sail (BOAT)

And others within the community:
- Boat (BOAT) by Ethereuming
- Galleon (BOAT) by Kiddo
- Booty (BOAT) by Blackmint

Perhaps a poll?

i am somewhat confused as to what "dev" wrote you "We're getting ready to re-announce Doubloon soon and have multiple whitepapers associated with it."?

i'm part of the team reviving Doubloons DBL (the original Doubloons), not against you guys at BOAT i think we all can work together and whats best for all communities is to avoid confusion Smiley

curious as to what dev wrote the above, don't think it was us at Dbl and hoping there isn't a 3rd Doubloons coin  Huh
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] [SXAS] Saske ICO on: October 17, 2017, 09:08:45 AM
ICO price seems to be very inconsistent with price on the waves platform  Huh
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES | Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform | unofficial supporters topic on: October 17, 2017, 03:33:27 AM
the other curious thing (wrote about it in another thread), am i correct in thinking anyone can create a token in waves including using the same name as already existing token in waves platform  Huh  seems a recipe for disaster/fraud no?

For sure you can, it happens all the time.

But it won't be verified, so the name won't show up in DEX when you search for trading pairs.

how do they get verified?

I still didn't understand what you have to do to buy yourself an alias for your Waves address, and how you could use it then exactly.

Creating an alias is quite easy.
In your Waves Lite client, click on the "user profile" button, it's next to the "log out" button in the upper right corner.

Once you create one or more aliases, you can then receive coins on your alias instead of your Waves address.

To send me Waves or Waves tokens, you can send them to "turing" instead of "3P874i7zwUFWBhkMGpGxv4t5gGgrqWg5pkK".

i created the alias "kelsey" (waves 3PPkuMoPH83mhHPv52VdpJXxW74RsTxHppe) yet when i try and get anything sent to kelsey it says not a valid waves addy  Huh

Did you try to send from another Waves Lite wallet? Or from an exchange?

I don't think exchanges have implemented aliases yet, they expect a "valid waves address".

ok yeah i was just using the faucets and exchanges to test send........

I'll pass if you guys are going to keep pumping out multiple coins.
why not manage one first!
pumps coin after coin out while the first die and doesn't have them listed on any real exchanges, and non of the decent exchanges list multi coin devs.
Agree. Dev swore that there will be only 2 coins, now it's 4 already.

coins are community managed, i only do airdrop.
if you guys want coins listed on real exchanges, somebody will get it done.
I guess we should promote and develop all the coins now by ourselves? This is stupid.

it's a free coin, don't participate if you don't want, does not cost you anything.

it does cost those of us who were willing to take time and support your early coins., run things to support those coins.

also what about the people that actually bought your first coins on that pseudo exchange, pumping out coin after coin will turn their investment into trash.

I'm not here to please or make anyone rich.  All there is, is a free airdrop, and I thank for anyone supporting the coin.

In regards to price, or buying the coin, that is all up to the community, and not under my control.

Once airdrop is complete, the community has the control, not me.

well you're kicking people in the teeth that wanted to support your early coins, why keep pumping out coins if you don't want them supported?

so u want the community to run the coins after you make them? whats the point in that any bozo can create a coin, that is the easy part.

Question of the day:
How do you deal with people who try really hard, but might not be "Elite". I have trouble with rejecting people, any advice from individuals with hiring/supervisory experience?

Does everyone you hire have to be elite? I mean alot of people who try really hard and are not elite, just need more time, then maybe they'll surprise you  Wink

79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PoS] BitcoinStake - 100% Free Airdrop Distribution on: October 13, 2017, 07:31:01 AM
The coin has really little movement, I guess that I am one buying and selling his own cosin to get it to move ... maybe a couple of others, but like this BCS is just wasted time

Well what can one do with a 10day old free coin? Would take a lot of development and use cases for it to really take off.

for ita value it needs to trade ... meaning it needs us to waste money on it.
For it to turn into a useful coin, it needs a true plan and deployment strategy. Or this will turn into another zombie coin. Same for LCS.

if people want to dump the coin, let them.  it's not a get rich quick scheme to make a quick buck, just cause of airdrops.

the whole point is to hold and stake.

the uses for the coin will come.  don't expect the sky within 1 week.

Just a reminder, you only get the airdrop once.

always will be those newbies who dump for free money once a airdrop is any non zero amount. if the dev team keeps with this coin over time should be worth the patience of those who hold and stake.

though i'm not a fan of coinsmarket (the exchange) staking the coins, they do it all in one wallet that could end badly, plus its always good to have those who want to send to exchanges miss out on staking.........people holding is what supports the network and keeps it stable.....kinda the who point of p2p currency.

was runtime error ever fixed in the windows client?

The only problem of the current wallet version is that the wallet makes an incorrect request to the bittrex exchange, trying to get the DGC price. But DGC is absent on the bittrex, so the wallet applications stops with an error.

All you need to do to get it to work, is put a "127.0.0.1  bittrex.com" into the hosts file.

thanks
