801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin LTC soon at $0 on: October 29, 2015, 01:46:46 AM
Yes, Litecoin future is not bright due to many popular altcoins in the market  Wink

i'd say the opposite is true, the more alts on the market the less likely one could get the userbase to overtake litecoin.

lol LTC has more chance of longterm survival then BTC  Grin

803  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: October 25, 2015, 12:23:31 AM
I suspect some people posting in this thread are less interested in Cryptsy's possible malfeasance than they are in shilling for another altexchange. For shame!

no i think most users in this thread are simply frustrated with the many issues they've had dealing with cryptsy, and tis all got alot worse of late.

nothing wrong with people suggesting alternatives, many were only using cryptsy as it was the only place to dump shitcoins.

Bittrex i'm not a fan at all of their delisting practices ie supports serial coin creators and burns newbies etc

Cryptopia has very low vol but picking up, its trollbox is way more friendly and less pump n dump scaming then other crypto trollbox, this good social environment could lead to it growing. devs on the exchange seem to have a better scamcoin filter then most which is a big positive. Not issues at all so far with using it, platform/withdraws/deposits all work great.

805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have we lost our way ? on: October 15, 2015, 04:54:00 AM

@kelsey
fair enough but Satoshi never power dumped on us all crashing the price into the dirt.. and he could have (if he even still had those coins)
and i can name some examples where this did happen (in the Altcoin scene)
having Satoshi sit on that many coins and NOT dumping them when BTC was over $1,000 a coin shows confidence.

or greed, consider he envisaged btc as a global player, i'd say bailing at $1k would be selling too low. whats the one thing people with ridiculous amounts of money normally want? more money Shocked

The Cryprocurrency Game is not a solution for any actual problem...
Bitcoin or Alts are not a "solution" for anyone with some credit cards and a PayPal account.

Fair distributed Cryptocurrency is a solution to massive fiat worldwide scam. The most important thing about Bitcoin is the way it is issued.

yes satoshi showed us how we can avoid the greedy bankers taking the billions cut but ummm himself taking billions cut  Huh
808  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Australia Says Bitcoin is Money – Japan says Bitcoin can’t be owned on: October 11, 2015, 12:06:19 PM
We need one unified, global bitcoin law.

no we need bitcoin to be borderless, p2p and indifferent to gov laws or it'll be just become paypal 2.0.
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GoldCoin™ (GLD) Thread - The Gold Standard of Digital Currency [OFFICIAL THREAD] on: October 11, 2015, 09:56:13 AM
whens this coin going to be put on other exchanges?

We actually stay in contact with:

https://c-cex.com/
https://bleutrade.com
https://yobit.net/

I am not sure about this coingather exchange but they already listed Goldcoin:

https://www.coingather.com/exchange/GLD/BTC

contacting exchanges is hardly an effective way to get on, and tbh would you even want to be on the likes of c-cex? which i think gldcoin already top the voting at one stage recently to get on?

you could try for cryptopia a low volume but up an coming place with a ton of potential, tis becoming a major social crypto hangout, and doesn't accept icos and other varieties of scamcoins.

if you put a decent community effort into being social in the chat there you could have a chance to topping the voting.

i've never been a fan of listing on too many exchanges but equally its dangerous just being listed on one.

and microguy is right you have big issues with gldcoin liquidity that needs to be addressed.

810  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is the new bitcoin forum any good? on: October 11, 2015, 08:32:30 AM
I understand their dislike of censorship, but will you stick with bitcointalk - or go to the new forum?  https://forum.bitcoin.com/  Do you think they can get critical mass there?

sounds like just by a dude who was a gavincoin fanboi and couldn't deal with it being called an alt Smiley  pretty said they got bitcoin.com to use for their alt coin actually.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Federal Investigations of Cryptsy Underway on: October 09, 2015, 02:22:57 AM
Amazing four days later and the only source for this story is Coinfire.

~BCX~

equally though there is only a blog rebuttal by the accused that you somehow clam makes the story "completely debunked"  Huh

anyway I did my own proper checks (we do all the time in securites on companies eg before acquisitions etc while we have a paid service I'm sure theres freebies on the net for such searches), anyway Paul Verns actually talking the truth, there is no current investigation by any of the agencies listed in this article (though that doesn't completely rule out an exceedlying unlikely secret investigation, however Paul Vern would himself not know about this and therefore would still be stating the truth).

unsurprisingly from the records we look at its not from people lack of trying to get cryptsy in trouble, however no agencies has been interested in following up any claims false or otherwise.

My educated (in this field) guess would be, someone is suspicious of cryptsy borrowing or similar from uses funds, and trying to cause a run on them to expose this  Shocked and from examining resent uses withdraw issues including my own ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173703.msg12638883#msg12638883), well make your own independant judgement.

now BCX you claim "I have had nothing but excellence across hundreds of trades at Cryptsy." however be honest, have you yourself actually be able to withdraw any significant btc or ltc (say 1k+ ltc worth) since this article was published?

812  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: October 09, 2015, 12:40:51 AM
I certainly understand the OPs frustration as the same thing is now happening to me (though I have a slightly better understanding of whats going on)

1) Passwords;

Cryptsy password system at this time is very dodgy. My own password has not been accepted on many occasion, even a password reset the password sent often doesn't work, I've even had the sent password work to get me logged in then that same passoword be "password invalid" when going directly into the system to change their generated password to my own. Same thing happened to my partners account while trying to sort their loggin issues for them (and i've has plenty of private chats with individuals that the same thing has occured for)

Summary CRYPTSY your password system is playing up, Fix It (and you may get alot less user complaints).

2) Withdraw issues;

Something I am also currently experiencing with Litecoin that I've been trying to get out for a week and have been mucked around alot by various cryptsy staff over. With many and varied excuses.

Excuses;

1. Hotwallet needs filling your withdraw will be processed soon. next day still hot wallet needs filling your withdraw will be processed soon.

2. (blame the user time) You reset your password which put a block on all withdraws for 24hrs, we'll lift that block now for you and process your order. Now I reset my password well after I'd not recieved my Litecoin withdraw, and I reset it due to my existing password not working [see 1) passwords].

still litecoin withdraw pending Sad

3. Wallet issues wallet staff are getting onto it and your withdraw will be processed soon.

still litecoin withdraw pending.

4. bitcoin malleability (with links)  Shocked......jaw dropped, now you're just screwing with my head, like where to even begin with this one; Gox 2.0? ummm the fact that my withdraw is actually litecoin  Huh, if bitcoin malleability is an issue for your exchange should you even be running one?

5. Your account has been flagged by our AML team  Shocked now this is happening to alot of people on cryptsy recently, and why; because cryptsy's new withdraw fee structure users are being forced with only 3 free withdraws (before ridiculous fees are imposed) to withdraw as much as they can with these free ones. So in effect cryptsy setting users up to being flagged then they block there account Sad

Yes told directly all withdraws of my account had been blocked and there was nothing Horus (ummm Head of Anti-Fraud and Investigations at Project Investors Inc) could do about it it was flagged by crytpsy AML Huh team (don't get me started here, i'll keep this one too myself for now) and is out of their hands........moments later I successfully withdrew 200k ftc  Huh from a supposed AML flagged, password changed (yet again) just moments ago account....but yeah still no luck trying with the HINT more valuable LTC Wink (do the math)

Currently still trying to get my coins out and this mess sorted even tried ringing cryptsy/Big V but phone rings out and even to leave a message is impossible as mailbox is full (smells like a dodgy token phone number), I'm message Big V to get a real number to him if there is further reasons my funds can't be returned to me.

also watching tons of people entering chat (which I'm banned from for politely [only to avoid such a ban] just trying to get this sorted live rather then then tickets back and forward for months, from previous experience. more then happy to chat live/phone with big v or similar), having similar issues and being slowly put through my points 1........etc which is a tad concerning. while the pump n dump crews and crytpsy fanboi drown them out or (like myself) outright attack.

Thanks for listening well I hope cryptsy is too  Wink

816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptsy withdrawl and pw issues ? on: October 06, 2015, 10:04:07 AM
Yes. Never happened to me before. Managed to fix password issue by doing the following:

- clear cache and cookies
- use the "forgot my password" link
- when you get the new password in your mail and log in, you can change back to your old password

except as they tell me resetting your password freezes any withdraws for 24hrs, even went as far a blaming my reset of password (despite doing it 24hrs after submitting my withdraw) on not recieving my ltc withdraw.

had to get it unlocked to allow my ltc withdraw, now again pw doesn't work have to wait til i recieve my ltc before i reset or they'll freeze that again and have me in the loop forever.
