A very unfortunate fight for Almeida. He did his job well in the 1st, but got careless with that clumsy takedown attempt in the 2nd. You don't often see people getting KO'ed from that position, but yet, those short hammer fists of Blaydes turned out to be powerful enough to finish the fight.
That's a shame because Almeida had a good momentum in his career and was on the rise. If he had won, it's highly probable that he would get a shot at the interim belt (which shouldn't be a thing, but hey).
Now Blaydes will probably get to fight Aspinall simply because there are no better options unless Gane steps up to the challenge. None of those fights will be a good option for Tom, but that's better than wasting your prime years waiting for Jon Jones.
It was really unfortunate that Almeida needed to lose like this and that Curtis Blaydes really is one solid fighter that he can not takedown I guess it is because Jailton Almeida doesn't have a combination strike or his striking was really worse and so Blaydes was ready for his takedowns because all Almeida can do was the takedowns he was really looking forward in taking down Blaydes that is the time when Curtis Blaydes really know this kind of strategy and if Almeida only has 1 pattern of attack or that is his only option of attack then he can never become champion in this division. Judging how good Aspinall is and that he got a ton of moves to get into Almeida and all Aspinall needs to do is just defend those takedowns then that is not good at all, Jailton Almeida needs to improve his striking. One month left until UFC 300 and Tsarukyan vs Oliveira fight, and Charles recently posted in Instagram, that he has got a cut.  I hope that does not interfere and wont influence on his performance, or the fight got cancelled (previously, Olivera got eye cut in 2 weeks before fight against Makhachev and the fight got cancelled). Btw, he is an underdog in a fight against Tsarukyan. Let's just hope that the fight will not get canceled as this is a great chance to see Arman Tsarukyan fighting a high-caliber fighter and if he gets defeated by Oliveira then he is not fit to move forward, while Charles Oliveira on the other hand needs to win in this fight if he wants to Challenge the Champion Islam Makhachev again, or maybe this is just getting money fights here on. |

That is exactly what makes things so entertaining when he gets posterized as well. I mean if you posterize someone like lets say Kevin Love, specially at this age, when he literally has grays in his hair, and was never a great blocker or anything, then would that made any news? Of course not, that's normal and you could posterize him and just move on, that would be just an ordinary possession and nobody would even think about it twice.
But, if you posterize a 7'5 centre who has been leading the league in blocking at his rookie season, which is something I can't think when was the last time a rookie did that, then it is a lot better for the views, it only makes the news when you posterize someone like that. That's actually good for Wemby, shows that he is actually not thought as someone who can be posterized, so people make it a news when it happens.
We all know the feeling of posterizing someone who is out of his league, especially an aging Kevin Love, and all know about this and it is a common thing and it is really disheartening to try and posterize a player like Kevin Love but in the heat of the game they need to do it, but posterizing somebody like a 7.5 unicorn that is something to brag about and if that 7.5 is a rising star and the number 1 pick right now.
You're asking too many questions and making things more complicated than what it really is. There are times when players take their foot off the pedal or relax a bit since they were tired after making some runs. They turn cold as a result but that is also the same time when the other teams starts getting hot and keeps making shots. The momentum suddenly shifts. It happens in a lot of sports.

Boring main event. Both looked like non-championship fighters. I wonder how long Dana White protects this Pink Poodle from Dvalishvili. Cejudo was already taken care of. Long time champion Aljamain Sterling should've been given an immediate rematch but surprisingly his mind changed and is now moving up in weight, probably convinced or paid by Dana.
Great wins by Maddalena and Poirier but heart-breaking losses by Gilbert and Saint-Denis. Damn, Gilbert should've stayed it safe but he has a heart of a warrior and risked his position in the last seconds of the final round. Saint-Denis was a bit reckless there and was finally caught hard.
MVP's debut was another uneventful one. He is already 37 years old though but I do not see him getting better or goes near the top rankings if he continues fighting.
It was really a boring fight I know that Marlon Vera has a tendency for boring fights in the 1st rounds he is a slow starter, while O'Malley was fighting safely in this fight just like what Adesanya was doing striking in the nick of time when he has gotten a chance but I think Marlon Vera also did a great job in withstanding those knee punches of O'Malley but still, the striking output of O'Malley was really shown on the damage on Vera's face. Jack Della Maddalena and Dustin Poirier have gotten their fights won and it was shown that these two can still keep it intact as they have shown what they are capable of, Jack Della Maddalena has timing his knee that went into a ground and pound, while Dustin Poirier has shown his fast boxing pace against Benoit Saint-Denis and it was a master class indeed.
I lost all of my picks it was frustrating I know it was a risk to make a bet for Marlon Vera Sean O'Malley VS Marlon Vera - I really thought that Marlon Vera would win again, but Sean O'Malley has become very cautious in this fight and has to fight safely and that was the key component why he always caught Marlon Vera because of his long reach it was really a boring fight it was like watching Adesanya fight but a Izzy that is white and has pink hair. Kevin Holland VS Michael Page - In this fight, Michael Page was roughly on the advantage Holland was having a difficult time taking Page on the ground he was really frustrated about it while every time he clinches on Page, Page will likely stop the takedown and will get on with a couple of strikes, the fact that Page's defense was always down Holland didn't take this advantage but nope he just let Venom Page go on his way. Curtis Blaydes VS Jailton Almeida - In this fight, I am very disappointed with how Jailton Almeida carried on with this he just knew 2 strikes and that was it if the takedown was not successful he doesn't have any option and he is predictable when getting into a takedown position that was the time when Curtis Blaydes will strike him and that was it Curtis Blaydes huge body and takedown defense have prevailed in this fight. |

Sean O'Malley VS Marlon Vera
Right now it is a great opportunity for Chito Vera to become champion, but the odds were for Sean O'Malley with 1.38 for Sean O'Malley and 3.10 for Marlon Vera it was like that 1st win for Marlon Vera was just a fluke, but we have seen the back of the knee kick wobbled O'Malley but it was really not considered as a loss by O'Malley and he really insists that it was a fluke for me Chito Vera is a very dangerous striker but this could end up with a decision as Sean O'Malley will be pretty much going to fight Chito with caution, as what has happened to their 1st fight but for sure I am seeing a ground game this time as both is training their wrestling if that happens Sean O'Malley will be on the advantage as he got good to reach that he can extend to grapple but for me, I think Marlon Vera will be really for this as my pick is Marlon Chito Vera.
Kevin Holland VS Michael Page
In this fight, Kevin Holland lost to Jack Della Maddalena and it was a split match as he had a hard time against Della Maddalena with the odds of 1.75 for Kevin Holland and 2.09 for Michael "Venom" Page this will be a fight against a striker versus a wrestler we all know that Kevin Holland is well rounded but Venom got the power to one strike Holland so Holland just got to be careful with that but I think Kevin Holland doesn't really need to take down and wrestle Page I think his striking is enough his counter and strike output is fast and for sure a great striker than Page so for this fight my pick is Kevin Holland.
Curtis Blaydes VS Jailton Almeida
For this fight, the odds are 2.02 for Curtis Blaydes and 1.80 for Jailton Almeida and this is a fight of a striker against a wrestler For me, Curtis Blaydes is an underrated striker but for me, he is pretty much good at what he does, while Jailton Almeida is not that good and doesn't have a great strike output but his BJJ is quite good at what he does but for me, this will be a hard time for Blaydes as Jailton Almeida is good at that and he can takedown Curtis Blaydes for sure so my pick is Jailton Almeida and it could be a ground and pound or a submission win.

Results for Yesterday's game I was really frustrated with the result but at least I got 1 I will eventually get a bounce next game.
Detroit Pistons VS Brooklyn Nets - 1st quarter was for the Detroit Pistons but in the 2nd quarter the Brooklyn Nets gut a good momentum to turn the table on them, but still the Detroit Pistons become the winner it was a close match with both teams not really backing down, it was Loonie Walker IV and Dennis Schroders effort that the game was close enough but still the Detroit Pistons somehow got this game a win for them, with Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey was the one that let the Pistons make a win and losing this pick.
Indiana Pacers VS Minnesota Timberwolves - The Timberwolves are so fierce with this game but still the Indiana Pacers didn't allow the Minnesota Timberwolves to likely dominate them it was a very close match with Tyrese Haliburton making plays and Pascal Siakam was cutting the lead of the Timberwolves but still a close game without Karl Anthony Towns but Anthony Edwards was a monster in this team for sure.
Dallas Mavericks VS Miami Heat - Terry Rozier was really cultivating some slick moves while Jimmy Butler was not that active, the 1st half was for the Miami Heat with Rozier lead but the 2nd half was not really for the Heat it was Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving's tandem that they lead the Mavericks in winning against the Miami Heat.

We have a Joshua VS Ngannou fight right now and I think I will make some predictions later in the Boxing community thread we also got a Zhilei Zhang VS Joseph Parker rematch and this time it will be the real deal for sure, and Rey Vargas fight and this could be his win this time. EDIT:Jailton Vs Tom would be a decent fight, Almeida could finally test Tom's ground game.
Although there were some rumours going around that Brock Lesnar was interested in returning to UFC to fight Tom, but that's probably not true.

Thanks for sharing. Yeah, I've seen some footage of O'Malley's grappling training and he's not a novice.
We like to assume that if someone is great in striking, then they must suck on the ground, but the times you could get to the top of UFC ranks by being good only on one level are long gone. O'Malley wouldn't be so dominant in his stand-up game if he didn't have high confidence in his takedown defence and ground game.
I didn't know that Sean O'Malley has a kind of knowledge with BBJ, but it is not at the level of the likes of Charles Oliveira, or the Dagestan fighters but it is still impressive I really think he is hiding this and will be using this when the time comes but against Chito Vera I really like Chito but with O'Malley getting a rear naked choke on Chito that will be dangerous for Vera here are some latest video training for Suga Sean O'Malley. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8m4b9l7LQ3QAs for the odds, I think Almeida could be a good bet, currently, he's only a slight favourite against Blaydes but I'd give him at least 70% chances.

Curtis Blaydes VS Jailton Almeida could be a great fight and you are right that Jailton Almeida will be a dangerous opponent for Blaydes, for sure that wrestling will be an interesting counter for Blaydes, and while I think Almeida will be on an advantage in this fight but if Blayes could have increased his ground game that will be a fun thing to watch for this fight. There are a lot of indiscipline star players that have not lasted their career in the NBA, but LeBron, you'll never hear news that he came partying and making some noise on social media. Instead, he focuses on helping people, building gyms and schools for the kids, so that alone shows how matured he is and kind in thinking of a way to give back to the community.
LeBron may not become a GOAT in the NBA as he always has a lot of haters, but we can't argue that he'll always be remembered as one of the greats once he retires. You see, LeBron is already 39 years old, but if you look at his last 10 seasons in the NBA, his PPG average has never dropped to 25 below.
We can all agree to that, We don't see Lebron James do such suspicious things in his life because he is not showing it publicly if you are a well-known person, and 1 negative trait that the media would tell about him will surely ruin that, and even though he has done some charity works in his life and even if he seems so matured in his entire career that doesn't mean that he will gain the Goat status and even though he got a tons of Haters because it will be determine on his achievements in the sports that he loves, But I agree that he will be remembered as one of the legends in the sports with that many records in his reputation but the all-time greats still belong to his airness Michael Jordan. In my defense I said what “may” be the western conference finals matchup. I’d agree that the Timberwolves have just as good or better of a shot to make it. The underdog odds on the Lakers make me think it's worth a shot after watching OKC yesterday, throw their comfortable lead against the Suns who didn't have Booker. I like the extra value even though they're more likely to disappoint due to their terrible ATS record.  It should be that the Los Angeles Clippers win in this game because Giannis Antotekoumpo wasn't with the Bucks but because of Damian Lillard's beast performance it was a great comeback for the Milwaukee Bucks in the 4th quarter of the game, well, it was expected for Lillard playing like this but against a team that has James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George. The Los Angeles Lakers won against the Thunders led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, as it was really a close match, and even if the Los Angeles Lakers had 20 turnovers they still managed to win against the Oklahoma City Thunders that just had 10 turnovers, it was the free throw deficit that once again the Los Angeles Lakers have the Lakers have 18/25 free throws given while the Thunders just have 15/16 but the percentage of success for the Thunders is huge because they only miss 1 Free Throw, but still it was a good bet if you make one for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Personally I am interested to see how these two fighters will perform in the UFC fight night. I think Mokaev is going to have a better fight and a better chance to win this fight compared to his opponent Alex Perez. Remember Alex Perez has already lost 7 fights in his career. So Mokaev, if he does his research correctly should have a lot of weak points about his opponent. Odds for Mokaev is 1.25, not very imressive but not bad at all. Umar Nurmagomedov is also a really good fighter. I think there is no chance that Bekzat could be able take the win away from him. In this fight bookie are not giving any chance to bettors to take away the profit  , they offering odds for Umar Nurmagomedov 1.07 in 1x2 bet? lol Yup! I also like those 2 fights actually I have made a bet and all of it won, it was a superb win for both Dagestani, however, Umar Nurmaggomedov almost got knockout in round 1 with that Pierce temple shot by Bekzat Almakhan, sure that punch was really powerful for Nurmagomedov to wobble like that if it's not for his grappling prowess he would likely lose this one but yeah Umar Nurmagomedov was brilliant with his ground game as he dominated all other rounds.

Come on guys, there is no need to make theories and speculate a lot about Zuckerberg in Volks corner. It was done mostly for media purpose. Everyone even loves Bitcoin including politicians and Donald Trump, it's just about the profits that can be made, the taxes that will continue to be paid from crypto users. Trump will support what can make him have the most advantages. As for how in the past Trump said that Bitcoin would be a scam, that might change now with the growing development of Bitcoin making him pro towards Bitcoin. He also hopes for support from crypto users to vote for him and that is another goal behind positive words about Bitcoin.
Well there might be something about the change of heart for Trump and I think it is more on the political view side, but there could certainly be a side where he can surely learn about it and many are considering a new Currency, and we all know that Bitcoin back then was called the Currency of the masses, as the transaction doesn't require tax but a certain fee for the miners, and as you have said he will support it if he will gain certain advantageous things regarding Cryptocurrency.

^ The making event isn't really that good but there are good match ups peppered in the event. Basharat vs Zahabi, Alvarez vs Klein, Schnell vs Erceg, Nurmagumedov is back, Mokaev vs Perez and Petrino vs Pedro will be a total banger. UFC is not popular in my country, it has never been. In my country, Judo, Wrestling and Rugby are very popular. Bayern Munich's overall performance is poor. I don't want to blame Harry Kane. We have seen great performances from Harry Kane since the start of the season. Kane even scored two goals in the last match against Leipzig. Kane scored 27 goals and 5 assists in 23 matches in the Bundesliga. Scored 4 goals and 3 assists in 7 Champions League matches.
The main reason for Bayern Munich's erratic performance is their match strategy. Bayern Munich have a strong squad. But the condition of this team is not good because of the match strategy. Munich won a big 7-0 home match against Bochum. But it was against this team that Munich lost 3-2 in the away match. If the match strategy was better, Munich's performance would have been more consistent.
Bayern Munich can not blame Harry Kane, I have seen that Kane is making progress in his game the problem was Thomas Tuchel doesn't want to be in Bayern Munich anymore, and the other players were now not in the mood to get into the game well it must be because they are not confident anymore in winning, and this is absurd if they are blaming Harry Kane while the coach is literally doesn't want to win the championship anymore he has given up in the Bundesliga run for the Championship. Very disappointed that Dortmund has lost there game against Hoffenheim at home after they was leading , damn.
Also Frankfurt was playing again a draw about Hoffenheim , that 2 games destroyed my bets.
At least the bet on Bayern Munich against Leipzig was right and Harry Kane scored again.
Right now I don't have any confidence in Dortmund after they have sold most of their players including Jude Bellingham the performance of Dortmund is not the same anymore, even if they have Sebastien Haller but right now if the injury list was updated Haller right now is injured with an ankle injury, Felix Nmecha, and Donyell Malen are injured if the list is updated then Dortmund surely has a problem with just having limited players. |
