601  Economy / Economics / Re: WHO encourages use of digital payments due to COVID19 on: March 10, 2020, 06:55:47 PM
Corona Virus has been a big issue that disturbed everyone not only in China for months. But this outbreak never stopped and it continues to spread in the different country putting everyone in fear. With the huge number of cases, central banks had to quarantine their banknotes just to lessen the possibility of spreading the virus.

If you're curious, you can see the previous thread I started regarding South Korea quarantining and even burning their cash

February 15, lenders in China were asked by their government to disinfect their money for 14 days. Federal Reserve also trying to set aside US dollars from Asia for 7-10 days before including it in circulation. Also, the Bank of England advises its people to wash their hands after handling money because it can hold bacteria and viruses.

With this outbreak, a spokesperson of WHO said that “people should use contactless [payment] technology where possible.”

It's obvious why he suggested it to prevent having contact with money that a lot of people had previously own. This brings a chance for cryptocurrency to be recognized by the government. Suggesting less physical transactions means that cryptocurrency can help with that. To avoid having contact with different people, we can use cryptocurrency for transactions that we don't have to touch any paper money or even have close contact with the people we're having a transaction with.

Those countries with a higher number of cases of the virus should try looking at this opportunity because even with a small part, it can help them and their people to keep themselves safe. Countries like China and Korea who have a great number of cases can adapt to these changes easily because they are a developed country. Instead of continuously putting their bills on quarantine, they can lessen the work if they would be willing to adopt it. Recently, Korea had legalized cryptocurrency which makes it easier for them to adopt it.

I have been never been bug by the virus not until today when suddenly our country has confirmed 35 cases total, mix Chineese and local citizen, some are panicking already since this could also mean that the contact to contact is real and it could already gone too far. For now we cannot feel the tension because the numbers are small, sooner or later when it would be more than hundreds and counting then the country will be in a statee of calamity again, just recently it is because of a Volcanic eruption. If I were to ask- I would change all my money to crypto just to make sure that my valuable assets are safe.

603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bangladesh has a significant amount of Bitcoin trader on: March 09, 2020, 11:59:41 PM
I only know Bangladesh because of the clothes, every time I buy branded clothes like Tees it's made from their country. Every country has significant amount of traders, the places that I can't picture out having one are North Korea, North Pole, and remote Islands which has greater population but choose to live a normal way. I read one country doesn't what to use machines and use their only bare hands to plant and grow and never had engage in technology. Here in our country trading still exist, but the traditional one, food to food, they trade their fish to some crops and goes on- but it only happens once in a week, isn't it nice.
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters and Investors, Who values Cryptocurrencies More? on: March 09, 2020, 09:15:51 PM
Lol the answer is clear, we all know that bounty hunters only want to dump and make quit bucks and investors want to make profits too but they can hold longer than bounty hunters, to say the truth they both want the same thing,

Not all of them man, there are few out there who really listens to what the project says and believe in them even if it makes them wait for how many years to succeed. i a bunch of them, their bounty hunters and do not like the concept of dumping their hard earned tokens, they keep it for good even if it loses it's value.
605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After Facebook, Telegram, KakaoTalk- LINE is coming in crypto! on: March 09, 2020, 07:43:10 PM
Social Network giant LINE is coming in crypto with their own coin, the ticker will be LINK (LN)! Line coin will be trading on Bitmax exchange in April 2020. This is really a great news and now I assume all the giant social network will have their own coin like the Reddit coin, VK coin and so on. So, do you see a crypto adoption because of these? Lave your comment, guys.

I am hoping for the video industry like Netflix, Youtube and other to their own too. If they are going to leave this aside, surely there will be a project who will surpass them and it'll be too late for them to know they are left behind. It's nice seeing blockchain spreads in all different a=parts of the industries.
606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano's is a rockstar in future. on: March 08, 2020, 10:22:22 PM
I bought this coin way back 2017 and still I am hoping for it to bloom until now. I am looking forward to seeing cardano make it's name on the Headlines again. But recently I was discourage when their main telegram was unavailable.
607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of good marketing on: March 08, 2020, 03:12:16 PM
Now it seems the marketing strategies of some crypto projects lack passion and dedication, they use random guys to do the job and somewhat fails because the guy isn't capable of doing the best possible ways to enhance the marketing plans of the project. After consecutive failures and the funds raised are nearing to it's ends, they planned on leaving the community and just go separate ways. I have seen on telegram groups that they were promising at first but when things go bad they just leave like nothing happened.
608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin become a safe haven for corona virus economic impact? on: March 08, 2020, 10:39:31 AM
At the moment BTC is holding its ground and I believe if things get really bad with corona virus BTC has a real chance for mass adoption. If corona virus gets really bad there will be leave without pay, global recession etc!

It can of course, lets say would you touch a money knowing it is infected by the virus? No right? Another way to transact is to use crypto as you will only use your mobile phone, and you smart phone is something that you don't want someone else to be touched, especially to people whore have transferable disease(airborne) or something similar. In this kind of scenario crypto is essential, money is dirty and goes to one hand physically to another. Economy can be saved and their money will be either higher in price (crpto currencies) or the opposite, if bitcoin crashes.
609  Economy / Economics / Re: Good news for bitcoin from India, should other countries also follow the suit? on: March 07, 2020, 05:35:47 PM
In 2018, banking regulatory body in India issued a circular to the Indian banking and financial institutes to ban any trading in cryptocurrencies. The India's crypto-association moved to the court against this decision. As the case reached to the apex court of India, the verdict was eagerly awaited by both parties. Today the apex court has overturned the circular which banned crypto-trading. It stated that the decision from banking regulators was unconstitutional. This news will have a much needed positive effect to the Indian crypto-market. Respected companies which were active in trading are slowly resuming their services.

I personally think this should be considered as a ground-breaking decision which not only decriminalized crypto-trading but also gave much needed legal status to the crypto-currencies in India.
Do you think other countries should have similar approach to the crypto?

This is on the right place at the right time I guess. It is needed at the moment, as you can see in some news and some social media sites where information is given freely, there is a problem in India right now important than trading crypto. Muslims are being punished for just being Muslims, I know this isn't new because in other parts like Burma, rohingya and in Palestine, Syria and some other countries too. If they retaliate in India and things gets messy, people will leave the country and economy will surely fall, leaving crypto being an option to save their money, add the NCOV being scattered all over the world. I am wondering if this is all plotted and some shady people are behind this.
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need of the hour on: March 07, 2020, 04:41:31 PM
Rather create new but existing project concept, we just have to support the old ones as there are already many users. It is understandable if the project that will be created is unique, but you have said it already that there are thousands and most of them have the same concept. If only those unique investors did change their minds and just go for the main and top coins, it would be easy for the price to jump, but what is happening is that new investors put their money on new projects and their money will just be cashed out by the team and did not even knew that they have secretly ran and gone.
611  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Location of Bitcoin ATMs in the Philippines [will update from time to time] on: March 05, 2020, 04:03:29 PM
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum be taking 1st place in 2020? on: March 05, 2020, 03:19:46 PM
Anything can happen, especially in this kind of investment where volatility is high. If somehow Bitcoin goes down, most of the alts would too, but if the people don't cash out their money and just convert it to Ethereum or other alts, then that is one way there is to be in the 1st rank, but only only eth, xrp is a good candidatee too.
613  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin Is Not a Viable Currency Option.q on: March 05, 2020, 12:58:48 PM
Bitcoin has a long way to go before it can become
viable, efficient, independent, and widely accepted. It
has major technological hurdles, and its acceptance in
society is currently limited at best. In its present state,
the bitcoin system is controlled by a few major mining
companies (it is too costly for individuals), traded through
a few major platforms (finding other bitcoin users without
a meeting place is difficult), and held in wallets provided
by various companies (holding your own key and ledger

It has come a long way, and I think it serves most of it's purpose and will continue to. It is only a matter of time before acceptance is at mass, only we have the advantage here so be grateful that we are already know what it is, unless you don't actually have Bitcoins in your portfolio. If you have a hard time buying bitcoins and do not want to engage in big exchanges, this forum has trusted escrows and will surely serve you at their best.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAMMIT, I missed another profit opportunity!!! on: March 04, 2020, 11:50:30 PM
I bought more Litecoin at $61 a few weeks ago, then watched its price rise to the low 80s.

Then everyone started shitting themselves over this Corona Virus bullshit, so the price retreated to $60 again.  If I'd been able to predict the future I'd have sold at $80 and bought back in at $60, but I didn't.

So I lost some profits.  Farq.

That's absolutely normal on all of us, if everybody who bought coins can see that future than who would lose? It happens. We can only predict but it's right all the time. I had so many experience this and in so many different coins, I bet most of us here, so chill.

616  Economy / Economics / Re: The Impact of Corona Virus Disrupts the Crypto Industry in China. on: March 04, 2020, 03:35:52 PM
The impact is not only in china but in the whole world. Just look how the virus is destroying the economy of different countries all around the globe. Recently I saw a post that Saudi Arabia has now banned visitors from different corners of the earth and even from their own land. The cities 2 holy cities for Muslims are locked and cannot be entered at the moment for the purpose of stopping the NCOV from spreading. Picture the businesses of people living in there, hotels and tourist spots. Also it creates disruptions and just in our country they are spreading news, fakes news that there are people dying because of the virus but mostly are false alarms and just foreigners that are drunk and slept on the streets.
617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KEY YOUR PRIVATE KEYS OUT OF DEX on: March 03, 2020, 11:33:48 PM
I have a better idea, for Dexes, use another Wallet, not your main wallet, that way even if you unlock it with your private key, there is no harm stealing your major cryptos which are in your main wallet that is not linked to Dexes.
That's what i do, i also stick to famous Dexes only, any exchanges that i don't know i don't even bother trading in, as simple as that.

This is the one that I am using, I have been hacked once and it really sucks. Now I have learned my lessons and never to go back to being an ignorant trader again. OP is right, there are new DEX that are popping, I do love to trade there because aside from KYC free, the experience is limitless.
618  Economy / Economics / Re: Unfair aspects of KYC. But KYP is here on: March 03, 2020, 10:57:01 PM
So there should be another type of agency that will validate their KYP, in that case we could assume their identities are legit and are not fakes. I have seen so many projects that shows their team members and advisors but are fakes and some are somewhat doubtful. If there will be a third party who could that be? Government agencies or we justify them base on our own?
619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Worthy Airdrops on: March 03, 2020, 08:27:27 PM
Here are few good airdrops presently running
1. Basic Attention Token  10$ + referral
2. KickEX  0.70$ + referral
3. Electra Coin  0.92$ plus referral
4. Bazooka Token  0.79$ + referral

Rewards too low? Yea I get it, if you can refer many friends it will worth something, it's airdrop, rewards aren't going to be big and we aren't in bullrun season yet, if you are interested go to airdropbob.com

I thought it was a new token that was being told to be worthy airdrops, referrals seems legit in exchanges but in some cases it is hard to get one. Most of the users here don't sign up on your code. I had never referred people more than 5 in my entire life in crypto. Also another thing is some airdrops requires you to KYC so it is most likely impossible. I like the kind of airdrops that's just need your eth address and some retweets or repost.
620  Economy / Economics / Re: Amazon to accept bitcoin payments directly... the real breakthrough!? on: March 02, 2020, 11:56:38 PM
Hi All,

I'm new here but I'm not new here if you know what I mean. Everything has come along way from how I remember it six to seven years ago when I first found discovered it. This is my first post so just walk with me on this one. A couple of days ago I had a dream that you could pay for everything on Amazon with bitcoin. Crazy I know... but then I thought wait that isn't that crazy.

So I started doing some research. I found a company which developed a browser extension to support payments on amazon with bitcoins (Not sure if its against the rules to post the company so I wont)... I'm sure there is a demand for it as I've seen the trade volume on a well known p2p exchange using Amazon gift cards. I say all of that to say this, what do you think that would do to the value?

Surely this would be the moment which would solidify mass adoption of the currency?

Just a few crazy thoughts going through my mind... whats your opinion  Huh

It would give bitcoin price a boost maybe. I never really tried purchasing on amazon because of I fear that maybe my item won't get shipped to my country. Another thing is that I don't have viable payment methods like Visa, or MasterCards, Banks accounts. So if this breaks through and somehow they would accept Bitcoin payments directly, maybe my fears would go away and would try to purchase items using Bitcoin. There are a lot of people that wanna buy things out there but don't have the means like me. As of now I am purchasing in an online shop with Bitcoins (country based), but the items are limited unlike amazon which is vast.
