601  Economy / Reputation / Re: Royse777 will not pay anyone for the last week /Sinbad campaign/ on: November 30, 2023, 02:05:17 PM
Read the US Treasury Department press release: Treasury Sanctions Mixer Used by the DPRK to Launder Stolen Virtual Currency which was released on 29th Nov and escrow address of the campaign will be under the investigation radar of officials so do you expect to face a felony charges for few bucks?

If I were a participant I choose not to get involved with the company anyway further, lucky me I wasn't part of it so neither were you so what you are concerned about?
602  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Mempool is congested, use ViaBTC free accelerator. on: November 29, 2023, 06:07:28 PM
I don't have enough money to pay the fees on viabtc... the only money I have is the BTC that's pending Sad I need it really bad please help me...

95fbf6da860e75ff47a1096583771001e3498702a818b72d4a25024d07ca5181

But your transaction is not eligible to be accelerated via viabtc free quota since it doesn't meet this criterion of "The fee should not be less than 10 bytes (around 19 bytes for native segwit)".

Also, the cash app seems to be rebroadcasting your TX with the same fees which explains why nodes didn't drop your TX even after three weeks.

Anyway, let's hope the congestion will be cleared and your TX will be processed.
603  Other / Archival / Re: Wearing Bitcoin Clothing in Public on: November 29, 2023, 04:18:21 PM
Honestly, I haven't yet but generally I like myself wearing T-shirts with Logos/characters of movies, cartoons, and quotes too so I don't think it is going to harm me in any way. I guess I need to find one soon that fits me. Cool

Also, I am not against keeping your relationship with Bitcoin Lowkey which all depends on our personal choices and that is the idea behind Bitcoin itself, it's your money and use it in the way you want, and eliminate the intermediates.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: November 27, 2023, 04:51:45 PM

Rich people can afford to gamble so they have chances of making more bets so they have the probability of winning more too but is such bullshit logic though cause money making skills, in general, has no effect in the results of a bet so thinking that rich people only make money in gambling shows such a delusional mindset of you.
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Many Bets to Know How Good Enough You Are? on: November 26, 2023, 09:27:44 PM
As a gambler, how many bets do you think  you need to place to give you a true idea of how good you are? Anyone can hit 60% in the short term. But for example in betting I am hitting between 55-60% depending on the sport after around 450 - 500 bets. Assuming I want to go pro on betting, do you think that this is good enough or do I wait and see what my percentage is after 800 - 900 bets before making a decision?

Theoretically, I would say any amount of bet is never enough to say whether you are ready to hit that 50-60% winning spot because the result relies on a particular day.

But practically, if you are hitting that range even after 400 bets then you are already a pro, and over time you will learn new things and it will help to evolve your betting strategies. But just as someone who simply wants to enjoy sports betting irrespective of having the intention of becoming a pro sports bettor just the odds and results decide my winning which I consider as my fate or destiny.
606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy with unusual/strange gambling sites on: November 26, 2023, 07:02:42 PM
I would never trust my money with unfamiliar sites whether its even one dollar because never feed the scammers which is what they take it for granted and keep doing it.

But I do have experience with strange gambling sites so-called fantasy sports which I personally feel is unusual because we don't really know how the points, leaderboards, and things like that are calculated, or at least without complete transparency still I had the urge to try it and tried few times too but didn't make any money at all even though I had a decent score but that is what the game is about and its spreading like a wildfire especially in fiat-based online casino apps.
607  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A lesson from other people's mistake can go a long way on: November 26, 2023, 05:20:04 PM
Learning from your own mistakes makes you a wise person and learning from others' mistakes makes you a smart person so combining both indeed increases the chances of being successful.

Few tips to stay away from scammers/hackers:

  • Never invest your money with a project/scheme that is true good to be true
  • Always check and ensure that you entered the right address in the recipient box because there are high chances that devices may infected with clipboard malware which replaces the destination address to the hacker's wallet instead of what you copied
  • Store cryptos only in the open-sourced, non-custodial wallet.
  • Never accept unconfirmed TX as payments.
  • Stay vigilant and avoid doing p2p trades with random users.

609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Country To Live In For Crypto Casinos?# on: November 25, 2023, 07:41:54 PM
Hi all!

Ive noticed recently that more and more crypto sites are requesting KYC, and more and more restricted jurisdictions are being added to said sites Ts and Cs. This is a problem for a lot of people on this forum who like to gamble anonymously, and, perhaps use sites that are "blocked" in their home countries.

My question then is, which are the best countries that can access these sites without issues, and pass all KYC checks? I'd love to hear your opinions!

The answer to this question depends on which crypto casino you choose to play and what gambling license they hold.

So first find a casino that you want to gamble,

Then go to the terms and conditions section where you will see a list like this

Banned Regions:

Aruba, Austria, Belgium, Bonaire, Curaçao, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, Australia, UK, Spain, Saba, Slovakia, Slovenia, Statia, St Martin, USA, or any other jurisdiction that the Central Government of Curaçao (formerly the Netherlands Antilles)

https://duelbits.com/tos

Followed by restricted regions if there are any.

Every casino today is asking KYC, there is no way you can escape it

Currently, i don't really know any gambling sites that don't require KYC,

Please read OP again before commenting on it.

610  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Idea: Ledger as seed generator? on: November 25, 2023, 05:56:45 PM
A seed made with Electrum didn't work on Ledger. Electrum has its own standard. That's why.

So you are going to keep using the ledger as your wallet, because I thought it was only going to be used for seed generation then import the seed into some other wallet because you/we agree Ledger is no more to be trusted for storing cryptos.

Am I confusing, what you are trying to say? Roll Eyes
611  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Idea: Ledger as seed generator? on: November 25, 2023, 05:38:29 PM
And now the idea: why don't just use Ledger (only!) as seed generator?
I mean: reset Ledger as a new device, write down the new seed, reset it again (because it's unsafe), and I'm done.
Is it anything I've missed? Is this also unsafe for a reason I've missed?

Not a bad idea though, and since we reset after creating the seed there is nothing to worry about. So if you guys have a ledger then make use of it like that instead of just throwing it away.

But I don't see any difference at all between a seed created in a way like you said and in an offline electrum wallet or any other wallet, which means the Ledger is obsolete here and we don't need it anyway for random generation of our seeds.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot games are a waste of time and money (most of the time) on: November 25, 2023, 03:47:51 PM
We as individuals, never ever think that you can make money out of nothing.

Free spins, bonuses, cashback, and whatever are designed to benefit the system and you may get something in return. I bet you enjoyed all your bets until you lost that $55 right? So what's the point then, you enjoyed it but unfortunately the luck was not on your side.
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRC20 or BEP20? on: November 25, 2023, 01:59:36 PM
Hello,
I want to buy $150 USDT and send it to an address. Is TRC20 cheaper or BEP20?

Thank you.

The transaction fee of USDT on the TRC network is $0.95.

The transaction fee of USDT on the BEP20 network is $0.3.

Transaction fee is different from withdrawal fee and when you said you want to buy then probably it is from centralized exchange where withdrawal fee of each coin is different from one to another platform.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most gamblers do not believe they can consistently make money, that's why... on: November 24, 2023, 08:29:03 PM
The idea here is that, you could be successful in gambling but there's always a tendency for you to lose; which makes gambling, a "gamble" of your luck. You have to do things 'right' if you want to succeed in this industry. Things won't happen in an instance and easily. Problem is that people are assuming of an instant jackpot which makes them greedy and frustrated of their way in this industry.
Technically true but practically close to impossible that is what I am trying to say. Possibly it's my opinion that I will not pick a career that is purely based on luck and probability because it puts my future in danger.

People who lost their lives in gambling stories are literally higher than people who changed their lives from gambling winning which is a known fact but it doesn't mean we should avoid gambling completely, just accept what it could be and bet your money with the least expectations then only we can enjoy the happiness when we hit some rewards.
615  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It can be totally avoided on: November 24, 2023, 06:29:24 PM

First time I hear that Playstore also allow scammers to launch app in their store. I was thinking that all apps in the Playstore are first checked by play protect team and then only save apps are allowed because we say above every app that it is protected by play protects.

Anyone can develop and upload applications in Play Store and it is pretty simple but the app will be available for download only if it's approved by the Play Store reviewing team to be honest the reviewing unit is not 100% secure and most of the time the uploaded application after it receives too many reports about the app or if it violates the google privacy policies.

And we can't blame them either, because on average 4K apps get listed every day on the play store so imagine how many applications they will receive, so the responsibility is in our hands and as you said by looking at the number of downloads and reading the reviews from users will give an idea about the app.
616  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Enjoy low transaction fee by using ViaBTC free accelerator. on: November 24, 2023, 04:54:44 PM
ViaBTC accelerator services will require payment for their services, so it's not free. Yeah, it's not worthwhile unless your amount is small or if you're tight on cash. For example, if I have a substantial withdrawal, let's say $4k, they might demand almost $500 or even more, which is very high. However, when the amount is low, perhaps below $100, the fee becomes lower.

ViaBTC does offer 100 TXs to be accelerated for free of cost if the size of the TX is below 500bytes and the fee is over 10kb/byte but you can't find a spot in the 100 per hour when the network is congested.

And the fee for acceleration is based on the size of the transaction not based on the value as far as I know and its not really a portion like you said.

For example, look at this below,

617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most gamblers do not believe they can consistently make money, that's why... on: November 24, 2023, 01:37:20 PM
Sports betting is distinct because it involves real players in actual play; it doesn't rely on an algorithm like a game designed and created by a casino. Therefore, when you have skills, you should avoid games that are solely reliant on luck.
Sports betting requires skills as well as luck, to be honest, you can make shit tons of money only if the underdog beat a champion side or what you call the odds. I mean you need to bet on a team with an odd of 5.69 playing against a team with an odd of 1.21 in a sport it won't happen every day and when that happens you need to bet on that underdog which all comes to the point of luck.
618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most gamblers do not believe they can consistently make money, that's why... on: November 24, 2023, 07:38:56 AM
Personally, I firmly believe that there are people who have achieved real success in gambling. What perplexes me is why many discourage gambling as a means of making money.

Now, let's hear your opinion. In 3...2...1... go!

Your suggestion is that people can go underwater for 30 minutes straight with no equipment, yes it's possible and done by one or two individuals it doesn't mean it's an ideal situation for everyone that rule is what applies here too. You can make money in gambling which is true but making money from gambling consistently isn't possible or least from my personal experience.

I won't suggest anyone to to start gambling if they are looking for a way to make money.
619  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: World wide fee estimation getting wacky? on: November 23, 2023, 09:19:25 PM
But with more node and pool support full-RBF, you could just perform full-RBF rather than using one of these acceleration service.
Look at the Viabtc transaction accelerator fee structure to push a TX and it doesn't make sense at all now with the full RBF implementations on nodes.

Binance Pool BTC Transaction Accelerator is relatively cheaper compared to ViaBtc but it's way more expensive than paying the actual fee even at the highly congested network status.

Also, I came across Turn non-RBF transaction to RBF enabled? thread and how to do it step by step which may be useful in case if someone used a wallet that doesn't have an RBF-enabled wallet and now can import it on Electrum and rebroadcast it with a higher fee.
620  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Problema sending from Binance to Electrum over Lightning on: November 23, 2023, 07:01:30 PM
Tryed to send BTC over Lightning from Binance to Electrum.

How to Use the Bitcoin Lightning Network to Deposit and Withdraw BTC on Binance

Electrum Lightning Network walkthrough

Check out this article and go through the process.

In Electrum make sure the channel is open and connected to the node. I assume your issue is with the invoice or the inbound capacity of your channel.
