601  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Purse.io - Bitcoin Amazon Marketplace - Save ~10-25% on Amazon Wishlist on: May 10, 2016, 06:30:37 PM
Not sure if this was answered earlier but,  what is PurseInstant?

I have used it for all of my purchases.   Do these purchases get put onto their open market and simply get snapped up quick due to he lower discount?

I have made a few large purchase >2 BTC and they seem to take forever to go through.  Weeks sometime.  I was under the impression that PurseInstant was... INSTANT.

Thanks,

SMILY

It is filled and bought by purse as a company directly. Not by the buyers. So you have no waiting time. Works for the us market only.

With the normal buyers you could get higher discounts but depending on the height of discount you have to wait some time.
602  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: May 10, 2016, 06:28:28 PM
I dont think so that it will happen and that is because there are now still a lot of people that dont even know what Bitcoin is and how it works and that is the problem.
But maybe it will be also more worth and that many people are going to use it but you never know.

I experience that more and more of the people that I meet know what bitcoins are. And they are positive and open about it. Some really surprise me like the relatively old man that tells me that he told his capital manager to invest in bitcoins too. Cheesy
603  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchaim deducted $100 fee for $112 transaction on: May 10, 2016, 06:26:51 PM
OP, the transaction was included in a block mined by BTCC pool. Whoever sent the transaction should contact them if he wants the money back.

They sometime refund fat finger mistakes. But in this case, this was the correct fee. He tried to send coins that were just two minutes old, with just one confirmation. Of course the fee will be huge. You need to let your coins age, and only send old coins.

Where did you get that from? That's not true. The fee that is needed additionally because of the age is so small that it never could amount to this fee. Not possible.

It might be possible that he had a huge amount of small inputs. So that the transaction was huge at the end. The bigger the higher the price then.
604  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think that MONEY is imprortant thing for life? on: May 10, 2016, 06:24:18 PM
Yes, because with money you can have everything you need in life. we our working to earn money to sustain our needs and to have a comfortable life.

Not really. You can't buy love. I mean real love. Not those ticks that get feelings for someone only because he has money. Woman that you can buy that way will not be what will make you happy. Woman that will stay with you even when you have not much money but still do what you can and there is a plan in place to make a better future... those women are the ones to keep. You can be very sure that they love you and not something you have.

Yes I agree.. you cant buy genuine love with money.. what im trying to imply is money is an instrument to make you happy. Because with it you can buy your needs for a living.

Yes for sure it can make you happy to some extent. The most important part for me is that it can make you free. Free to chose what you want to do, where you want to be, when you want to do something and frees you from neccessities that you don't want to do.

Though of course... people that earned that money are able to force themselfes to do what they think is needed. It's a pity though if they go too far then and work their whole life more than they would have to instead spending time with the ones that love them.

606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Put some Respeck On Craig Wright's name on: May 10, 2016, 06:19:45 PM
Sure... a newbie claiming that we are wrong in being sceptic... man, this it bitcoin world. We learned it the hard way to be sceptic. And no, there is no proof yet. So you are nothing more than a believer.

Believe what you wish... and yes, I am a believer. I gain more from building people up, praising them and making them feel good/better about themselves - because that makes me feel better.

You get back everything you put out. In fact, you get it back tenfold.

So, no. I'm not a "skeptic...." If I were, I wouldn't be involved with digital currencies at all. There is nothing cool about being skeptical... all that does is shut of the creative capacity of your brain, which slows your development as a human being. Therefore literally making you sub-human.

Tearing people down, insulting people... making a nuisance of myself... jumping on the bandwagon... following the sheeple... is all completely ridiculous and void of any logic whatsoever. I mean, I'm really going to sit infront of my computer and type a bunch of hateful/snideful remarks and comments against some individual that I've never met before? Is this what people use technology for?

If you're going to sit infront of your computer for more than 1 hour a day, then please let it be because you're building something innovative and adding to the plight of furthering the advancement of humanity.

Tearing people down is so counter productive, and produces nothing tangible in reward

2016 should be the year that trolling becomes obsolete and just some illogical, embarrasing, and "never to be talked about again" trait of human history, that we purged ourselves of via evolution. It is such a bore to witness... people really should evaluate themselves if that is how they're spending/wasting the gift of life. Trolling people they have never met, will never meet, and know nothing about.

You should be using the internet to build connections with people, not to behave in ways that you wouldn't in a person to person / face to face setting. We should all embrace adulthood and leave this kind of behavior in the past.

No one here knows Craig Wright personally. So any assumption made here, can and will never be rooted in fact. So any conclusion that anyone comes to can only be rooted in ignorance. No matter which side of the fence you're on.

If I'm going to be ignorant, then I'd rather my version of ignorance have bundles of positivity, good energy, and respect for humanity attached to it - rather than the opposite. Causing offence and propagating ridicule isn't cool. It isn't classy and the truth is no one would enjoy having this kind of tarnishing directed an them - so why do it to others?

I'm not sure what you speak about. You believing in the future of bitcoin is worth something instead believing in some person claiming to be satoshi without any need to do that. Without a reason to come out now. Nothing. Pure senseless.

I really really wish you a huge portion of scepticism. Most bitcoiners that are in this since years had to learn this the hard way. With real huge monetary losses. Don't be gullible.

Regarding feeling better. It's fine when you search your luck in praising other people. And you would not even want proof. Again... what happens when you meet a charismatic sect leader? Would you jump in because it would make you happy to praise him?

So you think Iam a sheep? Well no... I informed myself. He did not proof anything. In fact it would have been VERY easy for him. He chose to not proof it. And if you would have been in the community since some years then you would know that this is an absolute sure sign that he can't proof it. He is not satoshi. And the surroundings don't make sense either. So no, I'm not a sheep. I informed myself. And don't dare to claim I'm trolling. I could say the same of you but I won't.

I'm fine with you building connections. Though in fact I would be aware to keep connections with someone I think is an impostor or would do strange things to stand in the spotlight. What good should come out of it for me?

Well, everything you wrote sounds like you would be an easy victim for all kind of persons and schemes. I hope that is not the case and only a wrong impression. Because it would be hard for you.

Yeah, that person must feel like shit now. Though I guess many others that failed with the wrong investments are similar. Unfortunately I speak out of experience.  Roll Eyes
608  Other / Off-topic / Re: Honesty is the best policy ??? on: May 10, 2016, 06:02:56 PM
Do you think that honesty is a best policy in every field?

No. If you want to survive, you need a big amount of honesty, a small number of lies and the ability to find out the amount of honesty is needed for certain situation.

That's great... though in fact lying is saying something you know is wrong. In most scenarious you can speak around lying. Well, in case you are the business man with others depending on you that would not be advisable. Honesty is key there to keep your trust.
609  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Moving Forward/Resolution Process on: May 10, 2016, 06:00:39 PM
I can confirm that after some trouble I managed to get back 6.175% of the amount lost (10 XBT).

Not a great consolation but better than nothing.
I also remember that someone reported he was unable to withdraw anything. I was constantly updating a thread with all the available info about weexchange and Ukyo's case and I remember a lot of details. If my mind serves me, people arrived late were those with the most difficulties.

And I also remember that SebastianJu was a bit too naive, believing until the end to the good faith of Ukyo. (I don't mean to be rude, I just envy your optimism Wink

It's partly optimism, which is something hard to fight for and partly knowledge about how to reach your target. In fact it worked as far as I know more than most investors, probably only a handful of people know as much. Unfortunately I see the case as lost now.
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Espers [ESP] | Selling | Buying thread on: May 10, 2016, 05:57:57 PM
sell my ESP 173.000.000  for 0.28BTC Please offer on PW

I was asked to provide escrow service for this trade.

Of course when someone other wants escrow service too then ask me...

tell us how it went.

What do you mean? As long as I don't miss a certain risk with that coin then the workflow would be simple and save. I give an escrow addres to seller and buyer, buyer sends the bitcoins to us and the esper address to receive the espers on. Then when the espers come in with confirmations then I would release the bitcoins to the seller.

Any problem I miss that might be specific to this coin too?
611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF the NSA wanted to take control over Bitcoin, how would they do it? on: May 10, 2016, 05:55:13 PM
NSA or any other agency won't gain anything by destroying Bitcoin because it's not a threat to the national security of any country right now and I don't think it will be any time soon. Plus Bitcoin is open-source right? So any tampering with the source code or placing backdoors would be easily noticed wouldn't it?

The NSA works for the interest of the USA. Which means theoretically the USA would need the control over their money because controlling it gives power over the economy.

If someone would take this out of their hands then be sure that they would fight really hard.
612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF the NSA wanted to take control over Bitcoin, how would they do it? on: May 09, 2016, 09:38:39 PM
Well, in their view it is not a big enough threat to attack and spend millions on gaining a majority of the hashing power.  Once it is determined to be a threat it will be too large for them to buy their way in to control.  Plus the second they gain control is when all of the money floods out of Bitcoin and in to a different crypto.  That is the beauty of it, we are not forced in to using the currency so attacking it results in wasted money as the users move out of Bitcoin and in to a different crypto-currency.

The agencies would have an interest to make bitcoin big. They can use it for their own operations if needed and they can follow the trail of the money. Since everyone know that, for example the nsa, controls the internet traffic of whole countries. So it would be not really hard to fight terrorism and similar things like that.

Well, pushing in bad code that is not found might be another nice gimmick but so far I think it was not successfull. Too many observe things closely.

614  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HOW MUCH YOU EARN/LOSE FROM TRADING on: May 09, 2016, 07:01:08 PM
I can only say that everytime I start a trading session by uploading another $20 to okcoin.com, Iam a bunch better than before until I lose everything. Though I lose mostly because of an error in setup then. Smiley

If someone wants to get in then he needs a lot of time to find out how he can trade profitable.

616  Economy / Gambling / Re: DaDice.com - Next Gen Social Gambling Dice Experience | Progressive Jackpot on: May 09, 2016, 06:54:06 PM
Indeed, as far as I know, there are a handful of "dicing scripts" that get sold around to people who want to be the "next big thing in dicing".  From what I can tell, people ought to take an example from the California gold rush of the mid 1800's,  A few people who were there first made a whole lotta money.  Then masses of people came west with "get rich!" ideas in their heads.  Of those people, almost no one made any money, with one exception: the people selling picks and shovels and buckets and supplies.

Anyway, my real point here is that whoever is selling the dicing scripts (which, yes, tend to look the same because they're probably originally forks of the same source) is the only one making any money at this point from dicing (with the obvious exception of the few who were there first).

That's the story of bitcoin too. Mining is a matching word then. Though the last time a goldmine was found was when the first asics were produced and shipped. Or kept and paid out divs like asicminer did.

For how long can you be banned in btctalk?

Forever of course. Though not from the start mostly. It starts slow but for serious caused troubles you can get instantly banned for life.
619  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to 1200-1300 (within a month?) on: May 09, 2016, 06:37:00 PM
Recalls in 2014. But for now, it's too far away to be at such a price, too big, unless there is a high pumping may even pass these figures may be done.
If we had an exchange as MtGox then the chances of seeing +$1000 would be significantly higher.

Without cheating with fake buy orders it may take at least 1 to 2 years before we see these prices.

I think it might happen pretty fast with the right news where people think bitcoin will be the solution for their problem. Happened already.
For the price to get back to over $1000, we'd need a lot of whales starting to buy, along with news documenting the value rise of Bitcoin to attract new investors. THEN, we'd have to make sure the exchanges don't collapse like Mt. Gox and start the cycle all over again. THEN, we need people to keep buying to keep the value up and prevent the coins from 2013 crashing the price.

I think the whales are not needed. What is the best for a rising price is adoption. Normal people thinking that bitcoin is the best investment or a help to secure their funds. It happened already. And I think it will again.

Unfortunately, the blocksize limit and the following problems are in the way of adoption now.

Adoption is the most important factor. But big whale can pump the price and cause media attention.

Such price pump would not really be believeable to other whales when there are no fundamental news that back it. It would end in a spike and be down to the previous price fast then.

Though alot of people believing it is good to buy... they don't look at such things.
620  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you do if ... on: May 09, 2016, 06:35:16 PM
i would INVEST , DIVEST  , INVEST.......

You mean trading... and one really should never play with all the money. Not even with 10% when he is not sure 99% that he will win. He should start learning to trade with very small amounts, like $10 in bitcoin or $20.

I learned it the hard way so...
