tl;dr

What I imagine you said is: Lost martinfailing yada yada yada butthurt yada yada yada pissed and will make MP look bad yada yada yada...
Jesus guy, did you even try to verify the rolls? Do it or gtfo.

LET THE WRATH OF l4r3f4c3 COMMENCE AND MAY THE PWNAGE BE MOST UNMERCIFUL AND RUTHLESS!

Are you like 14y old and hang out on HF all day? You might want to grow some pubic hair first then..

He wasn't martingaling. He was betting at 80% chance (1 in 5 rolls is a loss) he lost more than 1 in 5 so he is claiming shenanigans.
A lot people think that 98% chance can't lose but they forget about that other 2%. Just like 4 out of 5 times you win, doesn't guarantee that you'll actually win 4 out of 5 rolls.
Out of curiosity, what is HF?

It will be interesting to see how US markets open on Monday. I remember leaving work on Friday and the sell off just started here in the US. We will have a "black Monday" tomorrow?  They were calling it a correction, but it could likely be a reversal or signal of a new bubble burst.

This morning all asian markets are in full red. China major stock indexes collapsed on Monday morning because of lack of a liquidity triggered a new sell offs. There's no good news stocks are still very expensive in china and there's no fresh money coming in. Surely this sell off will have impact on Monday's US trade as well.

Well that's it then. It will be a black monday in the US as they should follow the rest of the market sentiment. T-minus 9 hours and 12 minutes.

604  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: A Popular XAPO Faucet Script Is Stealing Your Money! on: August 24, 2015, 03:16:49 AM
Was he dis-honest? did he say that it wasnt there? also, was the script public? if it was public i could see why he would want a cut of the profits after taking probably hours to make the script

YES he was dishonest because the site says no fees...free.

I would count that as stealing from the faucet owners without them knowing.

The script on Faucetbuilder.com is actually from another developer on github. https://github.com/destinybogan/Faucet-Builder

From what I see the code on the project looks clean. It's a little confusing since FaucetBuilder is being used for multiple projects.
605  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: earn bitcoins quickly on: August 23, 2015, 10:42:45 PM
To do this would take a LOT.  Remember bitcoins are money.  Money is not free.

You could have a massive mining setup and pull in 1 btc per day, but were talking a LOT of setup cost.   Easiest is to find a job and buy BTC.   At current price 225 or so times 365 your talking over 80k per year.

You just cannot get 80k per year without working or doing something very special.

Didn't think about that, but even at $225 per day you aren't going to hit your target in a real life job, because most of us only work 5 days a week, not every day.
606  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: earn bitcoins quickly on: August 23, 2015, 10:07:44 PM
Is very hard to make 1btc per day.
You need a business to make this amount of bitcoins.
You can earn about 4-5 btc per month from a real job.

Aint nobody got time for a real job!

 Cheesy Cheesy Just kidding. I agree the best way to earn is saving your money from your real world job and putting it towards bitcoin.
607  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: brainwallet.io on: August 23, 2015, 09:52:58 PM
If you'd like to see for yourself, use this online scrypt generator:

http://kclnn.github.io/js-scrypt-async/test_scrypt_browser.html

And type in a passphrase and salt (where the salt is your name, email, phone, and DoB combined with no spaces), with parameters N=262144, r=8, p=1, and # of bytes = 32.

Then copy and paste the output into the brainwallet generator at https://bitaddress.org.

You will arrive at the same private key.

Thanks for replying. Ahh, this is very cool.  Tested it out and it works. In fact I can just input the scrypt hash directly into "wallet details" section on bitaddress and it's done.
608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin XT Debate Thread at Zero Hedge on: August 23, 2015, 07:48:10 PM
Economists and finance guys decrying the market virtues of a centrally planned resource? Surely not!

Many tinfoil hatters and doomsday economists visit zerohedge. Half of them believe the grid is going to go down and the only thing that will have value then is gold and ammo.  It's a heavily biased "news" site that writes stories that are overly sensational. They have been yelling financial meltdown, crash, collapse of the dollar, etc every since they launched.
609  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: A Popular XAPO Faucet Script Is Stealing Your Money! on: August 23, 2015, 07:33:24 PM
thanks for the INfo

iam using the script here:
https://github.com/chipshotDEV/FaucetBuilder

is there also a 1% amount to the scripter ?

kind regards

It doesn't look like that version is taking 1%

Code:
function pay($to, $amount, $comment)
{
    $settings = $GLOBALS["settings"];
    $serviceUrl = "https://api.xapo.com/v1";
    $creditAPI = new XapoCreditAPI($serviceUrl, $settings['xapo_app_id'], $settings['xapo_secret_key']);
    $currency = "SAT"; // SAT | BTC
    $unique_request_id = uniqid();
    return $creditAPI->credit($to, $currency, $unique_request_id, $amount, $comments);
}

I'd still be careful, if he was being dishonest about taking 1%, what else might he be dishonest about?

Hello, i sent BTC with Receive Payments API to Bitcoin address blockchain,
but API not send BTC to main address and not work callback response after 30h. That a problem and how to fix it? Help members please.

This has been a common issue with blockchain.info's receive payments API.  It all started a few months ago when the "stress tests" began. Since they offered free payment forwarding I believe someone was misusing the Receipt Payments API service to fill up the blockchain with spam.
Your transaction will go through, it's just a matter of when. You might want to try to find another payment forwarding service like block.io or blockcypher since blockchain's is no longer reliable.
612  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [List] Bitcoin Advertising Networks on: August 23, 2015, 06:03:14 PM
I just started using Adverti (adverti.io) a week ago and their payouts have been very competitive compared to other Advertising Networks that pay in bitcoin. They're not officially released yet but they are accepting new publishers and advertisers. They approved my site quickly the same day.  I only use Adsense and Adverti now (and I'm piloting exoclick on one of my pages), the others like A-Ads just didn't pay enough. If you have a decent traffic with clicks you should try them out.

What about this Hammer  http://tinyurl.com/ozhru7m  forming on weekly /only on bfx byt u know .... Wink As luc said,we are sitting on 18 months broken log downtrend bear line, now support and weekly sma200 /8 months support/ both around 220+very very very oversold market

Long wicked candles like that one on the 1 Week chart are supposed to indicate that the trend will move in the other direction. If the long wick was point up we should go down, if the long wick is point down (like we have here) we should go up.

Haha, yea... but what about all the other wicks that show movement in the other direction?
You can't expect to TA that anomaly that happened in early 2014.

614  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wouldn't it be nice if... on: August 23, 2015, 05:43:10 PM
A biological cryptolocker that spreads through a variety of fast food and coffee outlets and kills you within 48 hours unless you cough up would do the job nicely. Then once you've paid up it's revealed that you've only bought yourself another 48 hours.

haha, I could see that as a sci-fi movie. People have to pay their "sustenance tax" to their oppressive government every 48 hours in order to stay alive. They can track the payments, so everyone has to make the payment themselves, you can't pay for your loved ones. Played by Matt Damon he strives to break the biological cryptolocker so he can make the payment for his fiance who broke her leg in a hovercar accident and cannot work to pay her sustenance tax.
615  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wouldn't it be nice if... on: August 23, 2015, 05:37:23 PM
You would need something that would create a large demand for the currency for that to happen.
I had a family get together yesterday, I was talking to my older brother who's a comp-sci major and he programs for a living.
He's familiar with bitcoin but he's not on board with it. He seemed to know the basics about it (you know the stuff you hear on mainstream media).
Anyways he thought it's major flaw is that it is a niche product and too complicated for regular users to drive any mass adoption.

So we would need two things:
a) a large demand for normal people to want the currency
b) a dumbed down easy to use as facebook method for bitcoin

If we have those two things, then we could see that huge green candle you are looking for. It seems like we are really close to scenario B with coinbase and circle, but what about A? Maybe someone like Lady Gaga or other big pop-star having an exclusive bitcoin album? You can only get it if you pay with bitcoin sorta deal.
616  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: XTnodes.com - Under attack ? on: August 23, 2015, 05:25:19 PM
Did the website owner give up and stop paying his hosting fees?
This is what I am seeing when I try to go to XTnodes:

There is no website configured at this address.

You are seeing this page because there is nothing configured for the site you have requested.
If you think you are seeing this page in error, please contact the site administrator or datacenter responsible for this site.
617  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: brainwallet.io on: August 23, 2015, 04:57:20 PM
What's the difference betewen this website and the old brainwallet.org that shutdown lately andhow this is safe from being cracked like the other one aswell ? using real informations may makei t easier to crack and not harder if you ask me  , because if someone know you well then you are screwed

Please see the "about" section for a detailed explanation.  Brainwallet.org only used one round of SHA256 to generate addresses, which made it extremely easy to brute force.  Brainwallet.io uses 262,144 iterations of the scrypt KDF.  As you can see, it takes a very long time to generate an address, and even with specialized hardware it would be too costly and impractical to conduct brute force attacks.

The personal information that you enter is used as a salt for additional protection.  An attacker would have to target you personally, but they would still have to brute force your passphrase.  This would still be a very time consuming process, so you would not be screwed.  It would be significantly more secure than using brainwallet.org.

So then the user could only reclaim their brainwallet funds as long as your service is operational or unless they saved the site files locally. This can be a downside to many people if they want to hold their coins for a long time in a brainwallet.

619  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: What are best ways to promote a faucet ?? on: August 23, 2015, 04:47:16 PM
Content! You need to make your faucet different than the rest. Once you have that, minimize the amount of ads, and make sure there are ZERO POP UPS! Customers hate pop-up ads. Once you are there, then add a referral campaign and payout at least 30% commision. Other faucet owners are always looking for new faucets that are original and have good referral payouts.  This is what I did with the faucet+dice site I made, and it's been doing well.  Good luck!
620  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: August 23, 2015, 04:26:32 PM
I live in the united states where the minimum wage is $7.25 an hour. Even though these job require very little skill i guess faucets do take less. But even so someone working minimum wage (in the US) makes more in 1 hour than faucets can make you in 8 hours. If thats how you want to spend your time to each his own.

Nobody should be relying on faucets or signature campaigns for real income, it's just not enough. You can earn a lot more by going out and finding work in real life. If you are a senior member or higher and post a lot you can probably make $20 a week, and then another $1 or $2 from faucets. All that would require would be one 8 hour day at $2.75 an hour.
