601  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin-Roulette.com - potential scam and confirmed theft of another sites CSS on: May 06, 2013, 02:24:47 AM
Pretty disgusting, its one thing to reimplement but its completely another thing to simply steal.

604  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [REPOST FOR NEWBS] - I of Mems list Encourage boycotting SatoshiDice [RACISM] on: May 06, 2013, 02:12:49 AM
I see MPOO-ER is replying again.

Newbies please be careful of this individual, he has a well deserved reputation for giving bad advice to newbies in transparent attempt to increase his forum presence. Unfortunately MrPOO-ER is just an extremely angry troll upset that the world does not care for him or his opinions.

Best you simply put him on ignore Wink or if you find angry pseudo intellectuals amusing then feed that troll, he has unlimited potential for butt hurt.
605  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinobit - LIVE ROULETTE - No Registration - Instant Payouts on: May 06, 2013, 02:11:04 AM
Good morning, your next to be added to my list.

Going to do at least 1 day this week if I can manage  the time Smiley
I see Dooglus has already given you the OK which is good enough for me, I'll update the list shortly.
606  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiCircle.com - Better Odds, Blockchain Spam Free, Penguins & Balloons! on: May 06, 2013, 02:09:56 AM
Warning, Site operator refuses to back up their claims of "provably fair".
edit: Currently in direct contact with site admin regarding my concerns.

My outstanding concern is  that the client side RNG is not easily verifiable for the end user and the user cannot set their own seed.

The site can easily insert a predictable client side RNG every N refreshes to take advantage of players.
607  Economy / Gambling / Re: BOYCOTT MPEx & SDice [RACISM] on: May 06, 2013, 02:03:02 AM
MPOE-PR seems really unhinged person from the quotes I see popping up, do to his/her childish tantrums and ignorance I leave the character/troll on permanent ignore.

The war is over, I have all the quotes I need from Erik to ensure future discussion of this topic covers the needed facts.

I encourage all the young teeenagers and ignorant man-childern such as MPOO-ER to educate themselves further and consider being more racially sensitive not less.

Bitcoin crosses all borders, we dont need a foul mouth racist or his defender representing bitcoin unchallenged - when a bored news reporter decideds to to an expose on the racism in the bitcoin community we need threads like this to show that while  there is support, its limited to a few key individuals and companies:

* Erik Voorhees of SatoshiDice
* MPOO-ER or Turd Burglars inc'
* haitispaceagency of racist trolls r us
* MPEx the asshole of bitcoin.
608  Economy / Gambling / Bitcoin-Roulette.com - potential scam and confirmed theft of another sites CSS on: May 04, 2013, 07:20:04 PM
I just caught a new advert on reddit for this game, looking @ the forums it was started ages ago but has either been sold or refreshed.

The following css labels and code is directly stolen from satoshiroulette.com:
* Green_Table_Background
* roulette_table_td_small
* mini_min_max_bet_red
* mini_min_max_bet_black

I play @ satoshi roulette a bit at work on the tablet so Im quite used to seeing those buttons on the green tiles they used, turned out it wasn't familiar at all but plain stolen.

http://pastebin.ca/2373570

Now more concerning than petty theft is the claim of provably fair splashed all over its reddit add without anything on the site AT ALL to show players how they can verify their bets. It may not be a scam but there are some incredible losing streaks on their log atm that Id love to see verified with a secret I already knew the hash of.

Additionally they make the bold claim that they have the best odds but all Im seeing is a plain old euro table and nothing else to increase the odds for the player.

Its one thing to copy an idea, but another to simply jack someones hard work on web design - the 2 guys doing satoshi roulette arent pro web devs but they work hard anyway, its a terrible shame to see some asshole rip their hard work off to use as his base.

Welp its about 3:20am here in perth, I better get ready for bed, just caught this on my light night reddit crawl and thought Id send up a warning flare before crashing out.
609  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinLab suing MtGox for $75 milliion? on: May 03, 2013, 06:34:54 AM
Incorporated in Delaware who charges no income tax on corporations not operating within the state, suing MtGox for 75000000$, surely Coinlab has the well being of the Bitcoin community as their number one priority and money doesn't matter to them.

^ this, Im certain Coinlab is an elaborate money grab scam.
610  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinLab suing MtGox for $75 milliion? on: May 03, 2013, 06:33:24 AM
Basically coinlab must of expected mtgox to freeze all North American accounts until they could be handed over to coinlab.
MTGox would have to be insane to do this as they would suffer a mass exodus of clients during the transition period.

Shame Mt. Gox didn't pick up on that before signing the contract.

Yep, this is why you need lawyers to examine contracts and NEVER sign on (or bet) on something that you do not understand and or that does not cover every detail explicitly.
611  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Suing MtGox for $75m is a dick move. on: May 03, 2013, 06:26:23 AM
One can't help but wonder if this was their plan all along.

Enter business relationship, write contracts in a specific way which can never be fulfilled - possibly a less experienced Gox signs, thinking they are on the same team anyway.

When they don't comply 100%, they bring out their lawyers and cause them hell.

Prove me wrong children, prove me wrong.. *principal Skinner voice*

This is pretty much my thoughts on the matter as well.

Was mtgox supposed to instantly stop servicing existing customers after signing the contract ?
How could any sane business do this and expect to survive, Coinlab is not set up to handle gox clients yet - why is Coinlab being such a little bitch about it unless they are simply planning to profit by repeated lawsuits against their "business partners".

IANAL just a grumpy outspoken bastard.
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CHNCoin = ChickenCoin! Born to be on btce. on: May 03, 2013, 06:14:31 AM
I just realized that CHNCoin could be ChickenCoin.

It was born to be traded on BTC-e.

arise Chncoin arise !
613  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: coinjedi / betsofbitco.in SCAMMERS: Declares "Push" on obvious win for BFL bet on: May 03, 2013, 05:27:25 AM
Quote
• Before April 1st 2013, at least one BFL customer with a bitcointalk.org forum account established prior to the bet's opening date shall post detailed and credible photos of the device on the forum, including photos of it operating, and report its hashrate. This customer cannot be a BFL employee.
So my only remaining question at this point is, was LukeJr a customer of BFL ?

Yes = outcome FALSE
No = outcome TRUE
Yes. I won't disclose my total purchase quantity, but I will say I paid in full for more than just my Little Single.

Thank you Luke.

Now we are down to semantics, was the unit delivered to you LukeJr or did you pick it up ?

edit:

de·liv·er
/diˈlivər/
Verb
Bring and hand over (a letter, parcel, or ordered goods) to the proper recipient or address.
Formally hand over (someone).
Synonyms
hand over - rescue

Full disclosure my english sucks, but looking @ the literal definition of deliver luke could arrive at BFL hq and had the parcel given to him in person and it would still be considered delivered.

Im reviewing the bet statement again to see if there is anything else.

edit2:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shipping

Well now it gets even more difficult, since we are down to semantics "ship" or "shipping" implies a vessel would carry the item/package to its destination. So a person to person transfer would not be considered shipping.

614  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitbet.us scammers ignore delivered BFL products on: May 03, 2013, 05:20:16 AM
- A "Bad Bet" should not have been allowed in the first place
- Before the bet was closed and it became clear that the bet is a "Bad Bet", it should have been cancelled and funds returned

I agree wholly with this 2 points you have made.

Im still watching the results, may I have some specific links to where BFL changes their power quotes ?
Something official please if you can find it.
615  Economy / Gambling / Re: All Bitgem-like sites on: May 03, 2013, 05:17:30 AM

I'll add this to my list of lists shortly Smiley

Nice work.
616  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MTGOX Support - Dont Get your account frozen on: May 03, 2013, 04:59:22 AM
Definitely your orders should have been frozen.  I hope you didn't lose a lot.

If you did memtingale your way out of it.  Grin (And just being a smart-ass)

Orders are frozen until the account is unlocked  then orders are made active automatically before you log in.

It means I will miss several bounces, fortunately only some of my funds are in mtgox Smiley
617  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MTGOX Support - Dont Get your account frozen on: May 03, 2013, 04:13:42 AM
They should have it in their TOS what they do if an account is frozen for whatever reason. Personally I would vote for cancelling all standing orders, and notifying the customer about it when it happens. The customer should also be able to learn this before signing up.

Agreed, this is a terrible way to handle account lockouts imho.
618  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinLab suing MtGox for $75 milliion? on: May 03, 2013, 02:13:24 AM
I'm still reading, but so far, it looks like the suit will likely be tossed.  The contract will likely be nullified.

Your bank, brokerage, etc, etc, can't just sell your account to someone else, and a contract to do so would not be valid.  There are complicated hoops that you have to jump through for that.

Yep, sounds like Coinlab is run by a bunch of greedy litte bitches.

the point of contention:

Quote
"Defendants have breached the exclusivity provisions of the Agreement by directly servicing customers in the United States and Canada since the Agreement took effect,"

Basically coinlab must of expected mtgox to freeze all North American accounts until they could be handed over to coinlab.
MTGox would have to be insane to do this as they would suffer a mass exodus of clients during the transition period.
619  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: arby.pl - free arbitrage calculator for BTC-e on: May 03, 2013, 01:41:07 AM
How am I supposed to read this?
Does
Quote
[ARB 1] 1 BTC =           98.802 USD =      30.52748776 LTC =        0.9855891 BTC - Depth:       0.1996 BTC
mean BTC -> USD -> LTC -> BTC ?
yes you read it from left to right.

Also should the script not only show profitable trades?

No.

620  Economy / Service Discussion / MTGOX Support - Dont Get your account frozen on: May 03, 2013, 01:34:34 AM
So my account for mtgox was frozen (issues with OTP) anyway Im going through the reset process no issue there.

Except for  the following: When mtgox freezes your account all orders are suspended, 3 weeks later after unfreezing they re-activate all your orders automatically and execute them with you having no control or chance to cancel.

Now I had to ask their useless support agent "James"  the same question 5 times in an attempt to get a simple yes or no answer. Each time he would post a vague canned response and close the call. It seems "James" is allergic to yes or no answers and is only able to copy and paste replies from their support script.

Im just employing logic here but the only 2 fair things to do would be:

* execute order book as normal while account is frozen.
* wipe order book while account is frozen.
* pause order book while account is frozen and do not unpause/ freeze until the user logs in and confirms he wants his unfrozen orders to go active.

Instead we have the following fiasco:

* Freeze order books, wait 3 weeks and DROP all unfrozen orders on a market they were not planned for giving user no chance to intervene.
