601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: March 30, 2022, 12:07:27 PM
After all, Chelsea is currently the holder of the defending UCL title and also, in the previous season Chelsea managed to get rid of Madrid in the semi-finals until Chelsea finally won the UCL title last season. Now in the quarter-finals, Chelsea will play again against Real Madrid and of course Chelsea have the motivation and ambition to make this good record continue. But yes, as well as Real Madrid, as a big team they will not give up and will try even harder to beat Chelsea as a way of revenge. With the motivation and ambition of these two teams, of course the match will be tight, I personally find it difficult to predict something like this because both have a chance to qualify.

Totally agree. Chelsea are not here by chance,,, yes they cannot really claim to be at the level of City or Bayern, but nobody can deny the talents they have on their squad, some are World Cup winners, others are most expensive players, and their own coach also is top class.

They have a big chance to win, but so do Real and the prize for that is a meeting with Manchester City. I hope it is Real City though, I prefer not to see another English final!
602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe it is to invest in cryptocurrency on: March 30, 2022, 10:31:11 AM
Cryptocurrency is a decentralized means of saving money.

This is not true like many have pointed out. Most of the cryptocurrencies actually are not very decentralized. It does not matter if there are nodes or miners around the world if there is still private company or founders or some foundation on top of that with power to change the system, change its rules, protocols or whatever.

Bitcoin is the only one which has true decentralization with wide enough spread around the world and no founder or company in the center of it.

I think Ethereum is also among the alts the one with the most decentralization,,, and this comes from me a person who used to think it was not. To be fair, no coin can be decentralized from the beginning, and no coin can claim 100% decentralization but Bitcoin is the only one and with Ethereum catching up,,, that can be said to be in control of no single person.

That is important as you say, but as I also said in an earlier post on an altcoin thread utility is really the true marker of value. Bitcoin and Ethereum have real, actual users.

Everyone else is pretending or incentivizing utility.
603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Solana have a future? on: March 30, 2022, 08:56:06 AM
And that is utility. If nobody uses it,,, there is nothing to stand behind any argument for it.

(Using it to play Dapps does not count)  Grin
So far I also feel what concerns you, that the coin is not influenced more because of the great community, technology and development, we have seen bitcoin as a real example today, not even a big community, great technology and ideas in the development of bitcoins used to be, but now they are the most expensive coins out of all, and I agree that utility is more important than anything

I disagree there about Bitcoin though, it has a really big community, just that they do not look like altcoin "communities" and this is the basis of what I mean in the first place! Altcoin 'communities' are just people staying in a channel so they do not miss airdrops or token announcements or bounties,,, things like that.

Bitcoin communities are many pockets of people who are not interested in markets alone but go out there and use it in the daily lives. Educators, developers, users, and buyers. BTC is not near $50k today because of tokenomics or bounties or marketing or 'community' events on Discord. But because of utility Smiley

605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: March 30, 2022, 06:49:00 AM
Congratulations to Portugal. They really deserved to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar.Their loss against Serbia was the only thing that would have stopped them, and they kinda had some luck against Turkey(a Turkish player missed a penalty),but there's no doubt that they were the better team in both games against Northern Macedonia and Turkey.
Also congrats to the Canadians, but I don't think that they are strong enough to achieve anything significant in the World Cup tournament. They will just lose three games in the group phase and leave the tournament.Their win against Jamaica was probably because of the cold weather in Canada(AFAIK,the match was in Toronto).

Everyone knows football tournaments is about luck, that's why you can see a shock surprise more often than when you play in league. Sprints produce more shocks than marathon and look at Italy for the best example of luck,,, did not lose for 49 games and the one they lost was the one they needed to win. And the team that beat them played using their style of ultra defence.

Anyway Portugal deserve this and also you are right about Canada. Their group and opponents are nothing compared to even Africa I would say.
606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Solana have a future? on: March 29, 2022, 01:16:44 PM
I'm not trying to argue with my friend, but rather a discussion that can make the experience for me personally and improve it even more, especially since my friend has been on this forum for a long time, for me Solana is not strong enough to last for now, so the hype is going to affect the future

No worries my friend,,, I get you, I guess I just have a bad reaction to most altcoins and that is not because I look down on them or their supporters but because it reminds me about how I started my crypto journey.

I supported a few projects I thought was strong, great tech, great devs etc etc whatever right? But in the end I learned that the technology and the volatility and the ideas actually matter not as much as the one big thing Bitcoin has that others do not.

And that is utility. If nobody uses it,,, there is nothing to stand behind any argument for it.

607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto.com as Sponsor's for FIFA World Cup on: March 29, 2022, 12:10:26 PM
Get the facts right. Crypto.com is not sponsoring the Qatar Fifa world cup. At the final bid, an Indian company Byju's has taken over for sponsorship.

https://m.jagranjosh.com/current-affairs/byjus-becomes-official-sponsor-of-fifa-world-cup-2022-1648187016-1

The sponsorship value is almost 40 million usd. I personally wanted crypto.com to get the sponsorship because it would have given a great push to the crypto market. But unfortunately they couldn't do it.

I have been ignoring crypto.com for years now,,, I always saw them as a scam after Monaco card failed (and they lost a lot of users too) before they went to rebrand to Crypto dot com but it seems as if now they have successfully moved past that era as nobody remember them for that anymore. Did they ever satisfy people about what they used ICO funds for?

Good for them. Ethereum did it, not they will too Smiley
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 29, 2022, 10:39:55 AM
Was mentioning some weeks ago that nothing is going to be decided until the last match day. All the teams in there are all exchanging positions, everyone is dropping points, and the best form of all of them is actually Juventus (last 7 games or even last 10 games) in terms of points but not in terms of actual game playing.

Trust me,,, they will all have cointoss performance as well.
The most exciting European league  Grin

Maybe you're right. The title fight will continue until the last match of the season. And now Juventus have joined the fight for the title. As a result, the fight has become more difficult and exciting. And of all the leagues in Europe, Serie A has become the most exciting. I just want to enjoy the matches and win the bets Wink. I'm not worried about which team will win the title. Grin

Yes Smiley I actually follow English league before more than any other league but that one is City vs Liverpool,,, and is not really exciting until recently but I still think City will win. And everywhere else a max is just 2 or 3 teams too.

Here, we have so many teams and bookie odds keep changing, and all of them have terrible form. But it makes it fun for us all especially when I do not even support any team there!

610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: March 29, 2022, 08:43:48 AM
I think Poland is a clearer favorite than the bookies show. They have more depth in their team and are also playing at home - the only advantage I can give to Sweden is that they played a competitive game recently (a qualifier against Czech Republic) while the Poles did not. It might take them a bit more to get into the flow of the game.

I will take the ~2.70 odds I can get on Poland - they have Lewa in top form after all.

I guess it is just about the form of both sides and the lineup they are putting out,,, but I agree I would rate Poland much higher than what bookies are saying, so good value with Europe's top scorer there.

I will take this pick today actually,,, what do you think of South Korea? I always back my man Son to score but they actually do not need to win this game so they might not even play with full effort but I think also they want to guarantee top spot for pride and momentum. Over 2x odds for them seems like good value against UAE who has very bad record.
611  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Southampton FC Main Sponsor 🚀🚀 on: March 29, 2022, 06:29:49 AM
That tennis bet Steve shared really shows us that if you know your sport, you even do not need to go for heavy favorites or whatever,,, just bet regular 2x or close by, pick the strongest confidence picks and trust your research. Such an amazing bet too I wonder if 66.66 was the intention?

I know if I am patient and I do not just bet here and there I can have quite good picks,,, the problem is adding our favorite team or player and then adjusting the outcomes and handicaps to get the odds we want or we believe is worth it  Grin
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender bias in gambling. on: March 28, 2022, 11:18:39 AM
You have to realize that gambling is a business and they are only after the money and nothing more. So, if it is only men that are gambling in casinos, then people would focus on that to make more money. If you have 98% men in your casino and 2%, would you do equal ads or whatever? No, you would put in some semi-naked chicks to attract men more and more, that is how you make money.

Because at the end of the day, if it meant that 98% was women, they would put men with no shirts on and with abs, they do not care about what they do, they only care about who they are doing it to and how much money it would mean back to them and that is the profitable version for them.

Unfortunately the gender bias is not going to change even with 98% women. Bare naked men do not convince girls to gamble more,,, I think you have to get into the psychology of things. Make it cool make it trendy make it desirable,,, this is what makes women buy.

I know men supposedly work all the same way but for me and I bet you a lot of others who gamble sports, we want to see sportspeople advertising and promoting not chicks who are not even into sports.
613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 28, 2022, 09:03:36 AM
Inter Milan have a good chance of winning the title, even if they can't win against Juventus. Because the opponents of their upcoming matches are weak, except Roma. And if Inter Milan learn from their last few matches. And can correct their own mistakes. Then I believe they will be able to win all the upcoming matches.
Moreover, if Juventus can win against Inter, then Juventus will try to win the title.

Was mentioning some weeks ago that nothing is going to be decided until the last match day. All the teams in there are all exchanging positions, everyone is dropping points, and the best form of all of them is actually Juventus (last 7 games or even last 10 games) in terms of points but not in terms of actual game playing.

614  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you prefer lots of promotions over better RTP? on: March 28, 2022, 07:34:57 AM
Pure gamblers I think always prefer RTP,,, but this comes in many forms. I love low house edge best. You want to win best, and have the best chances, and tailor a strategy to it.

On the other hand, cashbacks and rakebacks are also great,,, it contributes to low house edge and is part of strategy so promos in that shape I see the same really.

But I LOVE promos on sports like Sportsbet does all the time, small wager, big prize possibility. Who does not like that? Smiley
615  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scalpers and day traders - Never lie, be realistic. on: March 28, 2022, 05:49:44 AM
And this is the type of trading majority of crypto people try,,, and fail eventually, sooner or later.

This is a simple fact of biology and psychology that traders do not understand when you do something that requires you to be glued to a single task the entire day, day after day, with brain just watching.

No one on this planet can sustain that activity at high efficiency for a long time. Mistakes become more common and impatience leads to more risks, etc.

If you are scalping manually, give it up, I would say.
This is a good point, humans are really good at finding imaginative solutions to their problems, however when it comes to monitoring we are really inefficient, and watching the markets and taking decisions based on the movements of the charts fall into this category.

So there are only three paths that we have available, to increase our monitoring ability, to create a bot to do this on our place or to decrease the importance of monitoring the markets constantly by trading a slower time frame, none of those options are easy but trading the makets in general have never been easy at all.

Yup,,, and it is not our fault, it is simply biology as I said. Chemicals and impulses and weariness all add up, we are not able to monitor efficiently, and with time it becomes worse and worse. So any activity that needs you to do it continuously for hours is always going to give worsening returns, not to mention repeating this daily for months!

Bots is the only way but that is always imperfect unless you are a pro at setting precise and welldefined paramaters Smiley

Bitcoin trading is not for everyone I guess I would say!
616  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price. on: March 28, 2022, 05:12:17 AM
We've seen bitcoin trade over 47,000 for the first time since January third, and we're seeing it again today after more than two months. I'd really like to see it break 47,000 before becoming more hyped. It is good to see that the Russian government is waking up to this, and hopefully more countries will begin to understand. It certainly benefits both parties. The country escapes sanctions and we BTC holders get the bullish feeling. The FOMO engine is kicking in. Let's call it extreme greed. It will hit 50k by March's end? Now we have a better chance of getting 50k and then probably 60k.

Wow really,,, I saw the price go around 47500 and the first thought to myself was, ah another monthly attempt to go to 50k is coming, had no idea so "long" a time had already passed, that is almost 3 months. The bulls must be very happy but I hope this is not hype and I really hope it is nothing to do with Russia,,, cause it is not going to be great to get BTC up because some mad man is using it.
617  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scalpers and day traders - Never lie, be realistic. on: March 27, 2022, 12:29:30 PM
Scalp trading requires that the trader stays glued to the market and making hundreds of trades by the end of the day.

And this is the type of trading majority of crypto people try,,, and fail eventually, sooner or later.

This is a simple fact of biology and psychology that traders do not understand when you do something that requires you to be glued to a single task the entire day, day after day, with brain just watching.

618  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitDice.me | Warning | What happened? on: March 27, 2022, 11:30:28 AM
OP what made you choose this site for affiliate marketing?
What kind of question is this? Every affiliates wants to maximize their earnings especially if your resources is focused on gambling & casino, then becoming an affiliates for every casino will give you higher chance to earn more. Besides bitdice is a reputable gambling website, well, maybe its now only a tale in the past, as lots of concerns arise lately.

What kind of question is this? Are you an affiliate? Did you "maximize" your earnings by being an affiliate for EVERY casino? You maximize earnings by focusing on one or two good casinos that are attractive, and spend less on the others, and avoid the bad casinos.

If you advertise for all, including the known scams, your reputation goes bust, and you lose credibility, then everyone will assume all the casinos you promote are scams.

I would like to know why OP chose this site when it does seem like they have gone out of business or are inactive.

Dude,,, make up your mind. Bitdice reputable but maybe not? Why do guys like you always make comments that absolutely do not help anybody?
619  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tradig Course - Beginner on: March 25, 2022, 01:55:09 PM
My comment about studying, researching and learning.

I believe most people doing badly at trading is less to do with knowledge and more to do with a complete misunderstanding of their chances and their own ability to make discipline and basic rules. You can read 100 books and subscribe to 100 channels and listen to experts all day but if you do not have discipline and an awareness that you are more likely to lose than to win,,, then you chase and chase and lie to yourself until you are left with nothing.

I should know this as have been there before,,,

So make sure you know what the deal is, and what your objective are first, and what is most likely to happen to you. Then go in.
Being knowledgeable is always an edge, but that alone will never make you a successful trader. Experience will always matter the most. And the more you engage yourself to a lot of trading experiences, skills and strategies will gradually develop. Not only that, awareness and discipline will always follow through along with the right attitude in trading.

Experience without understanding the lessons that are taught is also not useful, which is why I say it is less about knowledge and more about understanding the knowledge,,, and understanding why things happen. Traders can spend years thinking they lose because of mistakes in TA or mistakes in calculations etc. that is of course useful but it is far more valuable to understand from experience your ability to be disciplined and awareness of the odds being stacked against you. Discipline does not naturally follow through. That is something in mentality and psychology that should be set first BEFORE trading.
620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏀NCAA basketball🏀 March Madness 2022🏆-🤾 Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: March 25, 2022, 12:34:47 PM
I agree it only takes one 1 correct prediction to at least get in the top 10 since each prediction consists of two outcomes.

After the first four games today I got two teams correct Villanova and Duke but I failed to predict the correct total on the Villanova. On the bright side, the Duke pick puts me in the top 10 at the very least.

Well done! I see I have 2 points already and the top leaderboard has 3 so I guess I can be sure of a consolation prize at least. Getting the team right is hard enough, getting the over/under is truly like a cointoss,,, so it should be a mix of skill and luck,,, in my case totally luck  Grin

I scrolled through the leaderboard but do not recognize any names there. They are not alphabetical though so maybe I missed you.

Lost my 50USDT freebet, made it South Korea, Brazil, Saudi Arabia but China managed to force a draw sad.
