621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A famous influencer lost more than $4000 in just 2 minutes. (2) on: February 20, 2024, 07:23:58 PM
Well the link no longer works, says video has been removed or link broken.

If he was paid to promote a casino, then this video will not be released for public consumption as it does not attracted more people to gambling rather it send fears to gamblers by telling them what could possibly happen to them over some careless mistakes.
A more suspicious advert would be the influencer winning 4000 dollars from the casino, if that was what in the video.

Also from his reaction, one can easily tell that it was his money that he lost. He should accept his loss and move on.

Failure to follow the rules of risk management comes with huge prices just like this case.
Also a lesson that influencers can loose too, they are not immune to it.
622  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Drop your predictions for the value of Naira against dollar? on: February 19, 2024, 03:42:38 PM
As for you question, why no just specify the time. Example is to ask the question that what would be the price of dollar to bitcoin before the end of this year. You can not ask the question in an indefinite way.
Sorry that I did not make it very specific, I been feel say I dun already lay the example of the duration from my own prediction wey I been give wey be from April to June (second quarter)
In maybe the second quarter of the year, I predict one dollar to be almost the equivalent of N2,500 because our government seems to be clueless on what to do.

I go dey more specific and plain next time with the duration.

Before the end of this year, I am expecting at least 1 dollar to be 2000 to naira. But at most, it should not be more than 2500.
Your predictions are valid, but at some point too, I never expected 1 dollar to get more than 1000, Nigeria shock me! Nigeria still fit shock you with that 2500 mark that you have set. Cheesy

This is not right because I think this is not the question that you want to ask. It is dollar against naira and not naira against dollar. There are differences between USD/NGN and NGN/USD. You are asking about USD/NGN pair and not the other.
Thanks a lot for this correction, I have edited the post and made the correction.
623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you stand to gain from the bull run. on: February 19, 2024, 03:27:40 PM
~
I will first reply straight to the topic of this discussion by saying asides the possibility of financial gain in the bull run, I stand to gain more reliability and reputation among those newbies to crypto who I have recommended to bitcoins as a good investment for them because of the expected increase in value in this time where we are counting down to the Halving.
624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why mega threads always be kept open on: February 18, 2024, 11:55:41 PM
~
Some mega threads are kept open because the discussions in them are continuous and not ending.

Some mega threads are kept open because maybe the question asked by OP has not been well answered.

Some mega threads are still open because the people who started them have forgotten to revisit the topic they started, so the topic is left open to spammers.

The reasons are numerous.
625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 18, 2024, 06:56:27 PM
If Munich loses to Bochum, not only will Tuchel be threatened but the point difference with Leverkusen will also be further away. Now we are 8 points behind, this is quite difficult considering that Munich's performance has started to decline.
Bochum made good use of the chances they had, scoring three goals and making it more difficult for Bayern Munich to find a way back, Bayern Munich and Tuchels problem's continue.

Could Harry Kane be the bad luck? left Tottenham and they are playing so good, moved to Bayern and they now are sh*t! does he have a trophy curse? because it looks very obvious to me right now that Bayern Leverkusen are winning the Bundesliga and Bayern are getting knocked out of the champions league.

Dayot Upamecano is also making a record for himself, two red cards in two successive games from different competitions, first against Lazio now against Bochum.
626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: Worldcup qualifiers - CAF. on: February 18, 2024, 06:41:45 PM
As it stands, it would be wrong if the NFF thought of sacking Santos Peseiro because he didn't get us the AFCON trophy. At least let's appreciate the fact that he made us reach the AFCON finals, qualify for the World Cup tournament, and also made us move from the 42nd position to the 28th position in the current FIFA ranking.
Nigeria were only good defensively all through the tournament but were all round not impressive, we did not play beautiful and impressive football, we wobbled our way to the finals.

Poseiro score to me is 60/100, He was tactical but not always brilliant. He should be given more time to with the team because the options of good coaches is actually not so much. And since the team has already built history and some kind of relationship from going so far in the AFCON and not winning it, that can fasten the bond they have together. Poseiro should be giving some more time.

The super eagles need a fix in midfield.

You may not know this because William Ekong is the one wearing the Captain’s armband but in reality Ahmed Musa is the real captain. He just didn’t play in any of the games in the tournament. Jose Peseiro was asked about Ahmed Musa’s role in the team and his response revealed Ahmed Musa is the team leader.
I watched Ahmed Musa with the press, he was asked how he felt not playing...his response was very mature.
He said that he has played for others to win, he is okay with others playing for him to win.

I will post link as soon as I find it.
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling between the past and nowadays on: February 18, 2024, 06:26:29 PM
In your opinion, what are the factors that brought  change in the field of gambling?
Change is always a constant factor, and it would have been impossible for gambling to always remain the same way it started with no development.

-Ease of playing and more casinos.
I imagine that in the olden days it is not just that there was physical casinos that made it difficult to play but that the number of physical casinos present and available to play were very few that you may need to go a very long distance before you are able to bet or gamble.

-Online gambling and the emergence of easy-to-use applications that support all games.
The Internet came into existence and birthed many other innovations including online gambling.

-The method of advertising has changed, becoming more effective and attracting more players..
Media has evolved, there is no way that the improvement in media will not affect gambling.

There are even more games to gamble on than the games available in the olden days.

What is your outlook on it in the future?
More development like gambling in the metaverse.

628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is it letting the bank know that you are a BTC Investor? on: February 18, 2024, 04:49:03 PM
Question please: was the official question on me necessary? And was it wrong of me letting her know that I am a BTC investor? My conscience just keep saying "Hello man, you fucked up talking about BTC out there".
Your bank will not steal your money or tamper with your money in their holding, and unless the customer care official recorded it in your profile as an investor in bitcoins, you don't have much to worry about because she will forget it as soon as possible because she deals with a lot of people daily.

As further advice, always consider the legal conditions of bitcoins in your country before discussing about it publicly with any person, or even claiming to be an investor.
629  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who buys Bitcoin at $500k on: February 17, 2024, 10:46:21 PM
My question is who buys Bitcoin at that price..?
Same question:

Who would buy bitcoin at $50k when price was under $5k in September 2017?

Me and other will probably answer: anyone can buy it especially since there are always traders and investors who will take advantage of its price volatility and also people who take advantage of real use cases.
At any price that bitcoins get to, there will always be buyers. Not all buyers of bitcoins are buying to make profit from the Volatility, it has use cases as a currency too that some people are readily available to make use of instead of fiat.

At 50k, there will still be buyers, but definitely not so much as today or yesterday.
630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Buying and Selling of Casino Accounts (Discussion thread) on: February 17, 2024, 10:27:00 PM
- Do casinos have any policy against account sells?
Casinos will definitely frown at this, but I'm not sure that they will be able to completely stop it because they may be no method or technology to actually detect that an account has changed hand from the original user to a new user.
- If you have the opportunity of buying a casino account, would you buy or build yours from afresh?
I will not second think the option of building my own account because if I buy an account I do not know the history of the account and the cases that the former account owner has been involved with. Building your own account gives you confidence than buying a gambling account. Also if there's an issue tomorrow concerning the account that requires you to submit some documents again, you may not be able to rectify it because you are not the original user of the account and do not have the original documents that were used to register the account.
631  Economy / Economics / Re: Not easy times in the world but how the goverment will improve? on: February 17, 2024, 10:16:19 PM
Economies that are at the verge of collapse or collapsed have few common problems aka they take too much loans and are heavily dependent on foreign products. If a country is surplus in making essential products then it wont be affected because of current hard time. Take example of Iran, it has sanctions but they still dong good because they are self sufficient in making essential items while gulf countries who have oil with no sanctions are finding current time hard because they are heavily dependent on foreign products.
A country with a surplus of essential products will have enough to sell to other countries who are in need of these essential item. Because of the important essential products that they produce they can never face too much problems because their items are in demand.

Painfully I think that not all governments are focused on facing and fixing the problems that they have in their country, Poverty has been weaponized in some places and used as a tool to keep the citizens under bondage. It is not a magic wand but a few better economic policies from the goverment can improve the standard of living for citizens living in the country.

632  Economy / Economics / Re: Save money today so money would save you tomorrow. on: February 17, 2024, 10:05:25 PM
So please it’s not too late to stop spending on things that doesn’t really matter, so basically the money you saved today could literally save you tomorrow.
But will you keep saving when there's a better way for you to secure tomorrow which is by investing? Investing offers a better option to me than saving because in saving your money may be losing value due to inflation but when it comes to investing the money is building value against tomorrow. Do not save without investing. If you want to have things easier for you tomorrow then it is better to make sacrifices today to make good investments that will be profitable for tomorrow.

If you start investment at an early age you will be able to retire early when you're old.
633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't be an idiot,don't play slots on: February 17, 2024, 09:51:29 PM
In slot machines you don't control a deep shit and rely completely on luck which on the long run is totally against anyone of us,name me one person who have won more than lost over time, yeah no one, even those who won jackpots.
Perhaps not all the people who play slots are playing to win, some are actually playing for fun which the game can provide believe it or not, and will not mind that they have lost more than they have won from slots.

Continuing to play slots even though you lose does that make you an idiot the only makes you a gambler who is not gambling for money but gambling for fun especially to enjoy themselves and ease the daily pressure that they may be facing.

634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: February 17, 2024, 09:37:47 PM
Tough day at the office for City, and for most fantasy team managers  that went with a Halaad Captain, am pretty sure they should be feeling the pressure and with less shoots at goal or on goal this surely makes Chelsea comfortable as they run down the time.
Manchester City have not recorded any win against the big clubs in the Premier League this season, they have only drawn points with them. Haaland missed many opportunities, blanked in the game, and is of course a big blow to us who had him as captain. Manchester City were Lucky, They were meant to loose that game, Pochettino's wrong substitution spoilt the game.

Saka delivered this weekend, would have even had a hattrick had Arteta not taken him off.
635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Escape Debt with Gambling: A Dangerous Cycle on: February 16, 2024, 10:59:30 PM
~
Some Gamblers actually are lucky that they win big and are able to clear off their debts through gambling, but the chances of this happening is very small because it doesn't happen everyday and certainly not to every gambler who has a debt to pay. Some debtors who are gamblers are under very serious pressure of paying off their debt because they are due, if that pressure is taken to gambling, a good decision will be hardly made. A debtor who still has enough time to pay off a debt may be lucky to win and pay off debt because they will be calmer when gambling.
636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: February 16, 2024, 10:36:20 PM
As Manchester City are going to play both matches home this week I don't think we can find a better opportunity than this for Haaland TC. Even though he couldn't score in the Copenhagen match I think he was effective.

Most people probably would have already TC him including me as well but after reading news about his grandmother, I dont think he is mentally fit to even score that many goals.
It is a two way thing, it is either he is not mentally fit to play, or he is very mentally fit to play and score goals in honor of his Grandmother. The assist will surely come and chances for him to finish.

FYI  Halaand Yellow card this weekend is guaranteed - he's going to pull off his shirt for mama when he scores and miss the next game to rest.
He will have to find another way to celebrate when he scores because we all expect him to score.
637  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Drop your predictions for the value of dollar against naira? on: February 16, 2024, 09:50:15 PM
I am not here to discuss the economic hardship that our failing naira is putting on the citizens of the country, I am sure the matter is already discussed in some other threads. I am here to discuss the projections for our naira against the dollar.

In our wildest imaginations, we never would have imagined a time where One dollar will be the equivalent of N1,600 of our naira.

N1,500 was almost seen as the height it will get to, but now we are approaching N2,000 a dollar, and I also do not think that it will be the stop, In maybe the second quarter of the year, I predict one dollar to be almost the equivalent of N2,500 because our government seems to be clueless on what to do. It was not even this bad under the PMB administration.

What are your predictions?

What economic policy do you think can be utilized by the government to stop this trend?
638  Economy / Gambling / Re: What would you like to ask a crypto casino owner? on: February 15, 2024, 09:33:55 PM
So, if you would like to ask anything, drop your questions here.
Ask if they feel any guilt that their business has the potential to breed addicts?

Ask also to know if their casino is making any conscious effort to help people from becoming addicted?
639  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy pressure on: February 15, 2024, 08:36:40 PM
It’s so hard in the current economic climate, all we can do is try our best. You can create a budget to manage expenses effectively & prioritise essential needs. Think about exploring additional sources of income like part time jobs or freelancing. Try to save money by adopting frugal habits & cutting unnecessary expenses. You can take advantage of government assistance programs & maybe seek financial advice from professionals to make informed decisions.
Furthermore, plan very well and for every activity. If you are not married, plan the number of children to have, giving birth to too many children can put you the provider under pressure and financial stress. If you are married already and have children, do not plan to have more, engage in family planning so as to ensure that you do not start expecting any new children you do not really want.

Also, because the economic situation is not peculiar to you, there are friends and family members that may want to start depending on you for financial assistance, do what you can, but do not exceed your limits, or put yourself under the pressure to want to meet all their financial needs. You have to conserve more money now, invest and save for the days when you will need it.
640  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What price will Bitcoin miners be after Halving!? on: February 15, 2024, 08:10:58 PM

Let me know what you guys think i sincerely am looking forward to buy myself a miner just don't know when is the time!  Smiley
Generally speaking when it comes to buying any form of equipment, electronics etc the best time to buy is always now instead of procrastinating because with every passing day there is a chance that the price of every material, equipment or electronic in the market will increase because of the general tightening economic situation in every country.

If you want to get equipment, and you are sure, buy them now.
