621  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think about owning and selling your content on social media? on: January 13, 2022, 10:06:27 PM
I think a little more explanation on this would have been helpful for people to understand what you're trying to talk about here. When you say owning your content online, are you trying to say that people will own a particular content that they write online, and when readers wants to read it they would have to pay them for it?

I have seen quite a few platforms that are similar to what you are talking about here. Take for example, steemit.com is one of the platforms where users write content, and when readers appreciate their contents they drop a like on it, and the more likes that the writers are able to get, the more that they are going to be paid for the content that they create on the platform.

So, I am guessing that you mean something like that, or maybe you’re trying to say that readers may have to buy the content from the writers?
622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 13, 2022, 09:28:25 PM
Honestly it looks like Barcelona played a great offensive game and aside from being unlucky they were definitely on the roll offensively. However, their defense still needs to be a lot more strict, they still ended up losing the game because of the goals they got scored. It is simple, they are just focusing on the zone a lot and not their man enough, realizing this, smart players like Benzema ended up slacking a lot behind so that Barcelona defenders would cover where he "should" be and not where he is.

Look at the second goal, his defensive guy goes back to defense while he stays behind a little, that should have not happened and he should have been marked as a great scoring threat. All in all I would say that with some more better defensive plays, they will be great. Pedro and Fati are two young players who promise a lot for them in the future, I can see them getting better and better.
623  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: January 13, 2022, 08:44:27 PM
This is a risky endeavour. NFTs themselves are gimmicks basically and taking loans by using them as collateral is absolutely insane if you ask me.

Rollbit is basically gambling using this high risk, high reward approach and I don't think it will be feasible in the long-term. On the other hand, the risk factor for NFT owners is way lower in comparison.
They might also be taking some precautionary measures before providing any collateral loan as why would they go in such high risk features that would turn them into loss? Like the laon could be given about 80% of the value of that particular NFT and later on non repayment of loan it could be sell again on the marketplace. The team might have thought about the same as they evaluate all the risk factors beforehand launching any feature.
I believe that if you owned the NFT and wanted to sell it, you would probably sell it for much lower than what rollbit would sell it. Let's assume that there is a buyer, who would he want to buy from? You, or rollbit itself? This is why the loan scheme could work, not because it makes sense in logic but because of the credibility rollbit has.

In this situation, we are talking about them getting something like a proper amount for the risk they are carrying only because they are rollbit. Try to do an NFT collateral based lending business yourself and you will end up with a big loss, whereas if Rollbit does it and only to their own NFT's as well, aka rollbots, then they could actually sell it for a decent money.

Hence, yeah the idea sucks and it should not work in most cases, but at the same time we are talking about something that could work only in this situation.
624  Economy / Economics / Re: This why wall street are rich and you are poor on: January 13, 2022, 07:48:43 PM
I think what the OP is trying to say here is that when you have more money to invest in an asset, then the return you are likely to gain from the asset will be more than when the capital you are investing is less. He is right, because when you invest less money in all these types of assets, the profit you are gaining wouldn’t be as much as those who invest bigger amount of money (the whales).

So, the problem for an investor can be finance; when you don’t have enough money to invest in an asset, then you will be unable to make better profit. He then pointed out that Wall St. investors would usually borrow money to invest in the stocks or assets of their choice for them to be able to multiply their profits.
The percentage rate of what you are gaining is the same, and considering if you are poor, the amount you are getting into is the amount you can afford. The problem with the difference is that whales do not have living cost worries, so they live like nothing has happened if they invest a million dollars, or 2 million, they are the same for them. Whereas we save from our daily lives and put that aside and send money accordingly.

This is what gets me, I mean if we can't even pay for our regular life, how could we invest, how could we get better? Liberals will say "pull yourself up by the bootstraps" and all, but as long as there are population crisis, too many educated people, very little pay for the same job, can't even afford a house and many other stuff, then I am sorry but we are going to end up seeing these type of problems all the time. It is not going to change any time soon.
625  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Most Popular Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - Watford & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: January 13, 2022, 06:00:07 PM
It is subjective ofc, some people may think the decision was not good because there is to long gap for the next bonus but some other may think it was good enough since there were many promotion during December so they could use it to participate in the other promotions.
I'm in the side where I think the decision was reasonable or good enough.
The complain comes because some users need to wait for another monthly bonus longer than usual because the previous one was sent in the beginning of the month.
Now when it is getting closed to the middle of the month (the time when Stake is used to send the monthly bonus), they sent a pre monthly bonus while most users are waiting for monthly.
I'm not complaining at all in this case as I'm patient enough to wait Smiley
I would guess that doing it at the same exact day every single month would be a much smarter choice. I mean I get that the December month was something special so that people could participate in the December festivities however that didn't stop them from coming back to regular period so quickly. If they come out and say that from now out it will be same date every single month, let's assume 1st of every month, or 10th, doesn't matter, then we could have peace finally.

I mean it is not even that much of a big deal for me, I do not wager a lot like you guys, so I do not get much, if it was cancelled, I would be upset for like 30 seconds at the most and that's it. Obviously if I gambled millions like some other people then I would definitely end up very upset for days and even few weeks because it is such a huge money but even in that case you just have to get over it.
626  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want your happiness. on: January 13, 2022, 05:26:02 AM
I am sorry for the kind of experience that you have had in trading cryptocurrency.

Yeah, it is usually not easy, but the experience that we get is what builds us to be better at what we do. Sometimes you never really get better until you fail at something, that’s when you realize the areas that you are meant to be putting in more of hard work.

I am wishing you success in any other thing that you choose to do, and moreover don’t forget that if you are not really good at day trading, you can still try to just hold Bitcoin and sell it when the price goes up. You can be targeting the right time to invest in the market, which is when the market is low in price, then you can invest and hold it for a long time.
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: January 12, 2022, 10:05:10 PM
Today there was a press confress and for the first time ever a Turkish driver will be racing in formula 2. He was in formula euro open series and all that but never really under the official foruma league. Cem Bolukbasi is his name, and I loved watching his streams, as I follow as many F1 esports streamers as I can, I watched him as well (still prefer lando, lol) and Cem wasn't even racing in real life at that time. He was just a streamer who was making a good amount of money, and played thousands upon thousands, probably over 10k+ hours on racing F1 game.

So to move from that into real racing, first given chances with different cars, and then last year with euro open series, and now this year with F2, that is going to be wild. Why is this so important? So far, you had to have karting and other experiences to get to F1, and you still do, but getting sponsors and money was a very hard thing.

What Cem showed us is that you could both learn to race with karting, but also stream and gain fans and be followed and that is how you could make your own money and invest into your career, and also get a lot of sponsors as well. Who wouldn't want to sponsor a driver who will be in formula and has 10k+ viewers each stream?
628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some people I can use as a reference to add enthusiasm to being in bitcoin. on: January 12, 2022, 08:14:55 PM
There are still so many other people who has contributed to the cryptocurrency community, and also are like icons that you can look up to. So, many people has been able to achieve a lot and turn their life around through the investment that they have made in cryptocurrency or by being part of the founders of a particular project.

The opportunities that you are going to get in the cryptocurrency market are too many, it’s then left for you to utilize the opportunity you have at hand. And you being someone that got to know about cryptocurrency in 2020 doesn’t take that opportunity away from you, you still have that chance to succeed as much as those that has been around for a long time. just lay down your plans and follow the plan for as long as you can, and try to have patience.

Honestly collecting from the faucet is not a bad way, sure it doesn't pay out too much but at the end of the day you are getting something for free and it takes like a minute to do that at the most, just one click. I would say 200+ is possible, even 1000+ is possible and you could start to earn something for free without doing anything. As we all know it is not going to be a huge amount but the more you earn the more you can reinvest and the more you reinvest the more you will earn.

This is how most business' grow as well, they do not really make a profit and use that money to live, they just reinvest it all and live in big debt for a while until they grow super huge, Amazon literally broke into profit levels just recently and it has been working since before 2000. I feel like if you do this for years, you will reach to a point where you won't just make 1 cent per day, but you will make few dollars per day, eventually of course and not right away, will take years but the possibility is there.
630  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Most Popular Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - Watford & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: January 12, 2022, 05:43:50 PM
why complain about the pre-monthly and the delay in the Monthly.. if you get a pre-monthly? Eddie has often said that a pre-monthly is not a given... sometimes it happens and sometimes it does not. Just be grateful that a pre-monthly was given and that you still get some money back from the Weekly /pre-monthly/Monthly/Post-Monthly whenever it is given.

These things can be taken away at a drop of a hat and then there will be something people can complain about. I am just glad that Stake are paying us these bonuses.  Wink
This is like saying "if you work for a salary but you are given a bonus, then why are you still asking for your salary?". I mean because they are two different things? If you were given a bonus at your work, would you stop asking for salaries? Even at sales jobs where you get a cut from the sales, you still get a salary on top of that which is why people got the pre-monthly, but asking for monthly as well since that is the guaranteed one.

If they weren't given the pre-monthly then they would understand, I mean if you are getting your salary but no bonus then you would be upset but you would understand it, but you will ALWAYS ask for your salary no matter what. Don't get me wrong, I am fine with it getting postponed, I am just saying that the way you approached it was the wrong way of doing it, more of a "stake never scammed anyone, wait and you will get it" approach would have been better.
631  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IS it possible to let your BTC work for you ? on: January 12, 2022, 10:39:27 AM
Basically when you are holding cryptocurrency, the value for that cryptocurrency either increases or decreases as the market keeps fluctuating. And there are also lots of wallets that you can make use of that doesn’t even require you to do any KYC, and some of those wallets are like the Trust wallet, Exodus wallet,Coinomi wallet and a lot more of them.

So, if you are OK with just holding your Bitcoin in your wallet and waiting for the value to increase, then you can simply make use of any of these non-KYC wallets to hold your Bitcoin, and when the value increases, you can decide whether to sell it or not.

If you are looking for anything more than that, then you are likely to make use of platforms that will require you doing KYC. Although there are exchanges that would allow you to make use of their platform to an extent without KYC.
632  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Want To Ask - Crypto Arbitrage Scanner on: January 12, 2022, 04:55:55 AM
I am looking for an application, website or software that automatically scans arbitrase opportunities.

Do you have any recommendations?
There are bots to notify about the price gaps across exchanges but you need to catch the differences; it means when I tried with such bots, the price difference became insignificant before my bitcoin deposit got enough network confirmations. From my experiences, I learned that arbitrage might be possible and decently profitable only for the traders who own accounts in at least 10 different crypto exchanges which includes possible KYC mandatory exchanges.

There are telegram channels who continuously post about gaps in price levels as arbitrage opportunity but when checking they do consider only "Last-Traded-Price" and if you go for buying and selling then you will find no buyer to fulfill your order at the price of higher than your buying price level.

You can simply find price gaps using coinmarketcap's market page manually but very rarely you may find decently profitable arbitrage opportunity hence may not worth the time and efforts.
633  Economy / Economics / Re: Peter McCormack: 'Bitcoin has WON the war on money'. Do you agree? on: January 11, 2022, 10:03:38 PM
In a recent interview on the Futurati Podcast (https://youtu.be/TLHPzPbu5JU?t=848) Bitcoin heavyweight Peter McCormack claimed that Bitcoin would beat out fiat, gold, and other cryptocurrencies to become the money of the future.

Wondering what your thoughts are.
I definitely don't agree that there is a "war" between Bitcoin and fiat money(or between BTC and any other financial asset). There is no "kill or be killed" on the financial markets. The investors have choice and they could choose both BTC and traditional financial assets,in order to diversify their portfolio.
Bitcoin outperformed traditional financial assets, but I don't think that Bitcoin is ever going to completely "destroy" them and make them obsolete.
All those bullish predictions about Bitcoin becoming "the money of the future" are just what they are-opinions and wishful thinking.
In fact, I will take it a step further and say that there were never really a "war" between fiat and crypto. It was about regulations, corruption, centralization, power grap, politicians, banks and many other stuff, the law is made by the powerful for the powerful and decisions in a country is usually based on whoever is closest to the president and the high level officials which is why it is a crooked system. So, there was nothing wrong with fiat, you can still have a very powerful and fair dollars if the people who run the country were fair, but that this doesn't change the fact that we are talking about something that is just tech related or law related.

We are talking about crypto vs fiat and there were never really anything against fiat, it was about how fiat was used and that is the biggest problem. Which is why I believe no war has been won since no war has been wagered.
634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why I prefer Bitcoin over any other assets and dips don't panic me.... on: January 11, 2022, 09:24:09 PM
Hey OP, you are right, bitcoin is a really good investment. But, I do notice that there are some people who say that they never take their profit, due to one reason or another, maybe they are trying to hold it for a lifetime or so. For me that doesn’t seem quite reasonable, because if you are investing in an asset, your main reason for investing is because you want to make profit. So why then are you really planning to hold this for a lifetime?

Anyone who is investing in cryptocurrency should be taking their profit whenever they can. I’m for sure there is every possibility that the market would keep on increasing as time goes on, every year we’re always going to be seeing the market increasing in value. So it’s a really good investment and it’s not something for one to miss out on.
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Profitable coin for 2022 on: January 10, 2022, 10:03:49 PM
There are so many coins I have in mind, but I’m not really sure how good they will perform this year. I know most of the altcoins in the market has been going down the same way that Bitcoin has been dropping in price value. But I still think that before the year runs out, there’s going to be a change in the alt coins market, because it’s like the usual thing that happens every time that we see the Bitcoin bullish trend. The year that usually follows after the Bitcoin bulls market would always be for the altcoins increasing in value.
People are still unsure about when to get in. We all know that the price dropped, that part is still obvious but people know what happened, none of us know what will happen. So at the end of the day, people are worrying that maybe something even worse could happen and that is why they are staying away from getting all-in. How do we know?

If people got in so much then the price would have gone up, whenever there is a bulk entry to bitcoin or crypto in general then we learn more about it. We need to realize that there are some stuff we can't really do, it is not really a big deal, we do not have to predict the future but if we know that it is low right now, then we do not have to wait for it to get even lower, we just need to realize this is low enough and get in, if it goes up then we profit and no problem, if we get any lower then we will have to just wait a bit more.
636  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: January 10, 2022, 09:22:31 PM
The primary reason I enjoy playing at Roobet is because it has proven to be a good and honest casino. However, I was initially drawn to it for the anonymity it offered its players back then. Then came KYC. I found the introduction of the KYC to be a bump on the road that I had to deal with in order to continue using the platform. Fortunately, the Level 1 KYC only requires basic personal information. Had that not been the case, I would have had to "suffer" at some other online casino.  Wink
I would say that them being a good casino is still a valid point even after they started to ask KYC, that has nothing to do with the part where they are taking KYC from the customers, I have to say that KYC just made it a little bit more open to alternatives. I mean surely there are other places where KYC is not asked, and people started to ask "should I pick this kycless place, or roobet?" and that is the problem they started to face after they opened this whole thing up.

In any other situation, I would say it was a wrong move but they are trying to be as legit as possible and be available in as many nations as possible which requires KYC to be asked, that is why I believe that there is nothing to be done after this point, it's done and they are not going back on that. So, we just have to accept that either we will give our KYC and play here, or we just find another kycless place to play.
637  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: January 10, 2022, 06:40:03 PM
Klopp won one champions league with them so that must have paid out the other years I hope? English teams have the only big "7 titles in a season" chance, there are some other smaller leagues out there that is possible but English is the biggest one, let us drink for Liverpool to be the first ever team to be able to do that next season.

I am not a Liverpool fan but I have been here on this topic a lot and I have not met with many people who openly talked about their favorite teams, I have said before which team I support and they are in 8th division so they are a null point to be fair. So, the only ones I know are you and lfc_bitcoin and I feel like for some reason I imagine he is a Liverpool fan Cheesy. This is why if they are good and win every single thing, I know two online friends who would be very happy and that would be great for all of us earning via our bets as well.
It is understandable to favor one team over the other when it comes to being friends with people around here, I have known people here as well and I like Liverpool because of that so I understand your point of view. But, I do not really like to support teams at the top levels, like Liverpool, city, united all of these are too big for my own taste, Newcastle is a whole political issue so I am not even going into that.

This is why I preferred Leeds so far, and after that Watford became a bit more my favorite because sportsbet.io sponsored them and now some other place in crypto world does, and now Southampton too.

So, I have 3 teams that I would like to see staying away from relegation, not winning the title, I know none of those teams will win the title, hell none of them will finish top half of the table neither, Southampton at 14th, Watford at 17th and Leeds at 16th shows that I just like the underdog teams.
638  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When trading bitcoin at robinhood, do I watch BTCUSD or BTCUSDT? on: January 09, 2022, 07:29:34 AM
following BTCUSD seems to make sense to a newbie like me.  But, then I keep seeing youtubers watching BTCUSDT in their tradingview screens.
You may go for anyone based on which is having higher volume. When a trading pair is having higher volume then there would be lesser manipulations by whales. As of now, USD and USDT can be treated same in this crypto space but in future USDT may not remain as it is today hence you need to make sure that there is no major news is going about USDT before start watching it.

USDT is token to represent dollars in crypto space and issued by Bitfinex securities Ltd (just another centralized corporate hence you cannot rely on it on long term).

The only problem Tradingview doesn't have Robinhood exchange.
Robinhood is an exchange? Never heard about. Not sure why people do think that basics of trading changes with different exchanges.
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selling isn't the end it's just the beginning to have more coins on: January 08, 2022, 10:31:42 PM
I understand that some people may not be in favor of holding for long term and feeling like they are missing out on a chance.

If you buy at 20, sell at 15 and rebuy at 7 then you are making a profit basically, so you are right that if you "can" do that, you should do that. However, the long term holders like me do not care about it, I just don't really think that I could make that kind of trading and I may mess that up, buy at 20, sell at 15 to buy lower, then it goes up and I have to reenter at 20 again losing a lot of money.

This is totally possible and I believe that we should not be really focusing on who should do what. Sure if you are 100% certain that you can do it then you should do it but if you are not certain that you could do it then you should stay away from these things. I like long term holding because I do not have trust in myself to be able to trade that way.
640  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | Instant BTC,ETH & LTC withdraws | VIP | on: January 08, 2022, 09:55:32 PM
there will always be one or two persons on every casino that will undoubtedly put forward scam accusations against that particular casino without any proof.I am not saying there are not problems witn casino because sometimes there are withdrawal related issues and if you are right and have proofs then claim is settled but simply coming to discussion thread and out of frustration of losing you can't say that casino is fraud but still we see such things almost everywhere.
The funny part is always the people who end up saying things like "I have lost x times in a row and that should not be possible". Like as if luck and chances are somehow related, you could literally lose hundreds of times on a 50% bet, surely it would be very low chance but it is totally possible. It is something like 20%+ chance to lose 10+ times in a row if you have 5k bets.

So, these people keep having gamblers fallacy and end up thinking they are just always right. Casinos have a hard job, it is not even that much of a profitable business to own a casino since you do not know when a gambler may end up winning a huge amount by luck making you down for the quarter. Kudos to all the casinos like duelbits out there to survive in this weird online bully period.
