That ROS vs. Phoenix game was a thriller! Do you happen to know the betting odds for it? The ending was intense, especially that last-second sequence. Phoenix got lucky grabbing the ball after Perkins missed the 3-point attempt. They scrambled, and with only 1 second left, ROS fouled Phoenix's import. If ROS had snagged that rebound, who knows, the outcome might have been different. Whatta game!!!!

Import vs Import production, the win goes to the Phoenix.

Williams 29 points
Summers 15 points

That game was a real entertainer. It looks like Coach Yeng's return to his old team might not be a smooth ride. The team has undergone changes, and it's unclear whether his coaching style has kept pace with the new dynamics. With three losses already this season, ROS is yet to secure a win, posing a significant challenge for Coach Yeng in steering the team towards qualifying the quarterfinals.

On another note, Converge is also facing a tough start at 0-3.
That was a solid game unfortunately it didn't favor ROS despite of them playing a good game.
This is a process, and coach Yang should start adjusting because his old strategy might not be applicable anymore, that 0-3 start record is not good at all, if they really want to advanced to the next round then they should start doing something because they will face bigger teams on their next game.

It seems like the import had an off night. Despite being on a three-game losing streak, Summers showed some promising performances in the last two games, scoring 32 points against Northport and 27 points against the Meralco Bolts. Hopefully, there will be more opportunities in the future, and when they start winning, it will be a more consistent trend.

Looking ahead, they have some tough matchups in the next two games, facing Ginebra first and then SMB. The losing streak might increase as it's unlikely they'll win against these two teams which are stronger than the teams that have beaten them.

What do you think about Clarkson's outstanding performance? The dude scored an impressive 37 points against the Suns, probably marking his season high.

He was absolutely on fire not just in this game, but also in the ones before it.

He had some solid shooting, going 14-26, with 5 of those shots coming from beyond the arc. What's even more impressive is that he didn't have a single turnover.

Seems like the Jazz got a good deal with his current salary. Clarkson's proving he's worth more than what he's currently earning.

Haney and Davis could wait as Shakur is still young,
Likely to happen.

he just to make sure that his next fight is impressive.
Unlikely to happen.

=======
Guys, don't get your hopes up for an entertaining fight if Shakur wins. If he keeps up his current pace, it means he's dictating the fight with his run-and-gun style, and that usually leaves fans unsatisfied. You know how it goes......they complain that Shakur is boring, yet they still shell out their money hoping for a different outcome. Some things never change!
624  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot trading or future trading which trading is best for beginers? on: November 17, 2023, 09:35:46 PM
Newbies are not supposed to trade in the first place, whether its spot or futures trading. There is high risk in trading and once you decide to trade clueless, you will never be successful with your desires to be a good trader. Its better to study the market first and create good market analysis, and settle to investing and long term hodling before embracing the challenges in trading.

Trading can be learned in time but you also have to exert a lot of effort and hard work to make it happen. And by letting yourself consistently experience what's there to experience in the trading market, then the eagerness and skills development will eventually take place in time.
625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there fewer women Than men involved in Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2023, 08:53:54 PM
This thread has been discussed already numerous times but I will still give my own points of view about this.

First, bitcoin requires higher risk than other type of investments. And men are highly risk takers in all life's aspects most especially when it comes to money and newest innovation that will certainly create positive changes in their lives. They want to explore everything that seems new to them. Second, men do not fear from losing and they want to risk even their hard-earned money just to be satisfied with the outcome. As many people say, no risk, no gain. The reason why men are more assertive in all they do and just love to be more independent more than women.

The Hotshots have been winning games dominantly, so covering the high spread shouldn't be a problem. The game kicks off in 10 minutes, so we should get that bet ready. Personally, I'll wait for the game to go live and do some betting. Last time, they only really picked up steam in the second half, so I might hold off until the first half is over, hoping that Magnolia will be trailing by points. I can then make a bet with a better spread and odds.

I hope you have placed your bet before the game started mate. Magnolia blew NorthPort starting from the first quarter, the lead balloon to as high as 20 points, hard to place bets when you favor Magnolia on that stage of the game. Magnolia haven't lose a game yet since that mini tourney, they been on a 14-game winning streak if i'm not wrong.

I'm just lucky that my bet on "under 208.5" win as Magnolia and NorthPort's average is more than a 100 but fortunately, NorthPort had a bad night tonight.

First off, thank you for the congratulations on the win. As for my bet, I couldn't pull the trigger since they were dominating early. I couldn't find good value with the high spread, and I was looking for the opposite. Maybe it's just not my time yet, but I'm still happy that my prediction turned out to be correct.

On the second game tonight, i have Converge -8.5 @1.90 vs Ginebra. First game of the Kings, might have problem with chemistry.

Good luck with that! The game seems to be a close one, with Ginebra only leading by 2 points now. But it's still too early to worry, as Ginebra could have a big run at any time, and before you know it, they might beat their opponent by a huge margin.
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Stevenson vs De Los Santos - Nov 16 on: November 17, 2023, 12:13:29 PM

So much for Shakur trying to knockout Edwin in this fight. I do agree, it was one of the worst main event for this year. There was no action on the part of Shakur and he seems to be just going thru the motions.

I think it is more about not getting hit because De Los Santos has a good knockout percentage, Shakur is exposed here at the lightweight level he is fast he's defense is good but lacks the power to deliver, Gervonta and Haney will just smoke him, I'm sure Haney is mocking him and laughing at his performance if ever they make a deal to fight I have Shakur the underdog on this fight.
De Los Santos may have a good record but he is not considered a top-level fighter at the level of Haney and Gervonta Davis.

But Haney and Davis are out of the radar as the next opponent of Shakur as far as Uncle Bob Arum is concerned. He wants to test his ward against Navarrete, just read that one on his interview but if that fight won't happen then there is Loma waiting in the wings to fight for the championship belt as a rematch with Haney won't happen.

Bob is playing it smart; being a veteran in the sport, he's still raking in a lot of money. As a promoter, he's not going to set up a fight for Shakur against a tough opponent who's also a champion. I wonder what would happen to Shakur if he fought Davis. The latter is a genuine KO artist and could keep up with Shakur's pace, so he should avoid that matchup at all costs.

Quote
All I could say is that "styles make a fight". If two counter-punchers meet in the ring, we should expect a snore feast and yes they delivered what was expected of them at least for me.

It might look good on paper since both are undefeated, but it's almost certain it won't be an entertaining fight, so it's unlikely to happen, and fans probably won't buy tickets. Let's backtrack a bit, have we ever seen Mayweather fight a boxer with a similar style? Nope, not really, right?
628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 17, 2023, 07:52:28 AM
It was a thrilling game, but the bettors ended up feeling let down in the end.

Anyway, we've got two games today. Maybe we can bounce back from our losses if we double down, hehe.

The first game is Magnolia vs. Northport, and the second game is Ginebra vs. Converge. Let's check if this Ginebra team is still super risky, even without Brownlee. For the favorites, we have the spreads and odds  below.

Hotshots -8.5
Ginebra -7.5

I'd lean towards the hotshots, but I'm a bit unsure about how Ginebra will perform. Since it's their first game, they might be a bit rusty, similar to what happened with SMB when they couldn't maintain their big lead. Plus, Ginebra has a new import, so it's smart to wait and see if he'll click with his teammates.

I might go for the under on the total (haven't checked it yet) because I think they'll stick to their defensive style – that's just their nature.

629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 17, 2023, 06:44:46 AM
The Lakers are “showing interest” in Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, & Alex Caruso. Basically, the Lakers are going to try all they can to get a win out of the Bulls need for a rebuild. With Anthony Davis having shown interest in going to Chicago, something big could be happening with this. Getting Zach LaVine and Caruso while dumping Anthony Davis would be a huge win for them in my book.

Davis' systematic injuries are certainly his big drawback and a problem for both the Lakers and Davis himself. By the way, in the game against the Kings, he seemed to aggravate his injury again... However, I personally think the Lakers won't want to give him to the Bulls because trading a top PF for a PG and SG doesn't seem like the best idea. If such a trade were to happen, the Lakers would be too weak in the paint. That is not a good thing.

Agreed. They would most definitely need to sign another big man. I could see them sharing the role between multiple players and maybe bringing in someone like DeMarcus Cousins (who says he would still be a top 5 center in the league). I’m sure there are other potential free agents out there as well. What I’m reading seems to suggest they can get Zach Lavine for DeAngelo Russell & Rui, but I’m not sure I’d be willing to trade Rui.

I like how Rui able to fit himself with the Lakers. He was a major player in their last playoff run, stepping up big time on defense and really boosting the team's overall performance. Now, about D'lo, I'm all for trading the guy. He's been inconsistent enough, and let's face it, he tends to go missing in action during the playoffs. Maybe trading him could snag a solid big man who'd do great on the defense.

And....., talking about centers, the Warriors might want to think over grabbing one. That small ball lineup's cool and all, but they've gotta watch out for getting exploited. Time to improve that defense a bit, you know?
630  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there still hope for the price of BTC to hit back $69k this year? on: November 16, 2023, 08:33:43 PM
I was waiting for the price of BTC to reach $40k in this month of August, before I will believe that $69k is possible before the end of this year 2023 which is the wish of many investors in the community. But the price started decreasing from $30k to $26k to create a great fear into the mind of those that is hoping for the price to increase above $30k before they can start thinking of how to visit the market to supply to make a good profits. With this slow move of the price of BTC in this season, I don't think the price will hit back to $69k before the end of this year because the green light is not stable like the way it was stable last two years to reach $69k for both long term investors and short term investors to experience huge amount of money from their investment. Do you believe that there is still hope for investors to experience $69k this year? Because we just have 3 months and some weeks before the end of this year. What is you hope for this current price?
With the current price performance of bitcoin in the market, I'm optimistic to say that $69k will be easily reached or even surpassed before the year ends.  But it never means that bitcoin price will go straightforward and create a new all time high. That is not how bitcoin works. Expect that we will come to experience some price decline first in preparation for its new all time high. Although this is still not a sure guarantee that we are actually heading there because of market volatility, but rest assured that we will come up with a new all time high, if not this year, then probably after the bitcoin halving.
631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 16, 2023, 12:13:03 PM
Sacramento has proved once again that the Kings are the best team in California. Sabonis absolutely manhandled Anthony Davis, showing that Davis is soft and will never be the player the Lakers thought he would be. If you asked me 2 years ago if the Kings would ever be the best team in California I would have said not for a long time, but that’s clearly the case now.

I love it, a silent underrated team. They're now in a 4 straight win and they just beat the Lakers for the second time this season. What made it better is they won in LA.

Hopefully, they learned a lot last season and will do better in the coming playoff games. But I am not underestimating the Warriors, the Lakers, and the Clippers since these teams are too well experienced. The regular season is far from playoff games where every team is willing to do everything to get a win.
They beat a complete LA Lakers team; they seem to have really improved. I'm proud of this team because the assistant coach is our very own Jimmy Alapag, so the success of this team is also a success for his career.

It's really different in the playoffs, though, but the Sac Kings have been in the playoffs, played against the defending champion last playoffs, and gave them a good series. So, I guess they are really for real.

But if there's a betting odd on which California teams do better in the regular season, I am also taking the Kings over the other 3 teams.

I haven't come across that kind of odds, though. What I know is the odds on the total wins this season (under/over) and the championship odds.
632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Stevenson vs De Los Santos - Nov 16 on: November 16, 2023, 11:32:50 AM

Obviously Shakur is way below the 135 pounds limit. Nevertheless I don't see any problem with it. There's some trash talking during the face off, however, I understand that Edwin speak little English. But obviously, boxing has no language barrier, someone's ass gonna be whoop this weekend though.

Shakur initiates the thrash talk and Delos Santos has his corner to translate for him, Shakur is just playing Shakur we know that he is always like that imposing his character and his will against opponents that he think he can beat, we hope De Los Santos will surprise him and not intimidated comes fight night, this is an exciting fight to watch because both fighters have a good record, but Shakur has too much experience against De Los Santos so I'm sure he'll come out the winner and could be a stoppage in the latter rounds.
There could be some translations, but I don't know how effective could have been if they really understand each other perfectly. I still remember Broner giving Marcos Maidana a lot of trash talking but then during weigh-in but Broner face has no emotions because simply he don't speak English and so he doesn't understand what Broner is trying to say.
You mean Maidana showed no emotion... But in that fight, that's where the career of Broner got ruined because Maidana humiliated him with his vicious attacks. However, Shakur is different because he is at the top level. When Maidana fought Broner, he already had Mayweather as a problem in their fight prior to that, so we can say that he really is a great boxer.

But I do agree that with Shakur experience fighting high caliber boxers, it could be just like a tune up fight for him. And hopefully Frank Martin, his original opponent will be next for him so that we will see a almost level fight as Martin for me is a level up compare to Edwin.

Shakur should not take it too seriously, so Frank Martin will be interested in fighting him. Because if Shakur comes out dominant again, no one would want to dance with him in the ring unless they are a mandatory opponent.
633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 16, 2023, 05:45:43 AM
Speaking of Terrence Romeo, wow, he's hot in the first half with 19 points and have not missed from the rainbow country, 4 out of 4.

SMB will win this game easy, Romeo at the first half already made a huge contribution and it seems like he is now fully healthy, the TR47 is back!

So without JB for Ginebra, this team is really the team to beat, if NLEX would not be able to come back in the 2nd half, I'm afraid that SMB will win by a huge margin and the spread of -6.5 will be easily covered. 55% from 3 point line so far for SMB in the first half, let's see if Romeo would continue his hot shooting, you know it's hard to stop him once he build his confidence as he is a streaky shooter.

This was my prediction after the first half, but it turns out I was wrong. Sad

NLEX did not give up on the game, despite trailing by a huge margin. They worked really hard to get back in the game, especially their import, who you could already tell was exhausted but still kept playing. Classic game! That's the kind of game we want to see as PBA fans. Although I lost my bet on this, I don't feel bad, as I was enjoying the whole time watching the game.

By the way, have you noticed that "SMART Live streaming" is so delayed? Good thing we have some alternatives from other streams (though illegal).
634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi were here, what question would you ask about the future of Bitcoin on: November 15, 2023, 09:47:07 PM
Recent developments have brought some form of uncertainties regarding the future of Bitcoin. Consequently,
several posts have been raised to that effect yet they are left with no clear answers. If we were to go back to the roots, Satoshi himself would have been in the position to answer some of the key questions such as:

1. The fate of Bitcoin as regards to high fees when the block reward gets to zero

2. If He envisaged things like Ordinals being launched on the Bitcoin Network.

3. If he actually projected mainstream adoption of Bitcoin in term of the features of Bitcoin such as speed, security, accessibility as cost effectiveness, base on present realities.

There should be others so I feel we can make this a discussion while I expect answers from those who have.
Satoshi is responsible of his own invention but I don't think he can answer your questions clearly as none us even Satoshi can rightly predict what's in store for bitcoin in the future. We are dealing with an unpredictable market here so even Satoshi has no in control about it. But one thing is certain, I just want to acknowledge the brilliant idea of Satoshi, as without bitcoin, we can never experience the success brought about by bitcoin.

Although I have lots of questions in my mind, but I guess Satoshi deserves more appreciation and big thank you than trying to interrogate him about the future of bitcoin.
635  Economy / Economics / Re: Are You Sticking to Your Plan or Has Life Made You Pause or Modify It? on: November 15, 2023, 08:55:22 PM
We often advise newcomers asking about successful Bitcoin investment strategies to have a well-structured plan and stick to it no matter what. Nevertheless if there is anything I have learned is that in bitcoin investment it  is rarely a linear journey. And despite our best intentions and meticulous planning, unforeseen circumstances can disrupt our initial plans. For the community I want to know, has your investment plan always unfolded as expected or have unexpected events caused you to pause or modify your plan? Despite our best efforts there are instances where sticking rigorously to a plan becomes challenging due to the unpredictable nature of life.
Sticking to your plan is only found in book. Because in reality, there's no such fixed and concrete plans when you are doing an investment most especially in such an unpredictable market. Although it's best if you are doing long-term preparation on your investment, but that does not free you from having unexpected events that may cause your investment to fail especially if you don't see it coming. It's better to stay open about the outcome of your investment, be flexible and transparent as you can't control whatever your investment has to offer.

However, whenever we see changes on our investment, that does not mean that we should stop from pursuing it but it becomes a big challenge for us on how we will come to succeed on it despite of its unpredictable outcome.
636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For sports bettors, are you attracted with bet builder feature? on: November 15, 2023, 01:44:35 PM
This feature is actually great, better than parlay, I guess.

With the bet builder, you don't have to study a lot of games on the board to be part of your leg to increase the odds, as you can get everything in just one game. Though it's quite limited compared to parlay, I think it's easier to win with the bet builder compared to parlay. But if you are serious about your betting, go with a single bet most of the time; this bet builder could only be good if you like to experience extra fun.

638  Economy / Economics / Re: Will people ever get tired of trading bitcoin? on: November 14, 2023, 09:40:59 PM
I think trading Bitcoin is just for a certain amount of it's users because most of the holders or daily users , don't want to trade and risk their Bitcoin but on the same time , we have the so called "players" where they don't really care what current they are using for trading as long as they make money so to answer your question quickly: No , people will never get tired of trading Bitcoin , especially when it has big swings in price.
For me, trading bitcoin comes with winning and losing at some point. And as long you still see opportunities to earn, then you will never get tired of trading. However, different thing applies if your losses have already outnumbered your winning trades, if it happens consistently, I guess you have to think of it a thousand times if you can still afford to lose more or just settle in bitcoin long term hodling.

Trading bitcoin is not really hard for the experienced traders since they can still find ways to make profits even if the market do not looks good, but for newbies in trading, it gives them a lot of pressure as to how to win their trades despite of its unpredictable market. That creates more challenge in them to prove to theirselves that they can really trade, but if they end up seeing negative outcome frequently, that will really make them feel tired of trading and just accept the fact that they can't be good traders just like other experienced traders.
639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not get scammed by this, specially newcomers. on: November 14, 2023, 08:37:21 PM
One thing to remember when dealing with strangers over the internet especially when you're desperate on the issues you're facing, is never to share any of your financial information like keys, password, and anything that's confidential.
A stranger who sends you a personal message first is a flag and you have to be more careful with any chat with that stranger.

Be very careful with links, documents, files sent to you by any stranger. They can be phishing links, malicious files. Prevention by avoid clicking on links, not download those files is best.

If a stranger asks for sensitive information: personal documents, information, account passwords, seed phrases, private keys, money. You have to refuse to do it, ignore and block that stranger as soon as possible.
Scamming has been rampant online so we have to be more cautious not to fall for it in every way possible.  Even myself has been receiving random messages from strangers online, and the best action for them is to never mind them at all. Keep ignoring all their messages and links being shared to you, they will get tired in the end and vanish. Never open attachments or click on links if the sender is a total stranger, otherwise your private information might be tracked.

Know all the red flags online. Be aware that if they can't get you or make you fall in their trap, they will find other means just to scam you. So be smarter than those scammers and never stop educating yourself because being knowledgeable is a great weapon not to be scammed.
640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A tip for staying resposible while gambling. on: November 12, 2023, 11:13:32 AM
While gambling some people gamble with small amounts which is not very important for them, but for those who are new to gambling and not able to control themselves or play with something reasonable amount.
So I have a tip for them you can stick a real paper money note in front of your monitor which will remind you that money is hard to earn and play responsibly or don't play with big amounts.
the note will remind every time that how you earned that money, and if you are controlled and this tip is not very important for you them you can ignore it, but i found this helpful.

It might work for you, but it's not something I would do. I don't want any distractions during my gambling sessions. I've learned from past mistakes, and that's enough to ensure disciplined gambling for me. What you're suggesting seems like a superstitious belief, LOL. But, of course, if it works for you, you should stick to it. I'm just concerned that having paper money hanging might make me hesitate during a winning moment, so it's not helpful all the time, especially in those situations.
