Is there a block explorer on the right chain yet?

622  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DRILLBIT SYSTEM Miners - Thumbs (Temp NA), 8 Boards (0 left) on: November 30, 2013, 05:17:43 AM
I went to check on my computer and it's 6 hashing boards to find it had lost it's video display again.  Checked my hashrate graph and saw that it had collapsed so those Drillbit boards are causing my computer to have problems.  The thing is, that computer is only powering 1 Eight board and 1 usb drillbit.  All the other boards are being powered by an external power supply and 4 of the USB drillbits are on a powered hub.

I think its caused by the usb bus.  I'm off to reboot and see if it will run with just 4 boards.

I doubt that. Are you trying to mine with your video card at the same time?

Why cryptsy dont stop trade tag until can be sure coins are valid?
It's very important that developers of coins notify the exchanges for the coin if they are doing a hard fork, they don't have time to follow all the coin forum threads to learn about updates. Else the exchange will just delist them and make the coin worthless.

624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TagCoin - The World's First Rewards Coin - MANDATORY UPDATE REQUIRED on: November 30, 2013, 05:08:03 AM
So is it just me or is cryptsy still on the wrong chain? I think a bunch of people are going to be real steamed when they realize that all these coins they are purchasing at .003 btc each are going to poof in a about 12 hours.
Why, what's happening in 12hours?
625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MCXNow Shutting down (Temporary) on: November 30, 2013, 12:34:45 AM

RS is indeed a ghost.

I have paid quite a few BTC over the past couple of years as well done my own research to find him. He has expertly laid out breadcrumb trails that lead to various people that fit his persona.  Well laid out diversions. There's a reason he ran everything himself and trusted no one etc.... it's because he never wanted to compromise his identity.

The reason he doesn't just steal the funds is because about the only people that can track him down won't bother if it is not a criminal situation. Bad investments is not a criminal situation. Good luck finding any criminal office getting too excited about a civil case.

His location is also very much in question. I highly doubt he is Australian as he chats in an American vernacular. He just doesn't "sound" like an Aussie at all and makes very subtle "American" references all the time. I have seen him refer to Burger King a few times in chat. There are no Burger Kings in Australia. His servers have always been located in the USA as well, which also lends reason to why he won't out right steal the funds.

Realsolid wins and wins big.

~BCX~
Burger King is called Hungry Jacks in Australia as there was already a Burger King restaurant in South Australia when they came here. Most people know Hungry Jacks is part of the Burger King franchise.

The way I interpreted it, is that it's just the USB data connection that isn't 100% working yet (but can with the aforementioned workaround). No mention of the miniplane being unable to power the boards.

We await confirmation from Barntech I guess. Smiley
No, that's just a symptom, it will be something in the SPI firmware, which the bitfury chips use to make the chain. The firmware needs to detect how many boards/chips there are, then set up a chain using SPI.

There is a USB problem, but that is most likely separate, the one where multiple boards don't work off the same PC port. Probably some device identification thing.

627  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: buying hardware seems so complicated on: November 29, 2013, 01:16:39 PM
hi everyone

i want to get my hands on any hardware - bulk - group buys whatever... it just seems so complicated. trying to chase up the resellers, they're in business one second out the next.

Who is in the UK and sells mining equipment in bulk?

I've had about 30 tabs open trying to find out the last few hours...
That's because it is complicated. The ASIC chips are over priced and have to be made or aquired in bulk that means you need a lot of cash upfront hence the group buys.

A whole bunch of ASIC vendors have sprung up essentially with no money for R&D so they get crowd funded with pre-orders that have to wait for months. Most other industries don't work like this. I don't think it's a good thing, because normally to get venture capital you need to present a strong management team and business plan. The pre-order caper bypasses this quality assurance, as we have already seen, you end up with many dodgy ASIC vendors.

Hi Barntech,

does the UK orders ship from you includes microUSB cables?
Just a bit confused, do I need one for each or one for one mini plane?
Should make my last order from farnell online today.

Thanks!
This question has been answered many times. The mini plane makes all the boards act as one big chain of bitfury chips, therefore you only need one USB cable.

RealSolid is most likely Ken or Colin Armitt of the cryptoexchange scam.
I didn't think those guys programmed anything more complex than .NET.

She's not a dick because she made 50% ROI in 2 hours.

I just want to know which dick just bought 330 fee shares, after a quick browsing I saw that.

330 fee shares bouight 10 hours ago, prior to that none were sold in that volume, after that, 300 more were bought and only 52 sold. Who made ROI and where? Magically buying many things, doesn't give you a ROI.
I am pretty sure RS bought those, which is a good thing, each cheap fee RS buys back is one less in circulation for the clowns to trade below 0.4BTC.
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TagCoin - The World's First Rewards Coin - MANDATORY UPDATE REQUIRED on: November 29, 2013, 09:53:38 AM
There is a small Australian pool the owner just put up an hour ago if you are desperate:

http://ctompo.dyndns.org/tagmine/

It's only on a DSL tail, so don't throw massive MH/s at it.

It's just a small multi pool some Oveclockers Australia members frequent.

631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZET] Zetacoin - SHA256 coin - Pools up - Quick confirmations on: November 29, 2013, 08:47:54 AM
I've noticed a problem with the Zetacoin server.  The debug.log file does not get placed in the data directory when one is specified using the "-datadir" command line option.  It instead remains in the default location which is ~/.zetacoin

Any way to manually tell the zetacoin server where to put "debug.log"?
Just move the log to where you want it and leave a symbolic link to it in the default dir.

the problem was, i synced using your nodes lol.

redownloading the blockchain

You should try using a connect= statements rather than addnode= for the IPs he gave you to rule out being on the wrong fork.

Just got my 8 board and it's hashing away... first few minutes...

Thanks Barn!!!

Is it getting very hot at that speed?

http://tag.hashfaster.com/ Is currently caught up to the new blockchain and we are not getting tons of Orphans.  Hop on while the Hopin is good.
That's great news, thanks.

635  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DRILLBIT SYSTEM Miners - Thumbs (Temp NA), 8 Boards (0 left) on: November 29, 2013, 03:42:12 AM
Are there any instructions with the Drillbit board, or online somewhere?

636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TagCoin - The World's First Rewards Coin - MANDATORY UPDATE REQUIRED on: November 29, 2013, 03:36:33 AM
Is TAG forked?  Seems that there are two different blockchains out there.

did you read any posts at all?

yes and I can't believe the dev has not resolved it.  How can it still be forks for this long.  This coin cant stand as a currency if it can't maintain a reliable blockchain.
You obviously didn't read it very well, you didn't even bother to read the first post of this thread, or you would have seen that the fix kicks in at block 12,000 we are currently at block 10,913 so a long way to go at 4min per block. The dev should have made it block 11,000 but too late for that now.

637  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DRILLBIT SYSTEM Miners - Thumbs (Temp NA), 8 Boards (0 left) on: November 29, 2013, 02:31:14 AM
Alright, on to the next batch?!

Yes, hopefully barn can find some more chips.
Yeah that could be tricky. The problem with this type of buy is having to gather up money first.

I reckon if Barntech said I have a bunch of boards in stock, first in first served, he would sell twice as many. That's why the block erupters were so successful, as you placed an ordered and you would have them up and mining in a couple of days. I would have bought a couple more Drillbit boards if they were in stock, I am just not prepared to tie up my money for 4 months waiting for a reel of chips to be purchased, then the production etc. as far as I am concerned that's all behind the scenes stuff, the important part to me is the time between when you pay and when you are up and mining.

I am new to TAG, which pools have been updated and are actually working?

I tred http://tag.cryptominer.net/ and just get a blank white page.

stratum+tcp://mine-tag.scryptmining.com:3448 doesn't accept any of my mining output even though I triple checked my worker name and password I have registered there. cgminer says I even found a block but nothing shows on the website.

Same situation here, for so many hours, and quite a balance, not withdrawn. No explanation given, so I'm calling out scam on cryptominer.net. :/

As for the rest, I'd also love to know which pools are updated to the last version!

Slow down, chief.  Torzy's pool isn't a scam.  There was a fork in the network that caused multiple forks to occur.  Everything will go back to normal once the total block count hits 12000.  Until then, transactions and trades on Tagcoin is in limbo.
I understand that, but it doesn't really explain why there is only a blank white page.

Secondly is not going to get to block 12,000 very quickly if you can't mine!

When people run these things up, could I get a current measurement on the 12volt rail for just one board please? I have a Intel atom system I want to power a single board from and I just want to be sure the smallish PSU will handle it. Trying to minimize the mining power consumption without resorting to a Raspberry Pi.
