How so?  ASIC mining has not helped the value of LTC at all.  I realize that all coins have lost value in the last 6 months or so, but if you look at Vertcoin (VTC) its loss has been less than some of the other coins.  I think that's because Vertcoin is ASIC resistant and the little miners are keeping that coin afloat.  If ASICS comes to DMD in a big way, it will hurt the value of the coin in the long term.

i think u missunderstand something here
diamond are mined via groestl algo and without asics
BUT people who have asic equipment and cant mine diamonds (because only GPU/CPU can mine groestl algo)
can use our http://multipool.bit.diamonds/ to get rewarded with DMD for their mining
this is the way asic mining we talking about
(gpu miners can use that multipool too to abuse it when some x1x algo have a good reward ratio
i always switch my GPUs between direct dmd mining and multipool mining whatever provide me more diamonds for my invested electricity)

and this was the success-street of BC who first used coin converting multipools as a tool of creating exchange buy demand
there is nothing wrong with copy that idea
but the impact depends on the hashrate on http://multipool.bit.diamonds/
but its pretty good and stable increasing so i see a bright future for it

and regarding groestl algo asics its just a matter of success
if our plans will be  successful sure in a year or two groestl asics will be reality
but until that happens u have plenty of time dig for dimonds with ur GPUs

Didnt think you could mine diamond coin with an asic HuhHuhHuh

You can't. You can however user your asic to mine in a multipool (Scrypt, SHA256, Scrypt-N, X11, X13, Keccak and X15) which will then exchange the coins into DMD.
http://multipool.bit.diamonds/ here u can get btc auto-converted  into DMD so when u mine somewhere with btc payout on the btc address u get from pool after register ur dmd wallet u will earn DMD

this ASIC mining would actually be big help for DMD as it will provide continuous buy pressure for DMD
it not only would it is :-)
the only thing blocking it is cryptsy wallet on maintainance
i invite every asic owner and dmd friend join us at
http://multipool.bit.diamonds/

@ Cryptonit,

Hi, I have a similar problem regarding wrong blockchain.
I sent coins from exchange to my wallet, and they disappeared in transit. Read some stuff about this and how to retrieve diamond, so backed up wallet.dat, thereby erasing the original wallet.dat. I have since made newer copies of wallet.dat while experimenting to get those coins. (The coins exist in my wallet on blockchain) I have sent a further 1DMD to my wallet and it has arrived, somewhere my wallet doesn't read the other transaction.
Could you please take me through the process for getting the right info to the wallet, I believe it has something to do with downloading private keys?

Regards
Chilo

give me tx id to look up transaction

UPDATE

Slush's pool seem to be working fine also with 0 to few rejects

u can use any btc payout pool if u use the btc address the dmd multipool provide ya
just u wont get lotto tickets and ur hashrate wont show up in stats for any pool beside wafflepool and nicehash

the automated conversion BTC->DMD will work

as long as cryptsy have its wallet in maintainance status
ur btc will be stored in dmd multipool until DMD withdraws again possible on cryptsy
so mo mining is lost just the conversion towards dmd is delayed

if u still wana try with nicehash they have a nice guide regarding  stratum proxy

https://www.nicehash.com/docs/connect-via-proxy/

Hi all

I am trying to point an antminer s3 at  http://multipool.bit.diamonds/.  Unfortunately I am getting close to 100% rejects.  The s3 is working fine with 0 rejects at eligius.st.

Can anyone offer some pointers about this issue?

Thanks

u register ur dmd wallet address at http://multipool.bit.diamonds
then u can see whats ur btc target address u have to use as username at sha256  nicehash mining
and all btc that get send to that btc address our multipool will convert into dmd

u config ur miner as u can read  in the user manual of ur mining equipment
and as server u choose
server: stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3334
user: enter_here_ur_btc_wallet_u_get_from_dmd_multipool
password: x

example
cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3334 -u 1CtQKu4X6wJtEz5kGudSACwbXsiGEaFSG4 -p x

on one side windows mining was a total disaster

did you try cgminer for windows?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=569689.0

yes just read previous pages
6214  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TECHNOBIT support tread + customer feedback/240 GHS - 199 EUR - July shipment on: August 07, 2014, 01:24:46 PM
still the point is that its promoted that it work with windows
nowhere is written if u have luck and chances are very high u cant get it to work with windows miner.....

i dont say they should force people buy a tp-link from them
but it must be clear visible that primary support is aimed for tp-link user
and all other variants windows linux rsp are optional with reduced support
special windows should be declared as use on ur own risc

i know crypto business is like wild west still so people dont really expect a clear howto and a product manual or driver software at cd.
but if we dont request normal standard (setup quickguide drive cd manual and so on) included in shipping
(like for every other electronic device we buy have) we will never get it

ok now my tp-link arrived and flash it and get the 3 miners running was a task of less than 1 hour

so my feelings are now mixed

on one side windows mining was a total disaster

on other side with tp-link it was optimal and perfect experience

so i vote good quality but very late (because no other option fits)

very late because i couldnt use the miners a full week until i got the required tp-link

i suggest them to sell the miners only in combination with tp-link to create only the good experience

@Danbi
Finally got around to setting up an Ubuntu 14.04 LTS box and compiled wallet 2.0.3 diamond-qt
Where do I find the datadir Huh so I can add diamond.conf ?

So i've resynced using my old wallet and it's now showing the minted transaction i did at the end of it. However it's missing the transaction i sent to my address a few hours before the minting.
If i dump my priv key and reload the chain do i place my wallet back in the roaming folder before i sync or do i let it fully sync with fresh wallet then import my privkey afterwards?
The txid i have from cryptsy does not exist on the blockexplorer. Sad
Is there a way of checking to see if it has been sent to the forked version?

first of all make sure ur wallet version is at least 2.0.3.0 (soon 2.0.3.1 release can be expected)
u can sync with ur old wallet.dat

all mining minting and incomming/outgoing transactions that where orphan or done in a wrong for will  after sync be visible as unconfirmed

coins stuck in such a unconfirmed transaction u can claim back by repairwallet command in console

a bit more complicated would be the methode mullick suggests (2nd level cryptsy support)
i just post it here but never tryed it myself follow his guide at own risc.

regarding TX ID thats are not visible at blockexplorer they didnt happen on main chain
if cryptsy wallet was sometime on wrong fork chain only cryptsy support answer and also the way how they plan to fix that
(resync on right chain and repeat transaction i guess...)

Quote
First try running the RPC command repairwallet. This can be done via the console in your wallet. Navigate to Help/ Debug Window / Console.

This command will look for any bad transactions but may not work as your wallet likely still sees the transactions as good

If that doesn't work a redownload of the blockchain may correct this

Lastly a fail safe method

First your going to want to dump the private key of your wallet run the command dumpprivkey followed by your address

You will want to save a copy of the key and a backup of your wallet.

Then close your client and leave it closed for some time. At least a few hours. This will give any bans you may have received from being on the bad fork time to expire

If you have a backup of your wallet.dat then go ahead and delete everything in your appdata/roaming/CoinName folder

Then restart the wallet and let it download the chain until synced

Once synced run the command importprivkey followed by your private key

This is a method I found myself. It removes all the transactions from the wallet and when its imported it can only find whats in the blockchain. So the coins you sent are no longer sent and should be in your wallet.

Let me know if this helps
