If block net fails to reach its goals. Will Blocknet carry on and try again?
I imagine so. This idea is irresistible and we have the team to really nail it down. But disappointment and the effort to try again might both loom large. It's been incredibly taxing to live through the past week.

When will the XC thread reopen?
We haven't decided yet. Pretty soon though.

When will BTER trading be enabled please?
I'll ask again, when will BTER trading be enabled? I thought it would be yesterday. We've contacted them and have not heard back yet. Trading should be enabled, since the ITO ended 6 hours ago. I'll keep you posted on this.

Cryptodevil: no old FUD please.
Jasinlee is not an XC developer.
(And, as it happens, he never worked on XC's code in any respect.)

A question :
If, Blocknet project starts, are there any other coins which have said they want to be part of it ?
Yes, lots have. I get a lot of PMs. :-) Once the Foundation's Board is in place, we'll establish procedures for ratifying coins. We'll also publish a schedule of regular meetings, at which coins can propose to develop Blocknet-relevant technology and apply for funding. At this stage, we'll be in a position to consider adding new coins to the Blocknet. May there be many! Any coins you guys already have considered? Last pm from dan on quark request was that he was going to relay it to the foundation and vet it out and vote on it. Any update on this? I haven't kept abreast of that discussion. Too busy writing press releases and dealing with fud. :-) But we haven't formalised the Foundation yet, so I'm guessing it'll be over a week before we're in a position to consider adding new coins.

If this launches
Mitigating the huge obstacle that is slippage trustlessly without exploits and without decreasing anonymity set will be a challenge, many orders of magnitude more complex than say a chat feature. Hey Illodin You should quote the conversation we had earlier about slippage. There were some relevant remarks. I don't think it presents an issue. Anonymity sets: in some cases I agree that this will be a challenge. But since the XBridge is end-to-end encrypted and because inter-blockchain communication either isn't stored on a blockchain or, if it is, it can itself be anonymised, I don't see a general or a significant issue here either. But of course the details are what count. Are you a dev? Would you consider getting involved?

Can you release the official number of Block sold in BTC please? thank you.
I don't have access to figures at the moment but here's my rough estimate: Bittrex ~420 Bter: ~113 Polo: ~23 Polo (NHZ): ~34 Alts: ~500 Total: between 1000 and 1100 BTC. - minus whatever is sold into the Bittrex buy wall of course.

I suspect this coingateway offer needs to be spread over the web more. Not many know about it. Also, its going to be so depressing that such a great idea has been spoiled buy a few stupid fuders if this fails. Update: We've just heard from them. They're disabling it now.

No, this entails nothing. Just the fact that you're not being professional about this anymore And for real? You are coming with this answer? I can't believe this.
I'm qawzsx, I was banned for defending this project right and left, I have at least 80 BTC in XC, but I don't like those facts:
Well qawzsx, explain why you think I'm being "unprofessional" and I'll be happy to listen. My personal take is that this is a community that cares about the Blocknet, and that it's not only admissible, but appropriate, to talk about how best to enable the Blocknet to launch. Well, in no way telling me on the forum to outbid bittrex is called professional, at least in my book. I don't wanna know what's really happening in your mind if that leaked out as a post. Maybe it's just me, so I'm gonna rectify my state. From my point of view that sounded very bad (for me), and made me to reconsider my position into this project as an "investor".Thank you I understand that you don't think it's professional, buy what is your reason for thinking this? I mean, the whole enterprise of an ITO is to market the Blocknet. It's marketing. Hence: "buy BLOCK!" This entire thread is just one long (and contested) conversation about the importance of creating the Blocknet.

It would maybe help, if now that the is ITO is officially over, some exact numbers would be released from all the exchanges (apart from Bittrex). And then maybe we could see that the refunds at Bittrex will not matter much, because the minimum funds for starting the project has been collected on the other exchanges. And then nobody would worry about the failure of the ITO anymore.
I don't have exact figures, but I can confirm that the total amount raised was in the region of 1000 BTC. This means that if 150 BTC is sold at Bittrex, the launch fails. Hence my encouragement to all supporters of the Blocknet to put up buy walls above the Bittrex one.

The minimum requirement for the success of the ITO is defined as 850 BTC. But lots of sales were not in BTC.
Synechist, could you please confirm that with the 850 BTC requirement you mean (total_number_of_BLOCKs_sold * 0.00025 > 850).
The minimum required funds includes the value of altcoins used. Their value in BTC is calculated at the price they were traded at.
