ETC will win, its pretty simple. Hardfork for centralization killed ETH.

Never had ETH, but bought ETC few days ago.

Regards,
ChekaZ

Nice to see you here ChekaZ.  I wish Poloniex would list feathercoin.  You are good people over there.
Enjoy the show.  Grin

Warm wishes
Paula

Poloniex is good to buy from.
You can keep coin there short term, i know miners that have mined to the exchange address.

Then sort out your myetherwallet after you make your purchase.  enjoy!

I was never a fan of ethereum myself but I'm ready to give this Ethereum Classic a shoot , could anyone tell me where I can buy it (without the need of ID verification or other information's) and the wallet I could use to store them ?

If you have other Altcoins https://shapeshift.io

And as for a wallet you can use without waiting for a sync  https://www.myetherwallet.com/
Choose ETC or ETH after you generate the wallet.  Do not use it on the other chain than you have selected or you will loose your coin.
e.g. do not buy on one chain and sell on another.  Stick with your choice for that wallet.
650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHo will win - ETH or ETC? on: August 02, 2016, 07:27:27 AM
You can follow the hash rate for both chains at http://fork.ethstats.net/

Right now Ether Classic is the most profitable coin to mine using GPU https://www.whattomine.com/

And you can check the price here https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_etc

And you can cash out to another coin (no account needed) here https://shapeshift.io/#/coins

Wow!!  I have been sleeping. I just woke up and looked at the charts,  Shocked  poor ETH
It's like having to kill your last and favourite goat because you are ill from hunger.  Sad but necessary.
It's a new world today,  Grin

I found this.

Chris Ellis talks about where they went wrong.
Poor Chris...  He is not well, but if you can get past that and hear him out...
It's 40min long and a few days old now, but Chris, you have it spot on!  Get well soon mate!

It has been more profitable to mine ETC than ETH since 6 hours after the fork

Nice hooklines rangedriver

100% percent behind Ethereum Classic. I'm all in and I won't be surprised seeing ETC overtaking ETH soon.  Smiley

As far as mining and you factor in the Diff it already has look.... https://www.whattomine.com/

A lot of talking and so on, can i change the topic for just a little and help me and other interested parties?
How about solo mining ETC ? Geth 1.4.10 with the --no fork support switch is enough to get ETC instance ? How to verify if the wallet I generated is actually ETC one ? How to check i'm on the right chain in the geth ? Thanks Smiley

Solo mining at this stage is pointless unless you have several gigs of equipment laying around

Difficulty is low on ETC.  it is 18% of ETH Difficulty

40 MH/s should hit a block every 3.2 days @ 100% luck
a pool would give about 1.5 ETC per day

I do, but i want to be sure i'm doing it right Smiley I think to use https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/3503/ethereum-solo-mining-proxy-track-rigs-hashrate , should work ?

Make sure you have the correct chain.  Check block Number #19918xx is the same as in your geth as on http://fork.ethstats.net/

good luck!  When i started solo in April i hit 2 blocks within 36 hours of mining on 11MH/s
It is risky, you may not hit one for a while

People, we are better than this:  Find something constructive to do!
This is not a  steemit thread or a who wrote the best blog post thread.
Peoples emotions are high due to the turbulence in the market.
Chill and enjoy life.  We are all correct from our own perspective.  Deep breaths.

The markets decide who lives and dies here.
Go make a drink!
Make me one too!!

51% attack pool hashrate:      244.62 MH/s and falling

Oh dear... that's quite pathetic, two or three GPU rigs.

They went out and paid for CloudFlare too.
