soy, .90 crashed....and everything below .94 didn't work or help me...back to .95 square 1 again see what happens....
.90, knc if you are listening had great numbers for me, but not sure what why it crashed....
If they were to answer I'd guess they guess it's your power supply can't handle it. soy, doubt it, its a cool master 1200 watts...should handle multiple saturns...what I think happens is the output current showed at over 50A for all chips cores....maybe it was too much juice there, need a firmware like .90 but that takes output current to like maybe 45A....

I think it's time KNC allowed for us to play with some volt settings within reason so we don't fry our units but yet get to squeeze more out of them, they can take it....per .90

soy are these temps and current outputs ok?
are they similar to your stats?
how long have you been on .90?

I go with (HW*100)/A
HW error % = HW/A+R+HW where HW = number of hw errors A = number of accepted R = number of rejected with 0.97 I got something like 10-11% after almost 20 hours, whereas before the same miner running with 0.95 I used to have 5-7% Thanks. That changes mine from ~4.4% down to ~4.1%. Although it doesn't agree with BertMod: Device Hardware%=4.9875 Device Rejected%=4.1048 Pool Rejected%=4.3372 Pool Stale%=0.0000 thanks, that means I am still at 21%, spinning my wheels it feels Did you try firmware 0.90 then enablecores.bin? Are you forcing air onto the BBB? A warmish BBB will drop your hashrate. SOY, I THINK YOU MIGHT BE A GENIUS....although I am alittle concerned about temps.... here are the numbers for my saturn that was currently underperforming.... new stats at server miner_knc 258.17 GH/s 30,875k (99.82%) 52608 / 525k / 2176 noticed immediate change cgminer stats KnC 0: | 305.2G/268.6Gh/s | A:73728 R:3840 HW:5897 WU: 4240.8/m yay HW ERROR ARE FIXED BUT temps went from 40c,45c to now 45c and 52c (alittle worried, should I be?) watts went from 231w to 381w per bertmod

is there a syslog on these things that i can forward to knc...figure out this 20% Hardware Error rate.....ridonkulous.

KNC GUI & puTTy both show me at 541 all day - BTCG shows 480-500 most of the day.
am i missing something?
Yes you are. Stop measuring speeds at cgminer or go through Kano's posts for how to get the hashrate numbers using the hardware error numbers and so on. It's really annoying all these people posting meaningless hashrates... i think it is even easier, look at cgminer output (GH/s), then go to your pool server stats and look at that hash rate and if they are the same, you are doing very well, if they are not even close then you have a problem. Except the pool number jumps around. I saw a difference of 20 within two minutes at the pool. Average hashrate at the status screen barely moved. I do have 19% HW errors on 9.7 though. Fiatkiller, when other KNC Saturn owners are reporting 260GH/s-275GH/s at the server(and on CGminer), while my Saturn reports 215-235GH/s max, I feel that it has something to do with that high error rate our Saturns suffer from.

Hey guys,
I have a Jupiter unit hosted with KnC since the beginning. It was performing really nice, with averages near the 550 GH/s on Bitminter, sometimes even reaching the 600 GH/s
After the firmware update yesterday it has been hashing all day in the 400's range. I'm reading very good feedback about the new firmware, but whatever it was, it really screwed my hashing rates.
Anyone experiencing a similar situation?
Thank you in advance for your feedback,
Best,
I updated by "bad" jupiter from 0.95 (with enable cores) to 0.97 about 12 hours ago The WU increased from 69xx to 76xx-78xx, but the error rate is high 37% and the cgminer Avg is the same, despite the increased WU (5s):504.3G (avg): 482.4Gh/s | A:2669800 R:20300 HW:1004701 WU:7644.5/m The pool reported speed remains lower on 0.97, currently 405.04Gh/s Aussiehash, I feel your pain. My saturn will either run a firmware that has low errors but then has low WU and low hashing. If I use a firmware like .97, where it improves hashing and WU, but the errors are then at 20%-25%.....KNC looks like I am not the only one with an error problem. As far as I can tell, most of the cores are enabled, so not sure what the problem is.

Has anyone seen or heard of a performance gain when changing the Asic board to a different slot on the controller board?

After tinkering with enabled cores in 0.95, then upgrading to 0.96 and then today to 0.97, my Saturn is currently outputting ~278Gh/s with all 100% of my cores enabled. My WU went up to just over 4,000/m and my flushwork issue has gotten much better.
My saturn envies your saturn

KnC 0: | 263.0G/258.5Gh/s | A:643328 R:17152 HW:190848 WU:4047.9 is something wrong here? did you try 0.95 and 0.97? if it happen in all FW, you might need to give your miner more airflow thanks for the input, but unlikely as both chips are well below 50c. I don't know diddly, but I think its a software issue, hoping SOMEONE puts up an easy plain English for dummies on how to install and run BFGMINER.....

I see network hashrate that was 3.25PH/s when I looked late yesterday was a moment ago only 2.72 and now is 2.9. I wonder if it's KnC miner users shutting down and restarting with the new firmware.
KNC Pool ( https://portal.kncminer.com/) speed already 70 +TH/s (from about 25 TH/s for 24 hrs ). What it mean? The firmware worked in the datacentre. It was tested on the hosting facility last night, then released today as it was deemed stable. Hey Bitcoinorama, any ideas as to why my Saturn has such a high error rate, I don't see others with such?

I can confirm *on my Sat* that 0.97 is faster then previous firmwares. From 270gh/s to 278gh/s.
So far my Saturn seems improved in regards to flushwork and WU....I still have a high HW error rate, maybe slightly higher even...but at this point i am happier....30 mins in....will check back later. Mining Status CGMiner Status Running (pid=1735) Last Checked Wed Oct 23 15:22:26 UTC 2013 Avg. Any ideas on why such a high error rate?? I don't really care about the error rate. I only look my hash rate @ the pool. well those errors ultimately affect my hash rate @ the pool that is why I am concerned. 257GH/s on CGminer = 225GH/s on server
