Haha, are we the only ones with a holiday where everyone just eats until they can't move and then watches TV all day? Maybe you have a different name for it. some people call those 'weekdays'.

I don't know if anyone asked already, but why are you doing this?
Do you plan to stop doubling at some point and keep all the coins you're sent from then on?
that's what i assumed from reading the rules in the OP. it's a matter of who quits first... OP or the public.

I think limiting the number of slots per person would result in a significant reduction in ad revenue.
I was thinking of doing something different for round 52 to commemorate a year of ads. Perhaps 20 slots with a maximum of one slot per person.
you mean one slot per sock puppet or one slot per IP address? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

i was just trying to be fair to the others
i'm sure you were, cablepair, just that everyone has their own definition of 'fair' ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) personally, i think a free market is the most fair.

what difference does it make if you're competing with 1 other person, vs competing with 9 other people, and more importantly, how would you even know?
pride and ego are just as legitimate as drivers of demand than any other drivers.

Guys don't trust this user. Played a big part in the BTCST scam. Yeah yeah...deny it all you want payb.tc. You profited hugely off of it. of course, anyone doing their due diligence for thrucoin is invited to search 'bitcoinmax'. i have nothing to hide there.

Logged in as: ThiagoCMC (User #374 of 373) how are you 374 of 373 LMAO because the 373 was a hardcoded figure of how many real users were in the system. 2 of the incremental ID numbers are admin/test accounts.

http://www.silverdoctors.com/italy-to-ban-cash-transactions-over-e50-in-2013/Courtesy Google Translate: Rome – The technical Rome government wants to limit cash transactions in Italy. From 2013, citizens may pay amounts in excess of 50 euros only by credit or debit card. That the Council of Ministers decided today. The measure is intended to reflect the money laundering and black money payments to clamp down. Since July, the government has banned cash transactions over 1,000 euros. i spent some of my honeymoon in rome... icecream there costs more than €50. can't see this law going down too well with tourists.

Would we be able to update the banner during the 30 day block, and if so, how often?

the banner ad on http://bitcoinclock.com needs updating... maybe yours? selling 30 days of non-rotating banner space, suitable for a 468x60 size graphic. the site currently gets about 100-120 visits per day, but i expect that to ramp up over the next ~81 days as the reward-drop gets closer. starting bid 0.01 BTC, minimum bid increment 0.01 BTC. auction ends: 2012-09-12 01:30:00 UTCpayment, banner graphic, and url to be submitted within 24 hours of auction ending. thanks!

Another POS website using times with no timezone specified. At least this one looks like GMT. It only uses local time in one spot, the majority of it's function is intact. Still, it would be good to specify. It does not earn POS for that one detail. i wonder where it uses local time... should be UTC everywhere... will remove the old ad and update the site tonight. edit: i decided to auction off 30 days' worth on that banner space: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=108517 ...low reserve.

4) suddenly proclaimed an 'all-or-nothing' stance towards pirate, despite having been willing to trust him previously, only after the default was announced
what part of reality does this statement stem from? in fact i would be very happy to accept less than 'all', as i'm sure would most people at this point.
