661  Economy / Reputation / Re: Advertised services and participants in a paid sig campaign on: November 02, 2023, 07:02:35 PM
And yes, campaign managers not checking his comments properly are an issue too.
A campaign manager is responsible to select suited participants to ensure that the service is advertised the best way. Campaign managers are getting paid for that by the service.
And obviously, someone who openly hates gambling is not a good pick to advertise a gambling brand.

I've been trying to figure out when BenCodie started hating on gambling so much.  He came back to the forum last December after taking a long break and  seemed like he just wanted to join some signature campaigns to earn money.  He put in an application with Chipmixer like two days after he started posting again.  But before that, I never saw him post anything about gambling on here.  Makes me wonder if he's telling the truth that he's always felt this way about it.  Hard to get a read on what his deal is.

Stake is a great recommendation indeed, but their UI is quite laggy especially when live betting which is an area they need to improve in asap.

Just out of curiosity, do you use the mobile version of Stake casino or do you play on desktop? I've never actually used the snartphone for gambling on Stake - I always play on my laptop.  I wonder if that makes a difference and  i haven't noticed any lagging or glitching on the desktop site, but maybe the mobile version needs more processing power or something?

664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LastPass hack - move your crypto assets to a more secure place right now! on: November 01, 2023, 07:00:15 PM

I'm curious what your preferred method is and any password wisdom you'd share! How do you balance security and convenience when it comes to managing credentials?

Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) anywhere you can.  It doesn't take much time to set up but gives you way more security.  Also, regularly review and update your passwords. That's a good practice, imho.
665  Economy / Gambling / Re: ROLR.IO 🎲 | The World's Private Casino 🎰 on: November 01, 2023, 06:36:25 PM

The maximum payout and the daily withdrawal cap are distinct terms. As noted in our Terms of Service, there's a daily withdrawal limit of $4,000. However, this doesn't apply to our VIP members. Wink

I see. So max payout refers to your bonuses! Thank you for the explanation.

They need to clear this out. If not, many people might get turned off about that because they don't know what to expect. They also have a strange requirement there for KYC. Really? Email and password? Lol. I think it's kinda red flag. They can now access our emails then, or our gambling account.

I think this was clearly a misunderstanding. The password they mention is not related to your email address but to your account on the platform. it wouldn't make sense for them to ask for a password from your email account because there are other ways to verify your email address.
666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: October 30, 2023, 02:51:01 PM
I think loneliness can for sure make people look for things for distractions.  For some folks, gambling might be one of those distractions they turn to.  but you gotta think about why someone's doing something before saying they're addicted. Just because someone's lonely and they gamble dont automatically mean they're addicted to it.

If someone says they don't do it for fun, that could be a sign they see gambling more as a way to make money or just a habit, not really something they enjoy.

You're right to be worried about your buddy especially if hes spending a lot of money to gamble.  Loneliness might play a part, but it's good to have open, supportive talks with him to understand what's really going on underneath and maybe find better ways to deal.
667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Promotions Poll on: October 30, 2023, 02:41:34 PM
Different promotions target different players, so each bonus has pros and cons.  New players probably like welcome bonuses and free spins more.  But to keep existing players happy, casinos should have good cashback offers and loyalty programs too.  Those give back a percentage of losses as bonus money or real cash.  Tournaments and competitions work for competitive types who want to win prizes by playing against others.

So what we like depends on how we gamble and what matters most to us at a casino and  personally, I don't look at bonuses and promotions too much when picking a place to play.  Some other things are more important to me.

669  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Csgo500 SCAM 77.500$ on: October 30, 2023, 01:57:49 PM
the second account was created 4 months ago. There is nothing interesting in the second part of the conversation. They told me that I used an exploit to win. I tried to explain to them that the game was fair.

Why are you selectively sharing conversation screenshots? you make it look like you're trying to hide something.
670  Other / Meta / Re: Services board is very hard to browse on: October 28, 2023, 08:22:52 PM
There's gotta be like a dozen signature bounty campaigns going on in the services board right now.  (I didn't actually count them.)  The way I handle it is to just ignore the topics I don't care about and  that way I can focus on the topics I think are interesting.  The forum gets more customized to what you're into when you ignore stuff you don't want to see.
671  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Csgo500 SCAM 77.500$ on: October 28, 2023, 08:02:49 PM
Hey Muki972, I'm sorry to hear that. Can you share a little more information and evidence so we can see what this is really about? You said something about being accused of using an exploit? What happened exactly? It's hard to really understand without more details and  it would be super helpful if you explained more about the accusation - like what exploit they think you used, what you were actually doing, stuff like that.

Also, what were you betting on when this supposed exploit thing happened? That's an important piece of this puzzle.  I think with some more background details we can probably get a clearer picture of this whole situation.  No judgement here! Just trying to understand so we can chat about it reasonably.

By the way, if you want, you can use this format for your scam accusation.

you didn't understand me
I meant How can I benefit from it in crypto Smiley

Are you asking how to use your programming skills to benefit from cryptocurrencies? Simply. Cryptocurrencies are money. So like with regular money, you can trade your programming services for crypto payments.  Though to really cash in, you'd want to build blockchain apps.  That means first getting pretty deep into cryptocurrencies and related tech.  Could be a big learning curve if it's all new to you!
673  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: October 28, 2023, 05:37:29 PM
Earlier today bustabit's server hung and the game was paused for approximately five and a half hours. While I'm still confirming the root cause, I believe it's safe to resume gameplay. I've also improved our monitoring system to ensure I can respond faster in case something like this were to happen again in the future.

Yeah, it's working fine for me now.  Glad to see you guys fixed that server problem real quick.  I know stuff like that can happen sometimes, but it's good you're keeping an eye on it and improving your systems so theres less downtime in the future.  Anyway, thanks for keeping us in the loop!
674  Economy / Gambling / Re: Jonbet Double Game Seeding Event on: October 28, 2023, 05:20:36 PM
Hey there, jonbet. Welcome to the forum!

Just wanted to give you a friendly reminder about the rule we have here to keep things organized - One thread per site ONLY!  I noticed you started a couple different ones for your seeding events, which is totally understandable! But to keep the board neat and easy to follow, it'd be great if you could keep them all into one main thread for your casino and  that way people can find all the info in one spot.  You can check out the sticky thread at the top of this board for more details.
675  Economy / Gambling / Re: ROLR.IO 🎲 | The World's Private Casino 🎰 on: October 28, 2023, 04:35:53 PM
Hey Welcome to the forum ROLR.IO claiming to be "Worlds Private Casino" seems be very competitive  Grin Any plans of extending your advertising? at least more give away in Games and Round?

I love to quote this from your platform >>

Quote
NON-STICKY BONUSES
All our bonuses are non-sticky letting you claim your cash winnings.

NO MAX BET
We never limit your bet. Spin as much as you like.

NO MAX PAYOUT
Your winnings are yours - everytime.
actually only the wager that will hinder this to be taken , but yeah this seems to be attractive .

Have a long running site and be active as well in this forum please and not just today like what most newly opened casino does to completely attract gamblers here .

With "No Max Bet & No Max Payout" they definitely sound very competitive and attractive... many casinos have bet limits and payouts.

I wanted to take a peek at the site, but this is only possible after registration. I will wait for the BTCGosu review before I register and try the site, as always!

Yeah, no limit bets and payouts sound awesome, but let's be real - nothing is truly limitless.  When I checked out the fine print on this casino's terms and FAQ page, here's what I found:

Quote
8. Please be advised that the maximum withdrawal amount is the crypto equivalent of $4000 per day, provided all wagering conditions have been fulfilled.
https://rolr.io/faq

So their whole NO MAX PAYOUT! thing is just clever marketing.  Dont get me wrong being able to potentially win 4 grand a day is pretty sweet.  But unlimited? As if.

I don't want to be a downer, but I've seen enough shady stuff in this industry to know that if something seems too good to be true, it probably is.  Rules are rules, limits are limits.  Maybe this place is legit, but that no max slogan feels like bait to reel in big dreamers.
676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think if you have a lot of money its hard to satisfy your ego in gambling on: October 28, 2023, 01:27:11 PM
<...>

Yeah, It's crazy to see people who are just throwing millions around on sports bets and at casinos - we call 'em high rollers.  But I doubt most of them are just randomly betting big money for no reason.  The ones who gamble professionally or semi-professionally probably know what they're doing more than us regular folk who just gamble for fun and  of course they can still lose big on some bets since nothings guaranteed, but if they've been at it awhile, I'd guess most come out ahead in the long run.

Casinos and sportsbooks love getting those high rollers in  'cause it looks good for their image and gets people talking.  But Id bet their real profits come from tons of small-time, amateur gamblers like me and you.

Personally even if I won millions, I'd probably keep betting normal amounts.  I'd be careful about the risks and wouldn't want gambling to take over my life.
677  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer alert @XiaDefi on Twitter on: October 28, 2023, 12:52:08 PM
WTF? That's nothing short of extortion! And in most civilized countries around the world, that kind of thing is criminal offense and totally against the law.

I think just doing the work later (even if it costs less money) won't really make up for it.  Trying to force someone to pay extra through threats is seriously not cool no matter what.
678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Used Our Wedding Savings to Play Bet on: October 27, 2023, 10:09:39 PM
<...>
Well, I don't think the mistake of his fiancee is enough to make her decide not to pursue the wedding anymore.  I would agree if the wedding will be postponed for now but leaving his fiancee totally because of his mistake, I think that's also quite unfair for him.  He should not be judged just because he is an addicted gambler, but he should learn to discipline himself instead so he can save the relationship with his future wife.

Well, I guess that will depend on how good his "apology" is. And as for his addiction, I'm not judging, but how good can such a marriage be unless he makes some changes.

I can feel the pain with this young lady. But what happened has already happened and she should move on from that. What they should focus more is how to help his fiancee solve his gambling addiction so there will be no problems like this that will occur in the future.

I agree. The issue here isn't so much about money but, above all, about the lost trust. I think both partners should be honest with each other when entering into marriage, as a thriving partnership can't be built on a foundation of lies.
679  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: October 27, 2023, 05:03:55 PM
<...>

Found it. I never thought I could actually find it under CASHIER button. I don't know why they put it there.  Seem like our interface is different from each other as I only see DEPOSIT on that image above.
<...>
Anyway, thanks. All I want to try in rollbit is the binary option they have. Wanna see if I can make some profit from it in a short period of time.

Yeah, the interface has changed a bit with their latest updates (the screenshot is from their blog post), but the principle remains pretty much the same.
Anyway, I'm glad you found the deposit address. Good luck on your gambling!

Who among here did really believe that Bitvest had totally died because of no update or response of its owner?  Cheesy

I didn't really think Bitvest casino would completely die from not having updates posted in here.  I figured they still had some loyal users playing there.  But I wasn't totally sure if lightlord would come back to the forum anymore.  Glad I was wrong on that one.

Congratulations on your Bitvest anniversary, @lightlord!
