I mean the late name, why was it renamed back as so after the Ottoman Empire - under the Ottoman it was Syrian districts. The returning Jews under Zionism were for all means "immigrants".
The 1939 flag of Palestine was this:

Wouldn't it be like anything else - more valuable as it becomes scarce?  If there are an unlimited number of something, then it's not valuable at all.

Not everything, everything with demand. Small pox is scarce now, yet has no market value because nobody wants it.
Then we would have to go by analysis of liquidity. If the market for a scarce good is too small, regardless the value will be hard to cash out.  Grin

1aguar,

To "survive" is much more than just re-implant your soul somewhere else. To survive requires that your basic functions, namely your brain functions, to be still functional. Hardly you can say that someone in the terminal stages of Alzheimer disease or in vegetation is "alive", to best it "still breath".
I know that humans always had issues with death and never got convinced on why it happens; well, it's needed for development of the species and Nature doesn't give a damn if you like it or not. Anyway, with or without reincarnation when that big orange ball in the sky turns red and explodes we will go for good.
If believing on reincarnation makes you feel good... well... good for you, keep on it.

But, btw, if someone with Alzheimer dies, then what use will have their soul, taken they lost awareness of reality prior to die?

Vod,

IDK, seams some guy named Devil is buying them, but IDK at which market or rate!
664  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scientific proof that God exists? on: September 04, 2015, 02:10:56 AM
But why in hell would that would add something to survival?!
There is no limited stock of souls.

I don't give a big F about that conflict because:

1. What you call "Palestinians" today are not from there, not any sort of "ancient inhabitants" of Israel as many may think, but an attempt to drop a "human bomb" against Zionism by the Ottoman Empire.
2. Well... today Palestinians aren't from there nor the most of Jews. The first Palestine was actually Jewish and the term comes from "pelesh" (invaders, occupants, dividers) to refer to those Jewish families that migrated there under the Zionist agenda.

So we've 2 invaders so to say. Who was there? And there we get to the root of lies; accordingly to the British consul at Jerusalem by 1860 there were about 15 thousand people in the town, of which about 8 thousand Jews, 4.5K Muslims and 2.5K Christians. Reports from other Western pilgrims follows this line; where is now Israel was a desert, almost nobody, just some Jews and nomad Arabs.
Oddly on 1890 the Ottoman census makes this figures about what's now Israel: 43K Jews, 57K Christians and 432K Muslims. But we have this entry from Mark Twain's travels:

Quote
"There is not a solitary village throughout its whole extent (valley of Jezreel, Galilea); not for thirty miles in either direction... One may ride ten miles hereabouts and not see ten human beings. For the sort of solitude to make one dreary, come to Galilee... Nazareth is forlorn... Jericho lies a mouldering ruin... Bethlehem and Bethany, in their poverty and humiliation... untenanted by any living creature... A desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds... a silent, mournful expanse... a desolation... We never saw a human being on the whole route... Hardly a tree or shrub anywhere. Even the olive tree and the cactus, those fast friends of a worthless soil had almost deserted the country... Palestine sits in sackcloth and ashes... desolate and unlovely...".

- Mark Twain, "The Innocents Abroad", 1867

So in 23 years they went from "nobody" to half million? Well... looks like the Ottomans counted nomads a couple of times to make them look more, because:

Quote
"There are many proofs, such as ancient ruins, broken aqueducts, and remains of old roads, which show that it has not always been so desolate as it seems now. In the portion of the plain between Mount Carmel and Jaffa one sees but rarely a village or other sights of human life. There are some rude mills here which are turned by the stream. A ride of half an hour more brought us to the ruins of the ancient city of Cæsarea, once a city of two hundred thousand inhabitants, and the Roman capital of Palestine, but now entirely deserted. As the sun was setting we gazed upon the desolate harbor, once filled with ships, and looked over the sea in vain for a single sail. In this once crowded mart, filled with the din of traffic, there was the silence of the desert. After our dinner we gathered in our tent as usual to talk over the incidents of the day, or the history of the locality. Yet it was sad, as I laid upon my couch at night, to listen to the moaning of the waves and to think of the desolation around us".

- B. W. Johnson, in "Young Folks in Bible Lands": Chapter IV, 1892 -

So to the end; BOTH Jews and Arabs are mostly immigrants there. The region is inhabitable, just the science of Israel allows mankind to live there on the current figures. So, they're facing a major challenge, the Nature, and wasting time fighting because some mfs wants "jizya"!

In India, where people is more akin to believe on reincarnation, 1:500 recalls past lives... likewise on Catholic countries 1:500 claims to had some sort of miracle, but none even thinks of a previous life to start with.

My hypothesis to this is rather simple: the power of suggestion.
As I said early, no Jesus appears to Muslims as no Muhammad appears to Christians.

Well, on that Israel issue, which we could well call the war of all lies, is to see how easy it can be to forge news these days!
This is basically because no journalist checks sources or do any field work, they just keep translating and passing on the primary source without any review at all.

The latest "Pallyhood" production is this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndBNsE_ZUGU

1. As we can see, and at the beginning we get a nearly 360º view, there's nobody around but the kid and the supposed IDF soldier.
2. For anyone, as me, who was a soldier wouldn't be hard to notice the soldier is neither on proper gear nor action, is just an actor with a poor IDF-like uniform.
3. Also supposedly the kid was throwing stones at IDF soldiers, but as we can see at #1: What soldiers?!
4. The Palestinians who were also throwing stones at the soldiers when given the chance of hit him with a rock and send him to meet the creator, just go on a soft struggle to take his mask (not even his weapon).
5. Last but not least, The Daily Mirror went as far as made up "declarations of an IDF spokesperson" about the situation... obviously such declarations or any reference to the incident are nowhere to be found at IDF's official blog.

BTW, don't miss the carnival bomb the other soldier throws.  Grin

1aguar;

That 1 out of millions claim to recall past lives, is crap! If that would be possible then 1 out millions WOULDN'T.
Being 1 liar out of millions makes it easy; nobody can confirm his claims. To be useful then most of us would recall it (taken there's more people in the World now than ever before, a bug chunk must be wearing a brand new shiny soul and would have nothing to recall) and we could cross references to easily check it out...
But bottom line is: we don't.
669  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What Is A Social Justice Warrior (SJW)? on: September 03, 2015, 04:06:09 PM
Any of a large number of threads on this forum suggest a much lower bar for hostility and violence against Jews than other groups.  This is both explicit and implicit, both purposeful and unintentional.   Quite an interesting phenomena.

So, just asking what do with Jews then is "lowering the bar"?! This sounds a LOT like "either you're pro-Jew or pro-Palestinian". How about "what the heck do I care about that"?!

I noticed, by his redundant arguments and fanatic-like line of senseless arguments, that BADecker is just playing around.
Grin

If he would really be like that, he wouldn't be here on the web. Instead would be in a cave writing at some papyrus and doing target practice to the next adulterer stoning.
671  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scientific proof that God exists? on: September 03, 2015, 02:21:44 AM
The fact that "Emanuel" means "God with us" and "Ismael" means "by the will of God" and other -El (He in Hebrew) ended names means something related to God are meant to prove anything?! That's like using old claims (not a shred of evidence) as evidence for themselves.
It is like something I came across recently while studying Islam; Quran 2:282 states the witness of a woman worth half of the witness of a man, later on on Hadith Bukhari 6:301 you have Mo asking a woman "if it is not true that the witness of woman worth half of a man" as if it wasn't him the one setting that rule on the first place.  Grin

1aguar;

The ability to recall past lives.
Would be great anyway, if possible. All historical data will be accurate because we would have witnesses of all the periods, including pre-historical times.
But if we don't have such ability, then what purpose would reincarnation fits? None.

I see many "I convinced skeptics" used as an argument. However how "skeptical" were those "skeptics"? Because when you see a "skeptical" on those shows, they say something like: "I was very skeptical about paranormal activity", yet their houses are furnished with several thousands of bucks "paranormal-related" gear. Sounds like they build a house like:
- Hey, I'm skeptical about aliens, but let me spend here more 100K to build an UFO parking lot.
 Grin

The idea that "you only live once" is useless because it has been falsified

Just because you said so and some crackpots who get 1 possible result out of thousands?
Again, we don't do things for nothing: what purpose would such ability have? And no, nobody can recall anything, now we're moving goal posts to witchcraft scams - AKA paranormal activities... and if you go down that road then I've to assume Julius Caesar, Napoleon and Cleopatra had multiple souls, taken for the number of people they reincarnated in.  Tongue
673  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scientific proof that God exists? on: September 02, 2015, 05:18:39 PM
Yes, but what purpose would that serve?

You can't recall anything from who or what you were! Karma punishments?! The whole sense of justice requires the convicted to know why he was convicted, otherwise makes no sense at all.

Or is just like QA said; God's soul supplier at AliBaba went out of stock so he recycles and refurnish souls?

But I've to say that would be fun if you could recall your past lives, and we won't be doing this discussion over far-fetched fabricated results by people who saw what they want to see in the first place, we would have empirical evidence.
Just imagine, two US soldiers during Iraq invasion:
-Man, when I was Abdul Muhammad I used to take black coffee in that corner right there. That other guy there - shouts ALI! - was my cousin, he can't recognize me now.
 Grin

I'd just realize there's an issue with reincarnation;

Let's assume reincarnation is real, then:

What purpouse does it serve taken you are unable to recall any of your past lives?!
Would be pretty much of an useless ability, won't it?
675  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scientific proof that God exists? on: September 02, 2015, 08:39:24 AM
OMG! What sites are those? Made by Microsoft's Frontpage 97 fan club webmasters?!

Anyway, I love this study results! Fully peer-verifiable:

Patients with cardiac arrest: 2060
Went to full death experience: 1730

Of the survivals:

Too ill to reply to anything: 188
Thinks the doc was crazy: 2

Of the remaining 140:

Feel nothing, no memories: 85
Feel "something", have memories: 55

Out of those 55 more "esoteric":

Ruled out of NDE - too much accuracy didn't lost conscience: 46
Memories but none of which visual or auditive: 7
Full NDE with visual and auditive: 2

Of the 2 spiritual patients:
Ruled out due to lack of accuracy: 1
The master of all NDE: 1

So, your study got 1 result out of 2060 samples. This proves what? That 1:2060 people wears an used soul, or 1:2060 is better on making up stories?
The only time I fainted, speaking of personal experience, I felt... nothing. Just lights out, stop to feel my own weight and just remember to wake up... wasn't a NDE, but was the closest to it.

And I can't provide evidence, because it's impossible to provide evidence of what doesn't exist. That's what "negative proof" stands for.
I can't prove you don't reincarnate or go to heaven in the very same way you can't prove to me there's no Santa or there's no Bigfoot.
What I can say is that heavens cause a paradox, reincarnation doesn't, may be plausible but just due to the lack of logical arguments to deny.
676  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scientific proof that God exists? on: September 02, 2015, 05:50:05 AM
You didn't understand, did you?
What you've there isn't science, it's called pseudo-science and it's based upon "observations" and "deductions". The funny part is the peer-review claim and yet, past 48 years of the last claim no valid review exists. And if such exists then the kid will come speaking in Aramaic, Latin or other ancient language.  Grin

And about "old science is bad science", when it comes to medicine it is for sure! If you get a respiratory disease that 1967's doc would recommend you to start smoking 3 packages of Marlboro a day, and the 1922's one will give you some cocaine. Grin

That site reminds me of CBS Reality shows about paranormal activity. Always dots filmed with a very old camcorder and interferences caught with old radios... guess the ghosts don't like HD and digital recording...  Roll Eyes

So you do think that if somehow we make Muslims believe their religion is peaceful, they will become peaceful?
I hardly believe that... or did I misunderstand what you said?
Religious folks are the "old time" politicians, btw.
679  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scientific proof that God exists? on: September 02, 2015, 03:04:18 AM
Religious pricks from the XX Century, that seeks to fit their data into their agenda?
I can provide maybe 1000 "points" from the XIX Century stating the same! Leave alone those of XVIII Century.
 Grin

The only point that site makes, is that looks like an obituary and most likely many of those "docs" are already experiencing a PDE (Post Death Experience).
