661  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin? on: June 25, 2022, 07:08:21 PM
bitcoin always surprises everyone, with the price suddenly dropping and rising. everyone wants the price to continue to improve but in the field the bitcoin price can not be determined alone.
I think bitcoin price will hit 30k again but not anytime soon. for now the bitcoin market is in an unstable state because the world economy is also in a bad state globally.
This decline cannot be predicted because it is difficult for us to determine the movement of bitcoin, but what we know is that the global economy is not doing well, including the stock world, but for sure this will have little influence, not only from the whales who control but our economy is experiencing a decline.
I believe bitcoin will bounce back my profit target in the $28k-30k price range though don't know when but we make sure to stay on their way where there will be a nice bounce ahead.
For you maybe it is difficult because you don't know how to do it but for some, they can possibly predict if what is the real bottom because they know how to use the tools that is available in the web. The stock market is declining and I think that is because of the global crisis that we are facing now. The influence or the effect is not little because why is the crypto market also badly affected?

There are many markets that is also affected not only stocks and crypto. Bitcoin can always bounce back and I think the time for it to happen is now closer since we are now entering the second half of the year. Maybe in the beginning of July or so.

663  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Russia Emerge As The Next Dominant Superpower on: June 08, 2022, 06:09:19 PM
Russia occupies an unusual position on the world stage. Under President Vladimir Putin, Moscow has repeatedly demonstrated that it has the capacity to destabilize the international order, most recently with its brutal invasion of Ukraine. Currently, only the United States fulfills the criteria to be considered a superpower.

However, the United States is no longer the only uncontested foremost superpower and the world’s sole hyperpower to dominate in every domain (i.e. military, culture, economy, technology, diplomatic). Russia, the world’s largest nation, is home to over 30% of the world’s natural resources according to some sources. So, given the statistics, they can definitely emerge. The current holders of the position need to exhibit strong solidarity, otherwise, Russia can always emerge.

My country PM was on the trip to Russia - when the Russian attacked Ukraine.
And the whole country is in trouble - because of USA pressure and we are suffering so much loose in economy. What did Russia do to the world - they are not friends with anyone, they think of themselves only
The story that was posted for being the reason why the Russian government did all those things they did to Ukraine might entirely be different from the main reason why whatever transpired did. But, whatever reason it was doesn’t justify the action the Russians took against a fellow nation  they’ve shared things in common.

Given the actions they took, it’s only right that the consequences be that they fail to dominate because they might do something that would shock the world.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you also a holder of one of these coins? on: June 04, 2022, 04:04:42 PM
Yes dca is being recommended lately by many users in the forum but they meant to dca good coins only like bitcoin, ethereum and binance coin, not meme coins like apecoin but I don't know about the other coins on your list if they are also like apecoin that is only driven by hype.

You said you are willing to accumulate till the next halving, that would be 2 years from now and that's a long accumulation period but I think in the next two years, all the coins on your list are already dying or have completely died already. The money that you invested with them for 2 years is only going to be wasted. Better if you go on something that is proven already like the three coins that I mentioned first.
665  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason why I put all my money in Bitcoin as a newbie on: June 02, 2022, 06:39:00 PM
The price of altcoins is based on hype, artificial pumps, irrational speculation. It's not based on real world utility.
Correction! Not all altcoins but there are still a few altcoins that are not based on hype but these alts are also based on speculations because that is who crypto works. They can also experience an artificial pump or often called as bull trap. Lastly, there are also alts with real world utility.

Quote
That's why altcoins come and go, coins that had billions in marketcap yesterday are forgotten today.
That's true but for coins like eth, doge coins and similar. They are still here despite of having those characteristics.

There's no company outside of crypto, big or small, that somehow utilizes smart contracts
Of course because they are not related to crypto but if related to cryptos, we have so called auditors like hacken, which checks the smart contracts of a project if they are legit or not.

Bitcoin is still far better than any altcoin thanks to LN. Because Bitcoin combines the robustness of its network with instant and nearly free transactions of LN, while altcoins have smaller network that can be attacked or exploited.
Yeah with LN in bitcoin, there's no need for any altcoins but I always wonder why people still prefer any other altcoins more than btc or LN? Those people didn't give honor to the original coin but they like to support other developers' work.
666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Habitual Bitcoin Buyer-Not what you think on: June 02, 2022, 08:55:34 AM
Oh, I see it sounds like you are becoming an addict in terms of buying a bitcoin lol but I think that was better than becoming an addict on gambling, alcohol, drugs and other things that are not beneficial to you but can only damage your health and life in the long run. At least when getting addicted on investing in btc, you can get something in return. You can sell some of your btc by the time, the monthly billings are close.

I think that's a perfect moment because after almost a month the price prolly have changed a lot. Just don't compromise the budget that is intended for more important things like food because you could starve your self and that can affect the way your health and the way you think.

I was waiting for Warriors and Heat both to start to their series by 2-0 but it didn't happen for Heat. However Heat had their third game against Celtics away last night. And to be honest I wasn't expecting Heat to win this one after seeing Celtics' very solid performance in their second game. But they surprised me and won by 109-103. There was a huge competition between Jaylen Brown and Bam Adebayo in this game. Brown scored 40 points and Adebayo answered by 31 points. Now Heat are leading by 2-1 and the series is getting more interesting.
It's just that Celtics sometimes clicks better than any team left. They have this chemistry and system that works perfectly and of course Heat knows about this and disrupts them which causes Celtics to lose and I agree that Heat will win the series. However, when Heat fails, and Celtics plays that good smooth basketball, not many teams could stop them.

I still think that Warriors are the best team left in the playoffs right now, they are playing very easily against Mavs, not saying that they will sweep or anything but I believe that we are not going to see them lose anytime soon. I personally hope that we get to see some more fights, but it looks like we may see another Warriors championship.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment: $15.000 - 12 vs 15 coins on: April 28, 2022, 07:10:49 PM
Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, LTC, ADA, AVAX, DOT, MATIC, UNI, CAKE, XMR, WAVE, EOS, XTZ, SOL. Here you go, 15 coins that you could distribute 1000 to each. However, I would highly suggest that you do not get 1k of each right away, that would be a bad idea.

Instead buy 100 bucks worth of them each Monday, or whichever day you pick, that way you would know that you are getting it in 2.5 months and takes about 9 weeks give or take. That should give you a 2.5 month average and allow you to do DCA, this would prevent you losing money if it goes down next, and that way you could average it down if it goes down. I would say it's trustable coins and they are not memes, they are not hypes, they are legit coins as well.
670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is truly missing in the Bitcoin ecosystem to get this to the masses on: April 28, 2022, 05:28:51 PM
One thing we all have to understand that no other asset or currency can be adopted more than the legal tender. Other currencies available are always going to be seen as an alternatives.

But, so far we have already gotten much adoption in the cryptocurrency market. You can use Bitcoin for a lot of things these days, it can be used for transactions in so many ways, there are now stores where you can buy whatever you need and make payment with bitcoin. I am not really expecting any much adoptions aides the level we have gotten to so far.

World doesn't need a police force, let nations do whatever they want to each other, you can't just come in and assume that what you are offering is better. I do not remember many times when the USA came in and did a better job, wherever they have went, they destroyed and it is either same or worse after their involvement. If it worked, if they actually made places better, I would understand but they never did that.

What I meant was that 2 pieces of land they wanted to get, forgot the names but something like Luhans and Doesn't or something. Those were taken quickly and that was agreed by news agencies all over the world, and Russia couldn't get any other place, literally failed to get any other place, which I assumed Ukraine just left those places? Why did Russia failed to takeover anywhere else but took that two city so easily? I have no idea, no seriously I really have no idea Cheesy.

Oh come on, do not tell me you are still believing "bringing democracy" is a real thing in the USA  right? They do not do that, they never wanted to do that. Even if they had no intentions of doing anything or profiting in Afghanistan (what could you take from them, not like Iraq and oil) they still do wars because they need to spend that 700 billion on military somewhere otherwise why are they even spending so much?

What doesn't belong to them means that they will not stop until they have it, and yes you may not like that but it took them about 10 minutes to take those places, and weeks and yet not able to take Kyiv. Which is proof that Ukraine sort of cared about one, and not so much about the other.
673  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting more skills in trading on: April 03, 2022, 06:53:26 PM
It is good that you are sharing these skills, they are going to be helpful to a lot of people. Anyone who decides to learn trading should as well put effort into making sure that they are applying what they have learnt on a regular.

Trading requires that you are active, because the moment you stop being active and practicing what you have learnt, there is the possibility that you might end up forgetting what you have acquired so far. So, it is good to be active and keep applying the skills that you have, so that you will keep on getting better with experience. Experience is one thing that really matters a lot, so let’s not forget that.
674  Economy / Economics / Re: Sanction is the right option? on: April 03, 2022, 03:01:55 PM
So what else would you have suggested that the world should do apart from sanction?
Do you have a better option than what is being done already? Would have been good if you stated your own opinion on what would have been done instead of placing sanctions on Russia.

As for me I believe that this action is a good move as that would cripple their economy. and the reason that this sanction was placed on Russia is because that the world wanted them to end the war, and they were warned beforehand. But, since they have decided to go ahead and attack Ukraine the world then decided to place sanction on them as a way to cripple their economy and also force them to give up.
675  Economy / Economics / Re: Indonesia To Impose 0.1% Crypto Tax Starting In May on: April 03, 2022, 08:55:52 AM
"Crypto assets will be subject to VAT because they are a commodity as defined by the trade ministry. They are not a currency," the official, Hestu Yoga Saksama, told a media briefing. "So we will impose income tax and VAT."

This decision of the Ministry of Commerce of Indonesia is caused by the fact that they do not want to recognize cryptocurrency as a digital kind of money. It is possible that it is advantageous for them to consider cryptocurrency as a commodity, since in this case they can get additional income by charging value-added tax.
There are a lot of countries today who are not ready to recognize bitcoin as a currency, they would rather see it as a commodity that people can only buy and sell, and not a currency that would be used for transactions. Like you have said, when a government recognizes an asset as a commodity, investors of that asset would have to be paying income tax and VAT (value added taxes).

Anyways, we know that this isn’t much of a big deal, compared to what we have seen happening in India where the government is charging investors up to 30% tax. Such a huge amount of tax is likely to cripple the community in that particular country. But as usual, people would always get around this.
676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins #50 - #200 market cap on: April 03, 2022, 06:02:42 AM
Your list is already a good one. If you are still looking for another cryptocurrency to add to the list I would recommend eitherCardano (ADA) or Polkadot (DOT). These two are really good choices and I was expecting them to be on the list but I’m a little bit surprised that I didn’t get to see them on your list.

So, it might be good that you consider the two or any one of them. From the voting poll that you have provided with list, I would recommend either Sushi or KEEP.

We already know how big Sushi is, and KEEP is another really good cryptocurrency that have been seen as of recent. I don’t know much about the others, so I wouldn’t really recommend the ones I don’t know about.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where will ZIL coin go? on: April 02, 2022, 10:09:54 PM
Almost one years I am stuck holding on Zilliqia coin after buying on higher price and yesterday I reach my profit and keep sell it never hold again afraid could back to lower price, slowly but sure Zilliqia coin back to the top price after last several days drastically up almost 200% more, from $0.07 and now success reach almost $0,23 and keep going up, but I was quick and better waiting when Zilliqia back to lower price again for buying back and hope could reach much profit without holding almost one year, good decision keep holding my Zil coin because can back to higher price and my fund return with little profit.
I am so glad that there are people who are smart enough to get out of things when they have to and that is a good thing for you. I do not think that it will make another ATH with a huge increase for the short term which means that you could invest into something else to make sure that you do not do badly this time around.

I am not saying that people who are holding will lose money, they may or may not lose money but getting out right now is not a bad idea at all. I would have to say that the best way to approach the current climate is to get out, and watch from afar to wait and see another drop before you get in. The cliche "buy low, sell high" situation if you will.
678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for best staking platform on: April 02, 2022, 09:39:47 PM
If you’re planning to stake just for 30 days, do not expect much from it. Maybe 120 days? That would be a better lock-up period. Again that would depend on the platform that you decide to choose, some platforms may have their own specific period that you would have to go for, and nothing less than that.

Some of them might require you to go for a year, and there are also those that would allow you to unstake your cryptocurrency at anytime you want. So these are things that you should look into before selecting a platform. When it comes to a reward that you are going to be getting, majority of them are similar in this aspect.
679  Economy / Economics / Re: When Will This War End? on: April 02, 2022, 08:06:54 PM
You can either win or lose a war! War is a disease, and disease can be either cured or lost to disease.
Accordingly, in this case, Ukraine must end the war, inflicting losses on Russia that Russia cannot bear. It will not be able to endure in terms of the destruction of army structures / units, the economy, the social situation in the country. When will it happen? It's hard to say, Ukraine is disproportionately smaller than Russia, so we need help from other countries, at least in arms, ammunition, economic and political pressure on the aggressor country. Therefore, the end of the war is a complex process, depending on many world players and their desire to participate in these processes!
It "sort of" is like that. I mean obviously it doesn't stop that way, but just look at what the USA did in Afghanistan, they didn't maybe push a button and suddenly stopped, but they just ... left and that was it. Same could happen to Russia and Ukraine war.

All Russia has to do is take the two pieces of land they occupied and wanted to do that to begin with, and leave the rest, put all soldiers there, and do not attack anyone. If they do that, I am 99% sure that along with crimea, they will be given those two new lands, and nobody will attack them and they won't attack anyone and the world will go on like nothing happened. There will be hatred there, but the war will end.
680  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Digital banking platform on: April 02, 2022, 11:59:56 AM
I didn't click the link, however, is this a new feature though?

I think most banks have digital banking already specially during the pandemic wherein everyone is using contactless transaction.

Maybe I missed something here, but in any case, there is a risk as well with our digital banking footprints so just be careful.
I don’t think there would be anything new about this platform, it’s still the same digital banking that we have been seeing for years now.  And of course, most banks these days has digital banking, I don’t think there is any bank in my country that doesn’t have a digital banking.

I don’t even need to go to my bank’s physical location to be able to make transactions, order for a card, or do most of the things that I would like to do. Most things that I would like to do with my bank I can now do them making use of the online or digital banking app that is provided by my bank. So, it is nothing new, but that doesn’t mean we wouldn’t be seeing other digital banks that will be coming up here and there online. It’s just a matter of whether they interest you or not.
