661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin for the people or for the corporations? on: November 29, 2018, 07:46:02 AM
When Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies first came out, everyone were saying that it was for the people to get their financial freedom. Now, it seems like it's being taken over by big financial institutions. Should we be worried?

Bitcoin is for everyone. That is the primary sense. However, there are prevailing systems in our society that Bitcoin cannot address. Indeed, Bitcoin is for financial freedom. There is real ownership in Bitcoin, in contrast to our fiat system. However, there is always the presence of inequality in this world. The rich can always excel more than the poor when they are really willing to use their money. Bitcoin is for everyone and yet the rich could buy a thousand fold what the poor can only afford.
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With all honesty, who still wants bitcoin to die? on: November 29, 2018, 07:16:36 AM
Only the foolish wants Bitcoin to die. They might be on the side of the greedy banks and the authoritarian governments. Because by wanting Bitcoin to die, they also want people to remain slaves of the same groups of people and institutions. If they are really supporting cryptocurrency in one way or another, they must know that killing Bitcoin might be tantamount to killing the entire cryptocurrency world.
663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you make up for the huge loss. on: November 29, 2018, 03:48:46 AM
Judging by the current crypto market situation. A lot of losses have been inquired by a lot of people including myself. We were all hoping there would a  bull run in December, as of now there are no positive sign yet of a possible bull run.

How do you make up for your losses for the while year if by December there is still no bull run?

As for me, I don't have much choices left. Actually, as much as I would like to buy more during this cheap season, I simply cannot because the largest part of my savings is already in crypto. I would just leave my portfolio intact for now. The season is not for selling so I'm gonna touch my coins when 2019 comes. HODL is the key for now.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in BTC, Altcoin, or ICO on: November 28, 2018, 12:53:05 AM
If I were you, I would rather put my investment somewhere safe and almost certain to make gains. ICO may be a good investment but the risk is so high. I will not recommend investing in ICO if you are not diligent enough to read and ask and investigate. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, Waves, and several more altcoins are always good investments. Despite a volatile market, they are always directed toward a bigger growth in the future.
665  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto adoption on: November 28, 2018, 12:22:16 AM
If crypto does gain massive adoption and you are able to pay for things in crypto, there would be less of a reason for people to cash out into fiat. How would government collect taxes from crypto gains then? Also, if something like ETH becomes big, how is the government gonna stop people from making pyramids, ponzis, and scams in general?

You know what, the governments do not run out of ways to collect taxes from the people. As a matter of fact, they have mastered it to a high level. That is where they are experts of. As to how to convert these taxes into people's services, they are very weak. Anyway, every time we purchase, they could already impose appropriate taxes. But this could only be done when the store or shop, online or not, is duly registered with the government.
666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it the start of the bullrun already? on: November 27, 2018, 09:28:14 AM
The bull run is yet to come. And I think the bull run that will come soon will still be not as bullish as the one that happened a year ago. There is too much to recover for now. So we will be targeting a rather mild goal for this coming bull run. $15,000 within the year might be too high a target. I think the lowest 5-digit value for BTC is going to make everyone happy.
667  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm loosing. What to do? on: November 27, 2018, 08:58:40 AM
What to do now when things get worse every day, only hold will help us? Who is trying to survive in such a market? Your advice, friends!

There are several options actually, although I would admit that HODLing is the easiest and most convenient. After all, there will always be a time for price recovery. That is for sure. But if you want to acquire back your loss more quickly, and if you still have more money to invest, you could actually buy right now while the prices are much cheaper. This would at least make up for your losses when you bought the same coins at a more expensive price.

Most of all, do not sell for now.
668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's go to Singapore! We can pay with Btc there. on: November 27, 2018, 08:27:02 AM
Actually, there are so many Asian countries where you can use your Bitcoin as payment. In fact, not just Bitcoin. Aside from Singapore, you can pay with cryptocurrency in selected restaurants, stores, and other business establishments in other Asian countries such as The Philippines, Thailand, Japan, Hongkong, and some more. However, there are limited business establishments that accept cryptocurrency. We need more of these.
669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we still believe in Bitcoin? on: November 26, 2018, 09:11:24 AM
Yes I truly believe in cryptocurrency. We all know that the basic aim of everyone for participating in any investment market is to earn profits and there is nothing wrong in that. But a person should have some realistic goals. You can invest in something blindly and then expect your money to be doubled in a week. You should research and study properly and take every decision wisely.

The subject to me is a little misleading. I don't know but it suggests a negative implication. You could have just removed the "Do" and the "?".  Wink

Anyway, as to any kind of investment, not just in crypto, there should always be a process of planning and choosing what's best. And that will not be done overnight. It has to be done over and over again. Investment is synonymous to risk-taking.
670  Economy / Economics / Re: 10th Birthday, Bitcoin Price Is No Longer Exciting ? on: November 26, 2018, 08:10:48 AM
The excitement never ends. Whether the direction of the line is upward or downward, there is always a little excitement or anxiety or anticipation. Bitcoin never losses such. I think the excitement is not of the coming days. It is of the coming months and years of its existence. But more than the price movement, I am excited of its overall adoption around the world.
671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have received some tokens. Should I sell or hold? on: November 26, 2018, 07:40:49 AM
I am a full time bounty hunter. But I am not good at making decisions. Because recently I have received some tokens from a bounty campaign. Now I am really confused about, should I sell the tokens or should I hold them for the price to be a rise?

Note: The token company is saying that the price will go higher. On the other hand, some experts are saying that the token is not good enough to go higher price. What should I do?

The token company will always be in favor of their very own tokens. Because at the end of the day, the value of their tokens will be entirely up to the interest of the investors and traders. I think you will be better guided if you listen to the experts. But then the best way to gauge the value of their tokens is to look at the viability and practicality of the project. If the project is very interesting according to your review, keep their tokens.
672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [ETH REWARD BASED BOUNTY] 🚀 IOVO ⚡ ❗ 350 ETH + 5M $ worth of IOVO Tokens❗ on: November 23, 2018, 07:44:14 AM
Hello bountyportals! The OP says there will be a total of $20,000,000 worth of IOVO tokens to be distributed for the entire bounty campaign while the title says $5M. This is misleading. Please clarify. Thanks!
673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto market in depression on: November 23, 2018, 05:35:37 AM
The crypto market is on a rapid downward spiral and almost all coins including so called good coins are down in prices. Is there any chances the market will recover? In my opinion, it takes the end of the year 2018 to recover the market. What are your views?

We cannot tell when for sure the market will start recovering. The damage of the bear market is terribly huge. You can only imagine the entire 2018 as a bear year for the entire cryptocurrency market. However, as to the question whether it will recover or not, I am 100% sure of its recovery. I just cannot say when exactly. I am seeing the last month of the year as a green month though. If Bitcoin surpasses 10,000 USD by that time, I am already happy.
674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I pessimistic or is bitcoin still over hyped? on: November 23, 2018, 05:05:06 AM
To be honest, this was also my idea at the start, back when I was still thinking twice and was always prodded to try it. But when I entered into the community and has a stake already in its rise and fall, my mind has drastically changed. The objectivity has been gone. I can be accused of bias right now because I have BTC in my wallets.

But my idea is that the vision is real. It is always real. The problem comes when people are buying BTC without even knowing the vision, concerned only of the price. The blind hyping and promotion led a lot of people to join the bandwagon and eventually think, when the prices go down so low, that this is just a kind of a scheme or an experiment, and leave. But the truth is that they do not know the real idea behind the creation of the coin.
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be deceived... on: November 22, 2018, 11:13:51 AM
This is a time we all need to be very careful. So many will be coerced into selling what they have, but i tell you, never allow yourself to be deceived. It will definitely get better. A little patience will not harm you.
Times like this will surely come, only the strong can overcome.

Oh yeah. These are definitely trying times. In times like these, "a little patience" is certainly not enough. The patience one has has to be deep. The belief one has in cryptocurrency should not be shallow, or else, one has to be easily swayed by this very temporary yet shocking event. But then again, one only has to look back and realize that it has always been this way.
676  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Future of Economy! on: November 22, 2018, 07:28:07 AM
Now we can see some countries are regulating bitcoin and some government don't like it.Otherwise Bitcoin hasn't a stable price.
So my question is can bitcoin be a main currency of world economy?

It can still be used as a main currency of the world. However, I think it cannot be at the present state. It has to reach a certain level of stability, or else our world market will be in chaos more or less. We cannot entertain a currency which will be so volatile that what we can buy with a box of pizza today could only afford a piece of candy the following day. That cannot be a currency.
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Game Over for Bitcoin? on: November 22, 2018, 06:58:25 AM
This is a game over to those half-cooked supporters of Bitcoin. Indeed, to those who have week hands. But insofar as the true-blooded supporters of Bitcoin is concerned, this is just another round in which it will not give you profit but a lesson in patience. I am not that interested in patience lessons at first but my hard experiences teach me how important it is in this crypto path we all take.
678  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is not the end of bitcoin on: November 22, 2018, 06:28:23 AM
bitcoin won't end that easily, it's just a graph to see the increase in bitcoin in the future. so this is not the end of bitcoin believe me and stay in bitcoin.
I agree with what you say in your opinion that the development of the crypto currency is actually in the hands of the investors themselves and it requires investors who like you have enough confidence and patience to invest

The real fate of cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin, is actually not only in the hands of investors. The investors are secondary. The real fate of cryptocurrency is in the hands of the developers themselves. If the development of any coin for that matter is not according to the taste and standards of potential investors, all of these are nothing. They will not be attracted and therefore the coins will amount to nothing.

We flocked to support Bitcoin primarily because of the vision.
679  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to trade altcoins? on: November 22, 2018, 02:23:21 AM
If you have been trading Bitcoins then you must have already learned the basics of trading. The patterns and what you make out of them must already be familiar with you. But when you enter the altcoin arena, you will be spending more time for monitoring. More than the candles, you must also be very keen on the fundamentals. That what makes altcoins pump. Constantly update yourself with them.
680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: You think the Crypto market will keep growing? on: November 22, 2018, 01:53:27 AM
The longer you stay in the crypto community, the more experience you will get, the more you realize that the ride is always up and down. When you are already experienced with all these rough roads, you will also get indifferent and numb when sudden market crashes happen. You will come at a point when you only laugh at it because you know that there will always be a stronger recovery once the smoke of the dump clears out.
