661  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Hitbtc is not helping me to recover my fund nor catching the hacker on: November 25, 2019, 10:59:37 AM
There's nothing both exchange can do about your case because it is a total waste of time for them, especially when it has been withdrawn to the local bank account. Your country is not crypto regulated and it's you get ignored by the bank or face legal issues.
Next time, always check the first and last three characters of the wallet address you are withdrawing/sending to.
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there such things as Crypto-currency heists? on: November 23, 2019, 07:42:18 PM
There is cryptocurrency heist, especially for those that shows off their asset in crypto. And I learnt that kidnappers now accepts bitcoin in some countries. Stealing crypto ATM can't be classified under a crypto heist because it's loaded with fiats.
663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 6 safety concerns? on: November 23, 2019, 06:39:13 PM
Well, I do not have much safety in this crypto space. My only concern is exchange hacking and losing important things in a fire incident. I don't want to experience my funds stolen on an exchange the moment my funds are there.
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble with a controlled mindset on: November 23, 2019, 04:23:18 PM

How can you control your mindset while gambling, this is really not easy I must say you are drawn to playing it over and over again it doesn't matter if you are winning or losing
Self discipline is very important, yes. But it's not too hard is you painted this. A gambler will come to his right senses the day he starts to analyse his bet history. You can only gamble if you have funds but you come back to your senses once you blow it away on gamble, then you adjust with the way you gamble.
665  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Warning}: Bitaddress.org Phishing websites on: November 23, 2019, 09:19:20 AM
They target their victims directly by spreading links on forums and Telegram groups.
And this makes it more hard to shut them down because they have multiple telegram accounts. And some host might decide not to respond to such report because they are being paid for their service.
Best is to keep spreading awareness to members here. Those scammers always target new members in telegram groups.

If the account was hacked, why are there no changes in password according to bpip?

This is probably the second account hacked claim that I've read but there were no pw changes. Here's the other one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4932173.0

That's true.
If the account was hacked, why didn't the hacker changed the password. He should login with the password to claim his account back. So many new accounts with same story everytime. But the account was up for sale before and the account seems to have changed hand.
667  Other / Meta / Re: BTC forum account hacked on: November 23, 2019, 06:28:18 AM
From my finding, I found out in your trust settings that your account was up for sale on February 16, 2015. The account also posted in the Indonesian board after then.

You attempted to sell your account and I'm sure you sold it.

You can proof ownership by signing a message from this address you staked on July 2015. But I'm not sure that will solve anything in your case.

Edit: you should move this topic to investigation or reputation.
668  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dangerous disadvantage of web wallet. on: November 22, 2019, 10:36:24 PM

So how to protect yourself from mistakes? There are many scammers on the Internet.
In this case, I don't think any one should be called scam here because this is just a from the victim and investment platform. I don't know how the platform works but he should have contacted them with a preferred wallet immediately after he requested for refund.
Most web wallet and exchange wallets doesn't send out from your the wallet they provide because they are like contract addresses.
669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin never goes past 5-10KUSD again, what is the best action? on: November 22, 2019, 07:59:18 PM
For bitcoin price be around the range of 5k to 10k shows more stability and there will be more adoption. The only thing we should be scared of is the price manipulation caused by whales because most of the price spikes are result of manipulation.
This will be a good chance for those that wants to store their funds in crypto.
670  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do people decide to create Cryptocurrencies? on: November 22, 2019, 05:07:07 PM
It won't be a hard process for those that just want to create it for their personal gain or those that wants to scam the community out of it, especially tokens the ethereum blockchain.
For the serious ones that want real use case for the coin, they will have to spend a lot of funds for Conferences, marketing, going through legal process and all of that.
I remember back in May when deflationary tokens were rolling out, those coins were just created with hype, then they dump on the holders. They didn't spend much because they copy other deflationary token codes to make theirs.
671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Reddit add Bitcoin as a payment method for their Reddit coins? on: November 21, 2019, 06:33:20 PM
To be honest, I don't want this to happen again. Let them add whatever shitcoins certain communities want them to, but the Reddit crowd is already crypto-aware enough.
Being crypto aware on a platform is a great thing and it's not bad if there is a petition for bitcoin or other alts to be used as a payment method on reddit.
Bitcoin has being on reddit for years though but I don't know the reason it got removed as one of their payment method.
672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Enters Indian Market With Acquisition of Crypto Exchange WazirX on: November 21, 2019, 12:49:06 PM
This a great news and a great step towards adoption of cryptocurrency by the Indians, but
Quote
There's another potential hurdle for Binance in India, with a government panel said to be mulling legislation that would ban cryptos completely in the country.
The Indian government doesn't seem to like crypto at all. Such risk may be little to Binance but what if this acquisition cause the ban of crypto in India?
673  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this a scam? on: November 21, 2019, 07:18:39 AM
This is a very different scam tactic. You mentioned that he traded for you and some of your friends and now he  wants 2 BTC for whatever reason he told you. Two things are involved here
1: Either he got hacked and the hacker wants to seize the opportunity but this is slightly possible, or
2. He believes he has gained your trust and wants to use that weakness against you.
Overall conclusion, don't send anything to any wallet and stop sending random stranger on the internet to do things for you.

5. Their reputation/customer support /instant withdraw etc.
This is the first thing that makes me use use a gambling platform. If the CS does not respond to complaints, then I forget about them.

3. The graphics are mesmerizing/mobile support/good UI.
Great UI plays an important role in gambling sites. I prefer gambling sites with good user interface.
676  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Ledger nano X (To The moon Edition ) on: November 20, 2019, 07:49:58 PM
Post in the marketplace here in Bitcointalk, there might be people who are interested.

where is the marketplace located thanks hopefully I could sell this and yea i understand which is going to be hard to sell Embarrassed

100% sure you won't get any buyer for that. It's very unsafe to buy used hardware wallet. That edition may worth something in the future and you may sell it. Limited Edition items are always scarce and expensive.
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and quantum computing dangers on: November 20, 2019, 05:12:14 PM
The purpose of creating a quantum computer won't be because of this. The reason it's been created is for the government for research purposes. I am sure they won't be much out there because it's going to be very expensive.
678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks Are Never There When You Need Them - That's Why We Need Bitcoin on: November 20, 2019, 03:01:47 PM
Both banks and Cryptocurrency have their own fans. You cant teach an illiterate how to create or run a bitcoin wallet, they won't listen, and that's why they stick to banks and allow them bank to keep their money. It's easy to explain to most literate or internet users about Cryptocurrency.

Just like the quote above, before you are able to access loan facilities from most banks, you must produce a collateral with a higher value than the funds needed.
Same thing with bitcoin lending platforms. Check Nexo and some other crypto lending platform, they will ask you for 2x of the amount you want to order as collateral. I have no idea about any crypto lending platform that doesn't ask for much collateral and if they are, I'm sure they will be very few.
679  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Difference between Cryptotalk(get free ban from ayatollah) and Bitcointalk on: November 20, 2019, 11:19:54 AM

the forum works if the moderators do good their job, and this mean motivate the ban and the warning
I hope you know both forums are totally different and you should take that complain/discussion to crypto talk. I think your purpose for signing up on cryptotalk forum is because they pay you to post and now you complain about the way they moderate.
If you don't want like the forum, there are many other forums you can go to.
680  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Trading competition good way to earn money? on: November 19, 2019, 07:20:26 PM
For you to be able to participate in trading competition, need a lot of funds and there is high there because sometimes, the team just needs volume for their coin/token and then decides to dump during the process making the reward worthless.
