it's definitely believable that the exchange is simply overwhelmed and it's probably really difficult to find capable help for something like that instead of him doing seemingly all of it.

I just looked and the exchange says there are 2,419 people online, yet trade has been suspended for like 13hours, so what are they doing? It's all BS, the user numbers and account numbers if you haven't figured that out already. |

Probably, you would need to contact the Australian Federal Police Cybercrime division, they would be the only ones with the authority to track down RS concealed identity. The Australian Tax Office might investigate too if you tell them about the $millions involved, especially after the inputs.io saga was all over the media. |

I think realsolid has been very cautious to keep his identity anonymous, and I believe that's the reason the site will always be one man project.
There is no such thing as anonymous, always a money trail for the services you use. RS could hire casual help desk staff to handle all the emails and pay them in BTC if he wanted to, I think he is nuts doing what he does, and I am not having a go at him, I think he is suffering from a psychological disorder like the micro-management types in corporates that can't delegate tasks, hiding behind multiple aliases is also another sign. I am no expert in psychology, but I can pick the basics from reading his chat logs. |

RS claims he has done no wrong, however the tone of the users seems to indicate the opposite, it's not just a vocal minority either, he had to appoint two new moderators in a hurry to keep up with the chat bans, interesting times.

It was one man's exchange before the IPO, and he could do whatever he want that time. But now? After collected more than millions, then claiming cannot maintain it by one person, and cannot hire some talents to help you with millions of dollars? Unbelievable. Fortunately I did not invest on this guy and his website.
Incorrect. He was not selling shares of the exchange. He was selling shares of the fees the exchange generates. This is an important distinction because it protects him from legal action. That is to say, you are fucked and have no recourse. I've been posting about this for months now. @GoldSeal, got a screenshot of that? I'm gonna write an article about this and would love a record of all the ridiculous shit he's saying. I have pointed the wayback machine at it in case RS decides to delete the chat logs. |

Agree with OP you only have a few minutes before the Fees become useless at least for now.
Man I really feel sorry for those that are invested in Fees. It seems like a great idea and I commend him for be innovative but this proves that nothing of this magnitude can be run by one person.
There are millions of dollars at stake here, this is looking like the crypto scam of all time. Essentially the people that paid 0.4BTC per fee share float recently have been scammed, without trade the promise of those fee shares is now worthless, they can't be used elsewhere, there should be refunds. |

mcxNOW has seen unprecedented growth in recent months and especially in the last few weeks. mcxNOW is a custom coded exchange built 100% by one man in C++ . This means if anything has to be modified then only one person can do it.
Unfortunately the growth has been too fast to match with the support requirement as only one person can currently do all support. This is a burden of 200 to 400 emails a day among many requests on IRC and through chat. This makes development of mcxNOW nearly impossible without neglecting valid user requests through support.
I am happy that in over 7 months mcxNOW has not been hacked or lost any coins and that the exchange has scaled well from 100 users upto a peak of about 3500 users online at once, it shows the design here is pretty good. However I never anticipated some aspects of running an exchange that are quite important (ie. support) so I need to work on this before allowing the site to grow. There is so much wrong with that it's not funny. Firstly all you have to do halt growth, is stop new account registrations, not stop providing a service altogether. Secondly you implement a support ticketing system that several people have access to, as most support queries will be the same basic stuff over and over that doesn't require RS to answer. It takes like a few hours to install one of the numerous open source support ticketing systems and have it polling an email box, I have done it many times. Lastly to suspend the trading of all coins without even a days warning is just wrong. |

I would say that telling the market the site is closing down, was the best way RS could think of to crash the price of fees. why would he want to do that? to buy his site back? You sell 28k fees @ 0.4BTC then get them back for next to zero, the news has crashed them to 0.06BTC already. However, it's unlikely the fees will have any value for him, as he has blown everyones trust, therfore no users for the new site, without lots of trading users, the fees have no value. |

You can set your computer to the right time, but it doesn't mean your peers are when you try and send them a newly mined
block, so you may still get an orphan even though you are on the correct time, just because your peers are not.

Except the fees have never been priced in USD, I guess you could distract from the issue by comparing their performance to any other currency. How about Zimbabwe? If you insist on making USD comparisons, then the issue is very clear, the fees cost 0.4BTC, if you didn't buy them and simply kept your 0.4BTC you would now have $320 instead of $175 so you have lost $145 profit by buying the fees. There are too many fees in circulation atm. RS needs to buy back about another 5k to get them back to their former glory. |
