681  Economy / Services / Re: NEWBIES & JR MEMBERS Signature PAYMENT - NEW RATES! on: June 12, 2014, 03:16:49 AM
Well I got paid all of what I posted, how is he scamming?

You're asking this when you're advertising for a Ponzi? Gee Wilikers! I wonder how he scammed someone.  Roll Eyes
682  Economy / Lending / Re: Apply for a $10 Loan--- COLLATERAL REQUIRED---- on: June 12, 2014, 03:12:16 AM
Wow, this is rather ridiculous. For $10 such accounts are put at risk and you still want the Youtube video hassle?
There are better options out there.

Huge hassle for such a small amount, and then you have to pay back 150%...Seems a little too much for my taste.

Yes. $10 may seem like a little bit for those of us who already have it. But people need what I have. And they will get it quick and easy. If this model works, meaning profitable, I will offer larger loans. But, at the beginning, I'm not going to offer $100 loans. I KNOW I"m trustworthy. I don't want accounts, I just want my money back + interest w/o chasing people around for my money. I don't have time for that.

You saying your trust worthy means nothing. My account is worth approx. .2BTC, just because of my Full Member status. That versus $10. You could easily sell my account, while I only get $10.

Your account may be worth .2 btc to someone. But your account isn't worth .000000000001,  in any currency, to me. I don't want your facebook, bitcointalk or youtube account to keep. I'm just using it so I don't have to chase people down for my money. I just want my money. If you pay me back in 5 mins, that's cool. Get your account back. If I wanted to steal people's account, wouldn't I make a much sweeter offer?

No, you'd be a untrusted member asking for accounts for collateral... Oh wait a second... Hmm. That sounds familiar. OH RIGHT.

"I actually have a deal with my parents that if I make a million dollars before I turn 18, I don't have to go to college," he said. "I’m going to do it or die trying."

LOL this kid don't want to go to college Smiley))

I hope he changes his mind if he makes that million!

College doesn't guarantee you anything. Really tired of people preaching of this mystical world called college. I go to college, but it's not like I'm going to get a ton of opportunities, or even a career in what I'm currently going for.

Why do you want him to change his mind, exactly?

Because of this

"I actually have a deal with my parents that if I make a million dollars before I turn 18, I don't have to go to college," he said. "I’m going to do it or die trying."

there are lots of kids who forego college and get on the fast-track in computer technology though. you don't need to go to school if you're a really bright kid, which this kid may or may not be.

Well I have friends who are really rich!

And they went to USA for MBA because they wanted to learn more ... so learning is always good no matter how good your businesses is doing!

and because you live to learn! when yo stop learning new things it's like you died!

That's irrelevant. You don't need to go to college to learn. Hell, many successful people didn't go to college and made very successful businesses. I'm not saying learning is bad, but you don't need to go to college. And please, calm down with the bold and underlining.
685  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: June 12, 2014, 12:53:45 AM
Is this not plagiarizing PD or what? Couldn't even create their own signature for their lame website.

Is that a new signature deal? I think XBTec's is pretty close to PDs, but I sometimes see things. Does anyone else notice this?
686  Other / Meta / Re: escrow.ms no remove rating on: June 12, 2014, 12:43:44 AM
A person could put, "He fucked my donkey" and not need to remove it. Escrow is extremely trusted in the marketplace section and the whole forum. Nobody really HAS to remove trust. Unless a staff member gets involved.

Sorry for your loss, Dutch. Many people on this forum, including me, have already felt the sting of losing someone close. Just keep your cool, bud.
689  Other / Off-topic / Re: Advice on gaming computer? on: June 11, 2014, 09:25:56 PM
You should be willing to spend a ton of money every few months for a new, faster graphics card if you're a hardcore gamer (such as me). I remember my old computer I made cost me 1K+. I ended up selling it for more, since I was constantly upgrading it.
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Expedia, world's largest travel company, now accepts Bitcoin. Your thoughts? on: June 11, 2014, 08:57:55 PM
I use Expedia, so I guess it's a huge plus for me. Fast, efficient, and money saving. Might help bump up the Bitcoin price, but will definitely bump up the knowledge of Bitcoin.
691  Other / Off-topic / Re: WORLD'S LARGEST GUMMY BEAR!!! MUST SEE!!!!! on: June 11, 2014, 08:48:12 PM
Which ever way you eat it, by the time you finished the last bite, you wish you'll never see a gummy bear ever again (or anything sweet) Cheesy

I can just imagine a kid rolling on his side groaning next to one of these gummies with head chewed off  Cheesy

Either that, or a piece of their 'World's Largest Gummy Worm' creeping out of his mouth. With some of their other products, like Hershey Bars and Kisses. (Plus giant Reeses.)
692  Other / Off-topic / Re: Define Trolling. on: June 11, 2014, 08:39:43 PM
I don't think the natural definition of trolling can extend to every act of trolling. For instance, my Alpha Male thread, 10,000BTC Loan, and 'I have a confession to make/I'm a tree' never really disrupted anyone, and I didn't post them for attention.

It was just my sarcastic way of asking or stating my opinion. Such as, "Why do people ask for extraordinary amounts of loans, and then posts on of the stupidest lies?"
693  Other / Off-topic / Re: WORLD'S LARGEST GUMMY BEAR!!! MUST SEE!!!!! on: June 11, 2014, 08:34:26 PM
The five pound gummy bear, eh? I remember a video on YouTube were people were using them for target practice.
694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 15-Year-Old Makes $100,000 on Bitcoin on: June 11, 2014, 08:17:20 PM
I bet this 15 year old will 'yolo' his 100K away in months

Don't generalize the kids. If he is smart enough to invest in Bitcoin, then definitely he is smart enough to spend the money wisely. People who win lottery jackpots usually spend their money recklessly, as they feel that they got the money without any effort. However, in this case, the kid took extreme risk by lending money from his grandma.

Read the article.  He blew a lot of money already on some tutoring crap.  With only only 100 subscribers, if the kid went on Shark Tank they'ld laugh him away.

Oh woe is thee! Spending money to help better someone's Education. And not to mention, have you read the article? His tutors can charge whatever they like. Right now he's getting 30% royalty.

30% of $39/hr (Which is what one of his tutors are offering) equals approx. $11/hr to him.

Tell me, Rupert, what would your business be like? And Shark Tank (Which is just one show on entrepreneurs, and yes, I fucking love it.) won't have 'laugh you off'? And just because he's a kid doesn't mean that all of his decisions are idiotic. Every entrepreneur makes a stupid decision in their lifetime.
695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Community at its Worst on: June 11, 2014, 07:53:31 PM
reddit is hardly an example of community, look what they did with Doge, they basically kicked moolah out with their aggressiveness and censorship.

I don't use reddit. They lost me when they decided to censor peoples political beliefs.

I'm finding the same thing. And r/bitcoin is no different. The admins will heap together downvotes on stories that they would prefer to not see on the front page or just delete threads altogether. Don't call something a community when it is really an oligarchy. Information should be left to it's own merits, and admins and mods should see only that the forum rules and etiquette be followed. Information filtering/censorship is wrong and damaging for the community.

It's good that schools got computers for the kids to learn on in the 90's, but you should have to pass an internet ethics course before being allowed to use the internet Wink. The conversation can deteriorate into what sounds like Halo or Call of Duty gaming chat rather quickly. It is frustrating.

Disclaimer: I still read reddit.
Umm... LOL? Do you realize what a Oligarchy is/was? I doubt the Admins of r/bitcoin would be so hellbent rich and voting down votes because, it's a Oligarchy people!

Isn't that irrelevant itself? Going on to a new topic whilst talking about this Oligarchy?

Reddit is terrible. I hate that place. It seems its always the most aggressive that gets noticed and it's a shame.

They also like to shut down political discourse that disagrees with the residents of their echo chamber. No thanks.

Anyway, back on saying 'reddit'  'Reddit' is terrible. I love how you guys are just giving one example, which is r/bitcoin, and saying ALL of Reddit is terrible. There's so many subreddits on Reddit, that you can barely count. Yet, you speak of each one questioning the 'Politicial beliefs'.

Oh yes, every Subreddit, including r/trees, r/gonewild, r/NoSleep, r/NoSleep Butler, r/Gaming, and hell, even r/WTF, too, huh?

Because that's totally not a invalid generalization, and guess what? Now everybody over at 4Chan never fight with each other. Oh, and yes, everyone in the Bitcoin community are blood thirsty scammers looking for another buck.  Roll Eyes

EDIT: r/LetsNotMeet is now the leader of their 'Oligarchy'.
696  Economy / Lending / Re: [REQ] 0.03 BTC loan for 5 days, return 0.04 BTC on: June 11, 2014, 07:19:05 PM
This is sad. Sad Such a small loan and he isn't able to pay it back lol.

Could we get a list here on people who have loaned previously and paid it back in time? So we know who we can trust and who we can't.

That list still won't help. Trusting somebody with a loan without collateral is mostly a 75% chance you'll get scammed from someone without good reputation. And even then, they can still default it. It's not a guarantee if you lend without collateral. What's the point?
697  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Looking for loan 80 btc on: June 11, 2014, 06:19:06 AM
Didn't you post in a different board that you are looking for 60 BTC loan? Completely pointless...dont bother scamming. I doubt anyone is stupid enough to fall for it.

He posted a loan five times in two weeks. All of them were extraordinary amounts.
698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Community at its Worst on: June 10, 2014, 03:53:12 AM
Is it safe to come out again?

I say this because on Sunday we saw the very worst of the so called 'Bitcoin Community' (apologies to most on this forum as probably the silent majority also watched) on both this forum and Reddit where literally hundreds of vitriolic, aggressive, threatening etc posts / conversations were sprayed out left right and center attacking the CEX.IO / GHash.IO entity, including death and violence threats to owners / users of that service.

It was totally pathetic and to me it showed one very good reason why Bitcoin has a lot of growing up to do. No, not because of the 51% issue (yes that does need to be addressed, but by the industry participants / guardians of the Bitcoin protocol themselves collaboratively) but because of the type of poisonous rhetoric that came forth over the past day or so. Just imagine a newbie to crypto currency having a look at this new opportunity doing a bit of research on the so called informative forums to be presented with the type of crap that was seen. They would quickly retreat back to the 'Yeh Mt.Gox and angry trolls is what Bitcoin is all about to me'

How can we have an industry grow and encourage innovation and expect mainstream uptake when companies that offer services people want to use get attacked and vilified because they are doing a good job and attracting customers over and above their competitors. Lets all attack Intel they have too many processors in the computer ecosystem, lets all attack Apple they have far too many mobile phones in the mobile ecosystem.

So for me, Bitcoin Community needs to learn a lesson from this and look at a way of collaboratively addressing the underlying issue.

hope is to increase adoption in order to dilute the Bitcoin community so that it is no worse than the average American

More like the average citizen. Why would you just center out on 'the average American' or any Nationality in general? They're still human beings, some human beings are 'worse'. I don't get how comparing it to a 'average' American works out?
699  Economy / Services / Re: XBTec ASICs. We pay for signature. Weekly payouts on: June 10, 2014, 03:48:42 AM
LOL, I messaged a friend to get in on this campaign. That was like 6-8 hours ago. Looks like all the Jr Members beat him to it. XBTec: you should open it up for a handful of reputable Senior/Hero members.... Tongue

I doubt he'll do that, but who really knows? Paying for Full Members and under are cheaper than Senior or Hero. That would be more money out of his pockets if he does so.
700  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.35 Loan, will pay back 0.45 on: June 09, 2014, 10:25:51 PM
At least the Bitcoin address wasn't used on Raptor's account. That's most likely minor proof saying his account wasn't hacked. But, meh.  Roll Eyes
