681  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Let's Discuss About Movies and TV Shows! on: January 07, 2024, 02:30:12 PM
Since the Koreans are now racially discriminating us, I see a sudden rise in Netflix's algorithm promoting Korean movies and series. I would not lie but some of them are so good that you forget that you are watching Korean movies or series. I won't list down my best list as I know you all will straight away go and watch the trailer first and then watch it.

The movie that I am going to talk about today is a vintage movie, where you would not have a clue what is happening until you see the end. The movie is The Others, it is a movie for me the first time to watch when I have seen a female as the protagonist of the movie. The movie is so smooth and it goes on without you knowing it has consumed 120 minutes, if I am correct.

Watch it with the family as it does not have anything related to sex or nudity. Sharing the poster for everyone to see. IMDB is 7.6/10

682  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is going on??? on: January 07, 2024, 01:58:06 PM

Teleporting an account from Bitcointalk to Altcoinstalks, and using a same password. It breaks an important principle, don't reuse password on different platforms.

A small question if someone teleported their account but does not log out can this issue happen? What I understand is that if a user is logged in continuously it is not that easy for a scammer to hack the account as they would first need to hack the email account. I do not think changing the password will help anyone and I do understand that by using free VPNs you can get an IP address from Europe. I am not pointing any fingers at anyone what I am asking and suggesting is simple logic.

I am using the VPN now and will update you with a screenshot if I am correct you might be able to see the same IP address. Although there is no guarantee as to how the IPs will show up. Free VPNs do not give special protection as paid VPNs. I am now using the US and tomorrow I will be using Germany, as I have said earlier I am not pointing fingers at anyone. It is just a try to substantiate someone's claim and if everything goes well it would be proved.
683  Local / India / Re: Best Topic Contest for the Indian Local Board on: January 07, 2024, 01:31:34 PM
Bitcoin Smith is the only individual who has submitted his topic and also requested an extension. I am going ahead and extending this competition till the 15th of this month. I am not sure why no one on this board is creating topics as they used to be. When you have a chance to win Bitcoin before the bull run for free, you should participate in such a competition. @Parvati_j you have still time and for others who are active on the local board you have this wonderful opportunity. None of the other local boards give such an opportunity.

I have updated the OP.
If lack of merits is the factor then that should not be a problem here on. Let people show a little bit of activity with well thought out and useful posts.

I also sent some merit to you @pakhitheboss so you can have sMerit top-ups. Lets get this wagon rolling. Would love to see who bags the prize. i would say that keep extending the competition till we have some good traction. I can help top-up the prize pool when this one ends.

@amishmanish thanks a lot for again being active on the local board. Yes, lack of merits is a big issue to keep this small crowd of active members motivated. You can check the stats of the local board posted by Bitcoin Smith every month. November has been very bad for the board and I am expecting the

[UPDATE] November 2023

Insights

1 Number of posts : Decreased from 369 to 236.

2. Active users (atleast 1 post) : Decreased from 86 to 31.

3 Merits shared : Decreased from 318 to 61.

4. Merit per post ratio : Decreased from 0.86 to 0.26

Credits: Rikafip

November has been very bad for the board and I am expecting the same outcome for December, which will be out by the end of this month. What we need is an active merit source who can spare some time and spread the merits on posts or topics that are up to the standards of Bitcointalk. If not them I can be someone who can send you through DM the list of posts/topics that are suited for merits.

When @Heisenberg_Hunter was active we did see a rise in activity here and we were very happy as a community. I am aware of the reason why he is inactive now and in the meantime, you can look into the situation of merits on this board. I have tried my level best to get the child boards also active apart from the main board.

684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC unconfirmed transactions exceed 500k on mempool on: January 07, 2024, 01:15:47 PM
I just now checked the transaction fee and it has come down significantly. As of now, it is trending around 30-40 sat/vB which is a good sign considering the past two to three weeks. I do not think it will go much lower as gone are the days when it used to be around 10-12 sat/vB. I have not heard that the devs are considering the option of increasing the block size, but if it happens it will be a temporary solution. I am not sure where you came up with this idea @new19980, I am certain that you are an alt and it looks like you are trying to create a narrative of your own.
685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether minted more USDT. on: January 07, 2024, 10:57:58 AM
Its not like new headlines but thus has been happening eversince. Most people didnt aware of the unli lint function of tether, its fine as lonh ad thry backed it with real asset however this has been the major issue that needs to address since then cause some says they dont equate their real asset with this minting. Scary enough but using usdt is only good for trading not for holding.

The perfect usage of USDT as per my experience is to pay someone for their service and who is sitting in a different country. It was created to help traders and a lot of traders have been using it for its stability since it is pegged to USD. It would be fullish to hold it as its USD value won't go up but will remain stable. What makes it even worse is that Tether can anytime freeze it, which makes it like a financial weapon for the government. I do see so many red flags for using Tether but it is still the most used stablecoin in the crypto ecosystem, which confuses me.
686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing Royal Shiba , Next meme king ! on: January 06, 2024, 06:14:18 PM
WTF! People are still not able to get out of Shiba inu and now we have another one. Why on eart would anyone again invest on a dog. Don't you think there is enough shit coins dedicated to the dog breed Shiba Inu. You are still looking to cash out on the same concept with a different name.

As usual these copy version come up every four years before halving. Most of these shit coins die after halving is done in a span of a year or half. I think it is better to stay away from such shit coins.
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Talk community's input has made a real impact on: January 06, 2024, 10:54:34 AM
Let's be honest. You are creating these for shilling purposes.

Most of the people on that thread are saying the airdrop scheme is bad and potentially is a scam. Most of people in here are at least not really stupid at all, we avoiding any kind of deposit things for airdrop.

Based the experience, It's ended scam/rugpull.

The OP does not think that we as a community are smart, indeed he thinks that we are stupid. A scammer trying to lure community members to pay 0.1BNB on a project that does not have any use case. First, he tried convincing everyone that it is an airdrop from the first post that he created. Not realizing that in airdrop tokens are dropped for free and no one pays for those tokens. In desperation, he comes up with a brilliant idea and creates another topic using the same airdrop URL. What a moron this guy is! He is wasting his time by creating the same topic with a different title.
688  Local / India / Re: ₹ Erupee transactions hit 1 million per day on: January 06, 2024, 10:39:41 AM
They achieved 1 million transaction per day by asking their employees to use it, that is some stupid tactics. Few days back I received a notification from my bank that a small transaction using the digital rupee wallet will qualify me for a bonu of INR 5. Even Amazon give more cash back than those the RBI. If they want Indians to use the digital rupee like UPI they need to provide some good offers first. Such shitty offers won't help them.
689  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which Casino and Sportsbook have the best UI? Which others can improve? on: January 06, 2024, 09:55:00 AM
I have used three casinos till now and I felt all three of them have good UI. My first casino was Stake and it has changed a lot from its inception. Early on it was only a casino, later on, they added a sportsbook and to date, it has a smooth and easy user interface. The next casino that I have used is Roobet what I like most about it is vivid colors and graphic images. The last one is BC.game, a lot of new casinos are coming up with the same template with a little change in color combination and graphics.
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone just sent 26 BTC to genesis block address on: January 06, 2024, 09:46:13 AM
26BTC is big amount in todays scenario where the value of 1BTC is above 40k USD. The transaction does not look like it was sent to the Genesis block in error. It looks to me that it was sent deliberately, the person who did this transaction I am assuming would be someone who will have a large stash of Bitcoin. Most probably an early adopter who might have done this transaction. But, why would someone do it that is the question in my mind.

Edit: I found out that someone purchased those 26BTC from Binance before transferring them to the address. Is this real or a fake news?
691  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: January 05, 2024, 10:10:12 AM
I felt T20 clowns infiltrating the test team to play test cricket. None of the Indian players are known as test players. Almost every player in that team is known from the T20 format known as IPL. A few like Kohli and Rohit are known for ODI and T20. Where are the test playing players? The selectors could have got a few players who have played good in the Ranji trophy. If India did not had Bhumrah and Shiraj in the team they would have lost the second test match too.
692  Local / India / Re: Shadow Ban on Crypto Exchanges on: January 05, 2024, 09:23:06 AM
Does anyone have any updates on this topic? I searched today and found nothing on this topic. I am still able to access the exchanges on my phone without any issues. The problem with this government is that they do not keep its public updated. One fine morning they will wake up and place a ban before the community can come up with an alternative. I am sure many here would have some funds in one of these exchanges as I do for trading. If I am unable to access those funds then my BP will go high. Grin
693  Local / India / Re: Binance or Wazirx on: January 05, 2024, 09:16:36 AM
Hey all !

Which exchange platform did you guys feel smooth?

I feel both are excellent but more handy when it comes to Binance.

It depends on your requirement, for me both exchanges are good as per my user experience. I trade on Binance as there are a lot of pairs and you can participate in various other programs like staking, participating in airdrops, and others. I prefer not to use the P2P service due to the ongoing scams that are happening currently with P2P users. For making purchase in INR or converting crypto to INR wazirX is a good exchange for Indians.
694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the high fee affecting the rate of adoption of Bitcoin? on: January 05, 2024, 09:08:02 AM
I agree with you on the point that the transaction fee is high and it will affect small businesses. That is why the layer 2 solution was implemented and most small business use LN. Recently the only country that made Bitcoin a legal tender announced that it is also adopting LN. Bitcoin was created as a payment processor but the problem is that it cannot compete with big payment processors like Visa. After 2017 ATH its image as a payment processor no longer existed and the sentence store value was used. Since it has a store value a failing economy like Argentina is now using it for legal contracts.

I do not think the high transaction fee is affecting Bitcoin adoption. I agree that the fees are very high for someone who wants to make an onchain transaction of $50. I can only say that the developers need to look into this situation and then make a decision.
695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Continuous Launchpool on Binance on: January 05, 2024, 08:46:29 AM
If you are looking to buy these tokens even before got listed then join airdrops since they mostly have it before even listing or if youll be able to join private sale which is very hard right. So the only way to obtain it without hassle is the launchpool.

I did get a small amount of AI as an airdrop but the problem is that it does not even come up to $1. I was trying to find any resources from Binance that can tell me how much BNB I need to have in my exchange wallet to get a good amount of airdrops from the listed projects. I haven't been able to get a hand to any articles or resources on the internet. Do you have any links? If you can share it with me then I would be grateful.
696  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: January 04, 2024, 12:43:14 PM
I think crash is still one of the favorite games and on bc.game you have more options/features for betting on crash compared to stake also which could be a reason why more people are playing crash on bc.game. As iv4n mentions, the amount of money that some people bet for a game of crash is simply mind blowing, can go up to 10k$ or more.

I have played Crash on Stake in the past and it is quite good as a game if you go through sit tight and follow the process you can sometimes predict the outcome. I have been lucky with it when I played it last time. I was not aware that it is one of the favorite games in BC. I will try it once whenever I get a chance as I generally bet on sports.

Crash is an interesting game where we can get high multipliers there, to be honest, not long ago I also played this game on bc.game with capital of 0.1 SOL from my old wallet, I played the Crash game with the Martingale strategy and I got a profit of up to 1 SOL, but because of my greedy nature by setting the winning multiplier amount, it was drained again because I played too enthusiastically because I thought I was using the money I was ready to lose.

You are correct multipliers are insane but it happens once in a while. It is not that every day you would be able to see big multiples which are like 100x. I am not sure if anyone here has seen a bigger multiplier on Crash. Converting 0.1 SOL to 1 SOL in the current scenario is a big win for you as per my understanding. The current price of SOL is above $100. If my math is correct, and if I assume that you had won in the current situation you made a good profit by playing the game.
697  Economy / Speculation / Re: will the btc price reach 100k ? on: January 04, 2024, 12:25:06 PM

Predicting the exact future price of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin is incredibly challenging due to their volatility and the multitude of factors influencing their value.

When you already know the answer, what factors were responsible for creating such a topic? No one can come out with numbers, what I can say is that Bitcoin will exceed everyone's expectations.

However, Bitcoin has shown significant growth over the years, and some analysts and enthusiasts believe it could potentially reach $100,000 or even higher in the future. Market trends, adoption by institutions, regulatory changes, technological advancements, and overall market sentiment can all play a role in its price movement.

Those analysts have never been able to predict the price of Bitcoin. These so called gurus of trading come right before Bitcoin halving to gain some media space and as soon as their prediction does not relate with the present they leave. If you do follow them then you will come in harm's way.

While it might seem implausible in the near term considering current market conditions, forecasting over a longer period, like 10 years, opens up possibilities for significant changes in the cryptocurrency landscape.

Forecasting! As I have said is not possible with Bitcoin the reason being it is too volatile.

What a game of test cricket we have noticed today, the game got ended in just two days. I felt this was a big mistake by the South African management to create a pitch that is not friendly for batters. I was expecting the match to continue for 5 days, which did not happen. Good comeback by the Indian team they lost quite badly in the first test match, and they won quite convincingly in the second game. Why was Shiraj not given the due amount of overs today? He could have wrapped up the game before tea. Bhumrah got his own 6 wickets and as usual, this guy was consistent. Mukesh Kumar is a good bowler he needs to be selected more for international games by the selectors.
700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Continuous Launchpool on Binance on: January 04, 2024, 10:28:11 AM
It seems that they will weekly launch a pool for new projects and it will be bullish for bnb and at the same time with the projects being listed. Anyone farming here? Hows your income so far?

A few hours back I got a notification from Binance that they would be listing AI today. I had funds in my Binance wallet and was planning to buy some of it as I have been seeing how crazy these new listings pump. Unfortunately, I was not able to buy them immediately, and before I could react it pumped by more than 4000%. Is it even possible to pump so much organically or Binance is using bots to pump those listings from its launchpad initially? Currently apart from AI all other new listings can be seen in red. I also wonder how to buy these tokens before listing I am new to this new time of altcoin and haven't explored this zone.
