Ac Milan had an impressive 4-1 victory against Torino yesterday,  they strengthened their squad depth this season and it's paying off so far being Victorious in their last two matches, one of he players that's been too impressive so far us their new signing Christian Pulisic that's score 2 goals in two matches, he's in great form and has adapted fast in his new team, it's one thing to sign good players and another for the players to be in good form and adapt to their new team, they'll be so happy with the form of Pulisic.
Milan is approaching its old years, its old quality. It was very important to keep Leao and T. Hernández in order not to regress. Pulisic has settled in as if he's been a member of this team for years. The other signings don't seem to have gone wrong either. Tonali was sacrificed for the club, but it seems that Milan used the money well. I thought Pulisic would play number 10 and Chukwueze would play but Pulusic is in dortmund mode. Reijnders is a very underrated transfer that adds a great mobility to the team. Milan spent the money from Tonali well and it's paying off, the best transfer they made is definitely Christian Pulisic for only 20m euros! Hope to see the old days again in Europe.

I think some patience is needed in the case of Pulisic. I agree that he can be a great player for any team and improve the squad when he is in great shape, but this is where the problem is. His level fluctuates too much. He plays one game and as you said he seems to be the most amazing transfer ever for just 20m euros. But then he plays a few games that are much worse. I like him when he plays his best because he is extremely hard to defend against when he is confident in himself and at full speed.

Leao was a key player and I thought that when they can convince him to stay, the next season will be a lot of fun for them. Leao is making a big difference to Milan's game.

Giroud is playing well, too. I think having Pulisic and Leao to his left and right is great because he himself isn't the fastest on the pitch, but the two guys add the speed and he knows all about timing and positioning. The composition of their attack line makes a lot of sense.

Christina Ronaldo is one player who will always make a big positive change in any club he is playing for,  Al-Nassr went for him because they knew of his capacity to turn things around for the club while he spent his contract time with the club.
Saudi is willing to shell out money and Cristiano Ronaldo is the first major signing and now some of the biggest players are moving to Saudi club and it is a huge move by them. The only thing that surprised me is that Messi backed out from the Saudi's even though they were willing to shell out a billion dollars for him and instead Messi moved to the US which i think is a tactical move which could change Football in US and garner more fans.

This looks very simple to guess and where this was heading at. Having the two best players in the world in one league will affect the total concentration of footballs lover in the world to just that side. The European football has already dominated the football world and that can’t be taken away from them easily. Spreading the attention of football lovers to other leagues is a good one as football is now a renowned game all over the world and one league can’t contain all the best players in the world with good pay rate.

Now the football focus is now divided into three, the European Football, the Saudi Arabian Football and the MLS which in my opinion feel it is okay to be so. I’m expecting major signings from the MLS for big players just like it happened in the Saudi League to make all leagues balance and competitive to watch.

This won't be possible because in the MLS there are salary caps, which makes it less competitive regarding salaries. They have been quite creative with the contract that Messi signed whereas in the SPL it doesn't matter. They can spend billions on salaries if they want to and it wouldn't affect them negatively.

But I still doubt that the SPL will soon be a contender for the most attractive football league as signing a few former world class players doesn't just do the job. When five of the very best NBA players would sign contracts with basketball clubs from Saudi Arabia, that wouldn't that the NBA is at risk. To compete with European leagues it takes a lot more than what has happened so far.

The steps that the Saudi clubs have taken are significant already, but most people would still watch Manchester City against some other Premier League team instead of Al-Nassr because Ronaldo and Mane are playing there.

NY Red Bulls Vs Inter Miami

NY Red Bulls faced Inter Miami without Messi, Busquets, J Martinez at their own home ground but Inter Miami was leading 1-0 in the first half. So far, almost 30 minutes of the second half have been played without either team scoring. However, in the statistics of the game, NY Red Bulls play aggressive football but they remain goalless at their own home ground. However, it is not known why Messi and J Martinez were sitting on the bench in the first half today, but Lionel Messi entered the field in the 60th minute. J Martinez and Banquets both came on after 60 minutes and it remains to be seen if Inter Miami can score more goals in the end.

Inter Miami 2-0 New York Red Bull
In this match, Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets made their MLS debuts. Without their presence, they appeared very energetic, confident, and dominant. Even without Messi and Busquets on the field, the team seems positive. And positive thing was Inter Miami leading 1-0 from debutante Diego Gómez. It seems like everyone is contributing now, taking lesson from the best. And then, Lionel Messi strikes again! He scores in the 89th minute to confirm another victory for Miami!

But the run that Inter Miami has since Messi and the Spaniards arrived is impressive. Messi has really sparked some enthusiasm and new ambition within the team and the club. I watched the summary of the highlights and when I saw that Messi was awarded a free kick in the last few minutes I thought that this must be the goal he scored, but thank god he is still human and didn't score the next free kick goal Cheesy

But the goal was brilliantly played by him. The pass he chose to make and how he surprised the whole New York Red Bull defense and then scored a goal that looked easy but was challenging in the set up. Playing that pass under pressure was so smart and good to see that his team mates understand his moves better and better. He enjoys the game so much and I think it was the best choice to go to the MLS for him.

I understand that Joao Felix is basically not wanting to leave and that's understandable, but that doesn't mean that team doesn't have the right to keep him neither, if there are no offers that either the team or the player likes then they will just keep him. He will probably play because why wouldn't he, sitting out a whole season until you are sold is not a reasonable move and he will be getting much worse without playing as well.

So, either they sell him (or loan him out) to Barcelona and he agrees to the move and he gets to play where he wants to, or he will stay and just try to be happy enough to play, doesn't need to like the situation, he just needs to make sure that they are doing as well as they possibly could.

Damn this is one of those players that I will never fully understand. He was hyped so much and everyone thought that he is going to be the next Messi, but he is so bad that no big club would actually want him. I am still puzzled how a player with so much talent and also so much trust from literally everyone can produce bad results like that. There have been players that were too expensive, but Felix is one of the worst regarding price to score ratio. He is not beneficial to any team. It's unbelievable.
685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) 2021 on: August 26, 2023, 09:48:20 PM
I meant that it is not about difficulty of the game, many people talked about how "easy" it was for him to score there, but the point was exactly that, he would be scoring a lot and getting the revenue from people watching that. I think it should be pointed out that this is a long term idea and I feel like he will probably stay in the USA after he retires as well and make a lot of money.

We need to realize that Ronaldo is making a lot of money too, but he is not going to stay at Saudi Arabia and own a team there, that doesn't seem possible, he could go to another nation and buy a club there maybe who knows, or go back to Portugal finally and buy a team there, or maybe not even have a business like that, but Messi can, that's the difference, it is not about getting salary, it is about 10-20 even 40 years down the road.
While the world's most popular players are joining clubs based in Saudi Arabia, Lionel Messi has joined the US-based club MLS. Although Messi was offered by clubs in Saudi Arabia at a much higher price, Lionel Messi joined Inter Miami of the MLS League at a much lower rate. In this case, Messi did not only consider the money, but he took a business guarantee for his next life. Although currently Lionel Messi has signed contracts with several business organizations as well as club sponsors and is guaranteed to continue his own business.
However, although different from Cristiano Ronaldo, Cristiano Ronaldo gave more importance to money towards the end of his career, although money became the main issue at the end of his career. However, he has not yet decided what Cristiano Ronaldo will do after the end of the SPL contract, maybe he will assume some specific responsibility of the SPL and then continue the next career line.

This is what was said officially and most of it is true probably, but how do we know that Messi is earning less playing in the MLS than in the SPL? I can imagine that he has created an amazing contract for himself that was compatible with his ambition to become a multi-billionaire. Thinking that he really signed a contract losing out big time is not realistic. But he is contributing amazingly to the league already and I think a lot of people get attracted to watching the game because of him.

What happened to Seville?
Even before, I thought things would have been much better when Sevilla managed to equalize in the first half. However, they conceded again in the second half. Girona really played better this time. In fact, Sevilla actually played quite an attack, but this was indeed inaccurate. They failed every time they tried to approach the Girona defense area. If they lose again, it's really bad because they lost 3 in a row in this starting game.
The game is entering a crucial time now and it's going to be very bad if Sevilla still can't find the back of the net. I liked how Sevilla increased their attacking intensity in the second half, but it looks like the result will remain the same as their problem is not their attacking intensity, but their poor finishing.
1-2 scoreline is likely to be the end of this game, as Sevilla continue to slump to the bottom of the table, as they are yet to win.
Girona, on the other hand, are doing quite well considering the 3 games they've played in the early part of the season.

I think that the expectations for Sevilla grew too much because they won the Europa League final and now everyone thinks that they should get the job done in La Liga as well, but the situation is that they are still struggling to play on the highest level repeatedly. I am not sure if this is to be compareds because winning a competition like the Europa League and then beating their opponents in La Liga is so different. Their games in La Liga are proof that they are still having issues.

~Snip

don`t be too hard on Xavi, he went the extra mile. He was playing in a group full of big teams and couldn`t do better than he did. Xavi got many things wrong, I agree with you. It must be understood that it was also the first year.
Barcelona was in the group of hell last season where Bayern Munich, Inter Milan are the two teams that really have good preparedness from their squad. Barcelona, which appeared with many young players, was still not good enough to face pressure, they even appeared with an incomplete squad due to several injuries. This season should be different as Barcelona seem ready to take on the Champions League challenge despite their failures last season.

You are saying this retrospectively, but who and what was Inter Milan when nobody predicted that they would end up playing a Champions League final? The group was quite obvious and then Inter Milan shocked everyone when they went further and further in the competition.

This year it will be harder because people adjusted their expectations, but I still think that they are one of the contenders because they know how to play these competitions.

Actually, Tottenham have surely shown that even without Harry Kane, they can perform well. Manchester United surprised me with their performance in the match. I didn't expect them to be poor like that. They did not put in any chemistry that will give people assurance that we can think they will play effectively this season.
Indeed, we could say that, maybe their performance has decreased quite a bit because after all their line of attack, especially their spearhead, is not as strong as Harry Kane. However, based on their first two matches, they looked quite solid and performed well. Especially against Man United, they looked quite impressive. I think Tottenham will have big difficulties against Man United, especially with the purchase of several Man United players who might also have an influence here, however, Tottenham can really handle it very well. even made Man United unable to score a goal at all even though they attacked several times

That's what I thought too when Harry Kane left. When they played against Manchester United I had a feeling that that will be the game that tells us where Tottenham Hotspurs is at and whether they are able to replace Harry Kane good enough to still be taken seriously by teams like Manchester United. And there you go. They haven't just been lucky against Manchester or anything like that. They were absolutely on par with them and played a great game on a top level that was not to be expected after Harry Kane left them. I think they did a much better job than Manchester United who haven't really lost a key player like Kane was for Tottenham. I think ten Haag also thought that the game is going to have a better ending for them than that.
The current manager of Tottenham Hotspur Ange Postecoglou has shown that he's a very skilled and experienced manager who can successfully bring out the best from his Tottenham squad without the presence of Harry Kane at the club.
That being said, I think the effect of losing a big player like Harry Kane who's been the club's seasonal top score for almost a decade will be definitely felt in the nearest future by the club. Harry Kane has been very instrumental to the progress and positive results of the club for a long period of time and would definitely be missed

Ok I wasn't aware that Postecoglou is such an amazing manager. How many titles has he won? I tried to find anything, but couldn't. I think I just trust your knowledge and believe that he is the right man and very skilled.

If you can deliver some substance to back up your post then please share it here.

I think that the best everyone can do is to give him a chance and be neutral for now unless someone really knows more about Postecoglou. I think he is yet to earn some merits and he is doing good so far because once Kane was gone I think most thought that Tottenham would have severe problems with scoring, but they are getting it done.

Barcelona has indeed performed very well in the LA Liga, but Barcelona has often performed poorly in the past few seasons due to financial factors and injuries to several players which have been the cause of their unlucky UCL. Looking at the current composition of players, Barcelona should be able to perform in the UCL better than last season where they were forced down to the Europa League. The presence of ilkay gundogan as a creative midfielder should be able to present a game that fans miss in their heyday like in 2015
If you saw Barcelona last season, of course Barcelona were in their era of financial crisis, but Barcelona was able to win the Laliga trophy with Xavi expertise in managing tactics with Barcelona last season. So this season, Barcelona finances have not recovered from the financial crisis they are experiencing, so they have difficulty bringing in players in this transfer window.

But still, Barcelona is still a pretty strong team in Laliga this season. However, their first start of the season failed to get any points as they drew against Getafe and Barcelona managed to overcome this to win again against Cadiz. I think Barcelona run this season is certainly more impressive than the previous season and hope that Lewandowski can end the problem of scoring goals in the upcoming matches.

But this is a Barcelona that is so different from what any team was used to, Barcelona was this amazing champion that spoiled us. We thought that the level these guys delivered is the standard, but it wasn't.

One thing that we might not see again anytime soon was the balance that Barcelona had a decade ago between all lines in their squad. Usually a team has at least one weakness or a part in the team that the opponent identifies as a weakness, but when they had their prime time team back in the years with Guardiola, that was the time when they set expectations that are realistically almost impossible to be met later on. When Messi also left, it was expectable that they will be facing significant changes. They are now searching for amazing talents at a young age, but I think it is hard. They have had a few golden years with their own boys from La Masia.

I think the result between Leverkusen and Leipzig wasn't a surprising defeat for RB Leipzig, since Leverkusen is a great team and they only performed below their potential last season. This time in a game in their home stadium against RB Leipzig I thought that it is going to be a fierce fight and Leverkusen would have a slight edge due to the home advantage and that is how it turned out. They can play great attacking football and of course their third goal was massive luck, but they brought themselves into the right position and the counter attack was well played, so the final shot was luck but the attack itself was very well prepared.

But it was a results game that could have ended differently as well. Leipzig wasn't a much weaker team, but Leverkusen played a few attacks that RB Leipzig should have defended much better than they did. When an attack looks easy it is either because it was brilliantly played or because it wasn't defended very well and both was true for some of the Leverkusen attacks.
Which made this a surprise because RB Leipzig appeared so perfect against Bayern Munich in the super cup cup, so the defeat they got against Leverkusen was so surprising. Xabi Alonso is able to read RB Leipzig's weaknesses and he really took advantage of a good counterattack and defense against RB Leipzig and they also excel because they are playing at home so they have more motivation to beat RB Leipzig. Losing several key players due to injuries also had a big impact on the defeat faced by RB Leipzig, thus making their attack and defense a little weaker.

Leverkusen are not much better than RB Leipzig, but their motivation is so high when playing and I don't think this can be separated from Xabi Alonso's ability to strategize and he is good at motivating players to play more consistently. This is the first match that is quite convincing for Leverkusen and if they are able to perform consistently then they will most likely become a title challenger this season.

Yes but in all fairness it should be mentioned that this game could have ended in a different way as well. Leipzig was equal in all regards and the goal that Wirtz scored was a very lucky goal that happens once in a hundred times. But still the win wasn't undeserved and I think many people thought that RB Leipzig would play more aggressively than that and give Leverkusen less room than they did. Some of the counter attacks that Leverkusen had were too easy. RB Leipzig didn't have a good organization sometimes and Leverkusen quickly grasped how to use that for their benefit and had some well played out counter attacks. The goal that Wirtz scored was also well played, but the finish was lucky.

Lewandowski is still highly motivated, I have no doubt about that, but what is the chance that he will play another spectacular season? I don't think the chances are very high.
The new season has started and the players may not have played as well as expected. Lewandowski has gone 2 games without scoring a single goal, that's definitely not good for him but I believe he is a striker who never gives up. Lewandowski is about to get his first goal of the season in official competition, it's sure to lift his spirits as well as his confidence.

As for top scorer, I think Lewandowski is one of the strikers who might be on the list this season. Lewandowski played well last season and he has proven what he is capable of, so even if he misses the first two games, he will get it again soon in the next one.

I think writing off Lewandowski so early would be wrong because you are right that he could still overcome his weak period and score again, but it won't be easy to defend his title as the best scorer from last season because he played well, but not excellent. 23 goals per season for a striker who used to be the best player in the world is alright, but not more than that.

But can he find his best form again? I think it will also have to do with the whole team and whether they can play compelling football this season and also put a lot of emphasis on their attacks. They have played quite defensively I think and that is not what Lewandowski likes that much.

But it's true that the defense also wins the games. Keeping a clean sheet very often throughout the season can be very valuable at the end.

PSV didn't win and that was a big disappointment for me. I really expected them to do a lot better and I was disappointed with the result. I get that it's not that easy to get a win at UCL and they may end up getting the win next game and then go to group stages, but I really expected them to play better defensively.

There is nothing wrong with their offense, they scored 2 goals and that's fine, but the fact that Rangers scored two goals as well shows the void in PSV defense and they need to do a better job there. In any case, there is one more game to bet, and I will keep on betting PSV to win as well, can't say if I will be right or wrong but I will certainly hope that they will do their best and get that win.

I too was expecting a win from PSV and I definitely wasn’t expecting them to concede two goals as well. It is clear they had a defense that was wanting and it’s a good thing they still scored a late goal to equalize the score line and finally end the game with a draw. A draw is always welcomed instead of a loss
The game was quite thrilling as it had produced goals from both sides. PSV would have narrowly lost the game despite having played better than their opponents.
Rangers didn’t have much of the ball in their possession as PSV was majorly in control of the ball but they still managed to score two goals. Perhaps, playing at home with the home crowd cheering them on was pretty motivating.

But this was a game that was quite common for the Gasgow Rangers as they can be fierce on the pitch. Everything went as expected since PSV had most of the ball control, did a lot of passing with good accuracy as well, but still the Ranger's defense is difficult to overpower and creating big chances against them is also not that easy. If they then also successfully score goals themselves, the game is anything but a pleasure with the crowd supporting them. But the draw is favoring PSV I think. They will create even more chances in front of their own supporters and it will be hard for the Glasgow Rangers to score again while PSV is almost guaranteed to score. The rangers would need a lot of luck to win this in both legs.

So solidly played by Juventus and I think that that was expected by most. They are putting their focus where it belongs for now and it pays off. I believe that we are going to see an incredibly strong Juventus for this season and they are just getting going.

Probably better compared with last season. Juventus would be placed at the second place last season without being sanctioned. I expect juventus to achieve better this season. Winning Scudetto? It's possible. Juventus is considerably as the strongest team in italian league now.
Juventus is the strongest candidate to win scudetto and i do believe it will be far better this season compared with napoli last season. Udinese was strong enough to last season.

This is too early if you ask me. I also think that Juventus Turin is among the teams who have a good chance to win the Scudetto, but calling them the strongest team after a single game into the season sounds a bit premature to me. There is AC Milan, Inter Milan, Napoli, all of which I think wouldn't be shocking anyone if they would lead the table after some time. They all have decent teams and last season it all seemed a bit weird because Napoli had this massive lead in points, which made the other teams look so much weaker. It is also true of course that they were weaker, but I don't expect one team to get an advantage like that this season. The rest was quite close and this is what I think will happen in the next few weeks and months.
696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: August 21, 2023, 05:11:35 PM
Haaland is far more than an additional striking strength. When Haaland plays the other team has to dedicate defensive capabilities to stop him, which impacts the team as a whole. Having a really strong striker within your line-up is more impactful than just having this striker. An opponent is forced to think about it and come up with a match plan that includes this striker of course.

But the discussion whether De Bruyne is more important or Haaland, I think that also depends. There will be days when Haaland scores that one goal needed for the win and there have been days when De Bruyne scored it, like against Real Madrid in the Champions League. But one thing is for sure and that is De Bruyne's injury is among the worst issues that Manchester City could now have.

I'm not sure if this works with City this way, although for many other teams it would be 100% true. It seems to me that City are more dangerous with ball control + pressing than those who play in their attack. I think that the very idea of personal guardianship of individual players has long been outdated and no one uses it - everyone plays zone control. It doesn't matter if Haaland is in the line-up in separate City games or not, the opponent will play his own game formation.

I agree with most of this, but when you take the game one in the Champions League between Manchester City and Real Madrid as an example, it was obvious that Real Madrid paid specific attention to taking Haaland out of the game and they were highly efficiently doing that. Haaland was dead in the water that game. Though you are right that zone control is the way to go, but there is also some dual effect when it comes to taking out Haaland. You never want him to have too much space to enfold, so that is one way to take care of him. Keep the space small for him. The other way is to take out those players who assist him mostly and that is De Bruyne. By not letting De Bruyne get too much space to shoot precise cross balls, you kill two birds with one stone. I am looking forward to all the Champions League games as I think that this year Manchester City won't be as superior as they were last season. There is no hard evidence yet for that thesis to be backed up, but I feel like Real Madrid will play a lot stronger than last season.

Let us not use previous matches to use in judging the outcome of today's match. We know that Arsenal has a bad record playing Crystal Palace in their home but if they see it as a challenge, then I think that they wouldn't allow such to repeats itself again and Arsenal will strive to win the match.

It is not going to be an easy match for both teams because Crystal Palace understands how to play Arsenal and defeat them when they are at home and this will also motivate Crystal Palace to put in more effort so that they can use this match as an opportunity to gain three points. I still believe that Arsenal has a bigger chance of winning this game.

Arsenal is well equipped to win this game by a decent margin. I think they are in good shape and a few things need refinement so early in the season, but the general system and structure and how they played during the first game wasn't overwhelming, but it was ok. Their mistake in the first game was that they took it too lightly at some point and allowed Nottingham to get back into the game to a point where a draw was even possible. That shouldn't be the case and I believe if they secure the lead in the game against Crystal Palace, they will be paying more attention to keep it solid and not get distracted. The players they have are a great combo with huge potential and I hope that they will as quickly as possible bring all the quality they have onto the pitch. If they can manage to do that, it will again be a season where they can keep up with Manchester City for quite some time I believe.

I wouldn't compare Lewandowski to Haaland anymore. Those times when Lewandowski was the craziest goal machine in Europe are over. He is not a player who is going to break any records in Spain whereas Haaland is set to pulverize whatever records there are left both in the Premier League and in the Champions League.

Benzema wasn't that big of a loss to Real Madrid because he was on a decline anyway as he got more often injured and he also got to feel the consequences of aging. No doubt that he was an amazing offender for many seasons, but last season it became obvious that his best time is over. He could have still been a valuable player for Real Madrid, but I don't think that he would have had the form to get close to what he achieved when he became the world's best player.
In terms of age, these two players are very different. Lewandowski's age is too old, It's time for him to think about old age and doesn't need to try hard to always score lots of goals, while Haaland's age is still very young, making him challenged to always score goals because he still has a high spirit and agility that must be used to make history so that in old age he will have an interesting story about himself, who was once the top scorer legend at a young age.

Lewandowski is still highly motivated, I have no doubt about that, but what is the chance that he will play another spectacular season? I don't think the chances are very high. Though he deserves to be given credit because he declined an insane offer from Saudi Arabia and decided to give this season his best despite the risk that it might not work out and he would not be offered the same amount of money next year. But still, I think it shows that he has great character and I wish him the best not only because he is a great and fair player who never shies away from hard work, but also because he is a player of high integrity and didn't say goodbye to Barcelona when the Saudi Arabia clubs were waiving at him with so much money. He stands by his word and that deserves credit as I said.

After the first round, I liked Bayern and Bayer the most, but it's clear that it's too early to draw any conclusions about which team can compete with Bayern. Dortmund's game was not very confident but they managed to beat Cologne, Leipzig also surprised a little, there was an expectation that after winning the Super Cup they would be able to take points from Bayer.
To see which team is able to compete with Bayern Munich, at least the match has been running for half a season, then we can see the competition between one team and another, so that there is a comparison regarding the strengths of other teams. Dortmund appeared less promising in the first match even though the final result of the game was capable beat FC Cologne and they were in trouble because FC Cologne's players made a pretty solid defense so it was so difficult for Dortmund to penetrate their defense.

In contrast Leipzig surprisingly had to accept defeat against Bayern Leverkusen, even though they were so enthusiastic when they beat Bayern Munich in the Super Cup and many people thought that Leipzig's strength this season would be so great. But in fact these expectations were instead shattered by Bayer Leverkusen who were able to beat them 3-2.

Pavard really wants to move to England and had already agreed terms with Manchester United but they refusal on Maguire to move to another club have made it tough for Manchester united to get another player into the squad, he’s a very versatile player and would be very beneficial to the backline of United but according to the news he might likely move over to Intermilan since an agreement has been reach with Bayern Munich and Manchester United are not showing an serious Interest but just talks of getting him
The thing is that Pavard is a proven player and would make a fine addition to any team he moves to he's solid good with the ball is a very versatile defensive player therefore Intermilan would be very glad to meet up with Bayern Munich’s demand and include such a fine player to their squad and blustering the defense line is one thing all top teams need to do if they want to have a proper challenge this season.

But there were also news that Bayern Munich will only let him go if they can find a player who can properly replace him. But I think that won't be easy at this time during the season. A player who can instantly perform on the highest level and is highly reliable is usually not on the list of players that other clubs would like to get rid off. This would be a costly transfer for them most likely.

But I understand that Bayern Munich is trying to find out what is best for them as well as Pavard's contract expires next Summer and if they can still get a transfer fee for him, then now is the time to sell him. I don't know if they had any failed negotiations about a new contract and higher salary? If there were any negotiations, I seem to have missed them.
