681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem: Lost today $2000 on PrimeDice on: December 27, 2018, 06:07:30 PM
I'm sorry to hear that.
Probably, if I was you, I would have withdrawn my initial deposited amount, which in your case was $300, when I had reached a grand total of $840. Or, if I would become greedy too, since I'm a human like you and it is in our nature that when we have some, we want more, so if I would bet and lose the $840 grand total and had to deposit my remaining balance for the recovery, I would play it a little bit safe, maybe bet all with 90% winning chances which would still generate $120 per winning bet for me since my bidding capital is $1200 and 1.1x of $1200 = $120. Once I would recover what I lost from my own money, beside the profits, I would come back to the normal betting.
Though I know that gambling is pure risk and there are chances of losing even if you bet with 99% winning chances, but sometimes you need to at least lessen the risk and try to recover your loss calmly rather than being in a hurry.
682  Other / Meta / Re: need a moderator: hacked account on: December 27, 2018, 05:49:40 PM
you should check theymos posts in this section. All those users that their bct accounts were being hack need to send an email for they wish to recover it in an old fashion like attending to every concerns and issues with the team he formed. The email also was new so that would be the best email to.send concerns and issues. good luck OP!

Why the hell are you telling him back what he just said himself to other users right before your post? And you didn't even realize it even after quoting the post where he said it?  Huh Huh

Unbelievable!
683  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★ 777Coin Signature Campaign ★☆★ (Member-Hero Accepted) (New) on: December 27, 2018, 05:37:08 PM
They were mainly filled on a first come first served basis. If somebody didn't seem qualified I didn't put them in lower tiers I just didn't accept them at all.

Oh! That means I could have been in a higher tier if I was a little bit quicker to apply, and I was thinking that maybe it is because of the post quality that I got listed in Tier D.
Alright, thank you though.
684  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ⚡💰🔥 MAGNUM WALLET || Signature Campaign 🔥💰⚡ on: December 27, 2018, 05:33:51 PM
Hello notaek.
I would like to inform you that I'm leaving the campaign. It was really nice of you to accept me. You can give my spot to someone else.
Thank You.

Edit: I'm sorry, but I would like to retain my position since I realized I won't be able to make a lot of posts every week and this campaign would suite my posting behavior. I've changed back my signature, avatar and personal text. I'm continuing with this campaign.
Thank You.

Hi Hhampuz. Thank you for accepting me.
I just wanted to know if how the tiers were filled? Was it solely based on post quality or there was something else that was considered as well?
686  Other / Meta / Re: Please un-ban my account on: December 26, 2018, 07:27:23 PM
According to modlog the user got banned within the last week, while the previous post with this account was ~two weeks ago. I think there's no evasion yet.

By bad. I didn't notice the date of his last post from this account. I'm deleting my post since it is invalid (for now).
687  Other / Meta / Re: Please un-ban my account on: December 26, 2018, 11:26:28 AM
Plagiarism is the reason why you got banned.

Proof:

Your post:
In fact, a promising project.
Although there are many similar projects that were scams.
It's good that you guys already have MVP. For me - this is one of the most important factors of participation in ICO.

There is no excuse for this. Your promising not to break the rules won't help you if you have already broken any of them in the past.

Would like to join if there are Full member spots available. Had an eye on the campaign because it has been a long running campaign, but since the manager was not really active lately and members were in trouble because of that, I was hesitant to even apply.

689  Other / Meta / Re: Ban evasion if a user asks for changing his account in a bounty because of ban? on: December 25, 2018, 02:46:41 PM
Is this a ban evasion that the user states that his/her old account has been banned and this is the new?

Yes, it is:
25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]

If you get banned (temporarily or permanently) and create a new account to continue posting / sending PMs, it's considered ban evasion. The only exception is creating a thread in Meta about your ban.

Bounty managers should be sensitized on how to handle situations like these, maybe save the work they have done and communicate further through telegram.

Bounty managers don't give a shit about the forum or the rules it has. All they care about is their own salary they get for hiring nonsensical users for posting crap all around the forum or spamming social networks with the shares or posts of that particular company every single day. If they were to take care of every single thing like this, the forum would have been in a much a better situation today.
690  Other / Meta / Re: My account is banned: okeanos on: December 25, 2018, 02:37:20 PM
Yes, you're right. Messages are very similar because they contain wishes.

There is a very big difference between being similar and being the exact same. In your case, it is clearly a copy paste scenario since even the word caps are the exact same in your post as they are in the other.

This post was sent 13 months ago. (30/11/2017) My account was banned on 12/12/2018. I have 224 posts since 13/07/2017. It is a very heavy punishment for my account to be permanently banned due to a similar 1 post.

Punishment for plagiarism is a permanent ban. So there is nothing heavy here since the punishment you've got is totally correct for the kind of mistake you've committed. And, it has nothing to do about when you've done it. As soon as you are reported or are caught by a mod, you get banned for doing it.
691  Other / Meta / Re: Top 20 members with Post to Merit Ratio. on: December 24, 2018, 05:43:43 PM
Ah it feels like this Merit system stoped me on sr.Member forever as noone want give metis so i dont understand how to get metits for Hero member as already have more than 600 Activity but only 256 meits for this moment so dont imagine how to get more 250 merits its realy impossible for me at this moment.

Apart from the broken grammar and other mistakes, the parts of your post I've marked in bold makes it clear why you have received no metis, oops sorry, merits.  Tongue Grin
First of all, you need to be constructive in order to get merits, after that, if you are posting in English sections, you need to be good in it. Otherwise if you think you are constructive but weak in English, you can stick to your local board which I'm sure has one or more Merit Sources to reward you for your efforts and other members would also do that if they feel so. Complaining about the issue doesn't solve the issue. You need to find a solution to it.

P.S: Sorry for being off-topic.  Lips sealed
692  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system has lead to more quality posts? on: December 23, 2018, 05:27:13 PM
The problem is with shitposters and not with ranks, putting it out as explicitly a rank problem is rather unfair and saving the shitposting high rankees some sticks.

I never said that there are no high rank members with low quality posts in the forum, nor I said that the shitposting is only done by lower ranks, but what I meant to say is that those low ranked members are encouraged to do this since they are getting paid for it. If at least the campaigns don't recruit them (lower rank members) as paid promoters, they won't keep doing it for all their lives and would definitely get tired of posting shit without getting any benefits out of it. The situation right now is that every single user managing to get at least 1 merit is enrolling in a bounty campaign and is posting almost anything to get paid for the week. If these campaigns refrain from accepting them, they would be discouraged at the end and would eventually start to leave one by one if they find no other alternative. Or at least most of them would do.
693  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system has lead to more quality posts? on: December 23, 2018, 12:23:28 PM
Signature campaigns inside the Bounty campaigns are the actual reason behind the reduction of quality posts even after the Merit system implementation and also the later 1-Merit Jr. member implementation. And that is because they are still operating in the old ways where even Jr. members are allowed to join and get paid for posting shit all around, while on the other side, Bitcoin Signature Campaigns are not accepting users below Full member rank maintaining to keep the campaigns spam free.
We won't see any big differences in the posting behaviors of the entire forum as long as this Shitposter's Recruitment Process is underway.
694  Other / Meta / Re: Preventing Signature Spammers and Increasing Quality of Discussion on: December 23, 2018, 11:58:57 AM
When creating thread, another additional option should be available and that should be something like; No Signature

Why? Not every person wearing a paid signature is a spammer, and, people wearing paid signatures are technically paid for posting quality content, though I know bounty campaigns have changed the meaning of that, but technically the purpose of a signature campaign is what I said. And you cannot disable signatures in a discussion where quality content can be posted by users wearing paid signatures. And besides, the spammers are not always users with signatures these days, there are spam bots all around the forum who won't realize a thing no matter what you do.
So it is really not a solution to control spam at all.

signature spammers slowly realize that their effort to spam certain threads is not working, they will put their focus on other threads they can spam and this will create space for quality discussion at certain subs/threads.

So you basically mean that when the spammers realize their efforts are useless in signatureless threads they would find threads with signature showing features and spam them like hell and that would allow quality posts to be on top? Seriously? Don't you think it would encourage them to create many more threads of their own and spam every single section doing this only to fulfill their own needs?

This might be a good punishment mechanism to prevent unnecessary replies made by sig spammers.

This would only be the reason of a new wave of thread spamming all around the forum where the creators of those threads as well as the posters would be professional spammers of this forum.

697  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SexyCam.red - A potentially scam project running a fake signature campaign on: December 21, 2018, 11:18:57 AM
If the project is really legit and they are not planning to scam anyone, then why the hell is there no information about the team on their website?  Huh
698  Economy / Scam Accusations / SexyCam.red - A potentially scam project running a fake signature campaign on: December 20, 2018, 07:36:17 PM
A so called teamless project called SexyCam has recently started a signature campaign in the forum in order to promote their project and earn some money through a public presale that they are planning to launch in January, 2019. The project is so clearly a scam and a person would know it by simply opening their website which clearly shows that the project is totally fake and is just an structure made to scam people out of their money. They didn't even bother to represent a fake team for their project to make their project look at least a bit less suspicious.

The signature campaign they are running has a self-moderated thread, offers very low rates per week, and their signatures are obviously made by themselves because they are totally not good looking. When I posted in their signature thread after seeing their signatures, they deleted my post. Below is what I wrote which they deleted:

And, to fool the members even more, the manager has added a wallet address along with a signed message and a signature claiming that the funds to be paid are held in that address.  Grin
How does it make any sense if the manager himself, who is not trusted by the community, posts a signed message from an address that he himself holds and says, "Don't worry, the funds are available in this address that I hold. So I won't scam you guys."  Grin
699  Other / Meta / Re: Could there be a section for sport on: December 18, 2018, 12:02:51 PM
It's fundamentally a Bitcoin forum, and anything related to this industry is discussed in here. The only thing I know of which somehow connects Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies with any sport is betting, which is basically gambling, and we already have a board for that. I don't see the need of a different board for sports since there aren't a lot of things to be discussed which would bring together sports and cryptocurrencies.
700  Other / Meta / Re: Deleted posts on: December 18, 2018, 11:46:50 AM
There is a proper way of quoting someone's reply and adding your opinion about it. A quoted text should only contain the part of the other person's message that you are specifically addressing while writing your own opinion, otherwise, it is all messed up.

An example of you not properly quoting and messing up:

Just to give you an example. There is a new blockchain project that tries to solve the problem with the scalability.
I said that I think that scalability is the biggest problem of nowadays blockchain and I hope that the project can solve it.

The post was deleted because it was off-topic?
This is just BS.

An off-topic reply can be just one of many reasons for why a moderator deleted your post. It's possible that someone reported your reply as low quality since most of your posts are bounty related. Or maybe someone found your post to be inaccurate because scalability is already being addressed by so many different projects now so it's not that much of a problem today.

I am really angry atm and I think to boycott this crappy forum in the future. This is censorship at it's best.

Either way, i respect what the moderators are trying to do with new rules and trying to reduce spam. I've had posts deleted as well but do you see me getting angry? Anyway, if you want to leave you're more than welcome to do so but just keep in mind this forum is moderated and it's a privilege to be a member. So they can delete any post that doesn't belong here because they want the forum to remain useful for many years to come.

A post can be deleted but you should be warned first, I suggest.

Picture this,
JakElips is a newbie on this forum but has been a blockchain enthusiast for a while and he identifies a problem that needs addressing; now he mightn't know that scalability is already being discussed somewhere else. [the way this forum is designed makes some topics and i don't mean boards uneasy to find]
So he thinks that his project has some potentials and then talks about it on a thread trying to get people to share what they think.
If a mod already knows that it has been discussed somewhere else, why not make it known in a reply or something so that JakElips and a few others that we should assume have never given scalability a thought can have a chance to explore. It could be possible that JakElips could take a cue or two from there to improve on his own project.
It shouldn't just get deleted without warning; think of the number of users that could have either learnt something or contribute their own knowledge to the post that got deleted.  Not everyone has intentions to scam!

Now, I don't blame a mod to delete a message like that even if it is not absolutely off-topic, because it is definitely disturbing, and very much unclear and non-understandable. To avoid getting your posts containing quotes deleted, you need to learn to quote properly.

An example of proper quoting:

In any case, the problem of off-topic replies is really more a reflection on the forum's lack of threading than any fault of the users.

I agree, but since the forum doesn't yet support threading, it's necessary to enforce on-topicness to keep the forum usable.

Substantial off-topic replies are usually split.

Just read and learn. And possibly you won't need to complain after some time, if you are a learner.
