681  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase - Worst support ever! on: November 19, 2019, 06:23:21 PM
I have seen a similar case before but it is ethereum. A friend thought he had copied the correct wallet address he wants to send his token to not knowing it's the token smart contract that's on his clipboard, the team never send him back his token.
The one at fault here is actually the trading and investment platform, they should have asked him which wallet did he want the funds to be sent back to. Coin base won't do anything about it and would consider it as a donation.
682  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [INFO] Using Binance Verify / [ALERT] For Fake Binance Labs Email on: November 19, 2019, 05:11:37 AM
I think it is very easy to avoid phishing sites of Binance: Remembering its domain name
Code:
https://www.binance.com
Does it really difficult to remember? I don't think so. I know it is difficult to remember dozens of exchanges and dozens of other platforms  and services people use for their interests. But for the top exchanges such as Binance I think they should (or must) remember its domain name.

Bookmarking usually used sites' domain names is good but I still believe for some most common used platforms (like Binance) people must remember its domain name.

Hackers can hack by phishing sites or tamper bookmarks but they can not hack your memory.

I'm sure you don't understand why binance created Binance Verify. If you spend a lot of time on telegram, you would know. This scammer/hacker does not only target victim by faking a domain, they also target ICO/IEO project and sometimes, it's difficult to know official email address of these exchanges.
This is really a great step to reduce these types of scams from Binance.
683  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] How To Stay Safe From Scam Advertising When Use Search Engine on: November 18, 2019, 03:01:00 PM
It's better to bookmark the official site after the search. And another thing is that there is no way to know what the original domain is if it's your first time searching or visiting the website. It's better you check the domain of all the search results in other to know if there's a fake one.
And lastly, as you have said. Always do thorough research if you know what you want to on the domain involves submitting your info or making payments.
684  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BITCOIN GAME APP on: November 18, 2019, 11:32:04 AM
No uniqueness in your concept and wanting to gain access to users personal wallet balance isn't right. All the concepts that I know that are similar to yours always enable the deposit option on their website/faucet.
685  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] 💥Boublr.com | Signature Campaign | Member+ 💥 on: November 17, 2019, 03:09:30 PM
For OP to have created such created a thread with such nice template and good rules just like other managers, he must have been on this forum for a while now. He just can't use his main account because he knows majority of us on this forum are against ponzi shills. Good thing that there's no participants so far.
Edit: and to those trying to defend OP/planning on defending OP, Kindly show a Ponzi campaign that has been managed by top managers on this forum. It's not the matter of getting red trust for not getting top managers to manage the campaign, the campaign itself is trying to lure users into scam.
686  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum password problem after importing bip38 wallet on: November 17, 2019, 02:19:05 PM
Setting the password was only meant for verify transaction for the wallet that's imported on it and it's does not store on your seed or phrase. You can actually import the same seed/phrase on other wallets like Mycelium and your balance will load up.
687  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for members – get paid to your BTC and LTC wallets on: November 17, 2019, 09:23:49 AM
Let me see if I understand this correctly.

You have a booking.com coupon with some discount
If I use your coupon I will get the discount and you will deposit $0.40 BTC to my wallet? I need to buy something at booking first.

Correct?

That's not correct. The idea of OP is to pay you for hunting coupon codes. It's actually a great idea but not a great deal IMO, 0.4$ is pretty small as we all know coupon codes are hard to get.
I'm not sure how OP will be able to verify valid/invalid coupon submissions.
688  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [INFO] Cara Mendapatkan Token BAT dari Browser Brave on: November 17, 2019, 05:53:27 AM

690  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Building a radically easier crypto management solution. What do you think? on: November 16, 2019, 06:01:31 AM
The animated video on the homepage is shows how great the app is. But I'm concerned about the exchange api is being used to executed the orders or is everything done by the app.
And also, I signed up for the early access and I took me to a referral early access list, is it first come, first serve?

I made a Topic similar to yours a few time ago
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3210982.0

Your topic is very complete, I would just add browser recommendations (Firefox all the way imo) and its add-ons.

Take a look at mine, you will like it Wink

I made another one specially for Firefox

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5156114.0;all

You also made a well detailed thread and I love it, and I merited it also Would have dropped a comment but it would be tagged for necroposting.
Let's not go off-topic here.
692  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Tips and Information] Privacy and How to Stay Anonymous Online on: November 14, 2019, 08:18:28 PM
For anyone there is no need to stay anonymous all the time, when we are doing some daily routine things then google or bing will be the better solution since it has better speed than anonymous search engines and also the speed will decrease a lot when we connect into proxies.

The speed decreases depending on the type of network carrier you use for browsing. And that's not even a problem because it's just like a little price you pay for your privacy.

Quote
Remember the risks of connecting to proxy address when sign into exchange or gambling sites, you account is in risk of getting frozen for the multiple login from the same IP address which violates their terms and conditions.
Nord VPN offers dedicated IP to its premium users at a cheap price, I don't think that's a problem.
693  Other / Beginners & Help / [Tips and Information] Privacy and How to Stay Anonymous Online on: November 14, 2019, 02:58:08 PM
We all know the importance of privacy, especially now in the digital world people share more information in their social media accounts every each of us can access and gather some information about someone or something,  in just a click of your mouse even though you don't know a thing about hacking, what most if the person that has knowledge in hacking gathers your information. Do you still consider yourself browsing anonymously on the web because maybe there's a person tracking every move you make and has every information you have?

Here are some Apps or Tools that can help you to stay anonymous.

IP Address

-According to Wikipedia "IP Address is an Internet Protocol address is a numerical label assigned to each device connected to a computer network that uses the Internet Protocol for communication. An IP address serves two main functions: host or network interface identification and location addressing."
-Some of us don't know the importance of IP Address but you should be aware of it, Your IP Address gives the website that you visit and people that you have connected with online, It gives them the ability to trace that IP address back towards you if they wanted to. or to be exact they will know your location on the map.

VPN
-According to howtogeek "A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, allows you to create a secure connection to another network over the Internet. VPNs can be used to access region-restricted websites, shield your browsing activity from prying eyes on public Wi-Fi, and more."
-According to howtogeek "a VPN connects your PC, smartphone, or tablet to another computer (called a server) somewhere on the internet, and allows you to browse the internet using that computer’s internet connection. So if that server is in a different country, it will appear as if you are coming from that country, and you can potentially access things that you couldn’t normally."

Here are some Apps and Tips that I gather that will help you to keep your privacy secured.

TIPS

1.Browse in private or in Incognito Mode
-Incognito mode is not only for NSFW stuff and not only to hide your history but it also helps in preventing websites save cookies and disable the extensions that might steal your information.

2. Avoid Search Engines Like (Google, Yahoo and Bing)
Google, Bing, and Yahoo might be the three most popular search engines, but these search engines also collect the most data about you in order to serve relevant ads and personalize services. Especially when logged in with your account, these search engines can collect your name, email address, birthday, gender, and phone number and other personal informations . Asides from that, Google and Bing can also collect important data such as device location, device information, IP address, and cookie data, That can violate your privacy.

3. Use anonymous email and communication
-You can use other emails or dummy emails. You can use these emails if you don't want others to know that is you, don't use emails that may contain your real name, by these simple tips you can stay slightly anonymous online.
-And also avoid clicking on emails that you don't recognize or mostly spams, these spam emails might contain phishing sites that can gather your information such as name, birthday, credit card information, and other personal information.

4. Hide your IP address using Proxies and VPNs
  • TOR BROWSER(https://www.torproject.org/download)

    - "Tor is a network of virtual tunnels that allows people and groups to improve their privacy and security on the Internet. It also enables software developers to create new communication tools with built-in privacy features. Tor provides the foundation for a range of applications that allow organizations and individuals to share information over public networks without compromising their privacy."
-According to J.M. Porup "The Tor Browser is a web browser that anonymizes your web traffic using the Tor network, making it easy to protect your identity online."
  • DuckDuckGo(https://duckduckgo.com/)

-According to Wikipedia "DuckDuckGo is an internet search engine that emphasizes protecting searchers' privacy and avoiding the filter bubble of personalized search results. DuckDuckGo distinguishes itself from other search engines by not profiling its users and by showing all users the same search results for a given search term."
-This is an awesome alternative for Google, Bing and Yahoo and it doesn't collect your data, provides privacy and gives safe searching.
  • TunnelBear(https://www.tunnelbear.com/)

-According to TunnelBear "TunnelBear is the world's easiest to use VPN (virtual private network) for both consumers and teams. ... TunnelBear can be used to protect you and your privacy, hide your real IP address, bypass internet censorship, and to experience the internet as people in other countries experience it."
-The configuration of tunnelbear is idiot proof and it's very simple, and it can be used on any browser. It's probably the most accessible VPN tool there is and even paid or free version it's very accessible and has many features.
  • Freenet(https://freenetproject.org/index.html)

-According to Wikipedia "Freenet is a peer-to-peer platform for censorship-resistant communication. It uses a decentralized distributed data store to keep and deliver information and has a suite of free software for publishing and communicating on the Web without fear of censorship."
  • I2P(https://geti2p.net/en/)

-According to Wikipedia "The Invisible Internet Project is an anonymous network layer that allows for censorship-resistant, peer to peer communication. Anonymous connections are achieved by encrypting the user's traffic, and sending it through a volunteer-run network of roughly 55,000 computers distributed around the world."

694  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Spending-bitcoin.com - The biggest directory of webshops accepting Bitcoin! on: November 14, 2019, 10:35:25 AM
I have accessed your website, and I am interested in one of the items sold at the store, however:

1. If I want to make a purchase at one of the stores on your website, will there be a guarantee if the items we receive are in accordance with the request?

2. In this case you as the parent of these online stores will you provide a guarantee for the success of transactions that occur between stores and consumers, don't consumers need to get full trust about it from website?

1&2 are same questions and I will answer them for you.
You see, https://spending-bitcoin.com/ is just like an explorer or search engine for online stores that accepts bitcoin as payment method. All you have to do is search for the category of the product you want and explore the bitcoin stores listed under it.

I think adding ratings & reviews to each store should be OK.
695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Wrong wallet address recovered with backup mnemonic on: November 14, 2019, 06:28:46 AM
Must have been that you copied the recovery for a different wallet, (maybe nested segwit 3*, or native segwit bc1, or legacy 1*). You will only see balance for the wallet seed you import.
Try import the seed on Mycelium wallet, it should display balance of all three addresses.
696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Me and my team are "stuck" with orders when trading a lot? Please help on: November 14, 2019, 05:51:11 AM
According to the transaction you received on the 11th, low fee was used (4.665 sat/B). I think the company must have sent you a wrong transaction hash in the first place. This is the only transaction hash with 1000$ input https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/d6baa0c1bdd83f5b5224845b930e5e6fda5d0fcfcc4c9428636db48209ef8234
If you find yourself in a stuck situation like this when you send out a transaction to someone, you can try the CPFP (Child Pay For Parent) method.
697  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Busting A Shady Telegram Channel on: November 13, 2019, 01:00:10 PM

Many of these newbies do not read warnings like the OP also.

It really amazes me how you decided to jump into conclusion that I do not read warnings or you're just trying to complete your daily task probably because you don't read the whole thread or you read fast.
I made an awareness post immediately I discovered the shady things going on in the telegram channel and all you could do is to label me that I don't read warnings.
I guess I have to lock this thread.

Quote
It might come as a surprise to you but there are still people who are falling to fake telegram admins.
And am I wrong for posting this or have you helped by posting something similar to this?
698  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Contact center to cater for crypto related projects on: November 13, 2019, 06:04:45 AM

1. Lifespan of crypto related projects. If we do manage to sign some sort of contract with a business in the crypto sphere, how can we, from the outside, judge the health and longevity of the project?
I don't think there's a way you could check for that. The service you are offering should have a disclaimer on that.
Quote
2. I have absolutely no idea of how to contact companies that we could work for.

You can start by posting a thread in the service section. Post in details the service you offer and also create vacancies for your country residents.
699  Economy / Goods / Re: Org Shirt... Asking for Suggestions... on: November 12, 2019, 05:21:48 PM
All the designs are pretty good to me except for the one with Android robot logo which others already complained about.
Maybe add something like QR Code for the user's bitcoin address maybe. Since its crypto, there's probably someone who will scan it and sent you a tip for a cup of coffee. Just my personal opinion.

Adding QR Code is a great idea. But some part of the QR Code will start to fade off sooner or later after several washes depending on the quality of the ink used.
700  Other / Meta / Re: 10th anniversary art contest on: November 12, 2019, 03:55:21 PM
Seen this post from the main thread of the art contest and it's a great find by @Veleor. I guess this is plagiarism in a sense because of the idea being copied though it isn't the same drawing he just put some side dishes to look like it is his own. Is he worthy of this post made by theymos?

- If people are stealing artwork (ie. not just using stock images, but true plagiarism), leave them negative trust.

That's plagiarism right there. This shows what some users do just to get things. The drawing is not worthy of being merited though. And for violating the contest rules, he deserves to be punished.
I'm archiving his submission just incase.
