I've never been much of a day trader, I'm just a holder.

I'm re-watching my favorite T.V. show The Office ( Us Version)

Eating some coconut and bananas right now Smiley, I've never been much of a tea drinker, only way I like iced tea is if its loaded with sugar.  IF i had to choose between water and no sugar tea I would choose water.

703  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Monthly minimum wage: ~$82 is that too much to ask? on: February 04, 2019, 04:02:02 PM
This is why so many people from Nigeria scam on the internet. They have very few options.  Poverty makes crime skyrocket as people get more desperate everyday.  It won't be long until most countries have a universal basic income.
704  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How "Escalator" and "Elevator" be compared in an example about Bitcoin? on: February 04, 2019, 03:56:08 PM
In England "elevators" are blocks that you put in shoes to make small people look taller. There is nothing small about Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is still small when compared to gold and USD in circulation.  BTC only has a 60billion marketcap which is nothing when compared to global finance. Jeff Bezos has a higher net worth than the total marketcap of bitcoin and he is only one person.
705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: February 04, 2019, 03:49:46 PM
I think what he is trying to say that PG did have a lot of great games but looking at players like Harden right now or back in the day Lebron, Jordan, Kobe and all that, they had these type of games all the time.

PG can give you a game where is like Kobe, he can continue doing that couple games in a row, but he has also a lot of games where he is nowhere that level. He is definitely an all star caliber player but he plays between all-star level and superstar level all the time, one day this and another day that. However, players like Jordan and Kobe and so forth played the superstar level every single game, not just "most" of the games but almost all the games. PG is not a 30+ ppg guy consistently, he is more like 20+ consistently and sometimes 30+ which I think was the point.

Kobe is one of the most overrated players of all time.  He was a ball hog that shot a low percentage.  He won the first 3 titles because of shaq and won the last 2 because of Pau Gasol.  Kobe doesn't come anywhere close to Jordan and James.
706  Economy / Economics / Re: Can a new crypto exchange take a place in the market? on: February 04, 2019, 03:45:47 PM
Unless your friend has a huge advertising budget he will be wasting his time.  There is a ton of competition for exchanges to bring in customers.  He will have to go against all the established giants and it will be an uphill battle to say the least.
707  Economy / Economics / Re: QuadrigaCX Owes Customers $190 Million, Court Filing Shows on: February 04, 2019, 03:39:35 PM
There is no week in the crypto world you won't read something that will make you shout "You can't make this*** up"

So, the guy that owned quadriga held all control over the coins there?
He dies and 25 000 BTC and some shitcoins are locked forever?

I imagine his relatives trashing his house searching for the keys ...

But...there is more...
He died of Crohn's disease while in India...
Hollywood, do you read this???

Probably a fake death or someone else has the coins.  There is no way those coins are just lost.

Another scammy inside job, at this point I wouldn't even be surprised if Binance or Coinbase tries to exit scam with billions of dollars.
708  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Few Trusted Escrow Provider on: February 04, 2019, 03:36:07 PM
Just a warning:  Even if someone looks to be trusted and have a long history of good behavior doesn't mean they won't turn out to scam if the price is right.  I have been a part of other forums/marketplaces before and saw my fair share of reputable members scamming after years of good service.  Just something to be aware of, most people have their price that they will scam for.
709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Space mining-myth or reality? on: February 04, 2019, 03:16:33 PM
This is just idiotic, to even establish some type of mining facility in space would cost millions upon millions of dollars just to set this up.  You lack an understanding of how crypto mining works and this looks to be some type of troll post.
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still continue? on: February 04, 2019, 03:13:31 PM
What will you do if after losing several times in gambling, you are left with only small amount of money and that money will be for your fuel or for transportation, will you still continue with the little you are left with? What if you lose?

If you are a gambling addict for sure you won’t bother of having fuel because you can sell even your car just to have a capital to bet.
But for me?Maybe not since this will never happen to me,everytime i go out i make sure that my car has enough fuel to return back home lol

Many addicts always say "one more bet" until they end up completely broke.  Sometimes you just need to know when to walk away and handles your losses.
711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understand addiction! on: February 04, 2019, 03:08:22 PM
Maybe we need to go to psychiatric and ask him/her to hypnotize us and keep saying to the subconscious to not playing gambling, and we want to quit from gambling. I think it will work well because it's like a reset button on the computer and we have a large supercomputer in the living conscious, subconscious and unconscious. And by doing that, I think we can solve the addiction to gambling, and we can stop playing gambling forever.

I'm just not a believer in hypnotizing people, I think it is just snake oil.  IF it was that easy to quit addictions there wouldn't be anyone addicted to drugs or video games.  Placebo is very strong though and if the participant believes it work then it may actually help.
712  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Is amusement causing the downfall of society ? on: February 03, 2019, 04:33:04 PM
^ Most people today are working more on average than humans did in hunter gatherer times.  A lot of industries are losing popularity as well.  Less people are eating out, watching sports, and buying new cars.  It doesn't take a genius to realize that nearly all gains made from productivity gains have gone straight to the ownership class.  Younger generations can't even afford homes anymore, far from a stable society.

Less war, less violence, longer lifespans, greater economic opportunity... Society is exceptionally stable, perhaps now more than ever. I truly though society was going to melt down around 2010... So far it hasn't happened. Trust me, I'm up for a revolution as much as anybody else, I just don't think its going to happen so long as people are content with their televisions and mobile devices.

Rising suicide rates, higher drug use, less economic opportunity.  People are actually becoming less healthy as well.  Automation has taken a lot of jobs and globalization has caused a race to the bottom.

One person could support a family in America in the 1960s-1980s with a simple job.  That just isn't the case anymore.  I have family members that were making the equivalent of $30/hour out of high school with no degree back then.  That is basically impossible today.
713  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Group Pleads For Bitcoin Donation on: February 03, 2019, 04:11:33 PM
is it legit for a terror group to fund with BTC
It does seem legit, but I suppose it could just be scammers pretending to be Hamas, like those phoney dark-web hitmen-for-hire a few years back. You can't trust anyone these days. Undecided

Yes , my friends think so too , anyway hope no one will donate  Roll Eyes

You'd be surprised how stupid people are what they will donate money to.  Gofundme has a lot of ridiculous campaigns that raise millions of dollars for useless causes or they are just completely fake.

This is a scam, founders tax just like that other bullshit scam grimble.  Stay away everyone, they are just trying to profit off the hard work of Grin.  CON ARTISTS
715  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Who currently has more subs? on: February 03, 2019, 03:57:18 PM
If these trading bots were guaranteed money making machine then there would be no need to sell it.  The creators would just use it themselves and make large gains.  They know it doesn't work half the time and it is essentially useless in a unpredictable market.
716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IS BITCOIN ATM PROFITABLE BUSINESS ? on: February 03, 2019, 03:49:14 PM
Yes, this is a profitable business, but be prepared that at first there may be few customers, since many will not want to shine, they know about the bottom in general. There are many reasons for this. But in general, the idea is very good, and it needs to be deliberately implemented.

It is highly dependent on the location you are placing your ATMs.  Then you have to pay the mall or store that owns the land a fee.  You would probably make much more just straight up buying bitcoin yourself and waiting for the next all time high.

718  Other / Off-topic / Re: Protecting your email is of great importance on: February 03, 2019, 03:41:16 PM
If anyone is serious about their privacy I would avoid using any of the big guys: Google, Yahoo, Hotmail.

They store all your received and sent messages even if you delete them.  Also never enter your e-mail on haveIbeenpwned website because they are seeking out active emails that people actually care about.
719  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Being a good trader must be able to maintain emotions on: February 03, 2019, 03:36:50 PM
This is why people are using bots and algorithms to do automated trading.  Most humans lack the patience and emotional detachment that is necessary to make consistent profits.
720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The longer you play poker the better you become ? on: February 03, 2019, 03:32:10 PM
Poker is definitely a game of skill, even though some luck is a factor.  It is no coincidence that we see the same players finishing near the top in the world series of poker every year.  Some people just lack the mental ability and deception in order to be a successful poker player.
