BTC-MINING has been imported.

As before, please check your spam folder before requesting support.  If you were expecting an email and it's definitely not in your spam folder, please PM us and we will double check the list and resend the introductory email if necessary.

Thank you for using BTC-TC!

Cool! Just one suggestion: Use the placeholder tags instead of JS wizardry for the username / passwords. If I enter a username, accidentally click on it again the content is lost Sad
7062  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Should Giga be tagged as a scammer? on: January 11, 2013, 02:42:09 AM
If he's saying he can't honour the original agreement for legal reasons then it would be reasonable to allow him to cancel the deal - refunding amounts paid less dividends paid to date.

Not only would it be reasonable, but it is obligatory to allow customers to cancel the deal and refund amounts paid less dividends to date. Anything else is scamming.

But we all know this is not gonna happen and this will be dragged on for the next couple of months.
Until the mods grow a spine and tag him.

For more info, go to satoshiDICE and click on the Verification tab (or type in "javascript:$('.verificationbox').slideToggle();" in the address bar on Chrome), see BitZino's https://bitzino.com/about/fair, http://btcmultiplier.com/keys.php?l=en
7064  Economy / Gambling / Re: BTCKeno.com on: January 11, 2013, 02:32:42 AM
Do it like BTCMultiplier. If you select the number 1 and 2, there's one address and just one address. Winnings are sent back to the address it came from. Have a daily secret, publish a hash of them in advance, and then hash secret + txid. Get the first few bytes, use that to determine what numbers satoshi picked.

The issue is I don't want to send it back to the address that sent the bet. I'd like the user to put in the address that they want the payout sent to. As of right now here's more or less the flow.

User comes to site, submits numbers and an address to send payout.
Bet is received and the satoshi picks are selected and then counts what it matched
Once bet has been confirmed, payout is sent to the payout address

If anyone has suggestions or can point me to more resources, I'd be more than happy to set something up. BTW I like how BTCMultiplier has a list of bets on their front page. I want to add something similar. I'll have more time Friday evening to push updates.

Thanks
OK, to make it provably fair then:

$serverSecret = hash("sha256", rand());
$serverSecretHash = hash($serverSecret);
//store serverSecret somewhere
echo $serverSecretHash;

function process_keno($tx){
$result = hash("sha256", $serverSecret . $tx['txid']);
$dec = hexdec($result);
mt_srand($dec);
$generated = [];
for($i = 0; $i < 20; $i++){
$num = mt_rand(1,80);
$generated[] = $num;
}
return $num;
}

Anyone (with a copy of PHP) will be able to verify that you are generating the correct results, but they will not be able to predict the results ahead of time.

7066  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Looking for 10 investors to lend 120 BTC each and receive 50% ROI in 6-12 months on: January 11, 2013, 02:06:39 AM
I'll lend to you if you get 8 others, AND does the following:

1) photo id or drivers license or passport. with address.
2) facebook/twitter/social networking accounts
3) goes into more detail about what industry you want to get into, why, etc.

Feel free to PM me.

Ok. I can provide a scan of my passport. That would include my picture and address and it is valid until 2016 I believe. I do not use facebook/twitter or any social network as I am not a social networking type. As for #3 it's the only thing I see available to me. Something I can easily get into and afford to do. Why? because what else am I going to do if I only have one option in life? My only other option is to sit and stare at a wall all day, which is what the government and these banks would have me do. It must be some sick sinister collaborated effort to drive people crazy, that is why I am reaching out to Bitcoiners. You have PM!

Potential investors, now that Bitcoin has gone up (last price I'm seeing is $14.06) that means I'll only need 1050. So that would be 105 now, not 120 per investor, and if it goes up it will be even lower. I am updating the original post now. Please read the notice posted on the top in red.
So, what industry is it? Prostitution?
7067  Economy / Gambling / Re: BTCKeno.com on: January 11, 2013, 02:04:32 AM
The update I'd like to see is any evidence you can actually pay out the bets on this paytable, as you've already admitted you can't and would be scrambling if anyone hit one of them.  When you're willing to take bets for these amounts that you don't have on hand, that's scammy to say the least.

How do you want me to prove this? The reason that the previous customer did not get paid in a timely fashion is because I made a choice not to keep a large amount on the server for security concerns. I could have made up some excuse, but instead I was honest and got that customer their money as fast as I could. Which was just sending more BTC to the server. If you want me to make an excuse I can, but I feel honesty is the best.

The bet in question is (which you are talking about) is http://btckeno.com/d79fd7a0c960705e958686764c30b789477d8a09ea677be63aa966aba3cc9a5e39f3f591e2890a016e88bd67b7b9d0fe28812e394eee314eb1aec75def099e1a and there is the bet txid and the payout txid on that page which you can find info https://blockchain.info/tx-index/42540538/87dbbb666e2e9899506efa283148dd73f1c66b2a74eb6cd809a38aa945f81fcf and https://blockchain.info/tx-index/42546202/372582f6929c4be3cd08013ad4ba1fe16be2d1ed8854bbfa4a423402885d0f40 with a time of ~25 minutes from bet to payout. I think that is more than plenty of time, if that's not acceptable, let me know and I will come up with a faster way to get payouts to customers.

I do realize that the community has been screwed in the past, and that this "new gambling site" has to prove that it's honest and that's one of the reasons I've published my github and personal web site urls. I know that means shit to most people, but in my opinion I think it shows I'm at least a little creditable. If you try hard enough, it's not hard to find out who am and where I am at. So what evidence do you purpose I show to everyone? I want this site to be a success, so let me know what you need.

FYI the bet I placed earlier is still at 5 confirms for some reason, and I can't see what number satoshi picked.

Is this game provably fair?

I strongly encourage those with orders at BFL to donate to the curse removal before it's too late.
Not if you bet against BFL releasing Smiley

Thanks for applying the curse!

I never said it would apply equally to everyone. However, if you are satisfied with the service for any reason you should donate.
Have you got my PM?

7071  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Video Poker! 0.005 BTC credits are here! [UPDATED 1/6/2013] on: January 11, 2013, 12:10:24 AM
I see there is a progressive for the RF now for 5 coin bets. At 4888 payout for the RF the game becomes 100% payout.

Only if you modify your playing strategy optimally, taking the size of the jackpot into account.

If you only know how to play optimally for a 4000 jackpot and always play that way then the pot has to reach 4921 before the game is expected to pay out 100%.

And if you're using the auto mode then it probably has to be even higher than that, since auto mode doesn't even play optimally when the pot is 4000.

1)  I'll get my hard core video poker associates to take a look at this and tell me:
1a)  when it's +EV to play for the progressive jackpot

and

1b) if auto-play is making the right holds and which ones, if any, are wrong.  I'm pretty sure I can find some differences between the holds I saw it make and wizard of odds strategy for 9/6 jacks or better.

will run some trials in a moment and try to find an example
It does not use the optimal strategy, it uses the basic one.
7072  Economy / Gambling / Re: Satoshi Dice and the future. on: January 11, 2013, 12:09:17 AM
If bitcoins goes to $1000/BTC, then why are you caring about satoshiDICE turning less profits when BTC is worth $1000 each?  Huh

7074  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] BITINVEST - Transparent low risk investment bond on: January 10, 2013, 11:52:24 PM
0%? It can go well under that.
Exactly, which is why this bond is putting it in Bitfinex which gives more stable returns.
7075  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tonight, I will die on: January 10, 2013, 10:06:54 PM
I'm not committing suicide.  A few people have been circling my friends house all day yesterday.  I laid outside for 6-8 hours and they didn't get a chance to strike.  I requested a last supper with my family, a last night of living on this plane of existence.

Who is after you exactly?
7076  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Video Poker! 0.005 BTC credits are here! [UPDATED 1/6/2013] on: January 10, 2013, 11:55:47 AM
I have heard that some Vegas casinos offer video poker payouts even higher than 100% in assumption that most players will not use optimal strategy. This is true for humans, but I don't think for the bots also Wink

They also probably assume that after hours of staring glassy-eyed at the screen and your fourth free martini, you'll hit the wrong buttons once or twice in that span of time.

Still with progressive jackpots you can get >100%EV
7077  Economy / Gambling / Re: Satoshi Dice.... on: January 10, 2013, 11:51:05 AM
Get crackin' and make your own satoshi dice variable or some other gambling game Cheesy

If only it were that simple.  Making the game is only the first step  Wink
I would say it is almost impossible! At this moment SatoshiDICE holds almost full monopoly over Bitcoin gambling, so you must create something revolutionary to start competing against it!
It has an monopoly over dice games, not gambling as a whole.
