721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: July 23, 2023, 06:21:49 PM
What religion?
What societies?
I don't know where you are from but in some parts of the world, women who gamble are seen as sinners and men, there, can' accept that a woman has the right to gamble and there is nothing wrong about it. I'm not talking about developing countries because in some developed countries men also think the same way. They can't accept the fact that a woman can afford to gamble and assume her responsibility when she loses.
A religion that considers gambling a sin does it for both men and women, take Islam as an example. In Islam, a man or a woman who gambles is a sinner, and there is nothing one needs to do in that case, it is just them who needs to stop doing it and repent their actions and ask for forgiveness from their creator. And, I believe any religion that has the same rule would have it for both men and women and not specifically for women.

If we talk about the general world where people don't really care about a religion or where their religion allows gambling for both men and women, women tend to gamble but not as much as men because it's not in their nature to waste money on such things, they don't get too greedy too easily.
722  Economy / Speculation / Re: Be patient and you will be there soon. on: July 23, 2023, 05:14:30 PM
as a btc investor, of course you have to have the patience to wait until the btc price is high and sell it when the btc price is high.

if I personally would not sell btc at that price
$ 40k because in my opinion the price of $ 40k btc can still be called cheap, and I plan to sell btc above $ 60k in order to get a big profit.
Totally depends on everyone's personal goals, if you have bought at $16k or around that, you might even sell it for $35k and then buy again when it drops below, but I wouldn't recommend that because I don't think that the price will go around $16k anytime soon again, but still if someone buys at a certain point and keeps another point in mind for selling them, they wouldn't think of higher selling target because that might provide them with more profit but that will make them lose vision of their target.

Some people want to sell at the highest level Bitcoin can get, these are the people who have a lot of patience and they don't panic even if Bitcoin starts crashing again after reaching $50k or going above it because they know that they won't sell before the price reaches the very top and that is what they do.
723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 1 billion from Paramount movies on: July 23, 2023, 06:04:59 AM
I cannot relate the hollywon context of you post here though crypto is doing good lately as the market is on a good trend right now despite the bear seasons we have, bitcoin still managed to hang tight on $30k. Pump is not here yet, we are still in accumulation mode and true pump action will be 2024 - 2025 wherein it's the time for halving events which triggers a good uptrend in the market.
Me either as for the Hollywood thing. Not sure if he is talking about the Hollywood film creators or to the customers of those movies. I even think earlier that Paramount movies are going to create their own token or they are investing that amount in crypto.

Now when it comes to cryptos, I think only a few of them are performing well lately but BTC may not be among with them because once again, BTC values fell under $30k but if it's about the last time, yes because BTC finally cross the most anticipated $31k. For those who have those top-performing coins of the week, maybe they are selling now but for those don't have those, maybe they are still accumulating.
724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Farmer's Bitcoin Investment on: July 22, 2023, 05:18:31 PM
Investing in Bitcoin is a wise decision because those who once set their sights on Bitcoin want to stay in Bitcoin forever. @OP You must be convinced that the price of Bitcoin in 2025 will double from 2021 if you invest in the present. So invest enough amount in Bitcoin according to our decision. Because if you want to invest for a long time, you can definitely get benefits and the risk will be least.
Everyone should learn from your decisions because there are definitely benefits to investing in Bitcoin. Because it is better to invest in Bitcoin than to accumulate money for a long time because from here you will get double benefit.
It's as good as saving money but a little better because it counters the inflation and allows us to multiply our money even without putting more money in it. Therefore yes, it is a wise move. Not all are fortunate in Bitcoin so some of them leave and never look back again but for those who gain a benefit, they are still there and wants to stay on here as long as Bitcoin is still profitable.

I still think that long-term investing has more risk than the shorter-terms because you don't know what's coming up ahead but despite of it, many people are still going for the long term as they think this was the only way for them to see those higher price levels.
725  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 10 tips to manage one's emotions while trading crypto. on: July 22, 2023, 03:59:19 PM
Sometimes, emotional instability is also caused by very high expectations. Especially in Bitcoin investment, many people only see other people's success from investing and in the end they hope to be like that too. but in fact, investing is not as smooth and smooth as that, especially investing in Bitcoin which incidentally is also risky. There are times when the Bitcoin market drops suddenly, and if expectations are too high but you suddenly see the market drop, without having other balanced and good emotional management, then this is enough to create panic and eventually cut loss, which will have a negative impact on their mindset regarding investing in Bitcoin.

because of that, it is true that emotional management is very important in investing in Bitcoin or in other fields. because this is one of the keys to maintaining how our investment plans are too.
These people may not know that what they saw online are mostly fake. It was only a kind of bait for those people to sign up under the poster and the poster the ones who will get the benefit the most. For those who are legit success stories, we can use them as a motivation to improve our lives as well (if it isn't yet) but we should have our own goals too because not all people are the same.

Some only has a smaller capacity and wanting to have more may not really be possible for them anymore and that can cause them a disappointment. Many people say that investing is easy but you're right that they are wrong. It is boring and then so many factors can come which can affect our focus.
726  Economy / Economics / Re: Building a prosperous business on: July 22, 2023, 09:05:23 AM
Let your purpose of establishing a business be on solving a problem not just to make money. If your reason to creat a business is to make money, you may get discourage within months if good profit weren't made. Establishing a prosperous business isn't easy, there’s a lot that goes into it. As you begin your business journey, keep these tips in mind, focus on planning, and take the time to test as much as possible. The more you prepare upfront, the more likely that your business will succeed.
I do agree with most of your points and they are obviously important for someone thinking to start a business, but there are a couple of points that I don't really agree with. The first point that I don't agree with is one shouldn't quit their day job before starting their own business, it might be possible in some of the cases where the business is handled by someone else at the beginning until it starts working but it doesn't work all the time because most of the times, a person starts a business individually.

The second points that I don't think is important for a business is to have a business partner, and I say that because most of the times, a business where there are more than one partners will start having issues after the business starts getting successful because people start thinking of getting more profits shares than others and that is when it starts creating issues in the business.
727  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as a newbie - advice? on: July 20, 2023, 07:00:16 PM
Before buying a trading book, look at those links that have been given to you. There are free resources that you can read and search for them first before deciding to buy.
Aside from those reading materials, check on exchanges that have a demo account. From there, you will have the idea on how it looks like to trade and how much risk you're willing to take.
I don't know why most people, especially newbies, ignore this but demo accounts are a great way to practice your knowledge to have an idea about how you are doing after learning the things, if you have learned a new trading strategies, simply go ahead and use the demo account to test it out to see it if works or not, you can also see if you start trading with whatever knowledge you have gained so far to see if you will get profitable or not.

Newbies generally just invest their real money after learning a little bit about trading and that is how they incur losses, if they don't use real accounts with real money but practice with demo accounts first and learn everything properly, they won't have to face any losses when they start trading with real money.
728  Other / Archival / Re: [GUIDE] Who are Professional Traders? on: July 20, 2023, 05:16:11 PM
An eye watering read it was but, worth the time spent going through it. Certainly something that would prove very useful to beginners on the forum and clears certain misconceptions about the term.

There are ideas that have spanned through assumptions of what could be that precedes what is. Like, a lot of users on and off forum assumes the term to describe;

1. One that has taken up trading for a career, not necessarily working or trading for a firm.
2. The second term focuses on the trader haven't closely perfected his or her analysis to come very close to attaining success on many trades.

Still, the OP defines ot differently, not one that focuses on success on the field but one that works with a firm and is being paid a salary.

Don't know why one could be so good and still choose to leave on salaries.
This is the most common misconception that we had when defining a professional trader, so thanks to the OP for having such post in order for us to correct our mistakes. I think those who are defined here as professional trader are not really that good enough and have a 100 percent winning rate every time they make a trade. They are not confident on risking their own money to make more money, that is why they just work for someone else.

You can ask the same question to your self. Why you are still there on your current job if you think you are skillful enough to live on your own? It's because there are still uncertainties and a problem can occur at any time.
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will you sell Shib now? Am holding on: July 19, 2023, 05:40:42 PM
I'm not sure if you still have Shiba Inu coins in your hands as we'd never hear any updates but whether you still have them, I suggest not to hold them long-term if you want to earn a profit from crypto. Because as I observed, those projects that have been hyped before have drastically moved down and never risen again. And this is going to happen with Shiba Inu because they are just passing by. Projects that don't have a working product and huge community will never survive the competition.
Some people simply don't understand that meme coins are not to be held for long, if you have invested in a meme coin and it has touched a very high point once and started coming down, that is the exact time when you need to sell your tokens back because even if you are losing a few dollars, it's better than having all your money stuck in the token because these tokens can't gain any organic growth and they will stay down forever after that.

So people need to understand that Shiba or any other meme coin, they are not like Bitcoin or Ethereum that they will gain their value back or will go higher than their previous all-time highs even if there is a bull run because they don't have any utility or organic growth mechanism and they will only go up if there are heavy investments.
730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: AI Coins Speculation on: July 19, 2023, 10:33:20 AM
I just think that maybe the fact that AI development needed quite sometime for polishing, would means that it might be suited for long term investment.
as many have stated many of the use case of nowadays ai tokens or coins in general has been quite underwhelming.
to say that they could beat openai and the like are a bit stretch, considering the fact that elon and many other has been about releasing their own AI company.
I wonder how these AI coins could spare against these large corporation and billionaires trying to get that piece of cake.
The AI projects are not new and polishing means just a few retouches. It shouldn't take a long time to take effect and we don't know maybe it was done already before when the hype of them is still there? But it's not enough for the people to hold on to them. If there are projects which are suited for long-term investment, those are still the coins that we already know the most.

There are indeed big known AI's. If ever they enter the world of crypto, they could easily dominate here but they are not greedy enough as on what we usually saw on the market. They just propose their junk here in hopes that they get lucky and people will invest on it blindly.
731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between pi and bitcoin on: July 18, 2023, 05:10:45 PM
Comparing pi network to Bitcoin is a very big mistake, because pi network has a very long way to go, mostly for minner that is mine pi that can not transfer from one wallet to another, because of token been locked. Not talk of trading expect, well keep mining pi network, I'm not discouraging anybody but, I rather wait when the pi miner start selling and I we buy from the exchange.
That is never going to happen, PI is not coming to any exchange because it is nothing more than a scam project that was created to first fool people by giving them free tokens and asking them to invite others so that they can have a huge userbase and then impose a rule that everyone has to complete KYC for the tokens to get released to the mainnet, lol. If they really had this plan, why didn't they share it in the beginning so that everyone could know?

Even if they don't scam their users, which is not very likely to happen, they are cheaters is all I can say, because they have cheated their users by not disclosing any KYC requirement in the beginning or not having any whitepaper with the project details and everything.
732  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I Use Emergency funds or Sell my Assets ? on: July 18, 2023, 04:22:59 PM
Bro really out here defeating all the financial advisors on the planet lmao. Holding Fiat is a little out there you know, you got to be specific. For instance saving your money in the bank is considered holding fiat, and I dare say saving your money even if it's in fiat form isn't really that bad to be honest. You're also a little idk man. Your emergency funds are called emergency funds for a reason. You don't use them just cause your financial advisor asked you to invest your money on something. It's not money that is meant to be invested or be used to gain profits. It's literally there to be your safety net for when times get rough. I would much rather prefer OP using his assets as those can be reacquired anyway and who's to say he doesn't have assets that are easily recoverable? That way he doesn't have to spend his saving grace just so he can fund his investment? Cause I'd never go out there investing what's supposed to support me if shit hits the fan my guy. I'd much rather sell my other assets instead.
Totally agreed, the money you have kept for emergencies shouldn't be used for anything at all, even if there is an investment opportunity that might provide you with great profits but you can't do that because the money for emergencies can't be used or made stuck in an investment plan. People usually get greedy when they hear about an opportunity, and they invest their life savings in it and then regret it later when they need money but have none.

Someone should always keep two types of savings, one they should keep for emergencies and the other they should use for things like these if they want to make an investment or buy something, they should use the other savings, but it is very difficult to manage to save that much money.
733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 17, 2023, 01:20:09 PM
PSG was only one point ahead of Lens and that was with all those stars still being part of the team. When many changes happen within a team, it first needs to be seen how the uncertainties play out and how unexpected discrepancies can be settled. New players need to be integrated and time needs to pass until everyone can work diligently without being on the title page of every single newspaper in the whole country. Lens has now played several good seasons in a row and the changes at PSG won't go unnoticed. I am sensing a potential change at the top of the table in Ligue 1 in the next season.
I also feel in this way for the last few weeks but after checking few things in both squads I have feeling PSG is still superior and have enough quality to keep things at the top with Lens is also doing good and have good record, but they are not competitive like PSG with now they are also having Champions League matches ahead in coming season and this could be also created problems for them as well because PSG is capable of handling this all as they are doing already in last few seasons, but Lens is surely now have spot into Champions League they will surely face tough workload but now in this season we will have good and another close fight for the title because few teams are trying their best for increasing their rank in league table.
734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 17, 2023, 10:49:53 AM
Lukaku's future still remains unclear at this moment. He was making so many mistakes. That makes his future is undefined right now. It's likely lukaku will be going to the juventus instead of saudi club but this is only my 2 cents. It's caused by juventus is the only possible club in serie a to get him since intermilan withdraws from the race to get him. Lukaku being disliked by so many people due to his bad attitude. Even chelsea doesn't even need him right now caused by the club has signed some good strikers.

It can still be considered as important game for him to play. It's caused by tonali shall created chemistry to the another player. That's why tonali needs to play in the pre season matches.
I just see newcastle's official youtube was publishing his first day in newcastle.

Tonali looks so humble.
After last season's Champions League final we have not good new for the Romeo Lukaku with his future is surely now have uncertainty Inter Milan is already withdraw their big Chelsea is not interested to keep him and if they fail to sell him then most chances he has to spend his season mostly on bench, and he is already rejected Saudi League offer which mean now just last positive thing is can Juventus go through for him, or they will also just stay at their current bid which is not acceptable for the Chelsea.

From here now if Juventus able to sell Vlahović then most chances he will be in Juventus squad for the next season and have chance for the revival of his career but this not happened then surely it's going to be big problem for his career revival, and he needs to think about alternative like Saudi League because only this can bring back his career at better way otherwise it's all gone from now.
735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 17, 2023, 05:53:49 AM
There is little possibility that Inter milan will try to increase the amount of the offer because Lukaku for Inter milan is one of the players who can be relied upon and it has been proven that when he was at Inter milan, Lukaku was very consistent in every game.
Even though Chelsea turned down their Inter milan offer because it might only be a small amount but if Inter increased the amount quickly Chelsea would agree.
I'm not sure if Juventus offered a high price and Chelsea agreed but if Lukaku refuses then surely this transfer can't be done.
We can expect this in near future because Inter Milan is serious about him but as we have Juventus also doing negotiations about him this can turn into other way and if Juventus increase their big then most chances he will join them or there is another possibility Juventus is also looking for the swap of Vlahović which is also interesting after fail last negotiations between Chelsea and Inter Milan now his future is unpredictable but most chances we will have good chance for him to stay here in Italy and play for another big club because most chances if he has no opportunity then he is going to sit on bench for the season and then have to wait for the next season for his next chance Chelsea and their new coach is not serious about his return to the Premier League which is surely big setback for him.
736  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin What is the probability of 60 K+ again? on: July 16, 2023, 06:26:23 PM
I think $ 60k is a price that is still realistic to achieve this year, there is still more than 5 months so many things can happen, and of course the hope of rising at the end of the year can be an easy thing for us to achieve because in early 2024 there will be a halving day which would usually make a lot of users panic to buy.
Early 2024 isn't the day of the halving nor it's the month, and I don't see any reason why people would panic buy during the halving year or month but most people tend to make more purchases during these times because they think halving will increase the prizes of almost all cryptocurrencies available in the market, so whatever you've managed to buy will most probably gain value during the halving and everyone expects that to happen.

The price of Bitcoin wouldn't reach $60k this year in my opinion, because even if we have crossed the $30k mark, there is still a long way to go for it and 5 months aren't enough for that in my opinion, so the price of Bitcoin will also go across that level only during the halving event or after it.
737  Economy / Economics / Re: How Long in Years Should I Wait Before I Close Down an Unprofitable Business on: July 16, 2023, 04:46:42 PM
In an average years a start up business could be profitable in 2 to 3 years time. That is right if your business is not earning within 36 months you probably shut it down or if you still want to revive it you have to change your marketing plan and assess what is wrong with you current strategy why you are not able to generate profit. That it is possible that your business is not profitable in the first 3 years then it would boom on the 4th year. That is why businessmen has a high risk tolerance in creating his own business. To be able to have a profitable business you should have a lot of patience, capital, a good marketing strategy, and also you do know your specific goal, know your customer as well.
I think that was long. Maybe if the business is slow and then other things are not that great but that's better, at least the efforts are not wasted and maybe after these periods, earning will now be easy because the business is already well known to the public and they already have improved. If we want to revive a dead business, we need to change our approach as a whole and not just in the marketing side.

Even if you become successful about it but your product is still lousy, do you think the hype will stay? No, it won't. The last thing that you said which is know your customer, reminds me of KYC online lol but yes it's important and the KYC offline is different. It is knowing what their need is and then you need to be friendly about them so that they will keep on coming back.
738  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture can save your country from recession on: July 16, 2023, 07:42:10 AM
In the recent world, investing in Agriculture may be a way to save oneself from poverty and also relieve ones country from recession. Countries like China, India, Brazil and Indonesia have used agriculture to improve their economy in recent time. Almost all aspect of agriculture is profitable if done in the right way but some may be more profitable than others. This also depends on ones interest and ones country unless one plan to export its products. My choice of agriculture is vegetable plantation. Here is my tomato farm
Agriculture is indeed a good job as long as you know how to do it properly and well. Because the results are always more useful for the public and can also be used to save ourselves from poverty. In my neighborhood there are also many farmers who grow shallots, chilies, and long beans and most of them do manage to produce very satisfactory yields. And I think farming doesn't always have to be towards vegetables, but also towards fruits as long as those fruits are fruits that are very often consumed by many people around you.

Because fruits that are often consumed such as bananas, mangoes, apples, oranges and grapes also have a fairly good price so that a person can also save himself from poverty if the harvest is large and large. But if you are more skilled at farming to grow vegetables, I think you are also not wrong to do it now, especially if the vegetables you are planting are tomatoes which are basically consumed by everyone in this world. We wish you success with your farm mate.
I think it's not a job if you own the farm but it's more like a hobby and it can be profitable if you decide to sell your crops. There are still jobs out there related to agriculture which you can apply and work for. There were many farmers on my place but they are still poor. Maybe these people are not educated enough, especially in terms of finances. Yes, farming is wide and not only limited to veggies.

I think animals are also covered with it. It's always better to start what we are planning immediately. It could be that we will start planning now and then do the move tomorrow or two. Farming takes time to see the results so we should act quickly.
739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: July 15, 2023, 06:44:46 PM
I've almost forgotten about the Chinese League now because I'm enjoying following the latest developments in the Arab League, especially in player transfers. More interestingly, it's not just one, two, or 3 players, but they also bring in more than what I imagined. And it's not just one club doing it either, but those who have the money will not hesitate to hunt for players. Although there may be some players who are rumored and even I think it's a bit exaggerated with the price. But that's how a club with money does it. Lol
Haha we've forgotten about the Chinese League even one of the clubs is reportedly bankrupt, of course we don't want the same thing to happen to clubs in the Saudi League too pushy to bring in top players so that income does not match expenses, let's see how strong the clubs in this league are to bring in more top players. Reportedly 3-4 clubs in this league are owned by the same company which means all expenses will be financed by the company including 3-4 clubs I can't imagine how much money they have  Cheesy
Many people have forgotten about Chines League but still miscalculating things as they are comparing them with the Saudi League here we have completely different conditions and visions as well for the both leagues here in Saudi League mostly clubs are control by just few companies which are having good support from the Authorities in this Kingdom which are working on for their vision of soccer world cup and surely as they are preparing things could be having big impact on many things for this.

Chines done few mistakes, and they lost their all big investments and now having few clubs near bankrupt but Saudi league is going on completely different way, and they could be developed their basic structure and also have good media intention as well which will bring good investment and people's interest which will help them for having world cup here with success.
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If I have 1BTC So how did I use to invest in different Coins on: July 15, 2023, 05:34:05 PM
general rule fo thumbs for many is that allocating very small share of the money to invest in altcoin just to convert it to bitcoin again for long term investment.
i think many have done that and they are gaining quite the money overtime and its such a good strategy too considering the money invested in bitcoin will almost always turns out to be great.
but I think altcoin investment not gonna be always that smooth sailing as expected.
so someone should make analysation first as usually. but after all it does indeed gives more profit than the other considering the volatile nature of altcoin in general.
therefore for altcoins I prefer to invest in altcoins that are close to bitcoin in ranking. for new altcoins maybe with small capital can be invested, considering that it has a big risk, so even if we lose, don't experience panic considering we still have major capital which can cover losses later. Above, we have mentioned several altcoins that are worth investing in, and we hope that the increase will exceed the increase in bitcoin, we are just trying to increase the risk higher, but basically stay safe. different from the new altcoins where we are just waiting for the pump and selling it, because if a dump occurs, it will be difficult to crawl back up
Personally, I wouldn't prefer converting my Bitcoins to altcoins probably because I believe in Bitcoin way more than any altcoin and I know that it is all because of Bitcoin if altcoins go up in price, if Bitcoin stays down, altcoins can't move up at all. But, if I had to do that for some reason, I would probably go with coins that are the most trusted ones after Bitcoin such as ETH, BNB, DOT, DASH, etc., because I know these won't deceive me.

Going with new projects and new tokens is risking all your capital, especially if you have converted your Bitcoins only to buy altcoins, you shouldn't buy ones that aren't trusted enough or can't provide you with significant gains when there is a bull run or even if there isn't a bull run.
