This break could be very useful for Milan and, on the other side, could be bad for Inter which will have to stop its good winning streak. It will be many days with no games for Inter and this might lead to deconcentrate Inter players. Can't wait for Serie A to come back  Wink
722  Economy / Gambling / Re: If you loose your funds don't loose the fun on: March 25, 2021, 07:52:14 PM
I don't believe that. When you lose your money, you are also loose the fun, actually it's not will be fun. Doesn't matter it's small amount or any afford you can afford to lose, as longa s you lose it, you never be happy from that.
People who say they are still fun even though they lose their money, it's just a word to hide their real feeling.
It is true that we cannot hide that feeling with ourselves and when we lose in gambling, the fun will disappear along with anger and regret will come, we here only love our hearts with sweet words, even though the fact is that pleasure occurs when we win.

I cannot deny that gambling can be happy with the losing heart when gambling, whatever it is we who feel that we will still try to be happy with the defeat, but I am sure that everything is different in this matter and how to keep their hearts in gambling when they lose.
I have lost quite large sums several times.  Of course, it wasn't funny at first.  Then time passed, experience came, and now if this happens, I treat failure philosophically, like paying for pleasure, that is, like buying a service.
Here's an example:  you went to see a film.  We looked, maybe you liked it, maybe you didn't like it, but you paid for the ticket.  And what about the exit from the cinema.  I got the pleasure, paid the money.
And I forgot about this movie.  Something like this. Smiley
Obviously, it depends how much money you lose and, trust me, that losing big amounts is not like spending 10 bucks for a movie or 30 for a concert. It's really not the same also because the difficult psychological sides of losing which leave their mark on us. It's good it's over for me, I'm out  Grin

Do you think that trading options can be considered fun? IMHO I consider that dead boring!  Grin
Now, not questioning the fun you get by trading options, the pain and the discomfort you feel when you lose is actually the same you'd feel if gambling, so that makes sense.
If you're not a pro stop trading options Wink
724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 24, 2021, 08:10:29 PM
There are a few Teams that should be playing on the Top but dont know what happend to them as they playing very bad the last weeks!
Dortmund , Hoffenheim , Leverkusen and Leipzig are the ones and they played last year and at the beginning of the season very good.
Maybe it was the CL playing or something but dont know why they dont can keep there performance anymore.
Why Leipzig, IMHO those guys are doing great! They're only 4 points away from Bayern Munich and they are keeping up quite well. I do see your point if we take Hoffenhein, Dortmund and Leverkusen into account as their respective seasons could have been much better.
I'm following Leipzig very closely, and trying to leverage on them when betting; I have a small but profitable bet if they win Bundesliga  Wink

Have you guys heard what happened to Cesare Prandelli, Fiorentina's manager? He decided to resign from his role because he could not be able to cope with both the stress and the anxiety associated to the job. He said he lost passion in what he was doing and therefore decided it was over.
Sad story

Yep but if is it only that is not a big problem, he is a millionaire. If he sick then is a different story.

I'm sure workers in factory has more problem than him and more anxiety with their low wage than him.
What kind of comment is that? So if I'm a millionaire I can't be sick, I can't feel pain, I should always be good?
WTF is wrong with you man? Moreover, who are you to judge what another man does in a difficult situation?
Next time, please refrain to add some noise only to get a few cents to post here.

quantum computer impacts are getting closer: https://arxiv.org/abs/2103.06159

Quote
Factoring 2048 RSA integers in 177 days with 13436 qubits and a multimode memory

Caution: They did not build such a computer or even factorize anything with it. They just proposed an architecture and calculated how effective it would be if someone could build it.

So this is no reason to panic, but it feels like the impacts are getting closer.

LArgest Quantum computer they can build is 53 Qbits. Still, it is starting to come down the old tracks....
nothing to worry about at the moment.

bought a small bunch of corn at 52k, done with my monthly buy.

Also, merit me I'm poor

I definitely agree with the latest interview released by former player Antonio Cassano who stated that Ronaldo is creating a 'big problem' for coach Pirlo at Juve. He said that Ronaldo is doing Juve more harm than good and he believes that the 5-time Ballon d'Or winner is right at the heart of their issues.
It's true, Ronaldo needs to find another club soon or, better, should reduce his immense ego.

If you lose your funds, don't lose the fun. Please don't lose the use of the English language too.
Back on topic, I can relate to the topic as I've lost quite a considerable amount back in 2018 that now would be a huge life changing amount of money. I moved on and got back on track, always learn from your mistakes.
729  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you explain ETF to a 5 years old child? on: March 23, 2021, 06:42:20 PM
Do you mean nft? As in a token you can buy to own something on the blockchain?

There are nfts of artwork for example?

And etf is an old concept from stock trading.
Grin funny thread, Op basically exchanged NFT for ETF... how hilarious.
Op, can you please update the thread title and the original post? That way your post would still make sense, otherwise it might get deleted.
hurry up

That's what I wanted to say and, of course, over a bigger number of players that play numerous bets it's usual to find those who collect high multipliers that go on the leaderboard.
I have a specific question on the site: connecting via Tor gives an error and on the url bar I see the following

I guess no Tor players allowed.

I have offically joined the ranks of retired WO gentleman. Working just seems kinda pointless

I think this might be becoming a thing... my last day is April 2nd..  officially retiring early.  Sold a smallish chunk to diversify so that if we have an 80% crash, I can ride it out without selling the dip... but yeah.. mostly the same plan.   good feelings Smiley

8+ years later I'm retired with a close to double-digit $million fortune. What an incredible experience it's been.

Congratulations to all of you.

This could be an interesting poll -- who of us has retired thanks to bitcoin?
It's not my time......yet! too small of a fish.

Don't want to get into any of your specifics or your OPsec, but $50 per week for 7 years would have put relatively "small fish(es)" into a decent place... - nearly 22 bitcoin and a value of nearly $1.3 million - with "ONLY" about a $18.5k investment spread over 7 years.

I wish I'd have been that consistent dear JJG  Roll Eyes

It's purely based all the Law of large numbers, nothing more nothing less. No strategy dear luckmcfly, only pure bare luck. For what it's worth you can also change the seed every time you place a bet as that'd give you the same probability of hitting a high multiplier.
I'm sorry for my tone but I can't stand when somebody applauds to non-existent strategies solely basing on a winning bet (out of how many losses?).
733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 22, 2021, 08:34:57 PM
Can I laugh at Juventus too? How bad you really need to be to lose against a team that is coming from Serie B? Is it the best these weak millionaires can give on the pitch? They should spit blood or at least that'd be what I'd do if I was given a chance to play for Juve.
734  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: HSBC canada not allowing to buy any crypto related instrument on: March 22, 2021, 08:27:44 PM
Very bad news coming from Canada then, they probably want everyone to only use their stupid ETF to buy bitcoin. Personally, I believe some wealthy bitcoiner should create the biggest bank in the world therefore allowing bitcoiners from all over the world to transact freely everywhere without restrictions.
A bank for bitcoiners, how awesome that would be?
735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rich List on: March 22, 2021, 08:16:23 PM
Nice, viewbase is what I was actually looking for!  I'm trying to analyze what these inflows/outflows really mean in terms of price action and I must say that I see viewbase as a perfect complimentary source for bitcoinity and glassnode.
Merited you for that.
736  Economy / Speculation / Re: ARE WE STILL BULLISH OR BEARISH ? on: March 21, 2021, 03:14:48 PM
Bullish all my life, or at least until bitcoin reaches the infamous $100,000! We haven't got there yet and we will get there, I don't know if this year or the next one. Some up and downs along the way will be inevitable but the road is marked out.
737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rich List on: March 21, 2021, 03:09:44 PM
The Bitcoin Rich List, as others have pointed out, is misleading since anyone can (and should) hold their funds in multiple addresses. Leaving one's funds in one single address is beyond stupid and very dangerous. Apart from exchanges and custodians who are more or less obliged, other users should have multiple addresses in accordance with their availability. Redundancy rules

739  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think about borrowing against your bitcoin? on: March 21, 2021, 02:42:34 PM
Borrowing without selling to get a few bucks it's quite a great thing for me. Last month I needed to buy both a washing machine and a vacuum cleaner and since I was short of cash I borrowed from Nexo credit line and sent the day on my crypto.com visa card. Next month I will repay in full and that's it.
740  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: A new wave of Bitcoin scam/phishing emails - Watch out ;) on: March 21, 2021, 02:36:50 PM
Just received an email where they ask me to send a tiny amount to an address that will double the amount as I've been selected winner of some Binance lucky draw. The address is noreply@binanceluckydraw.co
Keep your eyes open, nobody will ever do these sort of promotions but scammers.
