721  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Analysis/Signals/Trading Ideas from Tradingview on: October 20, 2023, 08:30:53 PM
Apart from Tradingview do you know any other site where I can see Analysis/Trading Ideas of any technique (order flow, elliot waves, fibobox, chartism etc)?

And do you have any tips to know which are the best Trading Analysis/Signals/Trading Ideas from Tradingview ?

It seems that anyone can share their Analysis/Signals/Ideas on Tradingview....

Why are you looking for alternative to tradingview? Reason why I'm asking this is that tradingview can literally do all you mentioned, you just need to follow the guy with the idea, follow them and then read the chart explanation. Eliot wave is practical, you can do it with tradingview if you understand Eliot wave better, you can also do order flow with tradingview but with the help of a script but not available for free I think.

You want a honest truth, tradingview is the only place that can offer you all without any payment. The website is fast and very light unlike other ones that lag and they they don't show you the tools. Before you can access most of them in other platforms, you will have to go premium. Going premium also doesn't guarantee anything, you may not even have some available things that are free on trading, in addition with $10 you can unlock many features of premium account.

722  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You are also like them? on: October 20, 2023, 07:30:43 PM
Watching these YouTuber 'technical analysts' is like witnessing a comedy show. They just scribble lines on a Bitcoin chart and act like they're gazing into a crystal ball. But the reality is, they're about as accurate as a broken clock – right only twice a day. It's laughable how they sell this snake oil, predicting the future with squiggly lines. I wouldn't bet a Satoshi on their so-called insights!

I don't take some YouTubers seriously, when you check them, they are more inclined to make the money on ads YouTube give than to teach real tutorials that will be beneficial to traders. If at all some of them are expert as they think they are, I think they will really make money from trading than the tutorial videos they create on YouTube, even the YouTube channels that teach trading with lots of views are also more interested in the content creating as a job than the real trading because trading is really hard.

There is nothing to worry about these type of traders, just ignore and don't buy their premium service, we have plenty of them in telegram claiming to be good traders that share position and ideas about a chart and then give their honest opinion and expect you to copy the signal and after some months, they start to offer service for members that need special group treatment but this things are all scam.
723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 20, 2023, 05:46:22 PM
Now it makes sense to say that previous matches and consistent performance in the Domestic League cannot be completely used as a benchmark, because playing in the UCL is very different. Of course everyone was shocked by Arsenal defeat to Lens, and it is evident that surprises happen more often in the UCL. Even though on paper Arsenal has a better chance than Sevilla, that doesn't mean the opposite can't happen, but if you look at the statistics, Arsenal should be superior.

Even though I'm not really sure Arsenal can get 3 points this time at come to Sevilla, I don't think they will lose that match. Sevilla has an advantage because they act as hosts, then they have to create their own luck while hoping that Arsenal doesn't play well so they can take advantage of it, because whether they admit it or not, Arsenal is still better than Sevilla.

Was there a team in the last Champions League that weren't doing better in their own domestic league, clearly all the teams made it out the knockoit stage were among top 6 teams in their standing and guess who even won the Champions League, it was Manchester City and they went ahead to win treble after winning the FA cup. Domestic league performance matters but it can't be use as a benchmark in the group stage and also in the round of 16, this stages are sometimes luck due to late preparations by some teams or early preparations by teams people expected less performance.

There is no much data to and statistics for Sevilla and Arsenal but the emirate cup is enough to justify what they are going to play next. I'm not sure how prepare Saka injury is going to be but if we have Saka and Jesus starting that match like they did back then, they will quick finish Sevilla in the first half, been the host doesn't matter in this stage because Arsenal are better than them in all ramifications.
724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 20, 2023, 05:18:30 PM
Speculation about Lionel Messi returning to Barcelona continues to be discussed, but for me it is not a desirable scenario. Lionel Messi's contract will end in year 2025 and if he plans to return to Barcelona in the following year it is much less likely. If he intends to play in the World Cup for his country then the most likely thing is for him to stay in MLS with an automatic contract extension and I believe this to be a much more likely scenario for him than returning to Barcelona.

Of course no one knows how the rest of Lionel Messi's career will go in the future, but I think Barcelona should think about other options compared to bringing Lionel Messi back to Camp Nou. The salary issue may be a consideration and Lionel Messi is unlikely to be willing to accept a small salary to return there, although that is just my assumption.

Messi was a free agent when he left PSG, if he wanted to really stay in Barcelona, he would have taken the deal of Barcelona before Inter Miami but at the end, he accepted Beckham deal of Apple revenue over Spanish club. However, if LaPorta is keen to have him back to the family, he will accept the deal on some condition if Inter Miami are going to be the middle man that will be paying his wages. This is the only acceptable deal Messi might want to accept because Barcelona still owe him some money till today, they are too broke to have Messi on their payroll.

I think the speculations are just around everywhere because people wan to push agenda but if it's the way Messi smile on games and entertained Americans, he will stay their untill the end of his contract, he even just bought house in US in other to accommodate his family with a new life, and Barcelona will want to take that from them, seems LaPorta will spend more than what the club generate if he really want to have Messi come back to Barcelona.

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with Jesse Lingard pursuing a career in the Arab League because there perhaps his skills can be honed well, especially by Steven Gerrard. For this season, Arab clubs are focusing a lot on attracting European players, but if it is Al-Ettifaq class, bringing in Lingard will not be as easy as other Arab clubs that have to compete. Remembering that when Steven Gerrard was interested in his abilities, maybe there was potential he wanted to explore in Lingard.

Lingard has spent all his life in England both national and clubs yet not a single Premier League nor Champions League he has ever won, and he has only been a supportive in the last 5 years, even in his last transfer to Nottingham Forest, not a single goal was scored by him. I don't think there is nothing left for him in England, he will push for Saudi Arabia by January when their own transfer market start, Lingard will prefer to have some paycheck from Al-ettifaq than retire in his 30.

725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ? on: October 20, 2023, 04:48:36 PM
This basically tests someone's relationship. If you are gambling so much that your spouse tells you to stop and yo udo not, that is not testament on your addiction, that is testament on how you do not love the person you are with enough. This isn't like eating or drinking or anything fun, this is gambling, it's addiction, it's a bad thing, like how your spouse may also say stop taking drugs, it is a good thing that they are trying to stop you.

It is not time to "be the man" and reject them, if you do not listen and keep doing it and do not care about them, that means you do not love them enough, any man would know that if you love a woman you would stop breathing for them, you would die for them, stop gambling is nothing compared to that. My wife is not like that, she likes to gamble too, so we do not have that type of stuff but she did ask me to stop some things back in the day and I quit them, even though it was a tough deal, I still did it for her.

I know rights. It's more perplexing that many here are saying they can't sacrifice gambling for love but we know how and what happened behind the scene with love and how weak people become to change what they do because of love. As hard as it may seems been a red pill man that don't yield to the demand of a woman, there are some things you do just for peace to prevail, there are sacrifice you make for your wife not because they are right about their choice but because you choosed peace over drama, imagine your marriage is about to crash because your wife want you to stop gambling, it doesn't make sense if husband ignore her and prefer been stubborn.

At my first reply to OP, I was saying that I can quit because someone want me to quit but I bring marriage into the scenario and then had a rethink that at the end everyone are going to drop their 1 cents and opinions but we know better what they are going to do at the end. They will prefer to be in peace and harmony with their partner than to stay single because their partner want them to stop gambling.
726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 19, 2023, 06:25:26 PM
Chelsea current situation puts pressure on them to immediately get someone who is very reliable like Osimhen, even though whatever the price, Chelsea will definitely buy him immediately because the pressure of poor performance requires Chelsea to immediately move quickly to get new, more qualified players and the only other question is whether Osimhen wants to join Chelsea? meanwhile, Osimhen always chooses to join a team that has a better future for a career in higher competitions and on the one hand, Chelsea situation seems to scare high quality players from joining that team.

and for the price that will be offered from Napoli I will try to guess that Napoli will definitely make an offer of more than $150m and it will not be more than $200m.
If Napoli make an offer of $200m I will laugh until my stomach hurts, because that an unreasonable price.

I wanted Osimhen to live Italy completely and comes to England and have a better life but he has received immensely love from Italy people but I'm concern with some faction of people in that league that hate him badly because of racism. The problem with racism is that no matter how they try to eliminate it completely, it will be difficult to remove completely and my concern is that they love signing Africans players.

I will he happy if I see him in England but godforbid, not in Chelsea. Osimhen childhood club has always been Chelsea but looking at the current form of Chelsea, that's not the best decision to do right now. They will only use and waste his career like they did with Enzo Fernandez and Joao Felix. Luckily, Felix left for Barcelona and has now been able.to revive back his career while Enzo is still struggling, I don't wish to see Osimhen in that form.

The only club I will want to see him is Arsenal, because he is young and very fast with tap in, Arteta has the money in his care, a good call here and there will process Osimhen to Arsenal and it will do much good for them in winning Champions league and Premier League like the way Manchester City did in the last season.
727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play equal to deposited funds before you can withdraw on: October 19, 2023, 04:59:19 PM
Before we deposit into a casino, we can ask first if there are any wagering requirements if we deposit some money, let say $10-$20. If there is and we don't want to go through the wagering requirements, we can look for another casino that is more friendly. But usually, if we deposit $10-$20, there are no wagering requirements because we are not participating in any program and can just play and withdraw the money without any problems unless it's a shady casino.

If you own a casino or any betting platforms, will you allow attempt of money laundering, of course not. Betting platforms knows over the years that casinos are been use for money laundering and you don't want to be questioned about some money that came into your platforms without been use for the purpose unless the casino really want to support laundering of money which is great to me. Most of crypto gambling platforms I know has this requirement if you must use their platforms.

The only gambling platforms that don't support 1x wagering as a requirement to withdraw funds are probably not the license ones. The license casino must be ready to accept this rules because just imagine some deposited stolen Ether into casino platforms and then without playing any games requested to have back the same amount, it will raise suspicious from the company because if they are to interrogate them of how the money.wws used, they will be prosecuted, that's clearly how money laundering is supported by some companies.
728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: October 19, 2023, 04:50:11 PM
If someone can't stop to gamble it's mean he's a gambling addict because there's no way a responsible gambler will try to gamble more than the money that they've budget for gambling.

A gambling addict is related to making money through gambling, so they will try to make as much as possible which is impossible and they will never achieve it.

Situation makes people do what they aren't meant to do in the first place. Some gamblers over gamble not because they have the intention to continuesly, they do it to win without a single loss but along the line, loss comes into the plan and when that happens, the first thing that comes to their mind quickly is to get back what they have loss and if they are not lucky on the first rollover, that's how rollover pile up in their sleeves.

Anxiety of losing everything can be terrifying because when you lose more than you plan, fear step in and if you are not the experience type, you will be angry and play more to chase the capital until you don't have anything on the balance and been addicted will never comes to your mind, they don't know they are affected already with gambling addiction.

There are very few gamblers, who gamble for fun only. I think only those who are rich and have a lot of money, only they take gambling as a fun only and may not care if they lose or win. Otherwise, most of the gamblers are very much concerned that they do not lose big money.

Your statement is one of the most avoided in gambling, people don't want to accept that gambling makes people to only gamble for money and not for the fun as they used to say. Anytime I heard I gamble for fun, rich kins men is the first thing I think of the person and if the person is not from a rich background, then I will believe the person is not saying the truth. Fun comes only if you have money to throw away.
729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 19, 2023, 04:38:58 PM
At least, because previously Arsenal managed to beat Manchester City, of course, this factor will make it predicted that Arsenal will also win against Chelsea. After all, we are all aware that Chelsea's situation and conditions have been devastated since last season, and have not improved until now. Therefore, it is natural that Arsenal remains the team that is projected to win this match and as such, the home and away factor is no longer important at this moment because on paper Arsenal will definitely win.

Only a daft analyst will look Arsenal vs Chelsea and think that Arsenal are going to lose to Chelsea, on what ground actually if I may ask? On what performances. Even if Chelsea were to have 5 winning streak in their last 5 matches and Arsenal were to lose to Manchester City, with Arsenal performance, I will s give vote of win to Arsenal because they are good and has never flop for once this season not to say that they are also doing pretty well in other Leagues like Champions League despite having incomplete squad.

Arsenal are struggling yes but I have to admit that the result is coming home and their standing has been stronger than ever, Arteta is looking to forward to have Ivan Toney from Brentford in the next transfer summer and I love that, I'm not comfortable with Napoli coming for Gabriel Jesus as speculations were around but if he should live, I believe there are more men in the corner coming to defend Arsenal mandate to the Premier League this season, get the league or die trying is our motivation these time.
730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: October 19, 2023, 04:08:14 PM
I'd like to share my experience with you all. Even though I'm not currently employed, I went through a phase of gambling while I was working in the past, and the outcome wasn't positive. It affected my job performance because, as you may know, when you lose, you tend to dwell on your losses and constantly think about strategies to win. When we talk about work, it usually means we're not particularly wealthy, and imagine what happens when we gamble money we can't afford to lose, especially when we're not earning much.

Let me tell you, the feeling is far from pleasant. It leads to a decline in your work performance, which can have significant consequences since that's your primary source of income. It might be manageable if you're winning, but the harsh reality is often quite the opposite. Even when we do win, we tend to spend most of our winnings, so we don't treat it as business money. This leaves us in a precarious situation when we lose because the money we initially budgeted for our families gets diverted to cover unexpected gambling-related expenses.

I'd like to hear from those of you who have experienced this or are still dealing with it. Please share your testimonies.

One thing I don't joke with is any attempt or element that try to disrupt my main source of income, I make sure I completely eliminate it from my life. Yes, I said what I said, if the source of income is gone today, there will be no opportunity to gamble anymore and there will not be money to feed again. You ought to have think of that and forget gambling completely because if we check your gambling history, I doubt if your gambling income will exceed your place of work income.

Furthermore, what did you take gambling? You think it's a place where you can wake up and do some magic and then double, tribe and X your wager, no. As you are thinking of the winning side, you should also think of the losing side because for every winning that you take from casino, they expect or want you to give it back in the future, that's how they profit and you want to take that all from them Grin

Another thing you should consider is break, yes take a break. It's good for the body, help relax the body and makes you productive. You don't have to gamble all the time if you don't want to start having nemesis of too much loss from gambling, you need to strike a balance between your work, your free time and gambling time.
731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: October 18, 2023, 11:10:31 PM
Of course it's better to be grateful for what we've got, responsible and non-obsessed gamblers always do it that way, just like your experience is exactly the same. Whatever the amount of their winnings, even if it's only 50% of the amount of capital they brought, they will still withdraw it and then withdraw it to enjoy. That is really much better than you continue to look for bigger wins, basically someone's greed will never end and even though you have gotten a big enough win I'm sure in that condition you will again assume and think about continuing to play to get a much bigger win than before. Greed will never end and usually always ends up with something worse.

Have you seen sporty bets analyst make sports predictions? Most of them hardly believe that bet is not something you can control, what will happen is going to happen and should not be count as luck but performance result. I have seen gambler take risk to bet huge some of money and instead of them to cashout 80%-90% of the bets to completion, they will not cashout, not untill they see the final result before they withdraw and many times I have seen such type of bets wasted as loss and some won. I don't know why they have such kind of confidence or they are trying to prove a point where there is none.

I don't know if I should called such actions greed because if it's money, some of them has legitimately made huge money from gambling and are doing fine because if you see the amount they stake in betting, if some gamblers see such amount, they might even quit gambling because it's really big amount to gain more bigger amounts and that's what I think they can afford to lose.

Quote
Coming in with the intention to have fun and make withdrawals if we are lucky with getting lucky regardless of the amount is better. I say it's not a real win if you can't enjoy the winnings. Yes it seems that you are too serious and too carried away my friend, it is like that if you are too serious then without realizing it you are very likely to fall into the trap of addiction. Right, so the point is whatever the amount of your winnings you better enjoy it, it's better to prevent than treat because it's just a matter of luck.

Every gambler has their ways of getting satisfaction, I will cashout and withdraw if opportunity arises even if I play for fun or play for money, it's better to be at safe zone than having nothing at all. As you said about luck, we can't deny that because there are some games you play and win some amount you never expected and some comes moderate and some come with lost, we must appreciate in opportunity we have when gambling and try again for better luck if we are yet to meet the target that we want.
732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: October 18, 2023, 10:56:01 PM
I have often wondered about the people who have lost a lot in gambling and who almost loose in every gambling activity they participate. What is their reason or motivation to continue even after so many losses?

One of the motivations behind a gambler that loss feverously is nothing but addiction. You can't lose and lose and then come the next day, no change of strategy or skills, no improvement, no new inspiration only to come and bet the usual ways and expect to win. Loss can be frustrating, not every gambler have the power to stomach it, consistent loss can create frustration which can result in playing more and more without any result. I really think addiction and frustration are two main reason gamblers repeatedly bet even if when they lose multiple times.

There are some gamblers that are motivated when they see others win large sum of money, anytime they loss, they act like they give up and swear not to gamble the next day but as soon as they find out that a player has won a great sum of money, they will go back to the casinos to try their luck again. In addition to frustration and addiction, success gambling from others makes people to want to gamble more even when they lose.
733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 18, 2023, 10:40:19 PM
I don't think it will be difficult for Liverpool to defeat Everton this season because their performance has been poor and I am confident they will lose against Liverpool because they are stronger than them this season. Liverpool has been performing well since the season began and they are trying their hardest to win their matches because they want to qualify for the Champions League next season.

If we are to rate Liverpool performance in this just 2 months of played matches, I will give Liverpool a thumb up because they have win more of matches that Everton has lost this season, win 5 and they lost 5, now tell me why you think Liverpool are going to yield to Everton. Remember, Liverpool are not only playing in the Premier League this season, they are also included in Europa for group stage and they stand first firmly in the table.

It's too early to give much credit for Liverpool though, I'm not too convinced because they have lost a match already and if they really want to go for the Champions League, they need the mentality of not losing games in tbe early show of the season, every point matters if they want to go for the Champions League.

Quote
If Liverpool continue to play well they can even win the Premier League trophy, but he will be very difficult for them this season because Arsenal are in hot form this season, winning large clubs now, and they will still upset Chelsea this week because Chelsea are not performing well in preparation for Arsenal, Brighton are in good form this season which is why Liverpool fail to defeat them However, Liverpool play well I can't complain about that match because both clubs perform admirably on the field.

Liverpool and Arsenal are two different teams, the same determination but it will be unwise to say Liverpool will do what Arsenal are going to do, they don't have indefatigability to push forward a winning streak, thus is what has help Arsenal achieve their goals without a losing to any team yet. They might lose moving forward but I will be happy to say they prove to the world that they are not a seasonal team that will be among top 4 and go shadow, they are still here proving great team to the people.
734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 18, 2023, 10:13:37 PM
We should not just approach issues as simple as they appear. There is no guarantee that Raya will no longer flop throughout the season and there is no guarantee that Onana has failed as a goalkeeper. Presently, we can say that Raya is doing outstandingly well and also we can say that Onana is struggling but this two developments will not remain static

You know, people are short time judgemental when things are not like the way they want. They al chant and jubilate for De Gea to.hr sasck; ETH got the approval of the board directors and man was discharged of his duty from Manchester United and they bring in Onana, they celebrated him but they are the same people that want Onana to be replaced by Raya. But they forgot football season also affect players, some players shine and have their time, even Rashford hasn't made contributions he gave the club last season into this season and they already hated him, sigh!

Quote
It is known that Manchester United is used to making mistakes in the transfer market but I can attest that the case of Onana wasn't a mistake. Onana was among the best of not the available best as at when Manchester United went into the market in search of a goalkeeper. In as much as Onana has not given his best, I can confidently say that Manchester United problem is not a goalkeeper. If Manchester United team is stabled, their goal keeper will be stable.

One thing I love about Manchester United manager, he will continue to use his players as he believes, what people and fans think is not his problem and I think it's fair to see him be himself when he want to do the job. Onana will stay unless Erik is tired of him or maybe he is not longer interested in him and I believe Onana will  improve before the international break finish because he didn't go for Cameroon to support his country in their Afcon qualifiers because of Manchester United burden.

Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ?

You must have been a terrible husband for your wife for your wife to say that you should stop gambling. Gambling has ended some relationships and marriage because of the lack of mutual understanding. I don't there is any reason why your wife will tell you not to gamble, not nice unless there is a reason that justify her demand, I will not do it because I will not stop her from doing her hobbies either so long it doesn't affect her marital vows and same goes to mine as well.

If she give her own reasons why I should quit gambling and points are pick, I will quit because I will equally do anything to save my marriage but if she just feel like I need to quit without any concrete reason, then I'm afraid I can't because some people naturally don't like gamblers, they don't want to see anything like gambling around them, I'm not sure why they are wired like that but those people need to chill, there's nothing wrong with gambling.

Sancho going to Barcelona would be a dream for both parties. Juventus is not a huge team, but Barcelona could become a great team with him, they are still not far away from the title possibility at la liga, and they are doing great at UCL as well, so all those combined could mean that we could potentially see him do fine at Barcelona.

Wasn't it same Barcelona that were be call out of several unpaid deals some few days they announced their generated revenue of 2022-2023. Erik must have really take this personal to dispatch Sancho from Manchester United. He want an apology over an unharm 2 line of post. What happened to not allowing him train and bench for some days? Seems he is going to allow his pride win than the club winning the Premier League.

Sancho is going to make a good move for Barcelona, they started well and following Real Madrid and Girona plus if Sancho in the end live Manchester United for Barcelona, he will want to impress Barcelona especially that they are in the Champions League, Manchester United are not showing any sign of making it out while Barcelona are great in their group, there is going to be pressure by next transfer window.

Quote
Juventus had so many troubles and I am guessing that we are not going to end up with that many amazing deals for them in the near future, players and their agents will know that they are not going to get what they want out of there and could face trouble and success could be very difficult. On the other hand if he goes to Barcelona then he is going to get everything he wants there, success, fame, money, everything will be there and he will be playing at the second biggest league in the world. Not like there is anyone who would be better than him neither, so he will get as much time as he possibly could as well.

Bad market for Tottenham I must say, Kulusevski will facing a trial which I guess will be a long term ban like 4-5 years but they are really fine but I can't say what is going to happen after that, but they can still look into the market, more of free agent ar roaming around the market without good offer, maybe they can find someone that can help them patch up this mess.
737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 15, 2023, 08:46:06 PM
These two teams are currently the bottom two teams in the Premier League after eight matches; Bournemouth already had three points from three draw matches; they are one point behind Burnley, who have just won one match, lost six, and drawn one so far this season, while Sheffield United have so far had just one point out of all the eight games they played; therefore, I expect Bournemouth to win the match because they have had a good performance compared to Sheffield United.

Burnley, Shefflefield, Luton town and Bournemouth suffered the same faith. Irrespective of the point differences, they are not better than each other. However I don't expect to see Bournemouth in that place because if it's experience, they escape relegation last year, at worst case they shouldn't be there right now, it's too early for a club that has experience 38 weeks of strong opposition and then slept there.

The three teams that left Championship and made it to Premier League but underperforming are understandable but it will be disappointing if they don't make it out, that's effort wasted after relagated for so many years only for them to back the prison they left just before they got promoted.

Quote
I don't think Manchester United can lose their match against Sheffield United because they really need consistency in their games in order to keep fighting for the title or top four. Therefore, for them to have consistency, they need to win their next match before facing Manchester City.

The worst team right now in Premier League is not Manchester United, Shefflefield has met with Everton and they drew, and Manchester United form is far ahead of Everton. If they should meet, they will not last 20 minutes before they concede the first goal, Manchester United will leverage them and get that point without stress. Even if you should carry straight win for Manchester United, you have nothing to worry about.

PS- Image source is from a Telegram group. I don't claim ownership of it.

This message is the most underated yet most needed message anyone in crypto needs, not to only newbies, including some people that are guilty of safekeeping thier coins on exchange but the thing is, people that wil listen are going to listen, people that will take corrections will take especially the ones that have been affected by quick scam exit, hacks and insider misappropretition of funds like mismanagement and others.

Many people that are guilty of exchange hack and exits, if they know this earlier, they will not have been among the victims. Many of them are running after the next ROI altcoins on exchanges forgeting that chasing money without puting security into consideration is like trying to make money and live it your door step. I wish even the exchange can give warning to the users about how it is unsafe to keep coins with them, this will increased the rate of custodial savings of coins.

Some few days back when the forum went down for some hours, some thoughts that I used to have suddenly resurfaced in my mind. What if the internet crashes permanently!  If for any reasons whether natural or manmade the internet suddenly stops working,, what will happen in the world. Unimaginable pandemonium is what will happen, because almost everything is connected to the internet, in fact the world today is so dependant on the internet to transact and communicate almost everything. Be it in finance, telecom, marketing and in every areas of technological advancements, all depends on the internet. It'll seem as if we've suddenly gone back to the stone age, if these where to happen.

Theymos has already addressed that in one of the thread earlier on why the forum keeps going up and down which is always a server down issue.
What you need to understand first is how the internet work. For internet to stop working completely, it means all the communication between the earth and the airspace will stop completely and if that should eventually happen, that means we are going back to the 80s and 70s when there was not internet. However, that is not going to happen, if Isreal shut down their internet today because of war, the rest of the world will continue to use the internet because they don't control other air space, their power is only limited to their country and perhaps some neigbouring countries. So, that is how the internet work.

There are alternatives today even if internet are shutdown, Elon Musk Starlink works anywhere around the world, you need your internet protocol for it to work once you properly installed it. There are also some decentralized internet on the web were you can use internet without any interruption, so chill.

I'll focus on finance, so I'm thinking what will happen to the bitcoin inside wallets, what will happen to every fiat currency in bank accounts, if everything erases as a result of internet total breakdown? Who do we hold responsible? I know that the internet technology is manmade, therefore it can not be hundred percent immune to faults and external attacks. And what if there is that less than one chance of it being faulty or compromised, what if that less than one  chance happens,? what will be the fate of the world that mainly depends on it to get things done? I'm no tech guru or a prophet of doom, but this are my thoughts and fears on the matter, although I sincerely hope that I'm very wrong on these thoughts.

I'd love to be enlightened better on why it can be impossible that the internet can never be permanently shutdown, having in mind the shortcomings that I've mentioned?

If internet should shut down today, it only stop the computer froms communicating 0 and 1, and they stop right there where the internet was shutdown, if turn back on, nothing will be lost, they will continue from where they stop.
Your assumptions are fictionals, don't think such attack is possible. I think it is because of this kind of possible attack they didn't allow internet to be control by a single country, they made it simple to use and no disturb from other people.
740  Economy / Economics / Re: If USA Will Be In The War - The Government Can Confiscate All Bitcoins on: October 15, 2023, 03:00:38 PM
If USA will be in the war in future or any international conflict that can lead to the war - the USA government can confiscate all Bitcoins for war expenses. There are already 21 millions mined BTC, so this can be real war budget booster for weapons and other expenses. USA currently has also $33.54 trillion in federal debt, so if there are such international conflict, mined Bitcoins seizing for war budget can be really on the White House decision table.

War with who in particular? You can't be in a war and just want to ban use of something when it is not affecting you. If USA should be in a war, they might want to sanction the countries that become their enemy and if they want to make payment through the bitcoin, then that's the only when it becomes an eye soar for them to confisticate any bitcoin transactions they found illicit(in their dictionary), which everyone will understand because it is personal but they can confisticate all the bitcoin, they don't have the power to do that.

Furthermore, Bitcoin miners are not situated in a single location which bitcoin decentralized and decentralized means power shared across diffrent areas. If today USA want to stop bitcoin, they can only ban it in USA but they don't have the power to it globally, the world doesn't only revolve around US, other countries have bitcoin in possession but they don't speak about it and if US don't like it, what US feel don't affect them. It might affect the price but it will get stronger with time.
