Both yobit and Cryptopia seem to be down/grinding to a halt. These sites are hardly ever down; even rarer to see both down at the same time.
Whats going on? It feels like a targeted attack - but why? For what gain? And why both sites? Anyone have any information on the situation?

There should be no minimum - instead focus on a maximum you should be trading with. Never more than you can afford to lose!
I started trading with the dust I collected from faucets. Cents eventually became dollars, dollars were lost, gained...but now I'm up hundreds. Just gotta know how to play the game without risking too much!

You must be some kind of a paranoid to check your balance every hour minutes, let alone 10 minutes. I usually check my wallet around 5 minutes after I do a transaction. I give that much time for the funds to transfer to my wallet and I just give in a little more time if the funds aren't still confirmed. I don't panic like that one user who, just after 11 minutes of after transaction, panicked because he didn't receive his funds.
Not paranoid, think of it more as an OCD type thing lol...thats how it is for me, at least |

Campaigns that get their revenue and profit solely in Bitcoin will most likely not reduce or upgrade prices accordingly.
Signature payout of 0.05 BTC is and will always stay 0.05 BTC. Price doesn't change anything for these kind of companies/services.
Well I guess that's true, can't value BTC against fiat, that's the whole point here right? |

If that's the only reason why not use a web or mobile based wallet? Personally I never had much of a problem with the qt client, even when I've let it get out of sync for a month or two, but if you're having such issues it might be a sensible move.
I'm actually unable to log into the web wallet at the moment. It's been down the last 2 times I've tried accessing. I, too, will be cashing out of DGB once I can access my funds.
I could host a site for you... yes, give me your privkeys (the main reason why people use cryptos is because them, and only them are responsible for their money). Phone wallet... Phones will never be secure, for more info google "the fappenning". The security breaches involved with the fappening are irrelevant to why people shouldn't use mobile wallets. The fappening occurred at the fault of the user, similar to why nearly all attacks occur - because the end user made a mistake/was too lazy to lock down sensitive information. Phones are just as secure/insecure as any other piece of technology, only difference is how they're being targeted by surveillance - for example, fake cell towers vs. NSA routing rooms for all regular internet traffic/etc. Custom firmware embedded into hardware...the list goes on and on, regardless of device. Nothing is 'secure' - what's important is how you can best secure your private info |
